Either give every profession low (relatively) cooldown Elite skills, or remove these type of things from the game.
Oh and why is there a 30 second cooldown on the new Krait rune 6 piece bonus? Can any profession actually get even close to a 30 second cooldown Elite?

It says it has a 5 second cooldown. Does this mean a UNIVERSRAL cooldown, as in that pet that just bit you and got blinded means you cannot blind anyone for 5 seconds? If so, the trait is useless.

I hope they do not forget about Superior Rune of the Sunless. Tequila sunrise is crying over his horrible rune.
It was designed this way to force Elementalists into water/arcane, therefore reducing the amount of workable traits the devs had to design.
keep in mind some runes and sigills can be crafted, so those are unlikely to explode

Have you guys seen Ele full Cele Ascended builds? They are rather broken as it is and you want them to have a BIGGER buff?

So I decided to run some numbers after reading the critical damage blog post. I know what the majority of responses will be to this. After the patch, crit damage will be replaced with ferocity, and celestial gear will receive a 6% boost to it’s current stats. Due to rounding, I will post a low and high possible value. This is done using ascended quality.

With this in mind the new crit damage according to my numbers will be somewhere between 33.53% and 33.66%. This is in stark contrast to the old 62%. We are losing about 30% crit damage. My problem with this is I used the gem shop and rl money to make a fully ascended celes set with the intent for VERY high crit damage.

You won’t get a refund. I do think that a one time stat change for celestial gear might be nice. It was done for magic find gear, so the code’s already in the game
Oh, Becka…Celestial WAS magic find gear, and got no free stat change. It always gets the shaft.
All I see are the old ones that were announced two months ago, and will ultimately change nothing. New GM traits are all well and good (though many of them are useless), but where are the NEW balance changes?
For example, all the listed Ele changes are the ones we already knew. Where is the staff role change? Where are the passive survivability buffs?

- The Fire one is interesting, and might make staff more viable in PvP. Giving up Persisting Flames will hurt A LOT, though.
- The Air trait is horrendous. Needs to be scrapped.
- Immune to Criticals while in Earth MIGHT work, if they have made Earth actually usable…
- Arcane looks like it might synergise well with Earth, though the water boon sucks.
My two 80s are an Ele and a Mesmer. Blink is better.

It really is a kitten move. That trait should be free for all players “your arrows will actually hit things and do damage now!,” not something that you have to trait into. At absolute maximum it should be a 25-point minor trait.
Seriously, 100g per trait…even suggesting that seems ludicrous to me. Maybe 10g a trait, max.
10g? What, are we rolling in money like TP farmers now? No, 1g, maximum, and that’s only for the GM ones. The master traits should be 25s, the Adept ones 1s. If they plan on charging more than that then they’ll need to overhaul the economy to be more rewarding for those that don’t play the markets.
Are you joking? 1g would trivialise the whole thing. 10 gold at least will make some people actually do things, instead of buying them all.
Since healing is not a role in this game, and since dps and active defenses are the best way to support people, I’m confused as to why this trait is going to exist.

My guess: This trait is explicitly intended for the role as a group supporter, and not for self-sustain. Much like the guardians pre-release F1-F3 mechanic had been, before it was watered down.

People blasting water fields are the main source of healing in WvW, and this trait does nothing to boost this, outside of eles blasting their own fields.

I don’t see anything wrong with Warriors… they are one of my favorite targets to kill. I beat 95 % of the warriors I face one on one and I play a Engi :]

I have come across many who wish Tengu becomes a playable race. Honestly, since I lack that whole avian spirit… I wouldn’t much care to see that. However… I would totally play Djinn if that was made a playable race, and even more so than that, since I’m a girl in all… I’d play a faerie too! Would GWs ever introduce Faeries into the game… or… Djinn… or, oooohhh! Brownies! I’d totally play a brownie!

They are the weakest PvP profession, great in premade dungeons, great in WvW zergs, average to weak at WvW roaming, and ok at non-dungeon PvE and non-premade dungeons.
The major issues are the tissue paper armour/health, horrible traits, and only cantrips being viable (other than Arcane Wave).

Mending might look like a decent heal when comparing it to other healing abilities. However, this heal is very lackluster for the warrior since they sort of rely on good healing.

I think it was absolutely core to the design of this new gear that you GET INTO LIONS ARCH AND DO SOME HEROING to get the shiny. The blade backpacks are for heroes, not the shopping network.

You don’t want too many people at the miasma events or they scale so poorly they are unwinnable. The only other thing you can do is the defend events which is where most of the bags I get come from. If that is “doing it wrong”, I am not sure what you are suppose to do then.
Rescuing people is doing it right, and you get far less bags doing that.
Give us something to use all these stupid currencies on…

I know that im out of topic here and not using the format proposal and i apologize for it ,but before posting any ideas about the ranger and having into consideration that this will be read by some dev ,i will like to ask something :
Would you ever (or have you) considered the removal of the pet ,knowing how borked the ai is ,and as anet says ,it can not be reworked because its tied to mob ai?
Or would you consider split the class in to two, ranger/beastmaster ,and rework the pet ai from the ground.

Removing the pet was something that was discussed in initial design of the class, but it is such an integral part of the Ranger’s design and philosophy.
There might be some ways that we can redesign the pet and it’s AI, but those are big projects. For the time being, we are happy to take any suggestions regarding the pet.
