I really don’t see the point of showing this. People have been using Reflect against Lupi for years.

The only thing you’re showing is that Whirling Defense can Reflect, but then why bring it like it’s something new and unusual that noone has ever done before?

One thing to note is that you can only do this at the beginning of phase 2. Frostbow team will kill lupi in the 1st phase, which is why there are no “LF lupi Ranger” posts on the lfg tool.

This can only be done with 3 elementalists and a mesmer, that are all coordinated to use their skills at exactly the right time, not by random pugs

Only 4 people to do runs will be once in a week because most of the time not all will be logged in the game at the same time to do full tour. Btw full tour is 8 dungeons not 7.
Best option is to find a guild that specializes in that kind of way instead just few people that limit your options to do so.

Yeah you should join draco’s guild, so you’re sure you can enjoy a 8-hour dungeon tour every day (14 hours if you include fractals)

I jsut completed the full skip from beginning to lupi wall with a lh. When I have someone on I’ll test out elementalist reflects.

You can get on the lupi wall with LH, but you have to get to a certain spot where there isn’t an invisible wall, because if you stand behind the invisible wall he will just go invulnerable after a few hits

Note that this is my ranger that I purely use for WvW, and has absolutely kitten gear.
With proper crit chance and boons, you could easily oneshot him like this.
Also, this is a joke, this is not in any way better than a guard’s reflect, I’m also strongly against oneshotting lupi, and this was just me and my friend being bored and wanting to see if it could be done on other classes

But if you’re using longbow, shortbow or a bear pet in PvE, you’re basically just slowing everyone down and taking up a space that could be filled by a player that does contribute something to the group.

first off all spirit are weak and die to fast not a very good party buff for the party
second spotter is in a trait i don’t use it wont give me much survival in dungeons

axe/war horn is ok but not my style
both my LB and short bow are Aced

also the problem with zerkers are they are a gamble style
they have no toughness and no VIT in there gear just pure dps
1 mistake and there dead in 1 shot see it to offend

so that is why my build comes in with both bows i can get out save my bear pull argo and i get them up fast on there feet

so don’t tell me i don’t help the party ??
its just a other play style but i do use allot off traps to stack up allot of con damage

pretty sad what i saw also and LFG zerker party no necro -.-
so yea again necro is also not wanted

only thing Anet can do is make spirit way stronger no time limit and follow you around
like the same stats as your pets only they give buffs also with a command if the follow you ore stay ad that place that will make ranger a very good support class

Even with sword/axe and frost spirit/spotter, other classes are far more beneficial to the group than you are. And in terms of practical DPS application, your sword/axe ranger isn’t putting out the damage on fractal 50 mossman or archdiviner that other classes are because if you’re mashing your autoattack buttons, which is your actual source of DPS outside axe 4, you’re gonna take a dirt nap as it locks down your dodging windows.

And yeah, you can pause your sword autoattacks to make sure you don’t pounce animation lock yourself to death, but pausing your autoattack chain just so you can have an opening to be able to dodge IS A DPS LOSS. A forced DPS loss given the awful mechanic the weapon is saddled with.

Alternatively you can use the greatsword but that weapon is even worse DPS.

Either way, ranger is in the pit with necromancer as a class whose practical performance is far behind what the other classes can offer.

As far as I know not.
I also doubt having more targets makes him actually fire more AoE bolts, It just concentrates them on those targets more, instead of spreading them around the arena.
I could be wrong on this tho

Hardcore dungeon guilds are gonna want you to be experienced at every dungeon, and since Arah is one of the most ran ones, I highly doubt you’re gonna find a serious guild if you don’t know how to run Arah properly

melees trying to burst him after the initial shadow step are prob going to get 2-3 shotted because he does melee attack like 2-3 times which does a ridiculously amount of damage. You have to go like a super tanky high vit spec with decent amount of healing and condition damage + range spec is mostly preferred, but then that’d be annoying to kill the grubs that thing eats.

I do think its doable, but its ridiculously super hard. You’d have to make 0 mistakes almost and dodge roll every shadow step attack + range dps while dodging his ridiculous ground aoe range, which they all bounce around. It sort of reminds me of D3s one boss in act 4 Rakanoth where he charges for like 1-2 seconds and tps and hits you, then sort of does a aoe around breath, except for arah it almost fills the full room and bounces and the aoe circles are gigantic.

This “community that decides the rules” that is often referred to is just a handful of people that like to roleplay as politicians, and most of them don’t even do records themself.
All those rule meeting threads (it’s been 28 now i believe?) are a joke, and records have only gotten less fun to watch since DnT doesn’t handle them anymore.

If you look at ANY other game’s speedrunning rulesets, there’s just gonna be any% (you can glitch whatever you want as long as you trigger completion) and 100% (no glitches, have to play trough the entire game).
No list of 40 specific rules that exclude any type of out-of-the-box strategy, no weekly rule meeting, and NOBODY has a problem with it.

I know I can only speak for myself, but there are a lot of people that share this opinion.

Edit : I already know there are gonna be smart-kitten that will say things like “go watch unrestricted records then”, but lets be honest, there aren’t many people that give a kitten about unrestricted records

If you think about it AP is still a valuable indicator of time spent and dedication to the game.
Even if equally bad I’d still prefer the person who is more invested in the game to have along in my party primarily because it means he might be more willing to adapt and listen to advice ( since GW2 means a whole lot to him).

You are entitled to have your own opinion, and I’m not gonna say you are wrong.
If you want to make a LFG with AP requirements, that’s fine, I’m just not gonna join them.
The problem is that 90% of the time people ask for “experienced” people, and then judge/kick someone that joins based on their AP, while they haven’t even seen that player perform yet.

On that note, yesterday I opened an LFG for “50, No underwater Mossman. No carry. No free ride”. The group was filled almost instantly. Under suspicion of some quick-fingered merge, I asked if any of the new comers actually read the LFG and what it was about. A guy answered me with: “Shut the f—- up, b—— and get on to it (the wisp)”. Without saying a thing, my friend and I entered our emergency protocol and abandoned the instance at once. The rude guy didn’t forget to chase after his victim (see pic below), only to meet with total annihilation. Body was burnt and ash scattered. So long.

Its not about DPS, its about the lack of team buffs necro provides.
Warrior increased the party wide DPS by 23% with his banners, and can easily stack 25 might.

I’m also kinda curious how you achieve higher DPS than warrior on necro after patch, can you provide me with video proof?
