here is a tip:

If you finish your personal story, you should have enough letter’s of commendation that can be used to finance-out a personal guilds bak space (50 slots at least). Create a guild, dump the letters, research architecture + the bank slot and enjoy. Thats what I did. Also, if you feel like getting to 100 bank slots, you can actually buy more letters. I use it to store my crafting components, etc. stuff I bought as an investment and dont feel the rush to carry them on my chars. It will put your own inventory to an easy.

EDIT: it costs exactly 1 silver piece to get this stuff. (guild creation). Sounds like a good proposition to your issue.

Literally the only thing that bothers me is the loot. I usually do not get anything worth it considering the effort put. It’s kind of terrible if you think about it, similarities to early D3. I usually find myselkittennowledging the fact that if I want something, I have to grind gold and than buy it. And yes! If I do not enjoy a specific content piece I do not play it, but it does not mean I am not expecting good loot that lets me pimp out my character. (yaaay for citadel of flame armor skin 4ever because nothing different – esthetically pleasing can be even theorically acquired via a non-grindy way…ughhh)

First of all, congrats to your drop rate.
If you want to know what are the odds of dropping them, here you go: I play this game for exactly 6 months. I have amassed 2 full claim tickets and 7 scraps (I do not farm he keys, neither actively purchase them.) I do not reccomend purchasing them as the drop rates seem abyssmal. If you want a skin, you are better of buying it out of the TP.

What exactly do you want to switch out zerker for OP? It is a ridiculous nerf that I up to this point do not understand. Zerker will be still the only viable option for PvE however you will experience a 10% time increase in dungeon clears. What do you want to run, cleric’s lol? Celestial?

Jumping puzzle adventures of my charr. 1.) start the jump 2.) jump again 3.) fail.

Playing for like 7 months but I spent 10 eur total of real money. This game simply doesnt offer anyhting worth purchasing and the things that are appealing are quire overpriced. I honestly think that 1k gems for a pickaxe is just awful lot considering its just convenience, nothing spectacular. I remember spending quite more money and on a regular basis on league of legens, while I played it, but this gem store never managed to make me do it.

1.) Cultural armor is actually very expensive as it is only of rare (yellow) quality. Most of the time, people just buy it for the looks and use a crystal (rare drop from chest, or bought with gems) to immediately transmute it with a higher level amor of the desired stats. It will make you broke

- best way to make money is to speculate with items on the TP, not spending your gold on mini naked kasmeer minis and item flipping. Also, a dungeon run will net u 1gold immediately upon completion.

2.) Citadel of Flame part one and two are deemed to be the easiest ones I think. Part one specifically. I would honestly think you are not going to fail if you whop into fractals and see how that works out for you as the rewards are quite good.

3.) I use Axe/Mace mainhand and the second main set-up for max. DPS is greatsword (do not mind the listed order). With a build of 30/25/0/0/15 (both weapons)

4.) I cant stress out how important this is: DO NOT SPENT rampant amounts of karma. After the nerf, its very hard to obtain it / subjective to my playstyle, objections not taken into account. IF you decide to go for a Legendary you will need approx. 1Mil. Karma. Keep this in mind before putting down 68k for an armor piece.

The most simple way which works on all classes.
a.) 1-5 weapon skills
b.) SHIFT+1-5 utilities
c) Q, E, R – class mechanics (standard binding of F1,… is ridiculously out of reach)
d.) F – interact
e.) heal skill comes down to your preference than. I use 6

This is probably the worst suggestion that is supposed to fix the kick abuse system I have read, and I am not even exaggerating.

1.) Your system punishes people who kick someone after opening the instance / are in the middle of a dungeon. You said this system is “fixed” by “allowing” people to be kicked within the couple of minutes before the dungeon starts, making specific requirements such as lvl 80 zerker to be possible.

- What if the party is half-way done, someone leaves, LFG is updated and instead a lvl 80 zerker a lvl 20 vitality-toughness-staff-guardian joins. According to your system, I would be screwed as kicking him is dishonorable.

2.) What if we close to the end boss and we are forced to kick someone for being compeltely clueless, blocking our progress?

- I was pugging CoF part 1 and we made it to the door mechanism. I went gate and waited for the team to get into position. Guess what? This guy did not entered the circle in order to open the gate controller and was randomply killing endless mobs. I said that he needs to get in…just like the other people and he did not responded. After a while of not listening I got killed at gate. I said we need to restart. Team withdrew and he….still kept killing mobs in the area preventing me from WP’ting out. After we numerously asked him to stop and come back…asked whether he speaks english…we eventually got enough and kicked him. Oh…I guess I deserve my “dishonor point”.

did a Fractal for the first time yesterday and after doing that / reading the wiki I found a couple things I do not understand / need help.

1.) I did 2 fractals with the group and than had to leave due to time reasons, does this mean that the next time I go for a FOTM run I have to run 2 more fractals to get into the “boss fractal” of my current tier, or do I actually need to make the full run of 4 fractals with the last being the boss.

2.) As mentioned above, as I will progress to higher difficulties, I can also imagine that the difficulty of a “full run” will be more and more time consuming. Should I prep. myself for lengthy and time-heavy investments?

3.) Similar, does the daily fractal chest drop after succesfully completing 4 fracs in one day? (I guess yes, but oh well…)

4.) any tips appreciated, like “do not sell +1 agony infusions” or whatever

PS: should anyone be interested, we rolled swamp first followed by cliffside. All were newbs like me with no proper exp beforehand. We did well. I did not felt doing anything forced and we figuered out the mechs at a decent rate. + no wipes.

Pros:
I enjoy the changes to sigil’s and runes, I think this is what will make the difference for a lot people whether to start using 2H weaponry as opposed to 1h. My warrior is preparing to swtich Axe/Mace for Greatsword for good now

General:
On the other hand, rest of the patch notes are frustrating and do not achieve anything. I will say what has been said a million times…please stop balancing out solely on PvP. This is a laughable idea considering the splinter of the player base actually caring for this game mode. None of these changes achieve ANYTHING in PvE and blatantly obvious issues like using of conditions in dungeon being bad remains being bad. PLEASE, either make an official statement of “we do not aim for balancing out PvE” or just use common sense. Whats the point of establishing balance in a game mode adored by an overwhelming minority, while leaving the majority of players bitter.

Cons:
The most “wtf” moment was the necromancer dhuumfire resolution which is probably the most awkward thing I seen in terms of patch notes. I do not even play necro outside of PvP and jumping puzzle opening, but this trait is so…soooo badly positioned with this patch. Who on earth will go for death shroud just to be able to deal an extra tic of fire damage. This condition trait should be not even placed in a power tree…just lower its effectiveness and place it in a relevant trait so that players can use it naturally.

I dont know what class you play but the “trick” I wished to learn upfront was the cheesy tactic to use the skill warband support which summons a couple of soldiers. Thankfully, the champs are stupid enough to focus them while you channel the skill. (Definetely worked on the Malchor’s leap skill that was guarded by the champion risen knight)

I’m an Elementalist – so I am a lot more squishy…

The Malchor’s skill point was easy enough because Risen Knights can be kited quite easily and then a stability skill manages the rest.

Did you tried the Ask legion Spy kit? 28 karma for a 60 sec. camouflage that should work when trying to commune with a skill point challenge. Sold by Kyra Sharptracker / renowned heart at Plains of Ashford.

I will try it now, but the point of my post isn’t so much that there is no way around it – but rather than this type of content needs a rethink in the future.

A lot of things in this game seemingly do not make sense in terms of execution, rewards. I believe the design purposely wants you to push to one or another direction trying new things / binding you to the game on several levels.

1.) monthly reward – PvP gear. Purpose? So you can go ahead and PvP although you got the reward from almost strickt PvE experience
2.) Map completion – WvW based objectives. Lol, why? So you start WvW-ing
3.) Contested skill points – go figure, are you in a guild…well, maybe its time to join one

I know where are you coming OP. I am willing to sac some time in order to prepare for an event, but recent experience taught me that coming to Lornar’s Pass 30min prior to the event start simply is not enough. I have tried and faield this event way to many times. Not because I would be incopetent in the champ slaying phase, but because we simply dont have enough people on all lanes. I refuse to aknowledge the requirement to be 1h before event start to be a real thing. It’s just bad design, but right of the bat I can ask…why does the event NOT scale with player density…..???

On a different note, would it be wise to jump on the dyes now and sell for profit later? (baring in mind the risk of re-release). Molten dye buy order for 31 seems fine.

I am incredibly confused. The only think that changes by adding ferocity is that it will take 10% more time clearing a dungeon. I do not see a single reason why would anyone want switch to a different set up than “zerk warrior” when it still does the job in the most optimal way. Second of all, are we really talking about making more build diversity? For how long have been players asking to make conditions actually useful in PvE, making changes to max stacks, the way the stack deal with PvE, etc. Instead… we receive a patch that is supposed to increase build diversity by actually doing nothing more than nerfing a stat……

Also:
- still no precursor crafting
- nerfs to classes still based on a game mode that the vast majority of players completely ignore

No this does not work. It’s simple too exploitable. Imagine: you run CoF and come to a passage where mobs spawn indefinetely. it does not even need to be a defend event such as protecting Magg until he blasts the door to the final encouter in P2, no. You can easy take P1 where one guy goes to the gatekeeper mechanism and rest of party fights of mobs and until they gate is open. This would lead every party to reset the event for hours and hours knowing they can juice tons of gold out of the system.

Also, rewards and their distribution is notoriously bad in the game. Players get rewarded for farming champs, skipping dungeon parts and playing the TP. Once you realize that there is no difference between a dungeon reward of TA aether path and COF p1 you understand there is something wrong….

Not for long. From 21. of Jan, a new release is coming and wintersday and I assume halloween skins are going off the table. So today is the last chance to obtain the weapon via tix.

Also, checked the demand now and it is back to normal. → 454. I come to think that the skin could possibly climb more, 150g is realistic.

Got 1x from an BL ticket and 1x more for 55g. Now, the demand seems to seriously exploded…. I am not surprised by the fact that there is demand, but the numbers jumped from 400 demand to 276927 literally in days… how? Is this artificial / speculative or for real. Second of all, what is a good target price for the skin in the future.

You should always preview JP videos on youtube before attempting to do them. Some puzzles are very hard and others are impossible to complete without a guide.

Example: trying to collect all orbs in the Scavengers causeway puzzle while one of the orbs is actually invisible/bugged? and you never see it even while actually the interact-collect option of “F” key appears is just lol.

Well, I am the same boat as many people here. Started to buy silver, gold, gems, orbs in anticipation of crafting a couple weeks ago. haven’t gotten all that much ore to be honest, but I made sure I have a full stack of the ruby, sapphire, emerald, etc. crystals and at least 2-3 stacks of the rare orb’s. Cant say I invested as much as I could but a.) I dont want to go full balls into a single speculation b.) I am still learning to play the TP and I am quite poor. (approx. 60g banked, 30g on flipping opportunities, and like 300g in investments if I sell now.)….would love to have more :/

I was looking to find a name where I could avoid using a surname altogether and get the feel of a legend. There is also not that many players which use the prepositions such as “of the” or “the” in their name, so it feels unique as well. It is valid. If they weren’t hard to get they’d just call them “Ordinaries” instead of “Legendaries” because every single player would have them… just like the no level white weapons every character starts out with.

I think what the OP wants to say is that it is progressively harder to obtain a precursor as time passes by. Example: were farming methods 6 months ago different than they are now? No. This concludes following:

- you spent roughly the same amount of time farming gold now than 6 months, 8, whatever months ago, and the gold output is the same
-price of the precursor steadily goes up as the supply cant catch up → a precursor now is worth more than back in the day, but farming yields the same results.
-for those that like FSG champ farming, the actual output of the champ boxes was changed, the silver gain out of boxes is lower than some time ago.

So as you can see, it is not a complaint of “a hard task to complete” but a “progressively harder task to complete”.

I just dislike the fact that a lot of them camps at a comfortable range and shoot the target while the rest of the party:
a.) cant properly apply boons to all
b.) melee party needs to tank more damage and thus all are more suspectible to wipes

This could obviosly apply yo any party member going ranged, but I had a lot of bad exp with them. One time, I was going for CoE and ended up in a party consisting of 2x ranger, 1x necro, 1x thieg, me warrior. At the first encounter of subject alpha I realized I am the only one going melee and instadowned. Whole party wiped, I said “guys we need to stack him up” none cared, wipe no.2. I left the party and from that point on, I carefully check the team comp I am joining.

2.) Balancing of conditions more likely than nerfing of zerker
3.) Increase of condi cap will make a TON of new builds more appealing while the nerfing of zerker on its own wont make anything more appealing, just leaving a sour taste of dislike in the mouth of x customers that are FORCED to buy into zerker because it is the only choice…. Honestly, the ticket drop rate discussision is irrelevant towards the sale offered. The sale is not worth it, save yourself gold. Example, I had a ticket and bought chiroptophobia GS when it was 1 tic, now I can sit on it and sell it in the future. Would I use the 3 ticket offer in order to buy this skin with the knowledge it was offered for 1 tic at some point, lol no! New skins will come, save your 3 ticks for 3 awesome skins that will come by, make yourself profit.

I’m not some leet kid looking for the ultimate cheat area or something ridiculous. I just like to use my “wallet” as my endgame “level meter.” Different people like to see different stats or different colors change – I like my gold number to rise.

I know that there are a lot of different ways to do this, but is there still a place where it’s viable to roam solo, pick up mats and fight for drops, and make a decent rate of gold? When I get on for an hour and I don’t want adrenaline – I just want to add a few gold to the coffers – what’s my best bet?

What kind of gold rates per hour are people getting roaming around different areas?

I am afraid its not that simple/profitable. The best materials you can reliably solo farm are ancient wood and orichalcum ore. The amount of nodes is limited and you can check the exact location at google “gw2 nodes”. Since some of the nodes are located at cursed shore, you might hit mobs for chance to drop heavy moldy bags and they might yield expensive T6 mats (random mat, rates not amazing). If you want to maximize your gold -> do some expensive high end crafting / selling (gw2 spidy gives you a hint), go to frostgorge sound and kill champs in train (beware, its a lazy, afk spamming 1, braindamaging activity that will kill your joy) but it ends up yielding rares, mats, etc. that can be sold. Than, make 2x dungeon run in CoF 1, 2. The 2 paths are easy just let yourself carried and you will the touch of it soon.

Finally, go play the TP. Purchase items which might raise in value and sell for profit. Materials, skins, you name it…. This makes without a doubt the most money.

Right ahead, should not the maximum turbo clock core exceed even the 3.4ghz stock if it works correctly? The 1.6ghz would not make any sense with the exception of proving the theory that something is amiss and the CPU does actually cut power to half.

As per temperatures, no issue – I checked multiple programs, bios, the CPU temp is like 40 degrees celzius.

although not caused by GW2, I have an issue that prevents me from properly playing the game. I got an Intel i5 3.4 ghz but amazingly, the CPU runs at half speed (literally 1596 mhz) even while under load. My compliments to the GW2 tech support that helped me identifiy the issue.

Does anyone have exp with a similar issue? How to fix this? Stuff I tried up until now:

- checked bios / driver updates
- checked power management on the desktop, made sure max performance is ticked
- went into BIOS and turned off Intel speedstep (EIST) and the Cx settings
- monitoring under load done via several programs, most notably speccy

So one month after I decided to go for twilight, I got to:
- gift of exploration
- gift of battle
- bloodstone shard
- 77 mystic clovers
- 51 obsidian shards

*need 199 o-shards in order to have the gift of mastery ready but only 80k karma :/

But to be honest, the biggest deal is the precursor that I dont have. I have been trying really hard to get my gold flowing so I can just buy it, but it is certailnly the hardest part. I do not like to sit for hours in FGS so I am trying it via tp, crafting, etc. Currently sitting at 60g bank + 200g in investments (if I would sell now), hoping to get double on the investments part.

Go full nightmate armor obtained via twilight arbor tokens. I have an Asura mesmer and I LOVE this set.

Pick two, three easy puzzles and let your alt do it. Park him in there, log off, collect the puzzle next day. You dont need to jump on daily basis, just to log in and collect, it still counts. On champ slaying, just go to frostgorge sound and you will do it fast. 60 champs required to do the achievement means you need to do 10 rounds if I dont count quaggan. Avoid doing the queensdale champ train, I honestly do not understrand why so many people waste their time there. Long spawn rates, train-breakdowns are an normal occurence.

I have banked 75g + waiting until I come from work to pick up mats / craft stuff that will take me to 105g today and an investment of 2 skins which I hope for will sell off for min. 200g each.

I give up. I tried this for 2 hours straight this evening but this is ridiculous. First of all, there is nothing you can do in order to anticipate the snowflake fall, how many times did it happen that you are in the middle of the snowflake field with no option to jump to the next? But ok…the rng is decent on this one. The fun begins once the presents come in. The only chance how to pass is, is to go fast, once the last red line spawns and not later than the blue ones are here. If they come, you just sit there waiting for a sheep to go and pop all and fail. But ok…after taking your random chances you pass to what? RANDOM windfall that literally blows you to the start of the puzzle? Anet pls… this is neither fun, nor good design, its just plain simple masochism of the highest rate.

To be honest, the only think I hope for is some serious fix of the performance and optimization of the game. This is the biggest game killer for me. To know that the in game client suggests high settings and then delivers a slideshow of fps. Quite the joke.

I wish I would remember I guy I randomly met at the Lions Arch jumping puzzle. I was not even asking for anything, but he took me for a ride and carried me through the whole puzzle (inclusive the gamma adjustments gpu settings tip at the dark room). At the end of the puzzle, I actually though he will try and recruit me (I am guildless) but nope, just a nice guy with the intention to help. Too bad I dont recall him. gg.

So, a 20 Slot Orichalcum Box is around 11g so it might be a good time to get a couple of those 20 slot boxes for 6g. If anything else, this will save me gold.

The Gift of Mastery was the first gift I got… It was the easiest to get with normal gameplay. The rest requires farming.

I have been thinking of wildstar myself. Not gonna lie looks good. But, the current business model of the game suggest approx. 40eur for the game and than 10eur per month sub. I think the best deal you can get is a 1 year sub for 120eur. I am not taking their credd system into consideration, not until the rates, grind-requirement would be revealed.

-too greedy, too much commitment, not happening for a lot people (me included).

Than for ESO, this is just as bad. Sub requirement was annouced (I do not know the numbers for this one) but the issue here is different. They are taking a game that became famous for their single player RPG aspect and doing it MMO style. To me, this just isnt an elder scrolls game.

As for GW, I do not know. I would like to see an expansion, if it doesnt happen, it wont have much to offer in the 2014. Game is solid and good, but living story is a lackluster and we do not see much else apart of it.

After I created my first ascended weapon (Zolja’s reaver) and saw what kind of pain it was, I decided to go straight for the Legendary (if it’s supposed to hurt, might as well get twilight straight ahead, right..). So, I am slowly grinding for gold and acquiring the needed stuff, got:
- enough skills to buy bloodstone shard
- gift of battle
- halfway through gift of ascalon
- 90 obsidian shards (crying whilst knowing I need 500 total)
- need 2x contested vistas in WvW to have full map

Honestly, I am even fine with grinding gold for dusk, but I am disgusted by the gift of mastery uber-grind.

Any tips on what to focus at are appreciated. I am sort of focused at getting gift of mastery since that is now a karma grind only at this point. Should I get the karma from orr events or is there anything better to go with?
