I really love the idea of the traits but starting at 30 is too late I think, I don’t think it’d be too bad to spread them out as normal rather than crunching some up near the max level.
Getting traits is a fun thing afterall. If I had to grind 30 levels before getting any I would have been so bored and probably not made it past 30.
You can also dodge through the mob to stay in range
I think whoever told you that was silly. Hit everything it’s fine. There is no cc broken by being attacked.
I am very much looking forward to this, alas I’ve already gotten everything, will be fun helping the newer players out getting their traits.
There will be only 1 trait in each slot caveman, you won’t be able to equip 2 grandmasters
Maybe if crits caused any burning you had up to explode for power damage, that’d be nice…

It’s seriously poor design. The fact that the cursor vanishes when you mouse-steer is the worst thing about it. If you stand still and cast, it’s not too bad but if you are trying to move at the same time, tough!
The recent change to ground targeting improved matters but it’s still far from perfect.One thing that helps is an addon called gw2cursor (google it). It overlays a non-vanishing cursor that’s actually big enough to see and that doesn’t disappear under all the particle effects.
It vanishes but it’s exactly where you left it. It’s easy to get used to that position.
Asura racial is pretty nice if you want to apply conditions the class doesn’t have :p
you can emote /me or /e if i remember correctly.
In d&d, dragons are powerful spellcasters capable of shapeshifting. This doesn’t apply universally.

Stacking is interesting in situations where you might go down, that extra risk in keeping your full stack is pretty cool.

I’m just hoping we get rifle, pistol, sword or longbow, something we don’t have as a conjure, would really mix things up, lot of space to expand into before treading on the conjured weapon’s territory.
I’d be fine with conjures becoming full weapon sets and scrapping conjures though… would probably mean no more lightning hammer dps…
If you’re playing for fun, or you’re the best, Ele is the way to go
Not really zenith, you just buff the 2-5 skills that are hard to hit with in pvp, like eruption and icespike / shatterstone.
Every auto should be reduced, along with ridiculously long pve fights.
look at the damage ticks, multiply by duration, divide by your hp.
Combat log misses many things though, for sure, it should all be in there.
25 bleed stacks could turn into a “strong bleed” condition with the damage of the 25 stacks, so another 25 normal bleeds can be added (strong bleeds stack to 25 as well I guess :p)
Maybe applying burning to something already burning would cause a little power damage rather than extending the burn. Would lead to some interesting burst timings.
The control conditions are fine though, when they hit you at the wrong time it’s pretty devastating, especially when they cover up another condition.
Either way, staff ele isn’t squishy in pve. Are you talking about pvp?
The ele is more like the WoW shaman imho.

Churning earth was designed originally as a charge skill, you would have been able to release it early for a lesser effect.
I suggest reverting it to that.
Underwater combat in GW2 is the best out of any other MMO that i’ve seen underwater combat with.

I still think that this trait has to give you more % dmg reduction the lower your hp gets. Sound more like a diamond skin like that
In reality diamonds will shatter when hit with a weapon, but won’t dissolve in acid, for example.
The “true mage” is mesmer tbh. Ele is not very much like the traditional mage archetype in other games.
Either way, you can use anything you want in pve and survive, just be careful not to get hit. Take anything that gives you vigor. You can blast your multiple water fields for heals too. You have easy access to protection, that’s 33% damage reduction if you insist on face tanking.
But seriously, if you’re taking the big hits, something is wrong with your playstyle, work on that, then you can build from there.

Remember to blast fire fields as much as you can. Stack for 25 might and you’ll do well
Dungeons require a group and award achievements. Achievements are not purely personal.
On my server we kill the knights one at a time, everyone gets all the loot.
Also if you’re doing the split groups tactic and you beat your knight, you can go support the other groups.

It warns you before you equip it. Generally when playing games it helps to look at the screen.
These zerg patches constantly prove how much we need to be able to scale back the skill effects. Most of the time I can’t see what I’m attacking so I spam TAB and 1 using a rifle or ranged weapon instead. I can’t even dodge big attacks because I can’t see it charging up. Please give us some sort of spell effects slider… ANYTHING.
It was kinda funny how they added the reduced skill effect patch and nobody noticed :p (hint, it’s not enough;;)
Braham made the right call far as I’m concerned. If anything I would have taken it one step further and attacked Scarlet immediately without engaging her, then openly stating my next move. That’s why Braham and Marjory were sucker punched via explosion. :p
But eh, gotta have proper dramatic banter I guess.
Reminds me of bosses in River City Ransom that would gloat, threaten, or cajole before fighting, and how I would run up and punch them in the face before they were done.
Yes I was trying to attack right away also, she’s just been so slippery during the whole story there’s no way you’d give her another chance to escape.
She’d have used her 4 skill to get up while talking. It was for the best :p

It does seem rather pointless as there isn’t anything in there that’s a threat but Scarlet, and he can and does get up and walk away a few moment later.
She was healing him and Jory through the whole battle
Also I think Rox’ mission was to make sure scarlet died, not to deliver the killing blow. Charr do value group contributions (more than Norn for example)

escape from LA has loads of people to talk to and lore, check out all the refugee camps.
I agree, generally people that are having fun, aren’t posting on the forums as much – since we are busy ingame having fun.
Why would the bandit drown? they can swim fine. Troll /boar might be in trouble, though, the spider is on high ground.

I think the reason why no carrion stats are available for some ascended gear is not an oversight but a balance issue as Pow/Condi is too powerful. Just like there is no Asc givers as Condi/Boon duration stacking could make some OP builds.
Yet we have Berserker everything …
Berserker is about to be nerfed /shrug
I’m pretty sure they all have a 5 cap like boon spreading, but their effects always work on whoever hits it.
The magnetic aura for example will reflect everything.
