Outmanned buff is terrible and needs changing, so does the orbs.
Other problem is locking teams out of maps is just way way to easy. It get’s to point that only a miracle will allow you to break out like say the spawn camping team get’s kicked and can’t log on for 8 hours. So say a realm nightcaps all maps, when prime time comes for other servers they have no supply and facing a mountain of siege at all spawn points. GL getting out. I am sure it’s possible but most people just throw their hands in the air and go do something else for a week.
Face fact that GW2 is pay to win and move on. Pay gems to buy gold so you can purchase siege/upgrades/junk on TP. Then buy boosters to be better than others in the cash shop ftw. Lookin at currency exchange, gold is becoming more and more worthless everyday. Kicking myself for not buying more gems when they was at 18 sil.
At this point, I would rather pay a sub than this.
How can people from SoR say they are outnumbered most of the time by SoS? From what I hear there is a full queue most of the time during primetime NA.
I’m sure depending on where you were and when and different perspectives, you can come up with the feeling that you are outnumbered.
Between 12 pm -> 8 am west coast time is the dead zone on SoR. Most cases it’s outmanned buff for majority this week excluding fri/sat/sunday. There is no ques as well. If we could fill this gap, then the morning shift would not have to try to take everything back all the time. This match was decided purely on Oceanic presence: SoS has more and that’s that. I will give PRX credit though, they carried you. Make sure to thank them.

Anyways, ya could have built pults and trebs then carpet bombed them. I am fairly certain they would probably move if that happened. Throw sum cow bombs in there then rush when they are confused.

Something, anything. Even an automatic send to starting spawn after 5 mins mechanic. Growing tiresome having enemy getting intel from a dead body placed to specifially to spy.
Missin loot bags is not melee exclusive. Have over 3.5k kills so far yet I have only 253 badges on my ele. Also, since I am geared/specced for support; I can’t even tag to well since my dmg is really low. I figure if I went glass cannon…I would have double the kills and badges by now.
Use culling to your advantage like other melee do. You can run into that zerg, unload, and then get out before they even notice you are there if done right. Hell, I do this even on my squishie ‘free kill’ ele.
Btw, before you guys starting whinging and saying this is all the result of hackers: there is a bug where enemy NPCs will keep on spawning for some reason even if you control the objective.
ie. we had durious and enemy NPCs kept on spawning and over. I watched as they took out all our siege and kept the place under crossed swords for hours. Since they are elites, they would get the time needed to destroy all our junk before the two of us on watch could kill them. So this right here is what is happening. This is a BUG, not a HACK.

Man do SoS chest thump and smack talk alot. But when they start losing, boy do they like to complain.
More on topic, don’t think SoR is ready for tier 1-2. We have a major gap of around 8 hours where we do not have the numbers of Oceanics needed. So at those times, SoS zergs with almost no one to stop them. Personally, I have had to play 10+ hours a day as a NA west coast player in hopes of at least slowing them down; not working though, way way way to many Oceanics on SoS. But I had to stop; it’s just to kitten fatiguing. If I do that any more, prolly kill myself.

Done with talking to you. Nothing you say will convince me that allowing mesmers to port infinite amounts of players is a good thing despite using it myself for devastating results.

You are wrong. Ports do kill people. It’s nothing to do with dmg but being able to instantly port an infinite amount of players with ONE mesmer is where I have a problem. Add in culling issues that makes the zerg totally invisible….eh. I have participated in these and seen the results. This is a major game changing skill that only mesmers get. Why the favortism I wonder?
And as to AoE killing LOL! We had like 4+ eles raining death from above on 8 or so dudes ressing one their teamies and NONE of them went below 80% life. It was merely annoying. Now people stack their zergs and no amount of AoE can even make a dent in a zerg ball. They sit their laughing as they get tickled.
Ya having infinite cap on AoE would be OP; I will agree 100%. But 5 cap is worthless imo. How about say 8-10 cap? Yes, no, maybe?

Last night, we had 15 at most people defending against the full might of the unwashed hordes of SoS at overlook. But we only lasted maybe an hour before they pushed us out of EB entirely due to full pop vs 15 brave souls. Good fun, even then.
Then we had to take what was left to defend the orb in CD BL where I helped fight against both CD and SoS working together for 6 or so hours straight in SH. Fun!
Despite being undermanned, swarmed, and things looking bleak…SoR still fought. All I can say is I love this server. Don’t care if we win or lose as long as the fighting spirit persists.
Now if only we had more people to help against Oceanic zerg…15 people aint enough lol.
p.s. all u SoS crying hackers and blaming whole server. Laugh, sad and pathetic. If I see sploiter I will report and that’s all I can really do. It’s not like we can kill them nor vote kick them.

Only problem I have is that mesmer ports have no cap. None.
Yet as an ele I have 5 cap on everything and players can simply mitigate all that dmg by simply stacking more than the cap. This cap makes my AoE pretty much utterly worthless. More and more I am seeing enemy zergs stacking to negate all AoE. So my question is….why is it ok that mesmers have infinite number ports when I get stuck with a peasly 5?
As to thief, I personally think it’s kinda OP for them to be able to do 35k dmg in span of three seconds. I dunno man, maybe it’s just me. Oh I can avoid the dmg they do, of course! Wait….I can’t see them b/c of culling and their ability to chain stealth/perma invis. Nvm!
p.s. i run with almost 2.1k toughness and a thief last night stabbed me for 12k. I am sorry, no class should be able to hit that much especially when they aint even drawing on my screen. I can’t avoid what I cannot see™. Even if culling is fixed, thief dmg is absurb. Just sayin.

You can take out trebs on upper deck SM really easy.
Mishi has already told you a few tricks.
There is almost no treb spot that cannot be countered by either AoE or with well placed, quickly built siege.
Trust me, I have spent at least 10g trying to find that perfect un-hittable spot to drop my trebs so far and have not found one yet (still working on it :p).
Any motivated team can quickly take em down fast.
I guess that’s the trick, though; getting 3+ people to work together and do what needs to be done.

Fought for 6 hours last night with outmanned buff. Despite this, we held the line and even took stuff over with coordinated, multi target attacks to confuse their zerg. It did get dicey and we almost lost it all but we persevered until we got reinfoircements from people waking up. Truely a breath of fresh air and I enjoyed every bit of it.
Anyways, I was in a guild but most quit playing, went back to pandacraft, or moved to other servers. Have been in that guild for over 7 years, actually, so implying that I don’t do guilds is entirely wrong on that assumption.
Now have to find a new guild that I can call home…sigh. Not easy to finding the right fit.
Lol, there is no organized guilds left on HoD so I finally threw in the towel. I stuck it out for 2 weeks hoping it would get better, truley I did but…it got worse, far far worse. You can’t convince others when there is no one to convince.
Seriously, there is more bots on HoD than actual players. If you don’t believe me, how about you go check it out yourself.
And if you are so high and mighty on that horse looking down on the peons like me: perhaps you should take your guild to one of these dead duck servers and make a name for yourself. Prove to me how uber you really are. Until then, you are just as bad as I am.
Moved from server that was killed by transfers to one that is now third in this weeks match so far. Yep, transfering for the win. Wait…
Difference is this server is fighting back and actually has other players. They have not lost all hope and I am having a blast despite not being first.
That’s all I really wanted: fun fights all around with no total shutouts. It’s like a dream come true. I am sure others might agree with me on this.
So all the blame is on single people and not groupings of them like say guilds and or alliances who move in large amounts to other servers thus effecting the scores in large ways. Yes, single player bandwagoners are the problem! Not 2k member guilds moving enmass to a new place. No, that has no effect at all!
Anyways, I think the majority of players just want to fight and do well. Not get crushed totally with absolutely no chance to even fight back. So you face a choice on a kitten server that no one wants to come to with players leaving in droves; not play WvWvW for weeks on end (the only end game in GW2, I might add) OR move to another server that is better. Tough call. Tough call!
Would it not be cool to have WvWvW maps with naval combat?
Controllable small ships, frigates, dreadnoughts, subs, coastal forts with cannons, etc etc on a mostly water based map.
Can you imagine being able to have broadside ship to ship combat with boarding action to? Or even bombarding a coast with boats whilst the enemy returns fire?
This could be super fun and really set GW2 apart from the rest of the MMO pack.

30 pts in arcane atm is pretty much mandatory, at least for me.
Ability to self combo and swap attunes faster is fairly intergal to play ele with any sort of success.
And that’s the problem; we are pigeon holed into one trait line out of pure neccessity.
That is wrong and goes against ANets supposed design goals or so it seems to me.
Finally threw in the towel last night and moved; best choice I have ever made in GW2.
New server has way more people, way less bots, and generally a much more pleasant experience over all. Actually having fun again.
HoD is dead. I highly suggest to anyone left (and is not a bot, yes you the 5 guys left) to find a new home and I can gaurentee you will be much much happier. I know I am.

I run a healing support spec on my ele, so I don’t do much dmg. I crit for like 1k dmg at most; on well geared ‘tanks’ I hit for below 100 sometimes. But boy can I bring the boons, heals, and combo fields.
So coupled with the fact that ele AoE is 5 targets only and my low dmg; my badge earning is super low. Yet I have almost 3k kills now but only 201 badges.
But no matter, I bought 2 sets already that fills my spec needs from the TP for around 30g at most. Just a minor annoyance, I guess.
The big badge earners are the classes and or specs that do absurb amounts of burst dmg thus ensuring getting loots. Support specs just don’t cut it when tagging to get loot. You need like at least 1.5k dmg to even get exp.

^ and this is what people are complaining about. You can’t attack someone you don’t even see. So thus this theif harried that entire group with ease since he wasn’t even visible to them for the majority of the time. lol.

Not really so much a problem due to individual players hopping around, though that does give an impact which I agree. But you also must consider that moving say a mega guild/alliance who has over 300+ players has a much much larger effect. On the server they are going to and the one they left.
All I know is that free transfers is the major cause of problems in Wv3 on a whole and needs to be addressed in some shape or form.
All about culling, barely anyone saw him is more likely because of the slow loading and thieves ability to cycle cloaks so they never actually draw in. Not sure what the culling rate actually is, my guess is around 20 people. Any player entering a pack of that amount or more will have to wait for the enemy (or allies) to draw which at least in my case is around 10-20 seconds when there is a large amount of players in one area; thiefs can get under that using multiple cloaks thus coined as being ‘perma’ invisible.
But, anyways, not really the players fault; the culprit is culling. No suprise theives are capitalizing on an engine/server/bandwidth fault.
As an ele, if I even came close to that pack I would have died instantly. LOL!

I have played more MMOs than I could possibly list or recall but GW2 comes to mind as being one of the most bot infested games I have ever seen. And this is coming from a guy you played a few korean MMOs where botting was actually built into the core as a feature.
All I can say is that a) it is super easy to spot bots in GW2 b) all it would take is a few GMs (if there is such a thing) to go to the popular bot spots and start swinging the ban hammer.
Personally getting tired of reporting, there is just far to many bots to even keep track of.
As to more on topic about multi boxing bots, this is becoming very popular it seems.

Being chased by 20+ JQ up top in the third level of SM and suicide leaping. Moment I was downed and about to be spiked; 10 or so of them went splat shortly after I did.
Evidently, they really wanted me dead.
So much so, they jumped with me.
I rallied since I tagged a bunch of my new found fan club, then ran through 50+ of them that were milling about below, and escaped them all by running a lap around the outer wall.
Benny Hill music was playing in my mind the entire time, btw.
In Henges case, all you have left is people too stunned by the head lights of the server band wagon that left HoD last week and haven’t ran for the tall timber yet like me. Then the bots. Lots and lots and LOTS of bots.
Wv3 pop here is dead and so is the PvE.
Time to leave; server pride is nothing when there is no community left other than bots and trolls who like to talk about their kittens to no one in public chat all night long.
Not sure about rest of you but i kinda like playing with other human beings. Maybe I am weird!
Last thought. If I want small scale PvP…I would play sPvP or heck even BF3. Personally, I play Wv3 for mass PvP, period. Huge, messy fights between 100s of players or MORE on an epic scale which is what Wv3 is all about. This is what I call epic PvP; not 10 v 10 in a map like say EB, that’s…boring. Judging by the mad amount of server hoppers, others prefer it too. Actually they prefer to win with no contest, but alas we already know this.

Tell me, should I move? Sure as hell aint fun to be on a dead server that has more bots than players and getting royally stomped. Which, I might add, by some of the SAME guys that I was fighting beside a few weeks ago…

However, a part of me really wishes this was a sub game. At least that way it would provide a monetary reason to fix things. Paying customers upset? Better fix it or revenue is lost. F2P like GW2? Ah, let’s just let is slide…that would cost money to fix so don’t bother. Please buy gems tho!

peeps should pick their server for what they want 6 months from now .. not by an influx that has been 1-2 weeks old and likely to shift with the next big thing. Those who xfer off a full server because of queue times, are not much better as it doesn’t allow for settling. The xfer zerg will go to what they want, and you either ride it out or become part of it.
Anything you say now is of no importance after reading another post where you admitted moving to JQ to get into a ‘good wvwvw community’. That is pretty much saying; I went to JQ to win all the time with no effort. But I am comforted in the knowledge that if JQ starts to decline, I am certain you will move to the next best thing like everyone else does.
Choices. Suffer a dead server that might very well still be in t1 for another week or two, move, or quit. Personally, the last one is looking better and better.
It’s too funny how HoD got wrecked population wise. Seriously, only reason we stay high on the server list is cus this is bot central where there is more bots than actual players in all zones.
On that note, can a whole bunch of either SBI or JQ pls log off enmass so I can come play with the ‘pros’. Thxs!
@mord. what you and many people on JQ fail to realize is there there is next to no Wv3 players left on HoD. You can’t re-build when there is nobody here to do it with. Seriously, every single major PvP guild has left. Sides, who wants to re-build when you can transfer to one that’s already established…like say, JQ.

You will notice that other than putting up rank list, they have all but vacated the Wv3 forums. It’s almost like they…don’t…care.

It’s buy to play game after all; with P2P they would have been held accountable.
If top servers can’t get any balance, what makes you think lower ones will be any different?
Ok so people bail top servers, go to lows. Suddenly lows become highs and history repeats itself. Already people are complaining about others going to lower tiers and off balancing those match ups. Proof is already here, mutiple threads here about it.
Wv3 needs a serious overhaul in almost all aspects before we will ever see things get better. Until then it’s a total mess. Free Xfers is the biggest issue but there is others as well. I dread 2 week matches, think it’s bad now? Just wait. Lmao!
Dynamic events are one the best ways to level, however, you have to go to one the zerg servers that are doing well in Wv3 if you want those. Not only is there more players to adventure with, you also get great perks to all exp gains via realm buffs if the server is dominating.
If you go to a low pop server or one like mine where everyone bailed; dynamic events will not even spawn. I ran around kessex hills for 3 hours last night and not one event spawned. None. All there was in that zone was bots.
On topic, best to hop zones. Do all the 1-15 zone hearts then move onto the 15-25s and clear those out, etc. It is not possible to progress doing single zones unless there is a large amount of players triggering events.
Here’s how everyone else gets Wv3 map completion: move to the server that is utterly dominating. Profit. You will be done in like an hour or so.
You get nothing for being #1 In this game other then destroying the ability to play with the people you enjoy playing with.
Actually you do get advantages for being on the top server, no matter tier.
One of which is realm bonuses like say gathering increases.
When my server was doing really well, I would get an extra hit on ori nodes. This alone means I can potentially earn at a bare minimum 40 silver more per day by being on the winning server. You don’t even have to play Wv3 to get these buffs.
Add in other nodes, more karma, more loots, MORE people to play with, and generally way more money that can be earned…being top also has large monetary advantages.

If you are stuck in your spawn with no supply, barely any players, and facing a blood thirsty crew of people who simply adore to spawn camp; the odds you break out is slim. Even if you do, can’t take anything back since you have no supply. Ok so you raid supply camps, then their zerg shows up and slaughters us. Back to the spawn for me!
Outmanned buff is a joke. It provides zero advantages in combat. Yea boi! I got 33% more MF baby! That will really help us take out that 5:1 zerg camping the spawn! /pumps fist

Would not say staff ele sucks but I will say it isn’t all that good when compared to other classes who put in 3/4 effort for 2x the reward.
I really really hope they don’t put in 2 week matches cus once you are down by a large amount, there is almost no way to get back up. Then people stop queing and it’s GG. As we have seen it only takes, in some cases, a few days to determine the winner.
2 week matches will be a total disaster and will encourage even more server stacking.
But on topic, I want to see Anet officially make a statement on this matter. They said team hopping wasn’t much of a problem but I for one see it first hand how it is a HUGE concern.
How can you stop disloyal players from moving nor prove that they did? There is no way other than them actually saying it in chat which no one would unless they are trolling.
And don’t be so innocent SBI, you too have gained many new players and some even from HoD.
But whatever, people play this game for fun. I aint havin fun so what now?
