Each person reacts differently to “interesting” forum posts, for mine, I laughed and then spent the night flipping green camps red for the tick any BL I could manage it.

meh I have no idea if I even made a 100 ppt difference over the 4-5 hrs but I enjoyed it… some good skirmishes from both BG and JQ WvW ers

Bring it whichever way you choose, WvW is the game for me.

Speaking for myself;

I am perfectly happy to play vs 1 or 2 of the T1 servers each and every week, if it allows the draw to be redone in a fair manner for the three servers who actually stand a chance of winning.

IMHO, Winning due to a faulty draw would be a terrible feeling.

In a way I feel the same as the OP. I WvW every day for several hrs. I am very happy to see new faces in WvW

BUT

I know/feel that when I am defending a keep, Stonemist or even a camp or tower, that I am working against my own server’s achievement seekers need to flip and reflip.

Each to their own, for myself, I am reducing my play time for the first few weeks of this league until the achievement seekers are pretty much done.

There is a code of conduct that all signed to allow access to these forums, there is also a further wvw code of conduct reminder.

SoR/SBI and SoS all have some fine players who are providing a great deal of fun ingame. We also have a few forum monkey’s who appear to wish to play a different game.

Each person is entitled to an opinion. That said, I suffer from actually having a decent memory.

In the SoS/JQ/SBI days many SoS commanders did an excellent job of gaming JQ and SBI into nullifying each other. The fact that we may be tending to go after SoR currently is our choice and freely made at that. SBI is also free to play however they wish.

IMHO, The fact that SBI is currently doing a better job of gaming SoR for ppt than we are is simply their playstyle choice. There is nothing wrong with playing the ppt game for your server.

My take on the Sos/Sor/SBI ppt/rating and up for grabs gold league 6th spot.

Both SoS and SBI seem to still be turning out in decent numbers. SoR is controlling who holds PPT and how much BUT due to the 400+ SoR owns constantly there is a chance for Maguuma to pass SBI rating with a decent push.

Decide whether you want to try for gold league or not, it is your call and it is still doable.

Gamers have chosen their server based on whatever they feel is a good choice, I am fine with that. Best to get on with the game.

Some good fights on SoS BL last night again, SoR hammered us a few times and we got the odd win, great to see many SoS turning out!

IMHO, There have been some great fights over the weekend. SoR is as usual very organised and fights well. It is good to see SBI on the rise again as they were fine opponents in the days when T1 was JQ/SoS/SBI.

As to SoS, speaking for my own guildmates, we are turning up in larger numbers than usual and doing what we can, fun defence of Longview last night.

The 3 way fight in SoS Garrison was tremendous fun in spite of the skill lag.

Props to all actual ingame combatants, keep bringing the fun

Very hard to judge from the forum wars but has SBI increased the overall lead since the weekend? If so good going, Mags has always been strong mid week.

It is probably best to ignore any trash talk and just let the forum warriors play with themselves.

Some great fights on TC BL last night, some good ebbs and flows and I am very happy to see new faces turning out to WvW for SoS. I hope gamers from all servers are enjoying the week.

Ah my error, if it is only points for first second and third we can have a far better 7 weeks.

The final ratings winner at the end of the season may easily be decided by scores made against servers 4-5-6 NOT vs fellow t1 servers. I would suggest that winning the league may come down to which server is most proficient in completely crushing the spirit of a lower ranked opponent.

Hopefully I will be proven wrong.

There are good and bad players on every server. There are people trying to enjoy the game on every server. Please try to treat fellow gamers with respect.

Some very good fights in eternal last night oceanic, we held Veloka and our keep for as long as we could and I was enjoying the struggle immensely.

After well over a decade playing online games I have seen several gaming companies face major decision points. It is impossible to always get them right…( NGE etc )

I am currently seeing/hearing many WvW players looking for a reason to play while others are already seeking drama to justify leaving servers/GW2.

I am not convinced reducing map caps is appropriate but I understand something needs to be done to encourage destacking as well.

IMHO, a JQ, BG, SOR only gold league is more likely to retain GW2 WvW players over the next 7 weeks.

Some good fights last night mid oceanic on SoS BL. All forces experienced some wins and losses and SoS had some good numbers turn out.

I appreciated the JQ 8-10 man crew that was running about away from main zergs and I enjoyed some good fights around camps and structures.

Mags like all servers has always had some good players. Mags fields some well crafted roaming builds and has good NA coordination. BUT in the past they have tended to lack a focus on PPT, meh, each to their own PPT is not everything.

If mags has found the desire to push hard all week and gains 6th spot in time for the league, good on them.

Many of us on SoS (we each choose our own servers ) are still pushing for that 6th spot as well, again each to their own. Do not count SBI out just yet either.

Mags have some superb forum warriors and truly deserve a spot in the gold forums league. Mags and SBI have always played well and I would like a match between us for the 6th spot.

The fact of the matter is : SoS currently holds the 6th spot and any increase in our rating makes the chase more difficult for Mags and SBI.

IMHO, RNG matchups will have a lot to more to do with the finishing order than forum guffle.

My apologies to the MERC guardian who got ganked waving back to me at briar, I did not realise you would stop so close to our tower.

I would support 4 leagues simply because 2 leagues will IMHO, badly hurt T1 servers.

I doubt we will leave a 7 week ,2 league system with as many GW2 players as we began it.

Sorry to invade your thread but I was amazed out how in sync with the music the asura were, nice video……..

we know there are some troll guilds/players switching around the servers griefing, contact server leaders/posters/forums etc if you wish to report them to fellow players.

Otherwise use the email to exploits system provided( hopefully one day there will be a right click option) and report them with as much detail as you can.

Credit where credit is due, I have a great deal of respect for BP’s players continuing to turn out and bring the fights. They could easily have switched off and tried for a rank 13, silver league spot but have proven to be WvWvWers.

Very good fights over night. CD did a terrific job of defending bay for an extended period and only lost it to trebs after all supply was drained.

Good to see new SoS commanders on the field, keep at it all!

There have been some very fine fights, last night I had a few good solo fights with determined defenders on CD BL. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did.

Ratings mean very little and people hopefully are enjoying the fights regardless of being rated 1 or 24, lack of coverage may annoy but we are all just gamers.

I enjoyed fighting SBI in T1. They were good strong opponents. With their new arrivals SBI may or may not beat SoS, either way I am pretty sure it will be a good fight.

I doubt the league makes much difference, most of the top 10 have fought everything from rank 1 to rank 15 now anyway.

Good luck to those who are close to rank 12-13, I hope you make the right division for your servers.

Props to the Mag’s players who stayed and fought on Mag BL in oceanic hrs last night, I think the guild tags were VR, PYRO and a few others. Good use of defensive siege, good movement around the map. Congrats on wiping our first push on NE tower.

Thanks for the good fights over the weekend, it is good to see skilled roamers and some smaller sized groups willing to engage.

Often a few misplaced words turn decent advice into a post that will draw contempt, english is an odd language.

JQ has shown us how to win over a long period of time, 19/50 appearances (38%) wins in T1, amazing effort JQ. BG has recently emerged as a power with 11/34 (32.35%) wins in T1. SoR is going great with 6/32 appearances (18.75%) wins in T1.

Well intended Advice from fellow gamers from these three powerhouses, even if poorly worded, could be at very least, IMHO, “tolerated”.

By now people are on servers they choose to be on, opinions vary.
People play for different things, ppt, kills, fights, yak parades etc..opinions vary.
People are more or less concerned than others by gear, rank, numbers or hat size..opinions vary

IMHO, unpredictable humans often add fun to games.

Some interesting points of view. I support the right of players to either turn off the buff or move away from the wvwvw game. I would prefer the former.

There were some very fine fights last night oceanic in eternal, great work all involved, it was hopefully fun for all servers.

While we got our share of kills, SoR has some fine well drilled teams who work well together and wiped our swarm several times. I expect nothing less from a true T1 server, keep on bringing it!

Big congrats to the SoS commander and his team that chipped away at SM for hours before taking it!

Some great fights last night oceanic on EB. SoR used some fine hammer team tactics and I hope all three servers enjoyed the battles.

Good to see a variety of tactics and I personally enjoy playing SoR and TC though I would prefer to draw them one at a time!

IMHO,The real questions are as follows;

Should servers rated 10-11-12 be playing to ensure they are rated 13-14-15 prior to the start of the league?

Should servers rated 13-14-15 be taking steps now to ensure their rating does not climb to 10-11-12 prior to the start of the league season?

Should those of us loyal to our servers start asking our server mates which league pool they wish to be in?

I am not a great fan of the league concept BUT the 5-6 weeks facing the same opponents thing was not working either so any change is worth a shot….

This is a game world, regardless of our personal opinions it is clear that numbers matter and additional server participation should be encouraged.

EBay did well last night and held many structures while outmanned, good gains on rating. Good defence of your keep in eternal.

DB fought some amazing open field battles in eternal and the flip of sm while we were inside but facing a second southern force was excellent work! congrats!

SoS, great work in eternal, some great pushes and our pug forces did well.

A quote for all gamers/leaders/followers to consider;

A few ill mannered story tellers on the forums should not really matter but over time their vitriol can wear down some forum readers.

I would suggest putting the worst offenders on ignore and moving on with the process of enjoying the game world while you play within it.

Thank you for quoting a portion of my post in your very interestingly worded and enjoyable story of your hills defence. I disagree with a few conclusions made in your story but I respect your entitlement to an opinion.

I thought your defence of hills was well done, forcing the opposing team to zeroise supply through multiple attacks is how hills should be defended.

The many times over the past year that small forces from a variety of servers have defended hills vs superior numbers shows hills to be a very good choice to defend.

Enjoy the game and please keep turning out for WvW when you can.

Please focus on the good fights, defences and sieges we have had this week.

A few bad apples, some of whom are only here for the weekend, are not representative of the three servers.

I have seen some very fine tactical play this week. In particular, I love the work of the “LOOT” guild, legend ? rank character and his asura guildmate who show amazing perserverance while defending hardened targets.

Very good organisation, scouting and response from the DH and YB teams this week. I hope gamers from all three servers are enjoying the week.

I thank both YB and DH for bringing the fun this week. I think SoS has played servers ranked 1-15 in the last few months and I see very little difference between individual player skill levels.

I would ask gamers to consider ignoring the troll/hate posters who drop in now and then, IMHO it is better to just deny them the attention they seek.

Good GvG Team Shatter versus Unreal Aussies ( uA) I played as a norn necro and I thought uA used very good movement and condition control. While TS were happy to get one skirmish win, the series win clearly went to uA.

I appreciate the turnout from both sides, including the onlookers, thanks for bringing the fun.

IMHO, It does not matter, if 5-60 run over me, stomp, laugh, teabag, spawn camp whatever, 30 seconds afterwards I have forgotten, it does NOT change my playstyle.

If a good fight between 2 well matched players is fought out and the winner ( without previously arranging it) declines the stomp , bows and leaves, I remember the encounter.
