More awesome finishers (i.e. ones that have the animation synced with the end of the stomp animation (like the spectre or bom), not ones that take 5 seconds after the stomp to “ramp-up” (like the laser)).

If SBI make it into gold league, they will implode as a server in a manner of weeks.

If they can’t break away from Mag this week even though they have a not-insignificant coverage advantage they will get spawnlocked by TC, let alone T1. Then the mass exodus will begin.

Apparently some SBI clans are saying people are transferring off the server already because of a “difficult” match this week. Really? Transferring off because the match is TOO balanced for you?

Number of kills/effort approaches infinity with this matchup as a roamer. A few FA roaming guilds are decent but SBI has none whatsoever so anyone not in an 80 man zerg is a free bag.

It was kinda funny watching SBI sit with a 50 man zerg outside of FA spawn on SBI BL last night. I’d like to see that go over in T1 or T1.5

I’d like to start bets on when SBI implodes. I’m going with a solid 4 weeks until people realize they’re stagnant and transfer to a T1 server.

I knocked 5 of them into our guards for the kill + bags. Then 4 more mags came up 15s later and we wiped all of them.

Let’s just say that you know NERF, you know our fun and silly and non-competitive style, and you know that none of the NERF people deserved getting called kitten from some random Ark person with a cheese build just looking for duels in the match-up a few weeks back. If people want duels, a bow suffices.

I love NERF… you guys are a fun bunch of people, and I apologize if someone said something that offended you, however, you of all people know that just because a member of a guild does something that offends you, that doesn’t mean the whole guild does it!

Please use BT as a reference. I was with them for several months before they dissolved into other games. We had several trolly types within the guild – does that mean that I did it? Nope! Not at all!

Obviously 1 person represents a whole community.

That is a very impressive blob, but you’re also running in EBG. Gotta expect the pugzerg when you’re running in their homeland. Just look at the diversity of guild tags in your screenie compared to mine.

This was more in response to the people saying they weren’t mindless blobbing.

Not sure who’s claiming they don’t blob, but that’s just silly. Everybody blobs, and the higher you go the bigger the blobs get. Especially considering the recent influx of people SBI has gotten, a huge percentage of them will just mindlessly follow the hat and try to ride the coattails to victory. The problem of mindless pugs following the hat jus because it’s there is generally worse in EBG than the borderlands because if there’s only one tag up the pugs don’t know not to all stack on it.

More bags for us during primetime. I hope SBI has an unusual number of weekend trial accounts because I think of all the servers we’ve faced recently, the average skill of SBI wvw players has been the worst by a considerable margin.

Zerglings are expected to be bad, but the single and small group roaming from SBI is like 3+ sigmas below the mean bad. If you see any SBI roaming group with less than 2.5:1 of players against your own, you know you’re going to come out on top, likely without anyone in your group being downed.

Our guild roaming group of 4 people wiped 6 [bags] guys (mesmer, ele, 2 guards, necro and war) + 2 Abyss thieves + some random SBI at ruins on FA borderlands about 2 hours ago. Then they came back after respawning and wiped again in piecemail fashion.

It was funny because they thought they had a big numbers advantage and were going to easily kill us and instead wiped. It was one of the most amusing small group events I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing in 1500-some hours of gameplay. My only regret is that no one was running fraps at the time.

There were literally 0 people repping bags tonight up until about 20 minutes ago, so im 100% that didnt happen or wasnt us, but nice try brah lol. Making up stories to impress your friends makes you really cool.

For all those whining about server transfers, please spend a year toiling on a cellar server like HOD & spending hours a night fortifying half the map only to have it torn back to paper by 20 golems as soon as you finish because there’s not even enough people showing up to man your siege.

I had no idea that some matches had WvW imbalances during SEA hours!!

Please, explain in greater detail the circumstances around, and consequences from, such a rare event! We’ve experienced only the most balanced of matches on Maguuma, especially during SEA hours.

SBI is like one big refugee camp at this point. No server identity left, overpopulated, and the whole place smells like kitten.

Sounds like crud to me. I think it is more likely a bunch of folks moved there to be the top of the silver league, which would have been the case if ANET didn’t push back the start date. How much ‘not winning’ did you expect to be doing at the top of silver?

I cannot speak for everyone but we moved to SBI from darkhaven to get out of a bad situation and fight better battles. It was obvious before we moved that SBI was going to be above rank 13 before the season started. We were not really aiming for anything other than not being one of only 2 guilds leading in WvW.

Ont he flipside we had no idea how many other guilds would make the swap at the same time and how fast we would shoot up the rankings. If this match continues at this rate we have a shot at ending up in gold. If we shooting for an easy league experience we would not be going all out right now.

All I know is that I am having a blast and will keep playing all out regardless of what league we end up in.

SBI and Mag are similar in that both would be equally crushed by T1 servers in gold league.

The main, distinct difference is SBI will have a mass-exodus after the beatdown, while Mag would be too busy trolling each other in mumble to actually care.

I heard from one of the people from my hometown on SBI that SBI had lost 3(?) major guilds in July. I personally checked SBI’s server history in late August and watched the latest match-up for several days. I left my old home late on 9/1, on the last day of the long weekend, after everyone I know has moved and enjoyed the play there (or here q: ).

We have few small but tight guilds which formed by WvW regulars, and have maybe 2~3 medium guild groups which can put up some good fights and provide my small homeland siegers’ group fire support. AND… the last and the least q: , yea, DDLG Co. I seldom run with their whole group, but I do enjoy running with their members.

As far as I know, old DR people don’t do mindless zerg (just join their TS channel then you’ll see), and we do respect the other side — unless you’re zerging mindlessly and PvDoers badly with the numbers way beyond us, then call us out and tell us that we are “bad”. (In a sense, we’re really really bad! q: )

I think the people I know mostly play for fun and the challenge, so… bring it on! (I guess. XD )

It must be frustrating to have guys like Wick transfer from Dragtanic the instant it starts to sink and bandwagon onto success that older guilds from SBI helped build up. Oh well, I guess SBI likes the yo-yo effect of mass exodus followed by mass bandwagoning.

That’s why here at Maguuma, we actively discourage terribad PvD guilds like NNK from joining our server. We’d much rather have a tight-knit community of good players looking for fun fights than a watered-down, warm-body-loving, siege-amassing, bandwagoning community, like some other servers.

All I’ve seen is daily video evidence of JQ blobs of superior numbers getting wiped over and over again by maguuma players, or running to towers/siege from inferior maguuma small groups.

I wouldn’t be surprised though if its just from JQ’s inability to figure out how to screen capture that is holding them back.

I would say necro, engie, spirit ranger, guard and thief are all solid.

Honestly I don’t think war would be a good fit for you in GW2, you sorta have to be ready to face adversity with every GW2 patch.

I had a thief open a duel against my warrior with 4 consecutive HS. He dropped in about 5 seconds.

I re-matched him thinking it was a joke. He opened with 4 HS again.

I mean I really enjoy my warrior, don’t get me wrong. But I have to work about 5x harder than someone running condi engie that is spamming healing turrets or spirit ranger (lol…) to get the same mileage for my team.

So Thief / Engineer it is? Is warrior just that bad? ;(

It got recent buffs but it’s still getting rocked from all the generally-skilless AOE condition-spamming builds that are running rampant in pvp right now.

I’d steer away from stacking condi duration in pvp. There’s so much condi clear around and war can really only stack bleeds, burning and torment, so your whole stack of condis will be routinely cleansed when fighting. Condi duration will really only help with burning and possibly sometimes with torment, but most of your damage when fighting will come from bleeds. In short, your main-damaging condis will be cleansed well before you gain any benefit from the +condi duration.

It’s much better for war to stack condi damage and/or might.
