So soon? Everybody say TESO is becoming a very good game (I read they’re fixing things (unlike "someone who refuse to fix things after +2 years), adding innovative mechanisms [unlike “someone” who want to add outdated content like “raids” into his game -_-] and much more.)

This is not the worst moment for them. It’s perfect for us!
If half of what I read about TESO is real, then ArenaNet is forced to do something “big” to keep afloat.
After all, TESO wasn’t a direct competitor (subscription based + bad game) but now is on the same league as GW2.

Of course is an Xpac.

I mean, double XP? 75% off? Obviously, they want people to get ready for the expansion.

And of course, isn’t going to be free. This is a B2P game, not a F2P.

lvl 80, 100% map competition (luckily, after ascended stuff become account bound).

I also deleted several (like 9 or 10 if not more, and about to delete one more) lvl 80 leveled through crafting.
Most of them with soulbound Ascalonian Catacombs armor/weapons (over 20k tears wasted) and some with soulbound ascended trinkets and soulbound unlimited gathering tools.

And, I also deleted dozens of chars (from lvl 2 to 60-70) with abyss/celestial dyes (or other expensive dyes) prior the dye changes (over 1.3k gold wasted on dyes).

• Caithe join the Nightmare Court.
• She use the egg to make a new, revamped Shadow of the dragon.
• We get a new teq/wurm-like event.
• NPCs won’t shut the kitten up
• Our character stare at the void wondering how magnets work

This problem is older than the NPE/dailies revamp.

Of course, before the Megaserver, this was a problem limited to Queensdale and very few zones with “farming trains” but now, we can see this problem everywhere, anytime.

Now most people can see how broken and bad designed the “dynamic level adjustment” and the “event scaling” really are, but again, fixing this is not worth the time/effort of the devs.

While putting the kitten thing in Orr was stupid (everything else is available on the starting zones) you can make the run (I myself almost skip this since I didn’t had Orr).

Just go to Hope Falls (the chest right on the poi, not the JP) in Malchor’s Leap. And for the rest, avoid the mobs and bring condition remover and speed boosts if you don’t have speed runes.

I also think Zojja looks cute but shouldn’t come with Mr. Sparkles and not with a generic golem?

This is the Beta version of Zhaitan’s corpse in Arah Exporable mode. He is not available ingame, but That_Shaman did datamine the model a long time ago.

Did you know? This version of Zhaitan is actually twice as big as the current one ingame. Scary.

How many Tomes of Knowledge can we get? Anyone knows?

I tried PvP when the game was young. 20 match played, 19 wins, always as top player.

Tried again a few day ago to get some tomes. Players got better so I lost a lot and still I always ended being a top player.

So no, I’m not scare of PvP. I’m kittening good at PvP. I JUST DON’T GIVE A kitten ABOUT PvP!
It’s the most boring thing I can do in any game and what you are suggesting is lame, just like PvP in general -_-

I can’t believe they manage to screw the daily system.

I won’t break my game-play just to go and watch a stupid vista.

Fractal? Silverwastes? I made a insta-lvl 80 because I grew tired or your stupid NPE and the beyond-stupid traits system, not to jump from map to map I don’t even have unlocked.

And on top of that, we can’t get rid of the on-screen text! I can ignore the dailies, ok no problem, crappy rewards are crappy rewards, but now I have:

• The Personal Story text
• The stupid dailies text I can’t remove because I can’t finish the stupid dailies
• The pvp-bullkitten text (permanent)
• The stupid season event text (permanent)
• The nearby meta-event text (permanent as long as I stay in the area)
• The nearby heart text (easily removed but easily replaced by other)
• And if I’m lucky, only one nearby event text (temporal but oh my gosh if 2 or more events are up).

Even with the toggle details option, my screen is full of unwanted text.

You keep adding bullkitten into the game because is “what we ask for”. I and many other have been asking for a option to remove that stupid text and so far, we have been ignored.

Rangers without pets is like necromancers with working minions: Is not going to happen, ever!

As a veteran who played GW1 for 8 years: HELL NO!

The salvaging highlighting is awesome.

The new item highlighting is awful.

Luckily we can turn it off. That’s how you do things, you offer options rather than pushing things down our throats

Here’s the interface for exchanging gems for gold.

Hopefully someone can explain what they feel is wrong about this, because in both cases the amount is carefully parsed to the smallest denominator that I can see.

Are you concerned that you cannot buy 512 gold, 4 silver, and 93 copper? Well, that’s true, it’s not possible. But there’s no “cash grab” that I can see, and I’m trying to understand what your concerns are.

Ejem… If I buy 800 gems (with money) and then buy a outfit, I will have 100 gems. Now, 100 gems are worthless on the gem shop. My only option is to buy gold, right?

Before, that wasn’t a problem. Before we opened the gems interchange tab and voila! We were able to get as many gold/silver/copper we could and no worthless gems left.

But guess what? Now we can’t! Now our only option is to guess how many gold we must put and then find that now we can only change 99 gems for 13 golds.

What I’m supposed to do with 1 gem???

When I bought the game 2 years ago, I had 1mbs so it took me 2 days to download the game.
Also, the % indicate the number of files, not the total size of the game. That 8% may be 100 files of 1gb each. The next 100 files may be 1mb each so you’ll have another 8% in no time.

Anyways, since the game is bigger now, it should take more than 48 hours to download ith 1mbs but obviously, you are closer now :P

Erm… not really.

In both cases, you should put the number of gems you want to trade, not guess how much gold you need to type to trade the gems you wish to exchange.

People don’t buy gems to buy 100 gold, we buy 100 gems to buy whatever amount of gold we can get. If you need 100g exactly and trade gems only to get that, you’ll have leftovers, which is pretty much the current problem.

Unless of course, you can type an arbitrary number and the game automatically change it to the maximum gold you can get.

As soon as they fix the necromancer’s minions (permanently and not for 3 days like one year ago), I’ll gladly give them all the money I can afford.
And if they ever fix the 2-years old bugs, I’ll give them more.

I deleted one or two of my infinite gathering tools ages ago because it was soulbound at the time (account bound infinite gathering tools weren’t a thing back then) and I wanted to make a new character and there was no way to transfer it. Then a couple months later they were made account bound, but you still had to use that character with the soulbound version and cash it in at an npc (and I figured that would be the case so either way I was at a loss because I had no more gems to buy another character slot on the off chance that one day they’d become account bound).

Needless to say the ticket I sent in was rejected and basically told they don’t return deleted items (well that’s funny cause others have had their items returned).

But being as this is a dusk and they’d get a lot of hassle if it wasn’t returned, I wouldn’t be surprised if you get your item back.

Double standards for some I guess.

Same here, I deleted 2 molten picks back when they were SB. And not long ago, I accidentally deleted a character with a whole set (molten, chop-it-all and consortium).

If OP get his dusk back, that would be great (I got one as a drop long ago and it was the best day ever so I can understand how he must be feeling) BUT, it would be total unfair to those people who have gotten the “sorry, don’t return deleted items” (I personally have read a lot of threads where people submit a ticket and got a “no” as answer).

Yep, the witch/hexed outfit may have this problem BUT is disguised in way better form and since you can still see your character legs, is not that annoying.

I just bought it. I’m a little sad, though my intention was to mostly just use it with my relatively new Necromancer and dye it all black, so not as much of an impact. But, it will never be white.

Guess this is another cutting corner solution to save time and money and charge the same, like the single piece outfit system and new pets that don’t swim.

I only have a single character: A female human of noble origin (necromancer). Therefore, I only use armor that fit a noble style (apprentice, witch, masquerade, cabalist, heritage and aristocrat). Some may not be very “noble”, but with the right dyes, they fit just right.
But this one was just perfect. It looks awesome, it’s kittening pretty and it works just great for a “noble” necromancer but then, they ruined it with this lazy/cheap solution

Here are a few tidbits from the team:

• A lot of newer players had trouble with the interface. That doesn’t apply to you, you’re veterans who have been around the conversion block a time or two. But newer players will benefit from the updated system.
• The goal was to make the Gem Store more like other shopping experiences, and if you think about it, there is more of that feel to it now.
• You may be surprised to know this (I know I was) but very few people bought gems at smaller denominations than the first one offered in the new system. That’s not to say they never did, nor that there wouldn’t be the desire to do so. But overall, the current options were selected based on player purchases in the past.
• The team is going to listen to your feedback and, if and when it’s practical and desirable, they can look towards adjusting the new system to better meet your needs.

So please keep your thoughts coming on the new system. Feel free to make suggestions but please, keeping them constructive would be very much appreciated.

Immediately before this patch: 10g = 70 gems.

Immediately after this patch: 10g = 57 gems (going off the 400 gem exchange rate).

They tampered with prices to make gems more expensive at exactly the same time as they removed the price history and made 400 gems the lowest increment you can buy in. Did anyone else see this? No other holiday event has had that big a fluctuation before.

I first thought it was because people rushed to exchange gold for gems to buy the new outfit but still… something ain’t right.

Though I stopped having FPS issues like 3 days after the last featured pack, the game definitely runs smoothly.

Sigh… I didn’t expect ArenaNet to release the full “necro/bone” gathering tools this soon (I know Halloween is coming but still).

Without money and without gold, I will just have to wait till the next time, though, the animations is not really that good and after accidentally deleting a full set of unlimited tools, I don’t really think I should buy another one :/

It is a rather large leap from introducing raids to focus on raids though.

The game does have Dungeons. Does it focus on dungeons?
The game does have WvW. Does it focus on WvW?

So you will simply leave the game if they add something that you can’t do, even if it will not really effect your ability to play the rest of the game in any way or form?

Dungeons sucks, that’s why people only do those that are easy/fast to farm. And WvW is the same bored map repeated 3 times plus one map with more of the same.

If after 2 years waiting for them to fix the kitten bugs and make a proper profession balance, they will instead going to waste time and resources in another “nobody want to do unless it can be exploited in some kind of easy yet profitable farm” then, I have no business in this game anymore.

Because the last game to focus on raids is doing great… oh wait!

Well at least the big guilds are going strong… oh wait!

Anyhow, if they introduce raids I will leave this game. I can’t event do teq or the wurm because people are beyond stupid so more “sorry, you can do this unless you find 100 players with an IQ above 0” is a total nope for me.

I have suspected the new TP is the culprit of the recent FPS drop.

Few days ago, I was selling all my mats. Since I had quite a few, it took several minutes (with the TP open) and my CPU started to burn (+90°C).

I have a switchable card (a power-saving, integrated GPU and a high-performance, discrete GPU) and I was using the integrated graphics for the Coherent UI. I switched to the other card and the temp has not raised too much (still, it raise more than before).

As additional note, Chrome is the only program that raised my CPU heat (again, barely fixed using the discrete GPU).

A bug “re-introduced” on the last feature pack. I suppose not many have complained.
