Oh, btw, no… warrior needs a trait for dodging for breaking inmob, thiefs too (and skills too) and i think every class has some sort of removing inmov…
It has been like that since day one, actually is a condition because you are ABLE to cast skills at WILL while under that state, which you can’t do while stunned, Dazed, Taunted, Feared. now you got me bro?

Hello guys, first of all, thanks for getting interested on this, now a little story about me and what i have played:
I’m a main Necromancer since beta tests, have tried with awesome results most of the necromancer builds, I really really really love the necro on his condy part because I feel I can do so much damage on so much targets (I’m pointing to you… Epidemic).
Now I have became interested on ranger and it was even my 2nd character, then I created another necro, a Guardian, a Thief, another Necro a mesmer… and yeah… you guessed it… another Necro… the thing is you got me… I love how necros does everything I have an Asura, Silvary, Human, and a Norn necro just because of the looks all of them are Reapers and all… guess what? yeah, I know… no more necro talk here…
Taking the point again, yes, I’m a little tired of the dead things, now I want to master the live and celestial realms of the world, I want to play a ranger, but there are so many questions and builds, that whenever I try to theocratic a build it gets me around 1-2 hours and then I get discouraged because so many options and cant have them “all”, First of all, I’m not interested on having Exotic armor, I have all Ranger weapons on it’s Ascended Versions and a lot of trinkets, so basically, I don’t know if I should have 3 sets of Ascended, like a berzerker/assassin, Magi and Viper. or justa Magi + cony/power set?
Oh, by the way, yeah, I know that with all those sets some could argue that crafting the Legendary armor should be a thing… no.. it isnt… Medium Legendary armor was made by a unhapy intern designer that wanted to get fired of Anet’s team or something like that, SO I would really preffer crafting 10 full ascended Medium armor than that mess. Even the WvW armor seems way more Legendary than that thing…
Ahh last but not least… future expansion, I haven’t gotten the luck to get into details or nothing about the next ranger Xpec so if by any chance you think it will be fun as kitten please leave it on the comments

Guys stop being noon and stop saying that chill damage should be nerfed… it’s less damage than 2 stacks of bleed, also if someone chilled your target first it deals 0 damage. A Grand Master trait that deals less damage than on swap sigil (geomancy) or on critical aplication (earth) is a dual shame. From devs and people that say it’s too much damage. I just use it when I need those 2 stacks of bleed. It’s not like the terror damage (back then terror damage dealt a good chunk of raw damage)
So please…. stop it
Uh, guys, Hammer 3 is alright, but it’s just a stalling tool at best. It’s a DPS loss, it’s easy to see coming, animation is very long and also doesn’t work properly on certain terrain.
Hammer 4 is cool, but I think it’s a tad too slow.
Hammer 5 is awful.Overall, it’s not a great weapon outside of CoR spam, it’s TERRIBLE at kiting, and has basically 0 tools for opening the gap.
It’s far from being the best ranged weapon.You are Revenant with 10 utility skills lol, you dont need more.
What that lol is supposed to mean? Do you even have a idea what utility and weapons skills are? Do you know that they have completely different purposes? Are you trying to tell us that we are supposed to kill ppl with utility skills? Now thats lol worthy.
Hammer was terrible outside of CoR spam and everyone knows it. And when the gap was closed rev had to fight with one weapon set as hammer unlike dh lb loses all it damage and it doesnt have anything else going for like passive knock and stab just bc dh used his auto in close range.

We are counting on you. at least explain why, why would a heal that doesnt even heal for that much gets nerf batted as that… now if you run glint+shiro.. youre completely screwed… just even if poison is not on the poor revenant on glint you dont get 1/2 of your hp back even with poor talented oponets in pvp (in pve is worse sinse mobs attack once in a year) and shiro is not a OMGWTF heal because when you use it you get less HP than a proc of regen t(-.-¨)t.
And last but not least.. 5cd on a skill? really 5cd? it doesnt even let you escape it only works for catch those pesky leapers over there. but now it doesnt help it. and dont even let me speak of the chill debuff problems…

Yep, nothing special, only a lot of noobs that dont know how to dodge and a lot that are just trying their elite specs for the first time … like that ranger with the wyvern… and of couse.. if you stay in red circles.. dude you deserve to die. btw.. i dint see him stuned even once o.o
There are a lot of good traits to chose, and you may not have room for getting malix trait line, but for a dude in power+healing power+toughness/vitality the grand master tier that gives +10% crit chance per second is absolutely good, so who says you cant go (without having herald) Ventary, Malix and Invocation/Jalis traitlines (Spec – Chose 3) and get the traits in malix that doesnt go straight forward to condition build, like the one that gives +10% crit chance per second. You wont hit like a Zerker spect but at least you wont be a kitten Soraka on the battlefield.

Who says ventary and Shiro cant work? maybe im wrong but who says i cant swap from ventary to shiro and use jade winds to stun all the foes (thats a role in support is called control), and who says i cant use imposible odds and using my staff auto attacks for generating a lot orbs (quickness + autoatacking), i was looking at the Salvation specialization/traitline, and it doesnt say ANYWHERE that when you lose your inerit healing power, so the regens you alreaddy aplied they will still tick the same heal when out of ventary, if you cant live 10 seconds without ventary, SHAME ON YOU, its not a flawed class, is a flawed player, even with cleric stats, you will stay with the weapons you have choosen and those are the ones that you mainly use, so you will be able to still use them when out of your primary legend. i dont know why a lot of people consider it as bad, i consider it good cause it gives me the posibility to add a something else for 10+ seconds to my build. as i said in the case of shiro… use imposible oods and shine :P

I got an idea of a great Embrance the Darkness: All the effects that you want it to have with a Corruption Aura, but this aura is diferen, instead of comberting the boons the foe have to its condition counterpart, it ill corrupt your boon stacks to 5/6 seconds of torment (with your torment modifiers) that means if the target have 1 stability it will combert to 2 stacks of torment. This would help with all those phalanx warriors that have permanent over 15 stacks of might and would be OP. Thats why i state that the buffs wold corrupt 1/2 stack rounded up/down like 1=1, 2=1, 3=2, 10=5. and so forth.

Revenant is hard to compare to other classes in terms of resources management, but lets chose Thief just for the sake of laziness.
Thieves have like 5 traits that adds initiative when doing x, when switching weapons, when rolling, and even a trait that gives 20% initiative bar. keep in mind that only the weapon skills have initiative consumption, but revenants have initiative consumpion of weapon skills, elite and utilities, and even upkeep skill (yes, we have more upkeep skills that energy regen, so it means we cant cast x skill in OMGWTF situations because we are alreaddy drained, yes we can switch legend but if that skill that legend we are using is the one that have the skill that would save our kitten in that dire situation?) and here is where i ask…
What does revenant has? only a 50% energy when switching legend? and then only a 5%?
why don’t we have *%energy on weapon swap?* or even a revenant specific sigil that gives us energy when swapping, or idk, a trait that gives us on crit or whatever, it just feels that the only way to get energy back (in the tide of a fight is to swap legend, and it isn’t always the best strategic int he flow and head of battle.

All this chit chat and yet no one recognizes that a team of good players can do EVERY dungeon without any armor, but a team of the “Dwayna” Players cant even imagine doing the same thing without their sacred Nomad gear.
Lets be honest and focused:
All about Nomad stats AKA almost every toughtness, Vitality and/or Healing power armor is 1. Useless. 2. Learning armor for new players 3. To min-max builds.
Why would someone use those stats? thats only for being lazy and not wanting to dodge and waiting till the other 4 players deal the damage just as most peple stay with Hodgins in the find the 5 scepters part just cause they dont know/care how to solo it (wich every class can so it unarmored so can be done in zerker gear) and a lot of other situations.
Anet made this game with the premise of getting rid of the trinity, yet they replaced it with Damage- Support duo. but please… Support does’nt mean permanet tanking or healing OMG. Support means giving boons, giving important debuffs to targets, cleansing, providing important fields acording to situation, blasting fields (Best combo finisher finisher BTW) tho enacing the whole or self survivality/cleraring time of Boss/dungeon/Challenge. Wich ALL, and i really mean.. ALL can be done with zerk stats wich im not saying every one and their mother should use but its not a bad synergy at all).
So just for the record saying PVT armor for TEQUALT is the way to go its not because Zerk is bad or something, its because 2/3 stats form zerk gear are not used VS TEQ int he zerg, so if only power is, lets get a little more pasive defences with PVT gear, Yet you can try and go Tank TEQ with your nomad gear, or go FUll Heal build and armor so you can think youre being of use in the zerg of 100+ people while you obiouly dont, and with only an ele with a waterffield can do more than you to the whole 100+ zerg (if at least 1person x team can blast it). Yet Zerk Stats are REALLY apreciated on the boats and turret defeces team.
Also another note, the dead bodies in the TEQ zerg fight arent from experieced Zerk people, they are form noob PVT, NOMAD and other stats includint the Zerk, its not about the gear, its a Learn to Play issue. Noobs are going to be NOOBS with PVT, Zerg Or Nomad gear. so even if a dead zerk does no damage. LOL an alive Cleric, NOMAD, PVT does almost the same damage :p
It seems Revenant will be getting 4 Legends. Each Traitline will be tied to a Legend.
That would be sad. Absolutely no trait customisation allowed. No room for specialisation… etc.
This means the Revenant is getting 4 Elite skills(1 per Legend), 12 Utility skills(3 per Legend) so far, and 4 Heal skills(1 per Legend).
Meanwhile, other professions have 3 Elite skills so far. According to Specialization, each profession is getting 1 additional Heal and 1 additional Elite. This sets it to 4 Elites per professions.
Yeah pretty much how I see it. Elites are more utility skills and their low coold down make them a bit imba with huge synergie with specific runes at the moment. (Just imagine Mallyx with superior runes of lyssa.)

Well, don’t remember wich path of Arah, but there is a ritual that could be made that gives the undead free will. they made it with the uddead Chicken and it was sussesfull.
From what i understood, its autoattack creates a shockwave that travels away from Revenant, increasing in damage.
That’s skill 2 on the hammer, Coalescence of Ruin. You can tell from the picture’s filename.
Similarly, Field of the Mists is shown as hammer skill 4, Temporal Rift is axe 5 and Embrace The Darkness is Mallyx’s elite skill.

In the post they say tha you wont be trowing maces, wich means yore indeed trowing Hammers as auto atack, or some sort of channel energy from hammer like mesmer wiht GS.
I agree 1000% with the OP. It’s the reason I logged into the forums today but the OP beat me to it.
My theory is they’ve settled on this level 80 number on the basis of feedback from existing players – who all would mostly have their characters at level 80 – and not on the basis of feedback from potential new customers or former players who might buy HoT. And I think it’s a big mistake.
I’ve only ever been an on-and-off player of GW2. Part of the problem for me is I’ve never been able to settle on a profession. I like the theme of some and the mechanics of others but can’t get everything in one package.
For example, I like the nature of theme of Rangers and pets are generally nice to have and spirits are cool but don’t care at all for their weapon skills. It’s just not my cup of tea. Druids are much more to my liking.
So say I’m a new player or someone who bought GW2 and no longer plays and didn’t level every profession to 80 but like the look of one of the specializations. What I’m faced is with is a barrier – having to level a profession to 80 that I don’t love and that’s a reason NOT to buy the game / expansion.
I think it’s along a similar vein to the mistake Anet made with changing the way players unlock traits. The original system, which from memory let you get your first GM trait at level 40, allowed players to get more of a proper feel for a profession by that point. Level 40 is obviously much easier to reach than 80.
For the record, I already have all but a few professions at or nearing level 80 – all the ones I care about – so none of the above was said for my own benefit. I have a lot of time to kill at the moment so when I read about HoT’s specialisations I decided to finish levelling a few professions I could never be bothered with before. But if they haven’t already I think Anet should invest a little money in focus group testing of former and potential GW2 players to get a better feel for this.
Yeah babe Druid is what is for you.. you know, cause we alreaddy got a full detailed mechanic of the druid alreaddy… Specialization is something that goes beyond to the main class. you you have to fully master what you got until you especialice in something not better.. but deeper and diferent.
All this is getting old… wait release… buy, play and if you dont like: Unistall.
Player base is as big as XXXXXXX, Anet wont matter about 2-3 Cry-baby that doesnt have an lv 80 yet even if they have the time till the release to just lv them, and change their mind.
And for new players, well kiddo, you gotta paint tha fense for yagamis then you will learn smething diferent based on what you alreaddy know.

It doesnt make any sense. Maguuma is a new land for every Tyrian characters, there in the junle we will leard things that we dint know, that land is VERY inospite, so only lv 80s can think of surviving there, specializations will only be mastered in maguuma, of course you can use it then after but you will learn it there.
Now lets talk about your points:
Point 1: Doesnt make any sense, Maguuma Jungle is an engame content, we have alreaddy enough lv 1-7x maps areaddy. If you ahve complete all the maps in your way and youre not lv 80 then look what are you doing, Maguuma is designed for explorers that have alfreaddy visited all places of of the available maps and want new challenges on the way to defeat a BIG KITTEN DRAGON, its not a minion, its not an aspect, its not a champion.. DUDE IS A DRAGON.
Point 2: few weapons? really? i know some weapon sets are better than others, but you cant kitten yourself on sticking on x to the death, every weapon set is better than X in Y situations. my mesmer is my main, on my mesmer i got X2 swords, x1 focus, X1 GS X1 Pistol and X1 Staff, i font use torches cause in pve they only brings a stealth and i got it covered by decoy, but even on some cases ive used a green torch for big skips timed with my other stealths). and if that weapon its Ascended or Legendary and youre not going to use it then just give it away to another of your characters.
Point 3 and on..: THink of this, Lore wise you got to kill Zaithan (wich is a lv 80 boss) for then going to the Jungle… Why i mention the jungle again? cause the specialzation is learn there, not cause its cool, not cause its more shiny , its cause its needed (lore wise) to survive there.Nuff Said

Even if people say is a Staff/pole or whatever, HE is wielding something that looks 2 handed, yet in the lower part it seems that he got his sword stoked, i dont know id you do recongnize it but hes wielding the fire ascalonian sword.
Dont know what that may means but, thats 1. a glitch or 2. intended.
Why don’t we have level 80 runes and sigils or “Ascended” Runes or sigils?
Because from history they would do:
1. Nerf all runes and sigils (again)
2. Make new ascended ones with same old stats +5 stas on the 5th stat (if runes) + 0 (if sigil).
3. Profit.
The game wasnt prepared to Exotic+ Stats, thats why they made the Ferosity Nerf in first place. And thats why the game isnt balanced in Attack/Defence, basically you get better results gearing with tank stats than DPS. (PVP wise)
Well the only thing that would make sense is:
As Rytlock did, you get one of your lv 80 characters (who have killed Zaithan and at least the last episode of the LS) and “Combert” to Revenant.
i find that the best power rune for us is the Strenght one.. i love that one, its a Roughtly +7% damage ALWAYS
dont even know why focus instead of dagger, youre condy damage, so vulnerability of the focus WONT increase your condy, but with agger con yca increase the bleeds + weaken the foe(s) attack, and as you sayd you dont have ra realiable way to handle condictions apart form CC, so dagger will help with that.
BTW i think this is kind of werid beacause, on a regular base spectral skills + DS usually does better with soldier stats and axe or dagger mainnhand, because even if youre in DS in your courrent build you aply conditions, only whne youre normar, in ds yo appy only strenght damage (oh.. DS 5 torment, but wi a LOOOOOOOOOONG CD), im playing a build linke this in spvp, but with axe or dagger mh and WH offhand, a can be in points for AGES or will the help comes (sometimes tanking 2-3 guys in that cases if theyre not range i sjut pop plage and blind them, then DS again then CC, staff ratation, DS again and they just get kittened, and somentines the fing help desnt come because the noobs are just fignting outside points when the enemy has papped them allready -.-) but the build works wonders too, i think ill thy this one and see how it goes XDD

My hp is only around 15.5k if I invest 30 into Honor. In PvE you really don’t need it, and in WvW you’ll get the Guard Fortitude Buff. So I don’t see a reason to stack a large amount of vit.
Come run with [HB] for a couple guild raid runs and then perhaps you will understand the need for having a crap load of vitality compared to that which you think is sufficient (15.5K)…..
I prefer to roam over zergs, however I don’t have a problem in them. I have high healing power, so I have no problem keeping my vit up. Which is better then having a very high hp pool, and little to no healing power. Also with Guard Fortitude I sit at 18k hp. So like I stated, it’s not a big deal. Here’s a pic of fully buffed in wvw.
Then i ask myself why i dont even have a legend if im playing sinse the begining .. then i see you and … you got all the kitteng legends… that sy i dont have any u.u
If toolbelt kit isnt melee… then idk wtf it is… every class would love a weapon with those skills…
There is a metal facility in TA
it says 13 seconds because it takens into accoutn the last recent stack of might. Empower is a chaneled skill that applys 2/3 (dont remember) stacks of might x second, if you take in to consideration the 3 secs of channel= 13+3=16 seconds. of the first stack, and 16/17 seconds on the last stack
weapons are too big.. daggers look like a GS… and i mean.. REALLy?
