Here we go again: Stop complaining or I’ll complaint of you complaint so you complaint while we complaint of the complaints.

I wonder why every time someone complaint about the game the topic is deleted or get an infraction but when someone complaint about the complainers and insult them or make fun of them is ok for Anet?

And why bring complaints about complaints? If you enjoy the game, play it, if not, do something else.

This part is one of the harder for newbs/noobs and this just make it worst.
As someone who hates being a elitist pig, this is getting really frustrating. I can tell them what to do and how but playing at 5-15 fps is not helping a bit and now I’m really hating playing with inexperienced players (something I used to enjoy).

-Never had culling problems in PvE, now I have it.
-Never had lag due several mobs spawning, now I have it.

Bravo Anet, bravo. I hope you are really happy with all complement you are getting from your strong fanboys base for making the game worst… err, I mean, more fun to play.

Some times take a while to get the mail. Just don’t panic and be patient. If after 24 hours you don’t get your gems then you can freak out and contact support ASAP.

I have 18 Characters… and all of then were purchased by in-game gold <-> Gem (Of course I do spend real money <->Gem to purchase other event item like Wintersday’s theme items…etc)

Anyway, I have only one (necro) and no plans to have any other soon; it took me 4 months and like 50 re-rolls to learn how to play properly (in PvE at least) and I’m still learning a lot so, I’m not really excited about having to learn another profession just yet.

Also, Detha now get bugged AFTER killing all the ghosts preventing the last boss to appear.

From 2 to 85 in about 3-4 hours, less if you already have everything you need and not need to spend time buying in the TP (and if you know what are you doing, following a messy guide will cost a lot of time).

I had this problem when I tried to access the game trough a shortcut set to auto-login (with command lines). I was logged into the game but not the TP.
So, how you access to the game? Trough the launcher? Have the options “Remember AN/Password” checked?
Anyways, try to delete your Locat.dat file.

Using the auto-attack skill seem to fix this as well. However I have not idea what cause this (jumping from a high place or simply running and press any key also trigger this bug).

If the team/designers of GW2 want to implement new content then go ahead, do it. But for the love of Grenth, don’t add more bugs, please, We already have many of them.

Heroes wouldn’t work plain and simple. Why? AI and path issues. An NPC can’t jump, that’s why pets suck in this game (they are stuck in a 2D movement).
Yes, they may try to improve the AI but that would demand a lot of work and effort and I think they can use that energy in something more useful.
And finally, Anet want us to play in group, not with lifeless NPCs. I enjoy exploring the world by myself but, having a party for dungeons is nice and fun, specially when you found nice people.

MF is broken from a team perspective. Why someone who contribute near to nothing should get best reward from a mob killed by others?
Is not your fault others don’t have MF? Then go and kill stuff yourself, is not my fault you are worthless.
However, any build is worthless in the wrong hands. I would prefer 100% of the time to play with 4 good players with MF than wasting my time with a bunch of worthless CG who spend more time in the ground that doing damage.

Anything like gw2lfg would be great. Simple and easy to use.
Anything a little more complicated would probably end in delays and bugs.

And about being able to see what build/gear someone have:
Anyone can equip a cookie cutter build with the best/desired gear but did anyone really think this is guaranty of a good player? Do you really think people can’t change his build/gear after joining a party?

Are those the persons in charge of fixing bugs or what?

I killed the SB 2 o 3 times on a day in the same server with the same character (when the kitten event is not bugged of course) and I got the chest all the times so what’s that about the chest appearing once per day?

P3 with portal? Ha! Have you tried P2? You don’t even need a portal.
And I don’t think Anet is going to fix this soon, there is a lot of glitches in all dungeons and besides, a lot of players, specially those who just want to farm as quick as possible, use this exploits to bypass the boring grind needed on dungeons so, Anet didn’t really have a motivation to fix this ASAP.

With the dynamic level adjustment I’m not sure why we have levels in first place.
Unfortunately, GW players have no vote on this so if any WoW player want Level Cap increase we are going to have Level Cap increase.

Signet of Locust was fixed long ago (not sure when) and I can confirm it’s still fixed.

Plague should apply all conditions by default, not remove your others skills (the duration and increase of attributes may be adjusted to avoid being OP).

And everyone thought the Jan 28th update would solve most of them. But don’t worry, the Feb update will bring more bugs so you don’t have to worry for those who are bugged right now

Unfortunately the phrase “We fixed one thousand five hundred and seventy five bugs” is not going to bring new player.
However “We add new content every month” is more appealing, even if all possible new players stop playing right away after encounter that everything is bugged.
That and those fanboys encouraging Anet for every single useless change like the mindless grinding or senseless storylines or those who bash every single post where someone don’t praise Anet and instead, point the problems in this game.

This happens in several places (too many so I can recall them all) and no, it’s not new. You just run and BAM! you are dead.

Probably your Gw2.dat is damaged. Try the “-repair” command.

Your character size is just reflected in the world. Hero panel, character screen or cinematic don’t reflect any change in the size scale, in fact, Norn are smaller than humans in the hero panel.

I don’t think that’s a bug, not even a exploit, just another use for a barely useful skill.

And by the way, you forgot to count loading times, lag spikes, D/C, etc. So, good luck trying that strategy.

No, it’s not allowed.
No, it’s not taking advantage, just laziness but the same can be said about gathering bots: Is not cheating if I watch the entire process.

Get an elementalist in your group. His frostbow can take down a burrow in 3 seconds with ONE single attack with skill 4, ranged attack. Most howlers also die in the process.

Burrows push players trough the doors and the floor after being destroyed.

Not big deal but with the perma-knockdown on 1 or 2 player, the lost of another one make this part really annoying.

Also, Detha still get bugged some times in the cannons.

And that’s why people hate dungeons.
Just because you want a coordinated team with good communication don’t mean other want the same or have the time to wait hours for another “pro”. Dungeons are for grinding and the faster way is go with anyone willing to grind them.
If you don’t like that, you can easily spam “Pro player LFG, only pros like myself, no noobs allowed” and done, no need to push your personal preferences into other, I’m sure you can always found people who think like you.

My laptop is below yours and I can play just fine. 30-60 fps in pve and 20-30 in large WvW battles (14-20 in massive battles).
However some people with powerful GPU/CPU has reported bad performance so it depends on your luck.

Doing five different dungeons doesn’t count as grind. Hell, doing all five paths of Arah wouldn’t even fall under the definition of grind. You can even choose which dungeons to do. No grind necessary at all.
There is no repeating necessary for completing this monthly.

I’m not saying you have to grind a dungeons for the monthly. What I mean is, dungeons are for grinding and that’s why many people hate them and avoid them (I want the exotic soldier’s gear and dungeons are the easy way to get the full set IMO but I need 3150 tears for it and that’s a lot of grind).

Additionally, your experience in dungeon is highly dependent on your luck. If you get a nice/tolerant party, you may enjoy it but, if you team up with over-ego, intolerant or elitist people, you would ended hating the dungeons even more.

No, it’s not but people complains because they get rewarded for doing something they don’t enjoy. I don’t like grinding so dungeons are everything I don’t want to do in a game, it doesn’t matter if they are really easy (I just did AC for first time ever today and I ended being really good at it).
What I don’t understand is why people get mad when people get mad or why people must reply every single complaining with a complain or start a new complain of people who complain about the monthly.
Seriously, most people don’t care if anyone is good enough to finish the monthly in 5 seconds or less, they just don’t like the monthly and all complains are addressed to Anet in hopes of a change and maybe get rewarded for doing what they really like to do.

in case that you’re using win7 or vista, you can force it to run at 640×480p at the compatibility mode options.
but as far as i know, the only way to do it is to change the screen resolution to 800×600p at your nvidia-cp or windows resolution menu (rightclick on your dekstop wallpaper) and then set it ingame to “windowed fullscreen” .

Also, don’t expect a great improvement, just 10 or 15 fps maximum if you are really lucky (I already tried and the game code don’t allow a real improvement with just changing the resolution).
By the way, I had that gpu in my old PC and I’m really surprised you can run GW2.
Definitely “particle effects” is your worst enemy (even in GW1 I used to have massive fps drops).
Also, I think the “-dx8 -noshaders” command line don’t apply to GW2:

Old problem. I had the same problem when I bought the game (and a lots of people reported the same).
I spend almost 1 day without internet once but the problem seems to fix itself (there is no solution that I know anyways).

What is doing this in the “BUGS” section?

For those with AMD Radeon try the new Catalyst 13.2 Beta 3. It’s supposedly optimized for GW2 and I have 0 issues with it (at least for now).

Do you have the last driver for your GPU?
If your driver is outdated, try installing the newest, if your driver is updated, try installing the previous version.
Also, try deleting your local Local.dat (user/name/documents/).
