Lol some people are really trying to make an ally out of DR while at the same time critciszing them.

People in this video game are free to play the way they want and attack who they want. If DR wants to just fight FC they are free to do so, if they want to just fight SF they are free to do so. If they want to attack both at different times like they have been doing they are free to do so. I doubt most of the commanders from DR even read this subforum so complaining about how they play the game is pointless.

Well until they completely separate PVE and PVP skills like they did in GW1 this will keep happening. They are mostly balancing for PVP these days at the expense of the 80% of the other content in the game. But they already said they wont separate it because its too much to keep up with sooo…

If anyone has any GvG or Fight Club info they would like to be known ill put it as the answer. That said i am exiting this sad thread.

If your only doing Pve ranger might be fine if you think you will like it, otherwise dont roll one. My first level 80 was my ranger and i don tplay him because the class is in a sad state.

Warrior/Ele might be a fun enough change for oyu.

Many guilds that cant or do not want to be bought, will look for the following.

Coverage: When good fights are available and the population at hours

Community: How does the community support guilds, commanders, players in general. Dont take this as a oh hey if we buy people things they will like us, its a do you all offer CONSTRUCTIVE, NON-DEMEANING feedback to one another, as well as no inter-guild rivalries over idiotic things that create toxic server communities.

Work: Are they having to work for WvW when they are in it, many guilds look to have a good time and fun while fighting. If they’re made to work by being yanked all over simply by commanders or people being there longer asking them to come every which way to help they will get tired, burnt out and leave.

This thread is open to any and everyone with an opinion on the topic, so of course everyone wont agree or necessarily share the same opinion.

I simply want to know what you look for in a recruitment thread in the WvW subforums.

Reason im asking is that I have a thread in that forum and Im interested in whats the most effective way to catch peoples attention (Besides being a T1 server). When I went to created the thread for my server I of course went to see how things were done in that subforum first. Most of the posts were kinda boring or pleas for help so I decided i would go down a different path.

I made my thread fun and (hopefully) slightly funny, I didnt want to come of as too serious in the post. I also created two recruitment images to hopefully set it apart even further. The thing is im not completely sure if people like that type of post, hence why i made this thread.

So what do you look for, does a recruitment post have much impact on which server you chose?

Even if you have never really thought about switching servers or your not interested in doing so you opinion will still be valued.

I gave up on my thief in September after playing it for a year. Even if i didnt do it then these dec 10th changes would have made me.

Nah they should get rollerskates and nitro. Also increased up times for their projectile shield and increased range on their attacks

So far, the thread is about how people keep using the cheap “mesmer-on-gate” tactics and about how people want SF out of the thread (I don’t even know the reason, none have said nothing wrong, just that they are rooting for ET).

In other words… This gonna be a boring thread, if that’s all we can muster from the reset night.

SF posters got the last matchup thread locked. Mods finally got sick of deleting posts. Considering it was the worst matchup thread I’ve seen in the last 3 months, it probably was a good thing.

My general feeling for reset weekend is that GoM is going to get a point lead on Kaineng the true test on where the matchup will go will be sunday late night and Monday.

I spent reset bashing my head (and dying repeatedly) against larger numbers on foreign BL’s, our one capture of hills on GoM BL was stifled by an immediate counter attack with us unable to get any supply for defensive siege because ET just capped the SE camp. Overall though there was several epic moments on reset and was quite fun overall even if we didn’t make much headway.

Yes of course it was only us, because that makes sense.

The Queue system seems completely broken. We were getting queue timers to enter our home BL. When we finally get it in, we had 30-40 total at best, while SF had TWO TO THREE zerg groups at 20-30+…
Every single BL we went to, SF had 2-3x our #s.
If there’s a queue, aren’t the teams suppose to be even?? Sure as hell wasn’t the case all night.
It is getting tiring being matched up against servers that have 2-3x our wvw population on every BL.
I’m seriously considering server hopping or just switching to dungeons and spvp

apparently there is a queue bug on the green Bls that only lets 40 ppl in, idk if that applies to you.

I see them all since im the one playing with them, everyone got an increase in WvW attendance thanks to the LS wvw achivies, look at GoM. But our WvW pop has been pretty consistent these past few weeks. I wont apologize for new blood being in WvW.

Why should a server in Bronze automatically get worse reward than people in Gold just because they didn’t manage to get high enough rank to be put in Gold or Silver?

Why should you get better rewards in Bronze than other servers who put in a more consistent effort over many months to end up in a higher rank?

Until there is a more up to date response from ANET regarding this, the disparity will exist and perhaps after. Which ever way you look at it, there’s probably going to be some very annoyed people and to quote a commander from Mag

“I put in a huge effort over the past two weeks, I want a return on my investment!”.

Those sentiments will be shared by many.

You really need to get out of the self entitled bubble you are living in. The leagues arent one big tournament, if it was then your issue of a lower rank server getting better rewards would be a real issue, but its not. As you should know its broken up into three seperate leagues, so the prie for coming in first in bronze has nothing to do with the prize for coming in 6th in gold.

If you were so concerned with the rewards you had plenty of time to transfer like everyone said.

I dont like half of the thief changes but luckily i stopped playing him in september. The changes to thieves kind of ruin evasion and stealth builds on a class that is already lacking build diversity and survivability. The thief class is already at a low point.

Warrior hammer changes were probably needed, although i dont agree with nerfing the direct damage of the hammer skills. The changes to the trait lines probably had to happen like i said, it and maybe even reducing earthshaking dmg, but dont reduce the damage of #4. The hammer is already slow.

Also will you guys please test removing the root of the second GS warrior skill? It makes it kind of hard to hit anything with half a brain in wvw and mobs in dungeons can simiply move out of range easily.

Wish Rangers got even more changes but the ones they got are cool. Hopefully you can increase the base damage of greatsword autoattack or skills in general.

Also Ranger pets still need hp increase in wvw and the auto for sword needs to be looked at. Power builds still arent very viable in pvp on rangers as they are on other classes. Also whats your stance on the shortbow getting it ranged reverted back to 1200?

If you read that collaborative thread, you will realize that we need some serious transfers. Hate to break it to you, but they are dead silent and only the players are “discussing” anything, this is most likely PR to pretend they care at this point.

Here is my prediction for how the rankings will shake out, along with the week by week, match by match analysis of how I got there. It’s a tough call on who will take 1st between DH and FC this week so I basically assumed FC wins this one and DH wins the next time the two meet. I’m on Darkhaven, so I was trying to stay objective.

ET will end up being ranked higher than Kain (personal opinion after three weeks of fighting Kain and then ET just before and during leagues). ET seems to have a larger playerbase and coordination.

Surprised to see Eredon Terrace so low, last time we fought them they were much stronger us. I would have had them in the running for top 3.

I not really sure… Our off-peak ours are the major reason we’re not beating DR right now (and couldn’t beat DH). If we can’t beat Kain on our prime time, I doubt we’ll do so on other times.

However, we had a larger force on our last matchups (SF and HoD). So who knows…

They have decent NA zergs, with typically more coverage NA early morning/day than most bronze league servers.

ET could beat them easily, but you would have to work at your off-peak coverage times.
