I think all the missing classes playstyles could be replicated with a greater skill variety through weapons.

I made a mesmer and got it to 80 thinking it’d be fun soon… worst idea, should have started my engi sooner, love it as much as I love my ele.
So close to just deleting my mesmer but making portals for people is ok.. If other classes get portal, byebye mesmer.

9 seconds is not a big cooldown for a 3k heal. I played gw1.
It’s not random boonspam, they have to be aimed, they are small radius. And something with a long cooldown does not get spammed, do you even play this game?
I disagree with your definition of homogenized, trinity games are way less distinct in playstyle. When the only job of “dps” is to stay out of the fire, the combat is way more boring.
fallen, you’re incorrect, you don’t need healing to create any of those interesting fights, and they make them more boring because you have no defence if the tank is bad.
there are already healing enemies, you have to interrupt them and poison them.
Healers just mean that one person is playing whack a mole, my support engi and ele are a great boon to the party, that’s enough.
People need to protect eachother already, not just the healer needs protecting. It’s way more dynamic.
needing to search for healers/tanks for groups outweighs any positive aspect of the trinity.
We can already be tanky and supporty, forcing people into TANK and HEAL is way worse than the current system. Anet have not exhausted the potential of the current system for encounter design, not by a long shot.
I don’t see how it increases flexibility, without the need to mitigate your own damage or support your own team, dps will only choose MAX DAMAGE and blame their deaths on the healer/tank.
I like being able to switch my skills for more survivability or damage depending on the group.

I’m almost done with the salvaging and i only salvage white items. This will be easy to do in a month, probably too easy :p
Story dungeons count too, go help some new players and have some relaxing fun if you don’t want to risk not being able to do cof2 (or do cof1 again)

if you tab to an enemy and use certain attacks it faces you instantly towards them, maybe that will help ?
Too similar to existing glasses really, Adding fist/weapons to existing classes would be more likely than a whole new class imo.
Eventually with enough skills you’ll be able to access pretty much any playstyle without needing a new class.

So what is a “battle sorc” ? Ele seems to cover quite a spectrum of playstyles with only 4 weapons (and utilities) as is.
On topic, everyone should have skills for every weapon, except maybe sceptre warriors, but even then i’m sure there would be a way to make it work.

You probably should take your time with new mmos, there’s only so fast content can be made, rushing will always lead to burnout.

Granting auras is different to applying auras.
I use it to save people that are being stomped, 1200 range is pretty sweet. Would be nice if it followed targets though.
Staff 2 is an aoe blind gall, another saviour on a short cooldown, try using it together with other blinds to mitigate.
Shield rocks in wvw sieges. Hammer is great for tanking anything other than blind immune. Never found a use for the flame axe though.
The improvement of kits to exotic quality really helped.
I treat conjures like extra utilities, you summon, use and drop, its nice having one utility that gives you a leap finisher, a blast finisher, aoe blind, aoe stun and vulnerability/daze field
Your suggestions are way overpowered. And I like summoning them for my party, 2x conjures is awesome. Engineers get kits, we get something different, a couple of tweaked skills on the flame axe and earth shield is all that’s really required

10x is not more of a gamble, they use the same percentages. It might feel worse on a miss but statistically it is not different.
to be honest I think it is working, people have gone from not dodging AT ALL to at least thinking about it, and you’re at least looking at the different animations the mobs use before attacking.
I think it might be wishful thinking to have people dodging masterfully, but I think it’s an improvement.
the real question is how is a warrior even dying? trying to solo 2 champs at once? 3?
it’s still the same as before.
when you say “fairly often” you need a recorded sample size of at least a 1000 to look at the actual rng results.

extremely unlucky here, but i’m used to it, it’s the same in every game :P One of the reasons I bought gw2 was the token system, because I never got any drops in anything else (until everyone else had everything they wanted :P)
I think it’d be nice if npc’s also ressed players (like they do in wvw) would give a gameplay reason to keep them alive
I’ve never experienced this problem, but then I start conversations, maybe you should try and be social, and help people. Get into lots of dungeon groups, help people do story modes. My friends list is as populated as my guild xD

So I pay all the kids $20 each. The original kid comes up to me and says, WTF? this job was worth $80? I would have done it myself then! No I say, if you do it yourself it worth $20, if you do it with others its worth more.

warriors seem to be good in pve because they are bad in pvp (in my experience, i’m sure there are awesome warriors :P)
Buffing everyone else to warrior pve effectiveness would be a difficult task, but the one that would make most people happiest.
I’d prefer option e) Anet make dungeons more complex so you can’t just faceroll beserkers through (some high armour enemies would require more condition damage for example)
Arenanet don’t want you to feel bad when people turn up, killstealing is an archaic feature that I hope is never added to games after gw2.
And people that turn up at the end usually just get bronze, you do have to do stuff to get gold.
First they want more skill added to gain a precurosr.
Then they complain about daily dodger.kitten logic

If teaching people to dodge is a precursor for more difficult content being added BRING ON THE DODGES
