sPvP is unplayable due to massive lags with skills and rubberbanding.

Experiencing the same problem now. Everything worked well yesterday, at the moment neither my character on Drakkar Lake nor on Jade Quarry are playable.

I’m experiencing exact the same problems on both of my accounts. It takes almost a 1 second until skills are used in spvp or wvw. Playing on Drakkar Lake (DE) and Jade Quarry (US)

There is no sportsmanship in this game. I played 25 practice games today and not one was nearly fair. Most of the time it ended up in 3v5 or something like that and no one from the other team wanted to switch sides.
In practice the people don’t care about pvp, they care about winning and having “stats”.

spvp is in a really bad shape at the moment.

I really hope they made scouting rewarding in the same patch. If you have to sit in a tower or keep for an hour or two or even more while everybody outside is having tons of fun, it’s necessary to be kept entertained in any way.
With that bannering change scouts will be even more important and it won’t be any easier to find people who really want to do that as long it is as boring and unrewarding as it is.

Sick of thieves when roaming.

I run for my group, because I know that single guy coming at me isn’t alone either. Never had a 1v1 in month. If I tried, some thieves or other kittened roamers jumped at me.

I only meet thieves and warriors while roaming. I’d like to meet someone with a condition build.

Yep, and even in WoW it’s a better mechanic. You can’t stealth in combat without blowing a cd and you don’t lose your dots while being in stealth with a passive skill.
And you can get the rogue out of stealth by doing damage on him.

The video is more about server pride and a thank you to our BG members who fight to the last. I would like to see a video by JQ to celebrate its victory as well (if you have the organization to make one:)), things you do for server pride is what keeps GW2 interesting to me.

I don’t think you will see anything like that from us.
We are more the “work is done, f.. that kitten, have another beer and enjoy your time” – kind of server.
But I think someone from Hollywood already made a video about JQ. I think it’s called “fear and loathing in eb keep” or.. was it “clockwork jade”?

I am fine with it, Season 2 made me a rich happy camper.

That nice Dusk that TC Norn Warrior dropped for me during Season 2 was worth more then anything I got out of the chest when season 2 was over. Now if only there was a way to know someone from TC or JQ bought it off the TP from me that would make it all the sweeter.

Maybe you shouldn’t have whined about being the underdog before seasons, when all your guilds went to pve and EotM to buy more guilds in timezones where you already had more coverage than TC or JQ.
Maybe it would have been wise not to start flame wars or crash gvg with your again fully stacked server.

Why thieves are stupid?
You can’t beat them 1v1 if they aren’t totally stupid. You can make them run (and they will for sure come back) while they always have the chance to kill you.
2 people on same skill level will always end up thief escapes or thief wins – you can’t win.

In all my gaming history I’ve never met a class which was so annoying to fight. Anet really needs to get rid of the actual stealth mechanic.

I think EU guilds in general tends to think themselves as superior in every way since every EU guilds that came over to NA had massive superiority complex. I remember when the “best” WvW (Sarcx guild) guild came over while they were good in GvG, they got completely destroyed in actual WvW by every single SoR guild every single time. SoR guilds didn’t map blob them, they had guild commanders tell each other to back off and only let 1 guild engage them one at a time while others watched.

They are no different then NA players except the fact that EU guilds tends to be more tryhard than anything else, but no better imo.

I remember that. And that GvG between the SoR flag ship TW vs. RG and how TW totally dominated that with a 1:11 loss.
You could be a great newsreader for Fox News.

Make the season a year and see what is happening.

The weird thing with that patch is, that I sit here, drinking coffee and waiting for LA to burn while some 1000km away a real city burns. That’s so bizarre.

Necromancer downstate fear doesn’t work either. Sometimes it goes off, most of the time it doesn’t.

Engi and Ranger suffer too much from Retaliation which is again a problem brought up primarily by the guardian/warrior combo. (sure, Necro/Mesmer too)

I think it’s not the same if you run a 20+ ranger train. So yeah, warrior and guardian need some tuning. If the current zerg gameplay wouldn’t favour guardian and warrior there wouldnt be so many.
It’s not the hammer stun or any single skill it’s the combination of guardian and warrior, the cleansing, the stuns, the survivability.

With the financial problems of the US government, that would really make sense.

They created a specific sub-forum for WvW match-ups for the WvW community. The WvW community proceeded to shatter the Code of Conduct into a million burning pieces, then attempt to desecrate each piece individually. I was here posting in match-up threads fairly regularly a month or two after release. Very little has changed, except maybe that the average amount of vitriol per post has seemingly increased.

The disappointing part is that the WvW community blames ANet for “overmoderation”, when the community itself refused to abide by the rules of someone else’s house. Take some responsibility. Whether or not you agree with the rules themselves is completely irrelevant, because in this place, they aren’t your rules to write.

This forum is massively overmoderated. Threads get deleted or closed because someone doesn’t stay on topic in his post. That’s not just stupid.

If you write something about the matchup and add a “merry christmas to everyone” in that post you get an infraction. If more than one user wishes the community in the same thread merry christmas or chinese new year or something like that the whole thread gets deleted or locked.
I’m here for over a year and I never saw a really abusive or offensive post in the matchup thread which would justify an infraction or a lock.
Most infractions here a for stupid things like offtopic or people have a short chat about a 1v2 or posting pictures. (and some videos of caught exploiters which anet still fails to ban – this are at the only understandable infractions)
So yeah, this forum is massivly overmoderated.

I left Guru because of the mods there. Jumping out the frying pan into the fire.

I really don’t care if they close anything here. I got infractions for almost everything and only a few really made sense.
I mean this is a forum, there are discussions and people are not necessarily share their opinions and sometimes it gets a little harsh. But there never seemed to be a fair or strict line from the mods here.
That’s why I don’t read here anymore. (or at least pretty rarely)

Shut it down or get some decent moderators ..

What I don’t understand is why there is a problem giving the players on #1 server a permanent finisher or at least one limited until S3 starts (yes, they should be able to use it the whole 7 weeks in S2).

The problem isn’t a kittenty reward chest.
The problem is we knew it will be a kittenty reward chest, but believed that one time we could get something useful out of a kittenty reward chest for playing wvw instead of having to farm pve stuff.

I’d take a “7 weeks hardcore WvW and all I got was that lousy t-shirt” or something like that.

I play GW2 because of the WvW and the promise “Everyone, including casual gamers, by level 80 should have the best statistical loot in the game.”

I log in to play wvw for some hours and log off again. T6 mats are rare in wvw, I don’t even get rare items very often. I got 1 exotic drop in wvw after over 1 year in that game.
So I should start grinding now because of a broken promise from Anet?

I won’t equip any character with ascended armor. I did it for 1 weapon and decided not to go through that grind again for some stats.
