I can’t go anywhere without sigil of energy Dodge all day everyday.
Poison is the one condition we can’t normally apply, so I love my radiation field
The Quaggan is sooo friggin tiny though.
30% Bigger and add some blue coloured backpack straps for realism and you have a winner.
The popularity of this item is proof that there is great potential in being able to further distinguish your character with Jem purchased accessories. I hope Anet continues on this path.
It’s also reasonably priced
I like it how it is headed, just want more
More big dynamic events that affect the zone, more of that “battle lines” feel and bosses that are super poweful unless you complete some other events to support the people fighting (and you getting access to the chest if you helped)
One example could be the lyssa event, when people have to defend the waypoint to stop it being recaptured, it could be a vital job, but in the current system you don’t get the chest.
Having the dragons cause real problems in the zone if you don’t beat them too.
Basically just more events that intertwine to increase immersion.
@Avatar, it’s not a zerg if it’s difficult. The only reason you find the current bosses boring is that you don’t have to put much effort in.
The main reason events are in the daily is so people actually go out and fill the world, gw2 isn’t supposed to be a lobby game.
there’s no loot in spvp, people play that.
I personally like the gameplay, and I like the loot, you can’t really just separate them and say it’s the same game.
I imagine there aren’t many RPG lovers in counter strike.
I’m saving my karma incase something crazy happens, I do like the boxes though, they’re a good price for what you can get
Dailies are not mandatory, if you don’t want to spend 5 minutes doing something different you don’t need to.
i bet you played star wars hahaha
I’ve not played any star wars mmos :p
Everything I expected and more. Super fun.
GW2 is way less buggy than many mmos i’ve played.
It’s working perfectly fine (aside the landing control freeze), this thread is misleading.
If you do any pve, you will get the dailies, if you give it a little thought you can do it in the same zone (waypoint costs are never an excuse)
If you don’t do pve you don’t need laurels.
They never list all changes.
Is it really that bad doing a little wvw :P
If you don’t want to wipe use spy kits.
Staff doesn’t gain damage from being at long range, you can use it all in melee range. Alpha will never be hard :p
It’s not difficult to get a dungeon group at all, if you’re having issues use gw2lfg
Anet are planning to implement something like gw2lfg, but it’s going to take a while to program.
I too was disappointed the dungeons were made easier. The dungeons are GW2s raids, they should be suitably difficult.
And I don’t think skins as exclusive rewards are too toxic, especially as the current explorable skins are quite pretty
Either way, people would probably be happy with a passive 50-100% magicfind (you’d probably need to gear non-mf to do the dungeon at all) would be enough of a reward to run hard mode.

This is just part one, As was said repeatedly on the forums.
I hope they fix the different region guesting, I have american friends :/
combo kills is bugged, you can refine 10 pieces of cloth for the daily, doing your killing daily near water isn’t that crazy.
It’s like complaining about kill variety when you ONLY WANT TO STAY IN ORR.
Why is everyone so impatient for gear, there’s still no content that requires ascended outside of fractals so just play for fun and the gear will come.
I’ve been playing my engi since the patch, fun times
My kit engi is melting a lot of face with my improved kits, thumbs up for this patch
People were way too powerful in lower zones. And way too weak when uplevelled in WvW.
The dungeons were nerfed.
You basically have to master the class to be similar in effectiveness to 2 button spamming classes, but at least you have the moral high ground.
It’s so much fun to play, just not for minmaxers :p You’ll still wreck people though since you have to be so good to do anything you will destroy most players.
I think rectangle skills are the ones like fire wall on focus or that earth staff cripple.
I like it, though it definitely takes a little longer the freeing up of lightning flash if you just want to churning earth them is interesting :P
I love my mesmer’s torch, every class should have every weapon.
Remember you run faster when you run forward, so if you need to escape from a bad situation, don’t strafe.
The technology exists, it’s called “make a sandbox game”. But people don’t like to think for themselves :p
I’m still not seeing any grind, I have everything I want from just playing normally and having fun.
Maybe the complainers are just impatient.
It’s a simple concept, really. I’m a different person than you. With me so far? Therefore, my experiences are likely to be different from yours. And other players’ experiences are different from mine. Therefore, while you may not be experiencing grind in your play, others like me are. We’re not impatient. It’s a matter that some of what we enjoy in the game requires farming and/or grind at times.
Again, your experiences are not the entire sum of the whole world. It is therefore illogical to assume that since one person (you) are not experiencing grind, all the rest of the thousands of players are also not.
I love this response. Well said.
In my experience, GW2 has some of the worst grind of any modern western MMO. (Post-Ascended)
Where did I imply I spoke for everyone?
Also the forums are a tiny minority of the game’s players, so they do not reflect the general population’s opinions.
I’m still not seeing any grind, I have everything I want from just playing normally and having fun.
Maybe the complainers are just impatient.
I imagine the dungeon fixes will make it a lot harder to just plow through cof 1/2 with 4 warriors
At least if the children were casting those spells nobody would get hurt, just a casual sidestep should be enough to avoid.
Aren’t dolyaks an integral part of wvw? killing them is a good thing :P
Everything Asura, best race in any game ever
Do whatever you find fun
anet got rid of the gw1 skill system because it was a nightmare to try and balance. People just ended up making the same few builds anyway.
gw2 just needs more weapons to choose from on each class, and more utilities (and elites that can be slotted into any kind of build – would be nice if there was at least one elite for each ability type, for example on my ele there is no arcane or signet elite, only transform, glyph and conjure)
Because they aren’t problems with the game.
Original mmo gamers came from the pnp rpg crowd, people with more imagination and the ability to set their own goals, nowadays that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Shame really, though I’ve not noticed the issues you’re having, I talk all the time, though my mmo veterancy only goes back about as far as anarchy online. Never managed to get into muds since pnp was better :P
Can’t really feel cheated, laurels are a pure bonus on top of the normal daily reward.
Yeah wvw really needs the best way to get badges be from actually participating.
OP, don’t be silly. A trade window would be nice, your other suggestions are kitten.
I think that Anet is trying to hard to not be like Blizzard, which sucks because WoW copies a ton of great ideas. So basically Anet shuns great ideas for the sake of their own pride vs what makes games so dang fun.
If Anet made GW2 to be anything like WoW, I wouldn’t be here, and they wouldn’t be getting my gem money.
For players like me, their strategy is working.
I am talking about features, since that is what they copy. They already have a formula in place. But let’s be honest, you play this game because it costs nothing a month.
Most games cost nothing per month, we play gw2 because its fun. It’s also not for everyone.
No game is.
I disagree with basically everything in the op, and if you want pve where you have to watch your back, that’s exactly what wvw is. There are loads of 1v1s if you are away from the main fortifications.
(edited by emikochan.8504)
well Anet did say we’d have a home instance… where’s that
I think it’d be a nice compromise if guildies could always see your map pointers/drawings and target calls
Pretty sure you can get the story mode skins from certain karma vendors in the world.
I would like to see some of these ideas used to flesh out the necromancer, good ideas but it doesn’t really fit the gw lore.
