Because both Necro and Warrior have much worse defensive/restorative capabilities than Ele and Guardian.
Ahahahahah…warrior having less than ele…comedy gold, bro.
Anyway…they need to remove them all, or re-release ALL cultural armour in the gem store or wherever.
Race and culture are most definitely not the same thing. That dictionary is just plain wrong.
I can care less of quaggans.
I mean i know some people like them and it is cool.
But to us the people that like dark skins or more serious looking, can anet give us a second option plz!!!!!!!!!!!!
That means you care.
Badly.
No. You cannot keep your gemstore human tier 3 armour, because that would ruin the whole point of the whole rollback.
You would need to provide incentives for people to have children.
Many of us find the concept of cultural armor ridiculous. Many of us prefer choice and choice is extremely limited in game. Especially when the art department has a very quirky sense of style.
For those whom already own the T3, they bought it because they liked it. All that I see in these complaints are spoiled individuals wanting to deny others. It’s as simple as that. You have and you don’t want anyone else to have it too. There’s words for people like that….
So where is the Norm tier 3 heavy for everyone? The charr heavy? The Asura light? Oh right, you are just being ridiculously selfish.
Personally, I didn’t mind the flamekissed skin. My sister is actually really disappointed that it got taken out, she was planning on getting it at the end of the week. :\ Sure, so what if it was a reskinned and updated cultural armour? Nobody was twisting any arms to force people to buy it – if you liked it, you could get it. If you didn’t? Don’t buy it.
Seriously, I think some people have an overdeveloped sense of entitlement. The light (and the heavy, actually) were visually stunning, I really liked them. I wasn’t going to get them, since they didn’t suit my ‘theme’, but my sister was all over the light armour, and looking forward to picking it up as somewhat of a Christmas gift for herself. Ah well.
Your post failed the moment you mentioned ‘entitlement’. It has become a buzzword for the ignorant.
They removed it because their trial at getting quick bucks from cultural armour blew up in their faces.

Hey, everyone. We’ve been reading all your feedback about the Flamekissed Armor Skin that was released into the Gem Store yesterday.
Although the Flamekissed Armor uses the same mesh as the Tier 3 Human Cultural Armor, it was not our intention to create an armor skin that so closely matched the existing Tier 3 Human Cultural armor set. The intention was to use the mesh as a basis for creating an armor set that stands apart and is distinct in appearance. However, after reading your feedback, we agree that the Flamekissed armor is not visually distinct enough from Human Cultural Tier 3 armor. We will do a few things to address this issue.
- We will temporarily remove Flamekissed Armor Skin from the Gem Store.
- Players who have purchased Flamekissed Armor Skin will keep the skin.
- We will make new art for the Flamekissed Armor Skin that achieves our goal of making a visually distinct and attractive armor set and does not closely resemble the Human Tier 3 Cultural armor.
- Once this new artwork is completed, we will then update the Flamekissed Armor Skin so that all existing sets that players have purchased get the new art. We will also offer the Flamekissed Armor Skin for sale again at that time.
- When we update the Flamekissed Armor Skins with the new artwork, any player that has already purchased the set and who does not like the new, updated look, can get a full refund by contacting Customer Support.
Note that there is no ETA on when this change will happen. We need to work with the Character Art Team to determine when we can have a new armor skin ready, and this could take some time.
Thank you everyone for providing your feedback. We appreciate that you took the time to let us know how you feel about the new armor set.
I’m very disappointed that this is the way that was chosen to handle this situation despite many alternatives that take a little more effort and do not involve taking the new Flamekissed skin away from players who wished to have it, have already purchased it, and are very pleased with it.
You do not seem to realise that any solution HAS TO involve that.

I’m sorry but I gotta call you out on this bit. There is NO way possible this was merely non-intention. It was the EXACT same skin with fire added. The same coding was used with some additions. Copy/Paste+fire
My thoughts exactly. They did not even try to alter it, and their excuse rings hollow.
The runes suck, though, thanks to the 30 second cooldown. No one is going to use them.
Engineers were broken with Perplexity runes, and that did not change fast.
sylvari boobs!!! revolutionary idea anet
What?
Oh! I know what Anet is doing! They’re making Scarlet so detestable, so when the time for the grand finale comes along, everyone will be jumping at the chance to annihilate her!
Brilliant Anet! Sheer brilliance!
It will be a gemstore purchase.
What a monumental failure by Anet…
Agreed. Today is potentially the last day, so people really need to know.
OMG Sylvari are dragon minions!?!?
-Chases you out of the grove with flowery weapons and turret seeds-
Those seed turrets always put me in combat
I do agree that all Ascended items should have multiple ways to be obtained actually. The following routes should be a bare minimum:
1. Crafting. I imagine this will occur once r500 armor crafting and Jeweler is released, so I’m not too concerned about it.
2. Laurels. As a reward from dailies/monthlies, Laurels provides a way for all players to acquire Ascended gear, no matter how they choose to play.
3. Badges of Honor. This is to provide WvW-only players a means of obtaining Ascended gear without needing to delve deeply into PvE.
Problem is that people have stacks of 2 and 3.
I have lots of laurels, badges, and 500 crafting level and yet I can’t buy an ascended back item without playing Fractals, and I can’t craft them. What is up with that? I completed dungeons, completed my world explorations, did jumping puzzles, did WvW, acquired lots of currencies, been playing since beta, committed lots and lots of time into the game, bought gems, but so what, as long as I don’t do Fractals, I can never ever get an ascended back piece. Does it even matter if I play this game another 5 years and earn even more achievements elsewhere, without playing Fractals, I would still not be able to get an ascended back piece.
So only Fractals people deserve the prestige of having an ascended back item, while you can have the greatest achievements outside of Fractals and they still don’t matter? It is not just spending time in the game, but spending time in that area (i.e. Fractals) that they want you to play that matters.
Since I hate Fractals, I can never ever get an ascended back piece regardless of how much of the other aspects of the game I have achieved.
I’m in the same both with you, I’m boicoting fractals since october 2012 when all that horizontal progression what they talking about was a big fat lie all that time.
Same here.
I do not do fractals either. I actually do no dungeons, because WoW dungeoned me all out. So yeah, I am in the same boat. Laurels and WvW badges should be fine for purchasing cloaks, but he was talking about all ascended items. The only way that could function is if they capped them at like 1 item a week, or something. Which would be irritating.
Thanksgiving is occurring later than usual this year, so you aren’t incorrect.
George R. R. Martin delayed it.

Your first point kinda made me think about basic idea of communism and Central-controlled economy. You know what? It failed
Capitalism failed miserably, and was bailed out by communism.
A WvW rune available only from 30+ fractals?
Sigh…
First I was doing tower on my wvw guard, was surviving ok, but it was taking really long.
Then switched to my glass war, everything started to go down WAY faster and actually doing less damage to me in the end. It’s definitely zerk-friendly. The only problem is those pugs who scale the events but do zero damage in their tanky clerics gear.
‘I changed to my 18k base HP warrior with his/her overpowered healing signet which completely counters toxin, and things somehow magically got easier!’
Nice.
You mean trading post.
You would think Asia would get its own one, because they will be entirely new players. But Anet might go crazy and link them to the EU/US trading post…
Why not simply give us Travel mounts ,so the game can determine the difference between a player running the map and a player thats ready for combat?
So what your really saying is you want mounts and want to run right through a mob without them attacking you?
In a word, no.
No I told you what I wanted. I want fall damage to not put us into combat. the rest of that stuff, you added, which I never said.
You posted that mount stuff in your opening post…
TOO SUBTLE, ANET.
Sounded like she was pretending to be the Krait god. Unless the fake prophet was supposed to be the god she referred to.
A trait that protects you from conditions in a toughness traitline still seems a little backwards to me. If you want a condition buffer you should spec into vitality but anet has something against water.
The thing is, Anet wants to buff Earth traitline.
Ever seen anyone put 30 points into Earth?
We go 20 Earth right now. The last 10 can come from water, I guess. 0/0/30/20/20.
Never expected Anet would even consider refunding these gems, but if they do, kudos.
I’m also incredibly surprised this.
“I willingly bought tools based purely on my own made up assumption of something so I demand you reimburse me!”
Your name is very ironic.
Arc Lightning is very weak, though it is good for proccing stuff.
Stone Shards is very powerful for killing veterans, etc, if you go a condition build. But the lack of easy fire access kills it.
Flamestrike is just weird and weak.
Ice Shards do less damage than they seem, but are great for tagging things and using on vulnerable targets if you have the trait.
The problem with datamined items is that they should never have been datamined to begin with. People have datamined ascended armour, yet that is not in the game yet either. The OP smells a bit of Au de Entitlement…
You need to look up what entitlement means.
Anet regulate the price. And yes, the current 7 gold per 100 is extreme.
> means greater than, so no need for the extra than.
Also, I want one of those.

I bet necros have still had more posts than eles.
You would probably lose that bet. We have had Dev 9 posts over the last 20 forum pages, including one thread lock, one post reminding us to post bugs in the bugs subforum, and Jon’s recap post. Ele’s have had 12 Dev posts in their last 20 pages. That alone is a 25% improvement. I’m not going to check back further than that, but feel free to do so.
Necros were also substantially buggier on launch than Eles (and most other professions), so even if we did have more overall posts, it would be somewhat deserved.
Before that eles had absolutely nothing.
I bet necros have still had more posts than eles.
All of the new recipes are great for WvW.
