ty for the reply – that was the most likely place I thought they would drop – thanks for the confirmation
I’d definitely appreciate some more armor with sex-appeal. Having a character that appears both attractive and powerful is pretty important to me and right now my female norn warrior looks powerful but a lot of the heavy armor almost negates the appearance of their gender.
I have a feeling you have not looked at the T3 Norn Cultural Armor…Arah Dungeon set too
I’m just sad T3 is so expensive It will be a long time before my female Norn guardian has a chance of obtaining it.
Interesting, so it’s either broken or random. I have done 250 silk scraps + 1 gossamer scrap + 5 Piles of Crystalline Duse + 5 Philosopher’s Stones = 10-50 gossamer scraps plenty of times without an unexpected result.
Anyone have an idea what mobs have the (low) chance to drop corrupted lodestones?
I need to farm a bunch for crafting but experimenting on different mobs has not yielded anything as of yet.
I too am having this issue with The Steel Tide – can not talk with Deborah at the end of the quest to finish. Please fix!
Being able to equip a 2nd weapon set would help a ton
Elementalists already get 2 times as many abilities as any weapon swap class…one weapons set = 4 (some abilities might be useless with certain weapon combo’s…but still)
Elementalists are probably the most complicated class to play, which means to be good you have to have a higher level of skill, not to say they are perfectly balanced.
All the QQ needs to stop – if you don’t like getting one shot because you gear/trait glass cannon then you chose the wrong game… Panda-land is that way —>
While I will not disagree that the 70+ area’s can be very mean (and annoying…omg annoying mobs) – these are meant to be end game zones. Just because a zone is marked “70-75,” for example, does not mean it is meant for leveling. Notice the lack of hearts in Orr (not to say hearts = leveling zone)? If these zones were designed like other games, we would have a somewhat rough time going through them in our leveling blues and greens, but it would be doable and mostly fairly easy. Then in a month or two with gold or orange armor, we would be tearing through mobs like butter – a.k.a no challenge and boring.
Get to 80 – there are plenty of other areas and methods of gaining XP below the 70+ zones – then slowly work your way across the map – stay with groups of people if you feel like you are “squishy.” I think we have to except that some classes are not meant to be solo friendly at low gear levels.
Also, not to say the players in this thread fall into this category…but caster and rogue type classes tend to gear and trait “glass cannon.” Sorry, but if you want to go glass cannon, elementalist and thief were poor choices…even a hearty warrior would have trouble in Orr full glass cannon. This game is not meant to be a walk in the park.
I almost agree, but what about the buff you get that lasts “4 days” that says immune to damage?
I don’t think they intended for wvwvw to have a repair cost. I think it’s just broken.
And no, it shouldn’t have a cost associated. If you’re defending your world, the least that the kitten useless repair guy can do is offer his services for free.
The buff you get is so you can not get attacked in your “home” camp…
So you want a zone that has free teleports and mobs/players/events that drop loot, gold, karma, and tokens – but to also have no repair costs for deaths?? yeah… I think a death penalty in WvW is justified.
Yeah I understand what you mean about that, but I just tried to delete one character of mine with a specific name and I could create another character with the same name 1 second after, so as soon as I delete it becomes available.
This being said, I could make a specific hour to delete the character so the person who will buy it could get it at that specific time.
Even though yeh, its not pratical I know.
It becomes available TO YOU – the name is locked to YOU for up to 24 hours. It is not released to the public pool of names when you delete it.
I’ll get right to the point…WvW queue times can be downright horrible. I don’t care how populated your homeworld is – no one should be in a queue for 3+ hours.
So what is a fair solution? Time limits.
A player enters WvW, a 2 hour timer begins.
15 minutes from timer expiration, the player gets a 15 minute warning.
5 minutes from timer expiration, the player receives another warning along with the option to re-queue if desired.
At timer expiration, the system either:
A) Checks that there is no current WvW queue on the players home server, timer is reset to 2 hours and player remains in WvW
B) Kicks player from WvW and auto re-queue’s them if the option was chosen
C) Kicks player from WvW
I think 2 hour blocks of time is more than fair.
My GF and I noticed this as well and it is disappointing. Companies need to figure out a way to fight gold farmers WITHOUT hurting their customers gameplay experience. Arenanet should probably rethink how long it takes until the “anti-farm” mechanism kicks in – when real money is involved (MF/XP boosts) and you can not utilize the item you purchased to the fullest – and no official statement from ArenaNet – you never know what actions buyers may take.
I can’t imagine ArenaNet would allow such a practice. However, it really doesn’t matter as it would be nearly impossible to “sell” a name. Why? Names are reserved once you create a character with a particular name for “up to” 24 hours…but the exact amount of time until the name is released is unknown. The person who purchased the name from you would literally have to spam the character creator for hours in order ensure the released name did not get taken by someone else.
