I have enjoyed playing against the many fine people from JQ, SBI, BG, and SoR over the last few months but the forum warriors have not added any fun for me at all.

FACT, We all agreed to a code of conduct prior to being allowed to post.

IMHO, With a little care you are able to get your point across without demeaning others.

IMHO, while forum warriors create drama and shout out noise about fairness, courage, stamina manning up, growing balls etc , many gamers just get on with enjoying the game. To some this forum noise is a game in itself.

Some great fights are being played out ingame in spite of any lag, culling or queue issues! Hopefully a critical mass of gamers are still enjoying the game and will continue to play.

Some great fights, including a 25+ min lag fest in SM, great work all keep bringing the fun!

Last night we had some good fights late NA timezone to early Oceanic. My congrats to the JQ team on SoS BL that was using an interesting combination of confusion and necromancer skills in 20+ vs 20+ combat.

Lots of fun, wins to both teams and good to see variations in tactics used by commanders!

IMHO, There is zero point arguing about numbers or the right or wrong of players transfers choices. The game is what it has always been, that is all. There have been some great fights and IMHO, this is still an enjoyable game.

I understand that some players feel they should just walk away from the game and use boredom to sort out the numbers but I doubt that will help the game compete with upcoming titles..

I would suggest the better alternative is playing only the hours you enjoy playing

There have been some great fights this week. At different times each server has taken a bit of a rest and scores moved accordingly. This is not a bad thing as we all want WvWvW to continue and managing player/commander burn out is important.

Great work SoR, excellent week in T1! You held your No 2 rating position and very nearly grabbed the weekly silver medal. Thank you for the great battles.

Good work as usual JQ, congrats on winning the weekly gold medal. While there are many fine JQ guilds FOO is always impressive!

Keep at it SoS, a good struggle in T1 this week, everyone put in and some great fights were enjoyed.

There are many fine guilds/players on all servers.

I have had the pleasure of playing alongside both TSym and VoTF guild members this week. I am an old grumpie person and yet I continue to be impressed by these guilds.

A good week of ingame fighting, the non reset means we will fight again next week, barring a huge ratings shift.

I congratulate all those players who have put in great efforts for their respective servers and hope you all find enjoyment in the hours you are ingame.

IMHO, Without opponents, there is no GW2 WvWvW.

I am not interested in the forum wars. While this week is not done, there are a few things I can safely say;

IMHO SoR has fought a terrific fight this week, it looks to me as if they were playing exceptionally long hours this week, great effort and they have produced a very worthy T1 team effort! SoR can hold their heads high!

SoS has had a great run in T1 and the entire SoS community can be proud of their efforts! I am proud of my SoS teamates.

JQ has a very strong team who were in T1 longer than anyone else, great effort. I wish JQ luck in the coming series and hope to face them again sometime!

If the ratings are similar to the millenium numbers, I congratulate the new T1 teams and look forward to possibly facing them in the future.

As a note to all, during last night’s epic fights we tried changing the team colours switch to “everyone” and it seemed to help with culling issues.

I am a SOS WvWvWer now and likely as long as I play GW2. That does not mean I can not respect my ingame opponents for their efforts. JQ was consistently a strong enemy who I always felt had superb scouting, rapid response and coordination skills. I am not willing to suddenly hate them for recruiting, at their core they are the same server.

IMHO, As far as coverage arguments go, Just get over it, play your best for your own servers while you are online and be content you have done your bit.

Top effort this week SoR, if you can stay ahead you will have achieved much against skilled opponents! Some great fights again this evening.

This week has seen some epic fighting and we have enjoyed a very good natured thread.

IMHO, Yes I agree coverage matters, BUT it is best to just leave it alone as a topic and get on with the game. IMHO, talking about it just awakens the forum warriors.

Time and the ratings reshuffle will sort out coverage issues.

The queue bugs are annoying. The relative coverage of servers is just a fact of life now.

Hopefully we will continue to get great fights and people will still be enjoying this game in the months to come.

IMHO, it is NOT a conspiracy. SoR is playing well and SoS is doing what it can. I still see a very good number of SoS out and playing their hearts out. JQ with the exception of 2 weeks out of the last 11 weeks, has always started out slowly the first 72 hours.

SoS had queues on 3 maps at times last night in oceanic, either good numbers were out or a querk, either way, the fight goes on.

To judge an opponent fairly you need to play 24/7 on every single map.

As the day passes the teams relative strengths change, the outcome can be vastly different when you flank 20 loose players than when you for example, try to flank 20 RG players.

Over the 7-8 hrs I play, Sor has been playing great, both SoS and SoR gained a lot of badges fighting each other yesterday and I hope the terrific to and fro battles continue tonight.

I do have a few suspicions that the weekly JQ resurgence is well underway but we will do what we can to hold the line. SoS and SoR are not here by accident and all three servers know how to play.

This is a great match so far, SoR is leading by a 3-4 thousand and we are getting some terrific fights on SOR BL!

Win lose or draw, keep bringing the fun!

I currently play in Tier 1, Anet have announced a rating reset and likely my server will fall to tier 3-4-5 at the end of this week as we are in a hard struggle. We will fight on.

It is likely three different teams will be in tier 1 at the end of the week. I will congratulate them and fight on.

Next week we will fight again and if good enough we will move up a tier or two.

If we earn it we will return to tier 1. Not a fan of the reset but it is just a new challenge.

The fights this week have been very good, it appears all servers are having queue issues. Everyone is facing similar issues.

IMHO, SoR is going great and deserves to be leading.

There does seem to be something wrong with the queues, one of our commanders has not even made it in today while other people pop in within 30 mins, oh well.

Those of us in are fighting the good fight and enjoying it!

Last two weeks there have been some issues with queues and arriving after a long wait to what feels like an undermanned team, hopefully they are even for everyone or will be fixed soon,

The fights ingame are superb. SoR is doing great and JQ response times are as good as ever, hopefully this even struggle will continue all week and then next week we can do it all again, in some tier!

BG played great and were worthy T1 competitors. Your arrival time was unfortunate, 3 weeks earlier and you would have been settled into t1.

I have no doubts BG will return to T1. Sorry about SoS sneaking your 2nd position this week but at least it is not the silver medalist going down a tier.

JQ, you have always played great, the ingame performance has always been superb. IMHO, you will dominate the next series and have built a very strong coordinated server force. Good luck in the next series!

SoS, I welcome those more recent arrivals and thank any and all who have been out there fighting!

The rules of the forums do not allow you to name and shame a player individually.

This leads to posts that accuse an entire server of having the attitude displayed by one poster. While it seems fair that you have the right to reply to a complaint by one poster, attributing that poster’s attitude to the whole server is very likely incorrect and unfair.

IMHO, Those of us who are out there fighting for our servers rain hail or sunshine do not deserve to be lumped in with the forum warriors.

NOC Has done a terrific job this week but there is only so much you can do against a larger well managed force let alone two.

Over the last 6-7 weeks many players have been playing a few hours either side of their timezones. I have seen the same teams out for 8-12 hrs straight but coverage holes do become painful.

I honestly wish BG luck with the recruiting as three, 24/7 teams going at it would be fun to see.

These last two weeks BG has played great!

JQ has always been strong, recruited well and has played great!.

JQ has won this week well. 18 medals this series highlights their consistency..

For reasons I do not fully understand, there have been issues with queues to near empty Borderlands and several borderland crashes this week but some very good fights!

All of us can look forward to some interesting times as the ratings reset, if 3 servers from tiers 2-8 end up in T1 the next week after reset, good luck to them.

Over time it will all sort out.

Based on the current ratings SoS will just remain in Tier 1 for the last week in this series. To my mind the Reset brings us a new weekly series, new challenges and more fun.

If SOS holds T1 this week, then SoS will end the first weekly series with 12 Tier one medals and JQ will end with 18, a terrific effort by both servers.

I think players who contributed to those medals can be proud of their server’s efforts. I also thank JQ for many fun fights in T1.

IMHO, BG will do well in the next series and I wish them luck!

odd as the zoom combo trains seem to be using staff eles currently, not d/d.

I have fought alongside Tysm and against EMP. Some amazing battles and Keep/garrison defences.

IMHO, They are two very fine teams. I hope they both stay in GW2 for a long time.

People need to take an honest look at their own posts. A number of posters consider everyone else to be the troll and themselves to be the white knight defenders of truth and justice. They may want to reread their own series of posts.

IMHO, trolling “back” is still just trolling. Exploiting back is still just exploiting. and hate posts for whatever reason are just hate posts.

IMHO, It is fairly pointless telling other servers what they should do and how they should play against you, it might be better to just get on with playing the game the way you think it should be played.

I enjoyed the fights with BG, JQ early this week and look forward to playing them both again sometime this year.

I personally think we ( SoS) have a fair amount of work to do before being back up to the new gold standard but I am hoping we will get it done. Regardless, I will be on the WvWvW battlefields as it is the part of this game I enjoy most.

The world is not ending. I have enjoyed fighting JQ and the week before this was a terrific struggle that could have gone to anyone.

IMHO, These matches are more fun with three strong teams going at it but RG, and many other guilds have shown us that 15-20 man teams can give 40+ a fright. These aggressive guilds have shown that numbers are not everything open field.

Good luck all, the new series has not yet begun but I am hoping we all get some fun fights during the upcoming matches.

As I have been saying all week, I have seen BG fight great this week and I personally do not like the idea that they can win second place and drop a tier.

Regardless of numbers there are some great fights going on and these last two weeks have seen a lot more open field fighting, good stuff!

Gamers are just gamers, they go where they or their guilds perceive the fun to be, that is all. They are not evil, just people trying to enjoy their online time.

Disregarding the forum warrior waffle, this has been a good week for ingame fights.

Playing oceanic hrs on SoS I have not personally noticed a significant drop in our numbers this week, we still had eb queued mostly and sometimes queues on sos border. I have noticed a lot of new SoS commanders, welcome!.

I have also noticed we now have more presence in SEA/EU times and welcome the new arrivals! Some very good fights occur late in my timezone!

IMHO, SoS/BG and JQ open field team tactics have all improved with new arrivals!

BG has done great this week and showed they are a true T1 competitor, JQ has been impressive as usual. Hopefully all three servers will meet again somewhere in the new WvWvW series after all the Feb reset waves settle.

If/when JQ wins this week it will be because they have organised their numbers well and responded to attacks with their normal rapid response. IMHO, nobody does scouting and rapid response as well as JQ . Congrats it is just as good a win as any other win ever gained in T1.

EDIT: Apologies BG, meant to congrats your team at SoS Garrison today, excellent counter pushes and holding a garri with zero supply and 4-5 holes in it, Great work, loved the Hammer guys/girls leading the counter charges..

I am a little concerned with the reset as a close fought T1 may see 3, 600PPT earning lower tier servers in T1 for a few weeks. Hopefully the numbers are a bit more complicated than that and JQ, BG SOR etc get a fair go. Time will tell.

As a SoS player myself, I will be on SoS always and hope to face many quality opponents on the battlefields!

I agree with gospel, we all have fought/played alongside some fine players. Many commanders have stayed up all night or round the clock to help their teams and some players actually respect their opponents skills and tenacity. Without opponents, there is really nothing for me in these games.

I am still out their fighting for SoS but to be honest, I am not happy that BG could be booted from Tier 1 in a week where they win silver. It seems Wrong.

I am sure that if BG drops, they will return shortly, they have been playing great.

This is a game. All servers are infested with gamers. People need a break now and then so they recruit others, that is all, it is not some evil plot to break the game.

The top tier servers have very large numbers, everyone in the game that actually plays will have run into larger or better coordinated forces and been wiped, get over it.

There is a fair amount of interesting maths going on in this thread. My 2 cents.

IMHO, Regardless of finishing places, Barring a 50k surge by any one team;
JQ will finish with a rating between 2158-2180+.
Both SoS and BG will finish with ratings between 2100 and 2135+.
SoR will finish with a rating between 2135 and 2145+.

Regardless it is a great battle with some excellent struggles taking place all week so far.

Why sling mud, JQ did nothing wrong by recruiting, they have always had some fine leaders/squads/guilds/teams. We are all gamers, those looking for T1 action would naturally choose servers likely to play in T1, that is all.

This week the JQ forces have been excellent, whoever is working SoS BL have been very tough, well led and fought for every inch of ground, great work!

BG has fought hard and earned every point they have received , great work!

Those of us who WvW win lose or draw have been out there all week for SoS and while we have had some victories the week so far belongs to JQ, congrats but not going to stop me trying.

Good luck all, we know the forum warriors are not representative of their servers. In fact Guild members that PvE cross server assure me that people from other servers are an ok bunch.

Some good fights, pointless discussing numbers, the game is what it is and numbers shift. Many of us fight as hard as we can for our servers but still have respect for our opponents efforts. A few others well, read all their posts and decide for yourselves..

Good work BG you are currently well and truly above SoR in rating! Keep at it for the week and you will secure your spot in T1.

I did not see any huge SoS login surge later when the login server was fixed, so I am unsure it was a major factor.

BG and JQ forces did better ppt wise than SoS that is all, done is done, congrats and good fights! On with the week!

Great effort BG, keep fighting to stay in Tier 1! It is no sure thing who will drop out of Tier 1 if anyone does.

I thank the posters who post in accordance with the code of conduct rules we all signed and remind people that quoting posts containing accusations against player/guild names, may not be the wisest action. Always your call of course but please take any infractions , bans incurred with grace and move on. Try not to get these threads closed.

Some great fights, both JQ and BG were fighting great and scoring good ppt. SoS is not done yet and will be fighting on, enjoy the game all.

I do not normally play during the frantic post reset hours but was awake and joined in today, good fun. It is great to see so many people enjoying the game.

Every team played well at times this week and had their victories. I welcome the new arrivals/returnees to all servers and look forward to the coming battles.

Great effort playing all night people, all teams had the borderlands rocking, a lot of fun and a match that was undecided down to the last 4-5 hrs.

I hope that any innocent people are quickly unbanned.

I also hope that 1-2 admitted past exploits by individuals are not being used as a reason to single out a guild or guild members.

Please treat each case on it’s own merits when you feel you are seeing bots/exploits etc you may be mistaken.

Interesting week, if JQ wins it, congrats we have had some great three way fights this week, you will have earned it.

For myself I am more interested in BG maintaining tier 1 position at least until T2 is not a shambles. Keep at it, hold ratings by belting sos/jq around for 1-2 weeks and I feel the false t2 ratings will subside.

IMHO, BG posters and players have on the whole behaved in a fine manner. Very few exceptions. As to the forum warriors from SoS/JQ, if points were deducted from team scores each time many of these posters spewed forth their garbage….. well from my count BG would be winning this week by 2-300k.

I expect many members of both SoS and JQ would prefer our forum warriors get over themselves. Competition is good, vomiting out nonsense is not so good.

Calm down with the total nonsense, please, people are recruiting, new forces are arriving, the game has rendering issues, just let it settle and play the game please.

If Anet considered these actions an exploit, then by their own code of conduct, this thread would be reviewed for deletion/infractions.

Discussion of exploits along with naming servers, guilds or individuals you consider exploiters is to my understanding, a breach of the code of conduct all of us signed.

I would have preferred them to have just raised the population caps myself.
