Oh what i did not say, i did not see any preloaded charachter. It looks like those fallback models did not work. Maybe I just dont know how they should look, but i did not see enemy, they i saw him,but no fallback model. I looked on recorded video if i am right. And yes, no fallback model.
Fallback models will only kick in if you’re pc doesn’t have enough resources available to render all things reported to your client (eg if you have a low end or old pc) which is a local issue, not serverside culling.
So this doesn’t affect the culling issue directly. It got implemented because a lot of the issues reported by players with this new culling type during the test in december actually weren’t culling related but rendering related.
For me personally it improved, I have far less often that I don’t see any enemies at all and suddenly a large group is there, now I typically see a few of them and the rest later.
I rather see some of them instead of none, so I know to hang back for a few more seconds because most likely there’ll be a lot more of them.
vitality wont make a difference as fall damage is % based…
Im sure he is beatable at the moment, but not easily for a open world boss, and a lot depends on luck, if the patches fall unluckily there isn’t going to be a safe spot so only those of the right class and build will survive, which is not something a public boss should require.
Isn’t falling damage based on the height and the % only based on your character level?
So if you have higher vit and heal up from taking any other damage you have a better chance of surviving due to more hp?
I agree with others though that the response time you have can be increased by giving a better visual cue or something like that. I just hope that with all the complaints about it he doesn’t get nerfd back into oblivian again that’s why I post that I like the challenge and why, to balance out the public opinions on these boards
Give it some time, get used to the new mechanics, know when to look where during the fight etc.
I’m glad that it’s finally a challenge because it’s supposed to be GW2’s endgame content, somewhat a version of what are raidbosses in other games, but just not instanced.
But I agree the time you have to dodge could be increased just not so much that it’s back to very easy again.
My experience with tough raidbosses in other games is that it looks impossible at first but once you’ve learned the dancesteps, have beaten it and everybody knows what to do you’ll beat it every single time and start doing it undergeared / with alts.
There’s already plenty content that’s easy enough for everyone to beat without having to pay attention too much so I’m glad that this boss is finally hard now. -50% falling damage trait, toughness / vit build and food, having some players play dedicated support during the fight are all things that can help.

Here is what I dont understand. From GW1’s twitter:
Guild Wars ?@GuildWars
A reminder that the Canthan New Year starts Thursday at noon Pacific (GMT -8) and ends on Thursday, February 7 at noon Pacific (GMT -8) ^SLThat was posted 10 minutes ago. Look at that everyone, specific times with conversion to GMT. Why is it so hard to do for GW2? I dont think we are being unreasonable at all in wanting to know when an update is going to go live.
Because the Canthan New Year is a seasonal event only that also has been around for several years and hasn’t changed all that much if at all? Can’t compare that to a bigger patch.
I prefer the method A.net uses that doesn’t involve downtime for patches other than the fast download and no patchnotes with a lot of things that are taken out last minute.
In too many games I’ve played over the years there was always a time that the servers would be taken down to apply the patch and often include maintenance, then a long wait for the servers to get up again only to see that a lot of the patchnotes and otherwise communicated changes were taken out last minute; including nice features that were working fine on the public testserver and everyone was waiting for.
Yes I’m sure that also the pvp teams worked only on guesting apart from 5 minutes per day. Nobody in any of the multiple teams of the studio did anything else (except 5 mins. per day) at all.
There is an insane amount of areas just in Tyria that are not even open yet.
Fire island to the Cyrstal desert to Maguuma jungle to the Shiverpeaks! So much content! I would honestly like the above 4 areas to be added as free content since they were originally part of the Tyria continent.
Same, and prefer Shiverpeaks first so I can go home (proud Far Shiverpeakean since BWE1).
Yes I’d pre-order the minute it’s up, and a DDE again if it would have one.
I like longterm goals / rewards like the titles and for example legendary weapon because it actually feels like an accomplishment instead of being handed out a title or rewards for everything you do.
But I understand there’s people that play games mostly for rewards like that so a mix of short term goals and long term goals would be nice to keep everyone happy.
It’s a bit of a dead horse though as it’s been stated so often on these boards and they already announced they’re going to implement changes to rewards and progression in WvW. So I would just wait and see what the feb patch brings in changes to that and if it’s still not easy enough for you to acquire you can always create a new post to complain.
(edited by holska.4127)
And still PvP players complain the most and cause changes for all PvE players.
I can see where you’re coming from if you have experience with other mmo’s where this is indeed very often the case.
But in GW2 there’s a tech in place where they can make changes only for PvP or only for PvE without affecting the other (some skills already have slightly different version in sPvP than in PvE and this was also already the case in GW1).
Recently in a dev post where they also talked about balance they did however state that they like to keep them the same where possible so a class doesn’t play completely differently in PvP than in PvE so players can switch between different gaming modes and still play in the way they’re familiar to.
Indeed imo the red arrow thingies both visual in the gaming world and on the minmap are sufficient. With tons of effects I’m still able to identify them unless they all die on top of eachother in which case it’s best to rain some more AoE on em to finish off anyways.
The December culling ‘fix’ didn’t actually fix anything, you just made the culling different. It is/was still rediculously rampant.
So no actual fix or even progress on culling for the January update, got it.
You got that wrong then or didn’t fully read.
No it isn’t permanently fixed / removed yet but there is progress:
New culling method that was triald has been improved by combining it with fallback models to improve asset loading times, because the issues some players reported with the culling method were actually asset load related and not culling.
It’s already an improvement to the current version, and they did some groundwork for future updates to it and keep working towards the goal of completely removing it.
It is progress, maybe not as big as you like due to your impatient nature, but progress nonetheless.
What you suggest discourages grouping / helping other players and goes against the design philosophy of the game.
I love how everybody in GW2 gets rewards for contributing which eliminated kill stealing / griefing etc.
It was more or less like than in GW1, you was sharing the loot / monetary gain with your party so it was most profitable to run with as little people you were able to complete it with. GW2 system is like the opposite of it.
I understand your PoV because in other mmo’s with a first comes first serves basis for tapping you get full loot which might be good on tougher bosses that have a chance of good drops, but actually I prefer how it works in GW2 and don’t see your suggestion as improving on the system already in place.
But it would be good if champions were given a better chance of a good drop overall compared to a normal mob.
(edited by holska.4127)
That would be extremely hard to balance unless you like a solo’er being able to easily wipe your whole large group you’re gathering together for taking bigger objectives.
T1 servers at this time largely do not have any queues, except once a week at match start. Certainly Jade Quarry, the server I wish to transfer to, does not. Even on servers that are packed, there are not so many who are committed WvW players.
Not at the moment no, but if so many WvW guilds from all tiers transfer to the same few servers you’ll have servers full of of WvW committed players. So after the transfers are done there will likely be massive queues, simmilar to at launch which means you won’t even be able to play with your guild because everybody’s queues pop at different times.
All this is going to do is stop children from transferring to other servers. Any adult won’t think twice about paid transfers unless they are homeless and playing from a coffee shop.
I’m an adult with a fulltime daytime job but wouldn’t be able to afford weekly to bi-weekly transfers which has become the standard for some players.
Not that I would want to transfer but if for some reason my server would become deserted I would only transfer 1x and check candidate servers through guesting.
Of course it doesn’t stop transferring altogether but a lot of players (incl. adult mmo veterans) will do so far less frequently than they’re doing with free transfers.
Could be they are introducing ascended amulets and infusions only for those new tokens, so the FoTM grinders wouldn’t have grinded in vain.
I doubt that because they want to provide players with the same type of rewards regardless of playstyle and content like for example with the karma pool and RNG for basically all loot drops anywhere.
Maybe they keep a slightly better version exclusive to FotM or with a different more popular stat distribution simmilar to dungeon armor vs orr temple armor.
At least that would make sense to me, after all the progression is still there in the increased difficulty level and they could add some other unique rewards that aren’t basic needs like gear.
Guild upgrades are indeed per server, if you look at the upgrades tab it also shows eg. Far Shiverpeaks influence if you’re on Far Shiverpeaks. It’s like a reputation system for the server.
If a few members of your guild transfer to say Underworld, they’re still in the same guild and will start earning Underworld influence.
You then have a multi server guild with separate influence pools and upgrades on both servers.
Yup gonna be delicious seeing the qq about how they grinded FotM and now everybody can acquire it relatively easy (depending on cost).
When the whining started with the implementation of the ascended gear it’s also one of the things I posted in reply to the complaints that it was only acquirable from 1 place.
A.net had already stated it would be added to other parts of the game as well and more items would be added so I told them it would be stupid to grind for them now and I would be lmao when I would just acquire it through normal gameplay only a couple months later.
A common counter argument was that you needed it now already to stay competetive in WvW about which I laughed again and to date I didn’t get roflstomped by anybody, regardless if they had best ascended you can get atm and legendary or if I was on any of my 2 mains in full exotics or an alt in rares / green combo.
Hoping it will be some of the same whiners I already discussed with so I can quote myself for a change and laugh even harder.
(edited by holska.4127)
I think they’re fine because everybody can get them. Food buffs are basically required (at endgame or open world’ish pvp) in almost every mmo so I’m used to it; and I think they’re a nice tool to help compensate some stat or effect losses you may have or otherwise complement your build.
The non-food consumables are fun the way they’re implemented, some might need another balance pass but I enjoy them and see them as a more fun equivalent to what other games have in the form of clickies on gear items.
Where’s the engineer, we’re awesome :O and hard to kill if bunker spec’d (not just tankcat spec’d, but for reference, there’s a well known nice vid about that spec on youtube and a good thread about it in the engi subforums).
I know some may have almost choked laughing for me mentioning this class for the list, but seriously I hardly loose any 1v1 although I’m a mediocre player and I love playing bait pulling a large group and surviving when a large fight gets stagnant.
We pretty much owned FS borderland this evening, just too bad we can’t keep doing this more often, that’s the difference between the servers, FS got simply enough ppl to take any keep in any borderland in anytime.
That’s grossly exagerated, I’ve had many moments during the weekend where I went to a BL (incl. UW BL) due to a queue on EB and didn’t see more than 2 other FS players and we held maybe 1 supplycamp. I know that doesn’t last long but that’s due to organization, not numbers to cover all maps.
Moving commanders and therewith other players to other BL’s means we have less players elsewhere and are likely to loose stuffs there. Same applies to you guys, you can also go and take any keep in any BL making the same sacrifice but possibly with more dramatic outcome because you do have less active WvW players than us currently, but aren’t massively outnumbered.
The moment we or FR put a fight in EB, you just go for the BL… indeed good, you’ll win and you’ll win by a lot. But when the faction with the biggest numbers rely on guerrilla tactics, you know they’re bad and cheap.
That doesn’t explain why we still have a queue on EB if supposedly our masses went for the BL from EB?
And why you guys are suddenly complaining about numbers and such when we still have the same queues as a few weeks back when you were all still positive about us?
Hate much because you can’t stand loosing anymore and try to blame it on numbers now?
Yes we might have gained a few but I also see a lot less of you guys around so maybe you should look at your own server’s population and take that into account as well? You might have actually less active wvw players around than a few weeks back which makes you perceive we have grown gigantically?
(edited by holska.4127)
All that I have to say is a big congratulations to FS for somehow acquiring the massive numbers. I hope you get out of the tier soon so that we can finally have good fights again with servers that have the same numbers as we do.
The question is did we acquire massive numbers or did your server drop so many players?
I’m asking because the queue’s are the same as they were the 2nd week we were in this tier and y’all we’re still positive about how balanced the matchup was.
The latency issue is waved off too lightly in the OP. Just that for many players it has been proven to not be an issue doesn’t mean issues are non-existent.
I know for a fact that it will affect my gameplay like it did on every other game I tried it since 1999. It’s also one of the reasons I avoid PvP and raids in games that have global servers based in NA.
My ISP which has monopoly in this area has dodgy routes to NA gaming servers. For example in lotro my latency increased from 15-25 because the servers were located in my country to 85-150 (almost consistently over 100) on NA servers. Not a problem if the latency is stable but it kept varying so much that it lead to huge packet drops in all games I played causing skill lag and more regular d/c’s even within small instanced environments like a raid.
Not that I would be interested, I’m loyal to my EU server FS but should I change my mind with regards to transfers in general, I wouldn’t even try an NA server due to my bad experiences with every other game out there.
(edited by holska.4127)
It’s what happens when Anet equates WvW to PvE rather than PvP. Hopefully this gets fixed asap, don’t get your hopes up though. Maybe they even thinks it’s a good idea, who knows.
I don’t think it’s a bad idea either. WvW is like A.net’s implementation of open world pvp. In the classic open world pvp mmo’s you can often also use all your PvE tools when fighting others. Those items are available to everyone, they might be OP compared to skills / other consumable items that work in WvW but they’re not unbalanced because everybody can get them.
Yes it’s a massive messup BY THE PLAYERS.
Good decision by A.net, announced long ago now finally going to be implemented.
I’m on FS since the 1st BWE and not considering leaving, not even now it’s my last chance to do so for free.
The migration going on would’ve happened anyways, a bit slower yes but with the same end effect. It’s not like people now transferring off you server would’ve stayed if they would’ve stayed free.
(edited by holska.4127)
We (FS) came into this tier in week 50 and the current matchup is the 5th week we’re here changing into the 6th week this coming night:
wk 50: FS – UW – ROF 15-22 dec
wk 51: FS – UW – ROF 22-29 dec
wk 52: FS – UW – Dz 29 dec- 05 jan
wk 1: FS – UW – Dz 05-12 jan
wk 2: FS – UW – FR 12-19 jan
I agree with OP. Server transfers has never been a problem. Most hardcore WvW players agree on this. Most of the people who complain about it are casual players.
The server balance has been getting better and better… why fix something that’s not broken? and ruin it in the proccess?
Don’t try to speak for a group of players, it’s your opinion not of the majority of hardcore WvW players. It’s also laughable if you consider easymode fairweather players that are serverhopping hardcore. Hardcore crybabies yes that don’t want to put in any effort to build a community, reputation and actually work for getting high ranking instead of just transferring to a server that already did that for you.
The main issue with WvW has NEVER been people switching servers or guilds leaving. This is a GOOD THING because it adds diversity in your matchups.
It ruined servers and the sense of community in the progress.
It’s for example why my server went from t1 to t7 (after having been in the 2nd place in t1 consistently for many matchups).
Also if you even were around for some time you would’ve seen that one of the major complaints about WvW has always been the free server transfers, only second to the culling issue and the whining about thieves.
If you want to transfer intelligently don’t use this guide, there’s too many things just not counting for every server in the mentioned tiers, it’s just a generalization which really isn’t true for all servers. Just 1 example (coz I can’t be bothered to write more as I’m at work): I’m in t7 and we have queue’s for EB at primetime and weekends, regularly also queue for at least 1 BL.
But u guys constantly trebbing Quentin/Durios 4 the “fun” is just lame imo.
We gotta keep our veteran trebbers in shape and train some new ones in the process
I haven’t been in WvW this week all that much yet and when I was I was very tired due to crazy busy times at work but I don’t think our guys / gals would do it just for fun, we might be doing it to keep them open at all times because we consider them ours or to distract some of you guys who aren’t aware yet we had been trebbing for so long, I don’t know. But for fun? Nah firing a treb at same position gets old pretty fast when it comes to the fun factor.
Actually group speed buffs are more useful for the scenario you mention. On ele I always in between stop running so the last in the group / zerg catch up to me and use the staff swiftness buff to keep the group as compact as possible.
Same with the mesmer focus skill.
On engi I can choose to pop my elixir B and regularly throw the toolbelt version of it into the group which has a chance only to give swiftness to those affected.
On ranger I have warhorn slotted as secondary weaponset to give group swiftness as well, as soon as we approach a battle I change my secondary weapons to something more useful for the type of fight.
You can do that on warrior as well, what’s wrong with swapping weapons / skills on the fly? On engi I do this all the time, when defending or fighting a zerg in a somewhat stationary fight I use different elite and utilities so the first thing I do when running inside a structure to defend is run so far in that I get out of combat and can swap my skills / build.
Nobody in the WvW community wants that. That line story event sounds kind of shady.
I’m somebody and spend the majority of my time in WvW, but I like big PvE bosses in my WvW so you’re not speaking for everybody, just avoid using that terminology and just provide your own opinion because that’s what it is nothing more nothing less.
Doesn’t mean they need to be there semi permanently but what’s wrong with seasonal / other one-off event bosses in WvW if the majority of players would else go to PvE to participate in the event content there and ignore WvW for at least some hours altogether?
(this is esp. notable on non-hardcore WvW servers like the one I’m on, during halloween and lost shores events WvW was deserted when we normally have queues).
I have fond memories of another game where during a beta event the GMs released raid end-bosses into the PvP zone and both factions fought eachother as well as the raid boss. That was a lot of mayhem and fun, an epic long battle as well.
(edited by holska.4127)
That would also require a rework of how the events work out. Else you can build a treb, fire once at everything in range and get your rewards from all the events that either completed or failed (much like events in pve where you get rewards for something you hit 20 mins. ago or shooting a dolyak 1x and still getting gold reward). Then you still didn’t contribute to your team.
(edited by holska.4127)
Good to see we’re still keeping the tradition of daily new whine threads about the JP.
Too bad this one isn’t original either, they generally come in 2 variations:
1. qq about being killed there (well duh it’s a pvp mini dungeon that caters to small group play in an open’ish environment and camping / ganking + king of the hill style)
2. they’re taking up our precious EB slots (if there’s fighting in htere, this usually involved enemies as well, so you don’t like me keeping 5 enenemies busy in there solo so they have 4 less players than us to defend objectives on “the real” map).
Please come with something original next time or post in an exisiting thread.
oh come on guys , it’s just his funny reply to that
http://prx-guild.com/news/articletype/articleview/articleid/154/seafarers-rest-simply-the-best
Odd sense of humor… Not seeing anything remotely funny in the post just arrogance.
I can’t help but think that this is a developer trying to nicely state they don’t want to show stats because it may show just how badly classes are imbalanced both statistically and by %. This is also culimated by ANET not delivering on any promises of change.
Conspiracy theory much. So already prior to launch they decided not to implement that feature at all because they knew they were going to release an unbalanced game and wanted to make sure it would stay that way?
When you think about pvp it’s usually one of the features you consider if you want to implement it or not. They chose not to and provided the reason for it.
You may not like it but that doesn’t mean they’ve got bad intentions in regards to class balance or players finding them out (they can anyways, nothing prevents you from keeping stats yourself as a group of players).
The ANET team has done well as far keeping the game lively with seasonal events, what they have done poorly on is actually addressing core gameplay issues. (Rendering issues, class balance / imbalance, WvW)
They stated that’s what they’re focusing on for the jan / feb / march patches and also provided reasoning why they first focused on the events, though not in the post you quoted no, but it might be wortwhile using a search every now and again.
So at this stage your point is moot because you’re too late to the ball and it’s what they’re actually working on now. You might keep yourself stuck in the past if you’re so inclined but it might be better to focus on the (near) future instead.
And so while I can appreciate the above post, it offers nothing constructive to me as an experienced player. Why post about ‘not wanting to change the way people play’ when you pigeon hole them into certain class archetypes, dagger dagger elementalist, dagger dagger thieves, the readers know the drill.
I’m not pigeon holed, on ele I play exclusively staff, on engi I’m using a bunker spec that isn’t tankcat and still does decent enough damage to be effective. And those are my 2 main characters since the 1st BWE.
And if your not willing to do this, simply don’t post at all.
They did answer some of the questions though and others they stated they couldn’t comment on it. Again you might not like it but it’s still an answer which is better than silence imo.
Also you’re basing that whole judgement on 1 post in a thread with several more dev posts? Reeks of a single-issue campaign.
p.s. Whole zerg trying to grab supply? Place a mesmer portal on the supplies and see them all port away. grin
haha yeah there’s a lot of folks that will always take any mesmer portal they see, or even wait at the starting pad when the end pad hasn’t been placed yet.
Yesterday I brought my nab mesmer to WvW the first time and when we did a quick run to recap and stock up on supply while sieging up bay, I placed the starting pad on top of the hill so we could all port back as one group faster after capping (the lord had his buff).
When I looked over my shoulder during the boring fight I noticed 10’ish people not jumping down but standing waiting for the portal to go up so I placed the end pad anyways :s
It’s basically a different game mode inside WvW that caters to small group fights and camping/ganking style in on open’ish environment.
Because WvW is A.net’s version of open world’ish pvp I’m fine with how they’re designed, less camping/ganking on more focus on the large scale battles in “the real” wvw environment, yet still having the option for those that don’t like sPvP short matches but rather stay in an open’ish environment that’s affected by gear etc. (eg. not balanced).
A possible improvement however would be to make them separate instances and not count towards the WvW population, yet still keep them connected, eg. you’ll have to re-queue (or add a wvw lobby to the game with WvW relevant services and return to there) to get back to “the real” WvW fight.
We do need to make sure ascended gear is obtainable in WvW, but other than that I think we’ve mostly made it so you never have to leave WvW if you just want to play there forever. Feel free to point out why I’m wrong about that
There’s 2 things I feel somewhat prevent me from staying in WvW only.
1. There’s only very few skill points to be obtained in WvW outside gaining levels. If I level a character through WvW only I have my utility and elite skills unlocked much later than in PvE where there’s several skillpoint challenges on every map.
For example my lvl31 mesmer only has 2 utility skills unlocked yet in the row that costs 6 SP each (and that only because I went out to PvE to collect some to be able to unlock portal earlier), and only has the mistfire wolf elite from the DDE of the game.
2. Monetary gain and/or crafting materials. One could argue that if you only stay in WvW you only need money for repairs and upgrades and I’m currently able to afford that through WvW only. But food buffs is something I feel somewhat are required these days as well, especially if not in full exotics yet. Buying them from TP I can’t afford at the rate I consume them and collecting crafting materials (omnomberries) I have to go to Tyria because there aren’t enough available on the WvW maps and I feel I’m a liability if I go around gathering crafting mats instead of contributing to the fight.
138 only. Shortly after launch I used all of them to stock up on BP’s and since then I bought 4 weaps, the leg gift, some armor and several jewelry pcs.
In my book it’s no exploit or abuse. Just because it’s a pet people make up things like pets can’t walk up walls? Well I don’t think IRL pets spawn out of nowhere when you “summon” them either, I usually see a dog / cat whatever approach and not just be there instantly…
For me it’s just the same like any other targeted skill like ele AoE, engi supply crate etc. Mesmer clones are a bit different but still very simmilar as well imo.
Bluescreenterror.2351As an austrian … what language do your friends think, we speak xD ?
Cruzyo.7304:bayrischer dialekt :P
Yup ossies and austrians are very simmilar I was told
oh god … 3 german server in one tier … flame war inc xD
hehe nicely balanced, probably around same number of Hartz IV, same amount of Feiertage (not that there are any next week but if it stays like that for a while, germany has a lot more bank holidays than for example my country), same player mentality, same language (on international servers language can be a barrier to organisation, like the big russian guild/alliance that was on our server at launch, they didn’t communicate in english at all not even their commanders when randoms were following).
dude there are playing other nationalities on DE server too – im from Austria – others are from Italy or Swiss. Hartz IV is just in Germany but sure in Austria there is unemployment benefit too! And btw I have a job!
BUT here take a look!
A statistic about the unemployment rates…
austria just 4,5%
germany just 5,4%I dont know from which country you are but exept you are from Luxembourg (5,1%) there is no less rate then Austria and Germany.
I hope nobody will call us HartzIV-receiver again -.-
There are not that many german speaking nations and I expect they have around the same representation of those countries on the servers.
I wasn’t calling anyone Hartz 4 recipient and wasn’t implying there’s a higher unemployment rate, just wittingly stating (making use of some common complaints / flames in this and previous topics regarding german servers) it’s more balanced than on an international EU server on which A LOT more countries are represented than on a german language server.
I know there’s also austrians and swiss on those servers but I also know most of my german colleagues repeatedly state that austrian’s aren’t really talking german and they often don’t understand them
Before you get mad again, I feel I can make this type of jokes because half of my collegues is german (they earn a lot more money if they work here because germany doesn’t have a real minimum wage but we do + added the tax advantage) and I live 6km. from the german border, furthermore I also make jokes about my own country don’t worry (we’re wooden shoe wearing, potsmokers who carry tulips around).
oh god … 3 german server in one tier … flame war inc xD

no point holding UW back really, but youd need what 18k to get back to keeping blue position, good luck, only thing is whether you hold dza back or let them move up so we get FR.
promise ill be sleeping when reset happens :P
I’m fine with red position I just prefer another opponent :p
Holding UW back means slightly bigger rating gain for Dz because it’s relative to this week’s rating in the tier matchup. Dz has much higer ranking than UW so are expected to crush them, the less the point lead on UW the less rating they gain.
I honestly dont know how some people are even making positive gold in WvW, its only possible only if your not upgrading anything or buying no siege at all, in which case, u are no asset to WvW atall.
I’m a random player (in tiny guild), I regularly buy the smaller upgrades for towers/keeps and any/all upgrades for supply camps, I still make gold though only around 1-2G per evening.
Siege I don’t need to buy, I’ve run the JP daily since launch and shortly after launch I spent all my badges and my first earned gold to stock up on BP’s, had some random dropped BP’s as well so I still have plenty for now (including some superior ones).
Around 1-2G per week I deposit in guild bank for when we claim a keep (which is basically every week) because I feel the guild that claimed it needs to buy the upgrades and pop the guild buffs when needed. But often somebody else buys an upgrade which saves me some money again.
The only thing I need to get from PvE to sustain my WvW is omnomberries for food but that doesn’t cost all that much time because there’s resource maps on the webz.

Ranik had like 40 point ticks this morning (6 am in germany) with us (MS) ticking at about 550. Seems like some of our guys had much fun this night ^^
Can’t remember the exact numbers….did a screenshot but can’t access it at work.
