since I can’t speak for SOR, I will defend my own server. The guys u see online during EU hours aside from HB and RK (they don’t field 30 like GD just so you know), are our late SEA/OCX, a few EU guys, and some early NA. Interesting, pretty much the same huh? What a world right?

Your name means “smoking weed” in German and I really think it fits you. Even if GD fields 30 people, to be honest I don’t know how many they field, we still have less EU than BG and SoR. The guys you see online on hour EU are late SEA from Lgcy, a few EU guys from Noah and SF, my guild (we can bring 2-3 people into wvw atm) and some early NA.
On normal evenings we meet a lot of BG which should have equal numbers to us on EU now, while SoR brings Kiss, IRON (two native EU guilds) supported by a number of SoR SEA and NA. You are still at least 2v1 ahead in that timezone.

And please don’t talk about stacking, because that’s what every server in T1 and T2 tries to do. It’s plain stupid coming from SoR, when you remember getting Kiss after you got IRON which outnumbered BG and JQ EU time alone. Or getting Aco and Ward after JQ lost a part of EMP to BG and VH leaving.

I wonder if you could abuse this exploit to earn money. If the crash involved some rollback of the character (which someone said) you could have sent your stuff to a friend or 2nd account, crashed everything while your friend takes the things off the mail.

Wait.. yes, you earn your perma ban for “testing” it, even if you do it once. Why? Because there is no logical reason why someone would want to test an exploit like this.
If someone tells you “Hey, I found a code to crash your client” why would you want to use it? If you want to end your client, press alt-f4
If someone tells you “If you put this in chat you crash the server”.. no way anyone would want to test this
If someone tells you anything beneficial this code would do, search the internet before you do. If it it’s coming from a friend, get rid of that friend, because you don’t need idiots as friends.
If you really had to test it, I hope you mailed that to Anet at once if not, you earn a ban.
I wonder how many of the people testing it are trying things like putting light bulbs into microwaves or spraying water on their motherboards for cooling.

If you talk about the NA prime time fight for hills about 15 hours ago. I can lighten things up.
We had a tag from SF with 26 militia on pin and a group from EMP on the map for defending our bl. As SoR attacked hill, bg went for bay with a really large zerg. We defended both for a while, but with your ac hitting us inside lords room and couldn’t get fresh troops in the decision was made to save bay from bg and leave hills. We had lost both if we hadn’t left.

Anyone had problems yesterday with massive lag on jq bl. I once ported into hills while the fights there were going on, had a 30s loading screen and ended up at the position were i started – and had to run to hills..

Please, don’t link that to Azure, it may scare him.

We don’t have 3 EU guilds. You are misinformed. NYS is the only guild that can run 30. Every other guild (GC/SAHP/SONG) runs 10-20. Every Rallian can vouch for this. I’m pretty sure GGYY can run 30 as well. Seriously, people have argued that SoR’s SEA may have even numbers compared to BG and JQ at times, which I find is true (purely depends on NYS’s raid times), but no one has ever said SoR outnumbers JQ in SEA. Don’t be comical.

You should have at least 2 EU guilds which can field 30+. IRON and KISS and some NA guys helping out at EU time.

Im not so sure about that anymore. Your SEA is massive, you now have a big EU, and your NA has big kitten NS/Agg/SF/HzH/SG/etc zergs.

What? Big EU? How many have GD brought? 50? Our OCX and late NA should be not much more than 15-20. Yes, our Asian force is huge and I think larger than SoR’s but not much larger than those BG forces.
NA shouldn’t be much difference between SoR and JQ as we lost Ward and Aco to you while getting NS and Agg. Don’t know how much BG can sent into NA prime, but on resets it seems pretty equal between the servers.
The problem with numbers and counting is that our EU is often kept alive by early NA players or Asians which stay on longer to keep the ppt above 100. And that’s the same SoR does. I see TW often in early EU time slots, not with the whole guild, but the tags are there and it’s the same with BG, when you meet HB (EU) guys in late NA or.. me in NA prime as an EU player.

They are back. Had much fun with them the last 2 hours.
And rumors say there is an EU guild on JQ. But I guess that’s only rumors.

We are still searching for players in EU and OCX timeslot. Converting to the church of jedsus is helpful but we accept other religions too.

Wvw rank is character NOT account progression end of story, how hard is it to understand really?

Wait.. talking about easy mode. What do you think a zerg in T1 is? There is no skill involved when running with a 50 man map zerg. But you get tons of wxp, while a main part of the ppt work is done with scouting and havoc which doesn’t reward you as much (or at all).
The map zergs are cheap world xp trains – nothing less.

Which server paid for transfers and which guilds took the money?

I still hope they sometimes merge EU and NA (and get rid of language servers) and just make 3 leagues out of that.
EU wasn’t balanced at the start of the game, because timezones in EU are close to each other, so any server with people from countries +3 or -3 hours from central EU prime time would dominate. (or servers with the most players who can stay up late)
There will be no good competition in the EU bracket without massive transfers from all over the world to EU servers – and that won’t happen.

gvg is the read headed step child of gw2.

If they bring the numbers and you can’t hold the circle, everything is working as it should. I read “we farmed them with half our number” but obviously that wasn’t enough to take the keep.
They did a good job preventing the enemy from capping.

I understand that some people are kitten ed because gvg hasn’t a place in gw2. I don’t do gvg, i think it’s a stupid waste of time and is done to kitten around.
It would be nice for players who like to gvg that they could without need to go into wvw for that and get a separated map, but I think Anet makes a good job. It’s not perfect and they make mistakes (like orb buffs, bloodlust and some of the things sacrx mentioned) but there is no game out there where you don’t have things that really suck and there won’t be ever.
I still have fun doing wvw and if it’s one of those days where i haven’t i don’t log in.

I and 4 others were on our way to JQ-BL north camp, we entered and started on the camp and was responded too by about 10 JQ players. We pulled back to the alter of power and i noticed the JQ players set up and build an AC at the base of the stairs for us.

wvw points should be toon specific. Not my problem if you only want to grind the ranks once but my Warrior is a higher level because I use him more than my Necro. My Necro is only 20 something in ranks and should NOT be 50 something because it is still being leveled and not even level 30/80

Also you do NOT need wvw ranks, it is a measure of what each individual toons are doing as a progression. If you make a level 3/80 ranger and you get attacked the player will see that you are a noob as a ranger. It would make no sense to see that you have the rank of (whatever) when you have just started playing that profession.

Your argument is invalid. It’s not profession based, it’s mainly based on what you do in wvw. If you run with a 80 people zerg, you don’t need to be a good player, you can totally suck at playing your class, you get your ranks delivered faster than a skilled havoc group or someone who supports yaks and these people do stuff that is much more important.
It’s the same with the 250.000 kill achievment. You won’t get it, when you don’t have strong zerg supporting you while you grind it.

Noodles definitely needs to found more guilds. You can’t have enough tags no one remembers!

I’d really appreciate a change like this. I have 8 professions on level 80 and equipped them for wvw. But I’m still not sure to which class i want to stick for wvw. So I have 8 toons with wvw ranks above 20.
I really hoped you make wvw things account bound in a game where everything else is account bound.

I really like the idea of orbs, but give them buffs that don’t effect gameplay so much. How about a magic find buff or getting some % more xp gain or something boosters or banners can do.

Instead of making server stacking more effective, how about making zerg weaker? What about AoE hit everyone in it and the more people are affected by it the damage goes up. So if your AoE hit a group of 10, every of the ten get a 122 damage tick per sec, while with 20 hit everyone gets 244 damage per tick.

I think that whole system will fail massively with bloodlust and servers stacking more and more people.

WvW is the only game mode with a direct counter to stealth in tactically necessary situations, so this whole thread is busted. Stealth traps people. If thieves are ruining your sieges learn to drop them and problem solved. If this is an issue with personal 1v1 battles against thieves though, this is the wrong place, and frankly it is more of a personal L2P issue at that point.

Ok, we do that, while we do a slight change to thieves, nothing what hurts you really.

With next patch thieves need to pay 15 badges of honor, 525 karma and 10 supply every time they want to enter stealth. Shouldn’t be a big thing for you.

You obviously don’t know how stupid stealth traps are to use against thieves, do you?

I really checked the video from minute 33:00 to 40:00 (i was making breakfast as RATS went down south) and as the engineer of RATS doing the stream goes down, your blob leaves to the left and behind you is a large green force around a pin. If you you continue to watch that fight keeps going (on both sided of the water) until you lost 60% of your force and run through south camp after losing all but 5 of you.
If you really call that farming, I no longer wonder why BG keeps recruiting guilds.
You need every single corpse as a meat shield to cover your “farming”.

back to yesterday. Thanks to everyone involved in wvw. It was a really funny night with RATS, even on a level 23 warrior in the front line. Thanks to RET from FA and the bg guilds involved on JQ bl.
My personal highlight was the last attack on our field trebs near hills. Our zerg went to get supplies and I was eating breakfast while “guarding” the guys on the treb as I saw the bg map zerg coming down northern hills. I don’t know who the commander was, but i really felt sorry for him. He ran up to us through massive ac fire and aoe and getting killed right before my position while his zerg was at least 20 seconds behind him. If I hadn’t stopped my stream after the first part of the night, I would have made a braveheart video of this. Freeeeeeeeeeeedom! (no pun intended. I really liked that)

We hit you really hard, but normally getting hit in a pc game shouldn’t hurt your brain.

Honestly I’m not looking forward to the band-wagoners.. I kinda like SoR’s dysfunctional family-like community. Looking at the medal count, BG and JQ are much more “winning” servers with a lot more gold medals. Those wanting the easy win please go there~!

You don’t have anywhere near 40 people in WoW on one map and no lag. The last time I played a 40vs40 in WoW the whole server went down many times and people got ported out the area. (and even Alterac Valley as a completely instanced battlefield lags as hell when the zergs meet)

I wish the would fix those wvw problems instead of ascended weapons and stuff. It’s not funny fighting in a keep with two other servers involved.
