I love my asura but I wish I could have some slightly more feminine clothing, I think jumping puzzles are easier as an asura… Just go for whoever you like the look of for years to come :p
If you make a group the groups damage counts towards your contribution, it helps a little.
I just wish the events that are massively zerged would replace the mobs with copper or silver (or maybe gold) level creatures, when I do 4 events in orr and get zero drops, just barely getting 1 hit on any mobs it’s silly.
(and please a little more speed on staff projectiles? :p)
Get it next year
Don’t AFK in the field.
+1 I’m a guild leader too and it’s a pain to have limited info.
Not every mmo is hardcore. Nobody ever implied gw2 would be one of the hardcore ones. No raiding for one :p
They obviously don’t want everyone to have every item, it’s even more pointless to have something everyone else has :p
If you don’t want to gamble, don’t buy a million chests.
The trouble with zerging is that anet wants you to never feel bad when more people arrive and the game is built around that. Anti zerging is all about making people not want to group up.
Tales of Tyria folks suggest removing the crossed swords, so that zergs would have to split up to effectively scout the map for where the fights are happening.
I’d go there more if it would drop items of my level, though it’s mainly the performance, pve never lags or has culling issues, and the pve and story is really good, better than any mmo i’ve played before.
I’ve been playing a lot and still haven’t done that many dungeons or my personal story, maybe when i’m done with that I’ll wvw more.
But yeah, most people don’t have powerful computers that can handle mass pvp. Spvp is more fun.
If this goes in i will be very very disappointed…. just make them look better kitten >_<
staff W4 clears immobilize/cripple/chill.
i doubt we’d need more hp if our skills worked like they were supposed to, I think anet shouldn’t buff anything til the bugs are fixed. The downed state improvement was fantastic though.
I think the lightning field is great, situational like all the others, sometimes you gotta go fast. And vulnerability/stun combos with other classes is rather nice.
That was enjoyable D/D pvp is so much fun
This is a shame The superhero mmos do it best really, Why not just have a “stats slot” and a “visual slot” like in so many games. meh, transmuting is indeed a pain (until you have a perfect maxed set of armour that you never plan on changing :p)
And so the threads by people pining for the yellow floating exclamation marks begins…
Use your eyes, your ears and your brain. It’s not hard.
People are just so impatient these days…
Nope Creslin, when there are no enemies around i start churning earth just for the blast finisher, and cancel so i can keep doing other things. The explosion at the end doesn’t do any finisher.
it’s an mmo bond, if you’re in a 1v1 you’re doing it wrong.
Wow some nice outfits here, It’ll be a while til i manage to build something I like… mucho golds :p
Churning earth has its blast finisher at the start not the end. (because of the cripple)
I LOVE the way the class works, just fix the bugs, attunement swapping and memorising timings, love it

Well the good thing about playing this class is that we’ll never be nerfed.
checks patch notes every week
Oh…
Having the ability to switch your offhand to mainhand for alternate skills would be nice, most people don’t post on forums period, since they are having fun ingame, and best case scenario, at most 10% of any game community actually reads the forums at all.
People post small things because they are being realistic :P You aren’t getting vast sweeping changes, though your effort is laudible
It’d be nice if conjured weapons could be switched too and from…or even replacing your 5 main abilities in an attunement like the engineer kits. That’d mix things up a bit..
it’s a bug if you aren’t seeing them, check your tickboxes in the bottom corner.
Downed is not dead, if people get downed a bunch of times in a fight that’s not failure. Only if the team actually dies.
Many games do this, and I think its a decent fix. I don’t mind being the prey and having to book it once in a while.
Tbh there are quite a few wandering champs but they just don’t wander through the farming spots :P
well you can always go into it when a guildy does it, but that is a bit of a band aid :p
Visiting the respawning chests is a nice break from orr :P
Durzlla, dead people do less dps. Though I agree having more variation in mf gear is always fun.
Remove the death penalties in this game (repair and waypoint costs)

Doesn’t get on my nerves, just die less. Casual does not mean unskilled.
As ninjaEd rightly points out for pve it’s fine. WvW it’s out of your hands though. In pve I always go to res anyone that I see dead, but often they release just as I’m about to res them. If money is so important to you, play around other people, or ask in map chat, someone will often come to help you.
Would be nice if they had some numbers
Anet said that wvw is supposed to be more like the “pvp servers” of other games (hence the pve content there), not so much like spvp
I’d prefer something like more wandering champions that you can’t just skill spam to take out.
I remember the first time I entered burning crusade in wow and there were huge mechas that killed botters constantly as they traversed around the zone – any real player could easily avoid them. It adds flavour to the world, and even a nice random challenge for groups.
ALL skills (and weapons) should have an underwater alternative. There’s so much water combat it’s shocking that it’s so overlooked.
When I first heard about underwater combat I didn’t expect Trident, harpoon and spear to be the only weapons , I thought they’d be the replacement for torch/rifle/pistol (stuff that doesn’t really work underwater)
I don’t mind the bad downed state really since it’s pretty hard to get taken down with all our escapes and maneuverability.
Mist form really really needs to not increase the downed penalty though.
tbh you could easily make pve mobs act like players, just make them run away if you are stronger then they are, and dodge skills / run out of aoes.
Ofcourse wether that’s fun to play against or not is another discussion…
On topic, skills having a pve and pvp version is pretty required until pve is like pvp. CCP of EVE online are having a similar issue with pvp and pve setups being too drastically different too.
I’d just be happy if i could use all my skills underwater :/
Sometimes I forget some people don’t control the camera with the mouse.
The other classes will be nerfed, don’t worry. Game’s only been out for a month, these things take a long time.
Sell what you don’t want. Buy what you do.
Consumables in pvp would make them completely mandatory to be competitive, spvp is supposed to be something you can just jump into without needing to farm.
Also any food that gives you 100 power is not mundane food. Obviously the crystals are broken down into a salt (normal salt is sodium chloride, a crystal)
It’s fine, you don’t need any more zoom
It’s fine as it is, just needs a few balance tweaks to the numbers, the system is lots of fun when you actually play properly. It’s supposed to be hard.
I also play a very supportive style and it’s very frustrating to be putting in way more effort so others can survive, then getting a bronze and no drops.
Stuff is just hard enough that the chances to do damage are few and far between with people getting downed left and right..
I love my asura elementalist <3
anet doesn’t want people using too many waypoints evidently, it’d be like flying mounts, making the world empty.
I’m glad I made my ele first, my skill level has had to increase just to do basic things :P
Kung : discussions don’t change the game or what issues someone is having with said game. If you’re not having fun, why stick around ?
I know i’m having loads of fun (avoiding hearts as much as possible) but that’s a playstyle difference, can’t make one game for everyone :P
