Since its now impossible for DH to loose, I would like to thank all the commanders and players who made this upset possible. Everyone did some really great work these past few weeks, and hopefully tonight we will get a good reward for our efforts.

Yes, upset. SF beat us week 1 of leagues and from that point on was the favorite for second (and some people thought first). 90% of people, when asked, said SF would take 2nd (again, after leagues began). I refer you to the bronze league thread where nearly every prediction places Dh behind SF.

So yes, it was an upset. Also, rankings meant nothing kitten had placed higher against FC then Dh did pre-season. Even pre season it’s arguable that SF was the favorite for 2nd, once season started it’s not even debatable.

No I meant in that particular instance. SF had placed higher than Dh against FC and so were favorites over Dh, thereby making it so rankings were not considered accurate even at that time.

Face it man, you guys got upset. Don’t fight it. Your server may not have felt like you’d win, but everyone else (cept for some HoD folks) did.

Are you reading my posts? I gave you facts to back up my assertion. SF placed higher against FC than Dh and so was viewed as a favorite over Dh. You’re ignoring my points, repeatedly, it’s dishonest.

Cheap 1 liners do not make a rebuttal. Try again.

To repeat:

-SF placed higher than SF against FC pre season.
-SF beat Dh week 1.
-SF beat servers like FC far more than Dh did, and thus was viewed as stronger.
-SF had been higher ranked than Dh until 2 consecutive losses to HoD.
-SF was repeatedly predicted by many people in bronze league thread to be number 2 over Dh.

Those are the “facts” that you’re ignoring to preserve your world view. I suggest you shape up and stop letting wishful thinking decide your opinion. SF was the favorite, Dh was the underdog.

Mesmer Sig is 1k heal over 3 seconds/ active resets phantasm skills- Crazy

Engie AED can heal up to 16k if you hit them below 1% hp- crazy especially for settlers engie with AR.

Guardians new heal will be broken in WvW zerg fights/ easy to dodge in spvp

Elementalist- meh

Based on what they shown Ranger heal seems weak but then again dude wasnt even using spirit traits

Warrior Defiant stance absorbs all incoming damage/conditions for 3 seconds and heals.

Necros new heal seems cool for team fights

Thief heal is bad.

It remains to be seen how they actually perform in game, there is some risk with some of the heals.

Thats all i really have to say, 3x rank for solo Q and Team Arena 5x so some of us can get to those ranks we have been working on faster

This has to be a joke. You’re giving warrior MORE invulnerability? You’re giving eles a 3rd arcane damage skill to add to their all in burst? You’re giving phantasm condi bunkers a passive heal?

Healing Signet is a lot harder to deal with. It literally never stops. Defiant Stance is going to be a really short window where you do negative damage to the Warrior, cool fact, that allows you to stop dealing damage and stunt his healing. I doubt it’ll get much play over the OP healing signet that’s too good to activate in any circumstance.

I actually like Defiant Stance. Invulns on a warrior are out of control b/c they are too strong when combined with OP HS. This is more like a better version of shelter perhaps (if it negates all damage), making bunker warrior more viable. The skill also has counter-play.

I am concerned about more instant damage on eles (plus an instant heal, usuable while cc’d). There is a lot of play in the design, but the other arcanes need to be changed to reduce the instant damage.

Most of the others seem o.k., but I really think you could make an unkillable engie with A.E.D + Elixir R + Inertial converter (trait) + automated response. I think a build abusing these things will see a great deal of QQ in the coming months, as engies specialize in decaps, can have great mobility, and now survive forever. Sound familiar?(looking at you cantrip ele).

I don’t think A.E.D will be the best thing to combine with AR. I got a hefty cooldown and will heal you up above the condilimit, making you a target for condis again. And for elixir R it won’t be as abuseable with dual R ressing, you will not have the the chance to abuse both heal and toolbelt recharge as both are short duration based (to abuse them with recharge traits you have to use them before getting under 25%. Better would be using one of them and save a slot.

But all in all i wouldn’t call this a bunker heal as much as a hit and run heal. Hps, condiremoval and general support is still superior in the other heals, even if it heals you to full.

But ill admit the thought have crossed my mind.

Well when fighitng condition builds you can hover just under 25% for as long as possible and not worry about dying by some random burst and get healed, repeat.

Lol Mesmer got a heal signet. Ranger one could be cool if it scales with traits (seems to). Warrior one sounds crazy, Engie sounds interesting, the rest suck. Engie heal (the invulnerability on the heal at 1%) + AR

So you guys showed up in normal force then? IDK, it seemed to me you guys had 3 queues by the fight you were putting up, but I could have been mistaken. The point is that you guys showed up for reset night. Perhaps you were diminished somewhat, granted, but I think it’s fair to say on that night at least we fought an SF that showed up and we won. That’s my only point, and it’s not to brag but instead to counter the excuses (or rationalizations as you call them). If you guys showed up with 2 queues (as is normal for you, apparently), then we fought the normal SF (even if slightly diminished).

Everyone outside of SF thinks they know what is going on at SF and has an opinion on it. That description sums up this and the last thread,

After all these weeks SF trolled itself into a corner haha! The smack talk was good up until their coverage gap became their go to excuse. AR didn’t lose Garrison for 3 weeks, we played ET twice and never lost it to them. DH even had a hard time taking keeps from us. AR didn’t lose our entire ptt to the Brahzilians, yea we lost eternal but we kept them out of our bl. We have started doing a server “night cap” to help our skeleton crew and made it known to our server when we are weakest. Now we are 600 points ahead of GoM. If they lose to us they will place under FC. It’s called playing for something. AR plays for improvement. Just like DH is playing to beat you. I know it isn’t about ptt but ptt is what makes a community stronger. A nasty little trick Anet did but it is worth it.

There are trolls but trying to recruit our players when we played was just bad form.

The lack of people at reset should have told you everything you needed to know. The SF you are playing right now is not the same server who cared about playing HoD.

I was hoping they would have more changes coming soon instead of the long term, I feel like we have been waiting long enough already.

I don’t know how I feel about them taking out glory and letting people with a ton of gold buy everything, but I do appreciate getting gold from matches and buying levels.

Taking out ranks…. Idk I guess we will see how that goes but none of the stuff in the blogpost really makes me want to keep playing.

Based on what I saw the last two days in WvW nobody is really trying, a lot of people aren’t playing or are burnt out. The kittenery I saw in EB is disgusting

This would dumb down pvp more than enemies showing on maps already have. If you are good at the game and experienced with playing/facing most of the classes you shouldn’t need for the game to tell you when they are out of dodges.

Nah I made it to rank 7 on Friday and haven’t played since and I have dropped some ranks. It’s just less people making it that high up so there is a lot less movement in the top 25

I didn’t read your response but all you can really do is wait and see if they carry out their promises or not. Complaining and such on the forums will really get you nowhere, I think we all know that.

Solo Q and Team Arena does have slightly different metas but a spirit ranger is still pretty good choice in Yolo Q.

I would like to see ET win, me and Devon bet big money on you guys, dont let us down now.
