I believe the match-up would be quite different if BPBL didn’t had that connectivity issues. It’s just sad that no one can do kitten there because of lag and dc’s.
It happens to us too so that’s not really an excuse.
I think what they mean is that there would be 33% more “playable terrain”. More opportunity for 1 side being shorthanded. I see what they mean too… this is the first time it felt to me atleast on BP that WvW was a little bit … crampt. I dunno if it’s partly b/c of the addition of the CONQUEST Ruins too … but it feels more crowded right now in T4 than it did when I started playing on CD in T1/T2 @ launch.
(edited by ilr.9675)
71% of whatever melts to a zerg in 1 second is ….. 1.71 seconds.
Yah, gratz … enjoy your 60 sec cooldown on it while I’m playing Guardian and moving OUT of the dozens of lovely red circles with the help of Stability that’s up every 10 seconds
I think you’re jumping the gun a tad..
No it’s definitely going to be apathy city around here in 10 hours…. like the poor kid on christmas watching all the great toys every other kid in town got
“Mommy? Why does Santa hate me?”
Surly there is no Dev playing Ranger
Watch the stream,
Robert Hrouda was the last dev who played it (and he was mostly BearLongbow).
(edited by ilr.9675)
this is a total lie and shows you don’t play this class … …even the part about evades (which have animations twice as long as their actual Evasion tick)
A wild PvE scrub appears!
Yeah I just got this game yesterday. I guess my 4381 hours on the ranger class and my Champion Hunter title means really nothing about my knowledge of the class.
It must be hard getting carried, thinking thieves are the bane of our existence. Thieves need buffs if anything.
IDGaF how many hours you have. When say we got the best condition removal, it’s a lie
And if you think our Evades are good then you need to play a class with REAL invulnerability (or atleast distortion)
This to the nth degree. Too bad the one guy who actually played Ranger AND KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT got fired. Morons in charge, there are. I have a feeling we’ll have our day soon enough, especially once the Ranger numbers dwindle. Because then one will play Ranger in dungeons, fractals, etc to see what we’re talking about, and scream “HOLY kitten THEY’RE UNDERPOWERED!” before fixing us. But by that point, “it’s too late to apologize. It’s too late.”
Their numbers in PvE had already slipped to last place alongside Paragons and it was repeatedly pointed out to Murdoch and Stumme who even acknowledged the fact but never did any followups like they said they wanted to do…. Both of those Gw1 Devs actually got reassigned to GW2 during its beta because there was a huge time crunch and NCsoft had just changed majority stockholder control and started forcing it out before it reached that famous point of “When it’s Ready”
They said there are some situations in PvE where it’ll be useful, but yeah it’s mostly for PvP. The only place I can think of in PvE is the boss in the jungle fractal.
There’s also Champion Jesters during the Chan Escort. ….Basically your stupid kitten Zerg will always lose target of the Jester and just assume it died whenever it stealths. ….And unlike most mobs, it won’t just stand there idle until its stealth runs out. No it will literally change targets to the helpless stupid NPCs and walk right into the middle of them and drop its Sticky carpet-bomb cluster all over them causing the event to fail instantly.
It’s probably the most egregious example I’ve ever seen of Anet accidentally making superior A.I. and a really challenging openworld event. It’s the kind of mechanic they SHOULD have put in the Tequatl & new TA path instead of griefable Turrets, more GEAR/DPS checks, and playing the hardest-to-catch schoolgirl an anime minigame with an Ooze monster.
^That (is exactly what I was referring to…. If it was only 240, I would never have made an Ascended LB in the first place).
Offtopic: Anet should hire Swiftpaw & Phoebe to come in and do all the emergency repairs on Ranger that the current devs don’t know how to do. They probably wouldn’t make the class accessible to all the facerollers who play Warrior & wvw-thief, but it would be a huge improvement for the rest of us who understand the fundamentals of the class better than Anet does: The time it took for Karl to find Companion’s Defense = LULZ
Maybe it’s only my build, but I don’t have trouble with many classes in WvW. Currently running 30/0/30/10/0 with dire gear, signets, bird pets, SB/A+W and Svanir’s. It feels good to take chip damage from players in berserker’s gear. Mesmers and necromancers still give me trouble—could be an issue of skill or inexperience on my part
Even stungank Bunker warriors are still having problems with those 2 so it’s not just you
(edited by ilr.9675)
…DPS mesmer throwing down feedback at the right time and reflecting the life drain back onto his face? I tend to favor the latter.
In fact, I don’t even know if a mesmer can still feedback the life drain. It’s been a long time since I ran arah and forgot if they changed any of Lupi’s mechanics.
It’s usually only the Snot missiles in Phase 2 and the “Shotgun blast” from his hand in Phase3 that gets reflected. Our whirling axe can reflect both, but the problem with doing that in Melee is that we have to run Offhand Training instead of martial b/c our reflect “globe” is no where near the size of a Mesmer’s so his projectiles tend to just path right through our normal sized whirling.
There’s also the fact that by positioning ahead of time for it, all we’re doing is inviting a double PukeBubble roll in the AI scripting which even some experienced teams can get caught off guard by. (Last time I melee’d Lupicus, we had no guardian, the mesmer died early, and I had 90% of his aggro … good thing I was running Dagger instead :p).
I don’t understand why you would force conditions in pve. I’m really confused. In dungeons, if you need more toughness, add some knight pieces into berserker gear. Please, don’t take a condition ranger with, ew, axe mainhand? Seriously? You’re asking for trouble in my opinion.
Chopps gets a lot of crap in the dungeon forum but he’s dead on here and you should take it to heart, sam …. consider this a consensus
…Regarding Axe mainhand: I’ll run it myself one day when Anet gets their <adolescent feline here> together and actually makes it bounce off the walls behind the boss (and duh… hit the boss 2 or 3 times like a “ricochet” should)
Shortbow: only time I ever use this is when stacking with Grast to kill Colossus … or killing Scarlet’s Foreman. Greatsword or LB is always better in every other dungeon path.
(edited by ilr.9675)
Define Effective…
openworld PvE ? ….already is.
Everything else? No there is not a way.
And honestly I hope it stays that way.
(I’m only here for the Hardmode aspect … every little problem pointed out about this class makes me giddy with pride. I celebrate its continued dysfunction & impracticality)
Why are you so mad about questions? Just be patient, everything will get revealed tomorrow.
You’re right, my Bad…. We’re still waiting on the fine print where they sometimes list the nerfs. (assuming they won’t be unlisted stealth nerfs like the barrage nerf was)
Um, no, simmer down there pistol pete. During the livestream, someone asked this question. The dev answered it on the air, saying “that’s a good question, no it cannot be dodged”. This was new information so I posted it here.
Right …. people ask stupid questions in streams. This is news HOW??
I saw a GOOD question get asked though about 1H sword chain.
Funny how they always ignore that one smart question…
Odd that people focus so much on the 1v1 aspect when the reality is, in high level play
Which is exactly where people already complain too much about Ranger being viable. … so going by your own admission here, Anet is incapable and grossly negligent at carefully targeting where their changes are supposed to have a real effect. IOW: This is a bad patch patch overall for everyone, not just PvE/WvW ranger
(edited by ilr.9675)
- Pet and spirit health is increased by 71%. This is a pretty big thing.
No it’s not because their exact words were “ALL minions” increased by that amount.
…mostly to put them all on par with Mes Phantasms who got that buffs months ago
We’re exactly where we always were with every other class that has minions/turrets/etc
And let’s not forget their “Support skills for Pets”…. Sylvan Hound pathetic 1K heal to go with its pathetic +regen. WHY would I EVER take that over Wolf howl that easily prevents a 20K damage spike by fearing their Midline?? (usually right into my guild’s Heavies who then Hammer cleave them for 20K instead) …. and before anyone even asks how I got the wolf back there …. GUARD … it stealths AND protects it and is pretty much on Permanent activation b/c unlike terrible Sic’em, it’s only got a 15 sec C/D
(edited by ilr.9675)
is a shout
This
I can’t believe you actually made a thread for this Chopps
…props for being such an optimist I guess, but come on man….
When was there EVER a precedent in the entirety of GW’s history where this sort of mechanic would normally be blocked or dodged? … You’re justifying on a qualifier that has never existed. And the vast majority of comments are all still 100% focused on the duration… it’s really really really short… duration (which had to be applied BEFORE the target stealths meaning that all they have to do is wait a few seconds if they were planning to use a stealth that was on a long C/D)
too meandering and verbose to bother reading… next time you ask a question,
plz ask the question where the question icon is
Yes it does … and don’t forget it’s damage was stealth nerfed in half this summer
I still didn’t watch the video, anyone can tell if the reveal will be applied on cast or on pet hit in the target?
It’s applied on cast.
What this means, is if the target is already stealthed, you waited too long.
You have to use sic’em before they stealth like it’s a debuff … a pointless … 4 second … debuff
stick a fork in it folks
…think I’ll definitely be making Ascended Armor for my Guardian first now even though my ranger was the one who really really really needed it….
We have weapon-based evades and some of the best passive condi-clenses in the game.
this is a total lie and shows you don’t play this class … …even the part about evades (which have animations twice as long as their actual Evasion tick)
Kill the thief in 4 seconds or die…
Basically this… and it’s actually 2 seconds b/c the Thief has 2 dodges to use still.
(edited by ilr.9675)
warrior stun duration has been nerfed (warr has been slightly nerfed overall)
It wasn’t Nerfed.
There was a glaring coding mistake … the bug is being fixed
Well they are Fixing the stun sigil … I think that will fix a lot of peoples’ issues with the stun durations.
Confirmed today on Stream….
…
Reaction in chat was pretty funny.
I heard … four seconds reveal … that’s nothing on a 40 second CD, that’s like they were literally too busy with other things or hate playing ranger so much that they didn’t bother to test it so they just tossed it out for everyone else to test and might get around to adding longer Reveals on other classes later (but forget to revisit ranger’s)
(edited by ilr.9675)
I haven’t seen one yet and I do all 5 Temples/Priests every night, multiple dungeons, and lots of WvW….
Well if you can get through Path1 with necro … then there’s no reason you can’t atleast run 1 melee weapon on-swap on whatever is the next class you pick… You don’t HAVE to melee lupicus either. (but it takes a lot longer than is reasonable IMO on guardian when running Staff/Scepter …trust me, I’ve had to do it too many times …some other class choice would just be a lot less awkward when doing mostly ranged dmg.)
Also don’t forget that Warrior is ironically one of the best “support” classes for some of the newer content we’re seeing where we’re getting a lot more conditions & mobility checks thrown at us. It’s hard to argue against such easy team might-stacking
Given the amount of just wood needed to both level your craft and make an ascended it would take months just to gather the wood.
Made 4 ascended weaps, and 2 ascended inscriptions so far (that I sold). Leveled up 2 disciplines to 500, and the last one artificer is @ 470 now …. The only thing I buy any stacks of regularly is soft wood b/c I have a fundamental disagreement with J. Smith’s changes to it that took us from needing only 2 or 3 logs… to needing 4. FOUR? 4 is just breaking the camels back. Roll back plz.
I wish we could sell Vision Crystals too b/c I have enough leftover mats for 3 of those right now. …and I’m quickly running out of ideas of what weapons to make next
.
Really I think it just comes down to having a perma-swiftness character (or 2) with multiple gap closers so that you’re effectively always moving @ 50% movement speed to cover more ground. (& disengage instantly from mob/wvw aggro)
No one is gonna hustle a snickers bar.
XD
this comment wins the thread IMO.
(edited by ilr.9675)
30 HOM points is a Lot of grinding….. Approximate to making 10 Ascended weapons..
I was totally melee until I saw how a long bow can melt stuff with the right spec (+10% damage for endurance & flanking, +5% for trait, “quickdraw” for lots of rapidfire), and at range where dps isnt interrupted by cc. Now I dont see why there would be any complaint about a ranger with a longbow in the group.
Because you still do less damage than another equally unbuffed melee. In addition, that melee player is getting buffs and providing buffs for the other players that will dramatically increase their damage relative to yours.
Not only that, they’re also lunging through combo fields which stacks on a lot more DPS than 5% here & 10% there at ranged does. Heck I run double melee in WvW on mine just to Triple proc my own waterfields (it really adds up when you’ve got 19 other guildies all blast finishing it too)
I need to make some videos of this actually…. b/c I don’t think most people understand what a difference they can make :p ….Just doing torch & fire trap for multi fire shields, a solo ranger can get 12 stacks of might reguarly…
(edited by ilr.9675)
I have no confidence that the Oct. 15 patch will be minor tweaks to weapons and traits and sic’em will be situational at best.
I really think Anet is has not handled this game professionally at all. Everything from the fail conquest mode in spvp, profession balance, devs fighting with players about gvgs are signs to me that GW2’s future after the launch of ESO and other anticipated games looks grim IMHO.
If this game doesn’t do a 360 and focus on real profession balance and more PvP modes for both spvp and with pve gear or plan to release this stuff as a carrot on a string when the newer hyped games come out, its going to hurt ANet big time.
It has been hard for me to play this game lately because I play only WvW and I am sick and tired of having to hear how Rangers suck, and how I need to re-roll a warrior, elementalist or guardian when I play better than most of the players in viable professions.
Rangers will not be fixed until they solve the issues with the pet mechanics and Sic’em change is like putting a bandaid on a broken leg.
During serious matchups, I always switch back to my Guardian :\
(Even when there’s another Skillgroup on DB like there was last night stripping off all the Stability I laid down … I just F3, Renew …F3 again and zero kittens were given … we won they lost … rangers woulda been eaten alive in that situation).
Seriously I don’t get why are there so many kittens trying to defend something thats really bad… especially those who say things like “I have never encounter problems against xxx class, you are just bad.”. These people seem to be just waiting for praises to shower on them, “oh wow you own with a underpowered class, you must be a pro”.
I played every single class myself, pvp and wvw, if ranger isn’t “underpowered” like those tards who said so, it must really be a high skill cap class that majority can’t get use to then.
It’s pretty much in the same boat as Ele right now….. only with a lower final potential.
soo…. yes those people actually do deserve * some * praise for not dying and failing constantly on a class that is still riddled with bad AI bugs, worse control, and the lowest overall DPS of any class in the game… on the other hand, they’re also lying a lot when they say they don’t have “issues”. Everyone has issues. No one wins every single fight the first time they do it. Not even the O^P pve classes in this game like Guard & Warrior. ….. I learned more about getting good on ranger by failing on my guardian than any of these people who constantly whiteknight ranger’s potential.
What is this “build” template crap?
If you’re not switching weapons and traits to adapt to the content, I think you’re pretty much missing out on all of the REAL optimization for this specific class. Some dungeons/bosses I’ll use Whirling & DPS traits. Others I’ll use Warhorn and anti-CC (and very rarely, the bows). Path3 AC & orr Temples, I’ll even use full spirit-way on… Yeah it’s a lot of Micro but this is the wrong class if you aren’t up for micromanagement.
The only thing you shouldn’t ever have to do is run Bears & Toughness armor. If Drakes/Moas aren’t staying alive then it’s not your fault, it’s Anet’s. But if the Primary Mod on all your gear isn’t Power (and the second one something having to do with Crits)…then that’s your fault. No one wants a “support/toughness” ranger in their dungeons. All they do is grab aggro from the melees and string it out all over the place. (but you already mentioned ya got an Ele for that anyway).
.
Get to practicing…
You’ll know you’ve arrived when you can clear Path2 Arah in under 18 mins, melee lupicus & the abom, and do it all while only running the Stalker & Red moa. (should be a lot easier once they get this upcoming HP buff). GL!
Disclaimer: it’s not cheating to use dagger Vs. Lupi. It’s not super pro… but it counts
(edited by ilr.9675)
Also I think it’s unfair that this match up happened, not because we’re losing, but because it’s so hard to say the right acronym with the right server. Too many times I’ve gotten tongue tied calling out the DB and BP zerg’s we’re fighting at the same time. It’s BS :p
Run at me BP and DB.
Just call it DP … one way or another your back end is gonna get tightened up
+1. Healing signet however will get a nerf as it’s also seen as OP in spvp.
Well that’s good to hear. …I felt Warrior was a lot more balanced when their only Wolverine-Tier regen was “I.W.A.Y.” (was hella fun in AB & FA, heh)
Trials of Atlantis was the expansion that introduced a PvE raid gear grind for BiS RvR gear.
Sound familiar?
I see your point….
I know there’s a developer preview on the new skill balance somewhere
No there isn’t. They said there would be, but all we got was a sPvP how-to instead.
The preview will be available like 12-18 hours right before the patch goes live, leaving no time for anyone’s opinions on their details to matter.
(edited by ilr.9675)
Is ranged guard better support then a mesmer?
If you can’t stay alive in melee end-game, you might as well go Ele or Engie
Guardians do pathetic damage with ranged and mesmer damage is all about phant & clone spam shatter which you might find to be too much effort for what it does … especially if you have difficulty timing feedback.
I’m new to lvl 80 on my necro and the groups I’ve run with have had no issue with me being ranged and we have had no issues completing paths.
Which paths… and by “no issues” how many times did you actually die (details matter if you want real advice) …. Your Necro wasn’t that one in full Menhlo’s Armor I guided through Arah was he?
(edited by ilr.9675)
A preview several days ahead of time was a really considerate and well intentioned and would have been great. …A streaming preview 1 day ahead of time is kind of moot
pointless thread in the wrong forum
in the case of Ginva, boring mechanics, giant HP pool and protection.
Ranger pet can destroy that totem for good without aggro’ing him
It’s like the only thing ranger does best :o
(edited by ilr.9675)
Ele/mesmer/thief/guardian can out dps warrior with same buffs as the warrior. Warrior dps only comes from the ability to sustain self might/fury.
Thief can outrun sword/warhorn/greatsword warrior by using a sbow, ESPECIALLY when the terrain isn’t a flat straight line.
& require much more specializing & skill to pull off.
Don’t try to fudge the point
…well that’s a really important distinction right there. I admit I hadn’t considered exactly where that line could be drawn. Not a fan of it’s fundamentals myself even though I should be (b/c it seems more based more off codex/costumeBrawl). …I hope they figure out someday what went wrong
because we all know it’s just numbers :/
Well yeah… he said it’s numbers. Moving all the numbers you possibly can to the best fights…. which for the most part, has been DB’s bay
But I guess you guys haven’t been seeing any of that. Long story short: A 10 minute open-field stalemate doesn’t exactly indicate overwhelming total population for either server… (yes, that really did happen and the FPS drop was epic).
Ah thanks for those other examples … Which were ironically the 2 games most of my COH friends went to when they felt COH itself had lost all hope for them…
But you also bring up RvR… I’m really curious now what caused DAoC’s biggest declines there? I know back around release and the lead up to Beta we had quite a few DAoC’ers commenting frequently about WvW, but I don’t recall them ever going into what lessons the devs should have taken that RvR’s decline. …if any… (didn’t one or two of those Devs from there collaborate on WvW here?)
If i had to chose i would take the first option keep the dps. Mainly for pve but still.
Even though i run one of the highest possible warrior dps builds i still feel like its just not enough things go too slow to chop trough.
Well I gotta hand it to you purely on history then b/c that would be the most consistent route that keeps them true to their Gw1 predecessor (which I did play a ton of myself … hammer builds, tactics, penetration scythe/farmer, 100b HM spike speedclear, etc…. You’ll find no Wammo here …only time I ever tried to facetank on mine was with /Ele :p)
I only rolled a ranger in this game b/c I wanted a “hard mode” alt to sink a lot of time into. But if Warrior was made a pure “skill class” like its predecessor, I could definitely see myself buying another character slot and committing to it again just for a change of pace (instead of Thief which is what I currently have planned after my mesmer is finished and has 2 full sets of armor).
(edited by ilr.9675)
Are you guys really saying it’s an Incentives problem? …and people are stacking just to farm??
Looking at Whiteside’s buying-time “Collaboration push” in the General forum…
…makes me believe they’re already on the Bargaining stage.
Especially when looking at Josh’s followup in it about what they consider to be useable feedback where it becomes clear that they only care about how opinions are worded rather than how factual they actually are. …. I know there’s hundreds of us here who get infracted every month on the slippery slope of “rude/cynical” posts that they (Anet) want to imply is just a bunch of Slander because they are out of touch with the facts. … they get all their facts from datamining which if you look at similar models in the USA with regards to public polling …. you instantly see just how useless that sort of data gathering really is. (Mathematical paradox: congress having a 10% approval rating … but a 90% incumbancy for instance).
This thread itself will likely see deletion on the grounds of “character attack” even though all we’re doing is trying to figure when we can start taking all of this seriously and actually do what they claim they want us to do…. (give nothing but positive-worded feedback). ….Before we can take it seriously, there has to be some trust. When they tell us our feedback will be ignored b/c they think any one part of it might be Slander, then the discussion is no longer about collaborating. It’s about keeping score and “It’s my way, or the highway”.
And they CAN do that…. It’s their forum. It’s their Servers. It’s their ball… But when all they have left is a bunch of yes-men… When they either turn away or outright ban their most passionate fans by constraining the discussion to a point where they never have to apologize for any of the mistakes THEY MADE… they quickly lose the brightest and most creative contributors the ever had. And the product’s overall potential takes a huge hit until it becomes so inbred that it stops attracting any new playerbase —- Just like City of Heroes before NcSoft pulled the plug on that game…
…and yes…
I made a similar post in the vein of this one on their Forums about 2 years before it shut down. (just as it was hitting its death spiral). And 4 years before that… I called Jack Emmert out on his shenanigans and misappropriation of resources right before he got pushed out of lead Dev … he replied to my post with so much denial and deflection it makes that Tagged up Dev who squatted on the GvG’ers look like miss congeniality. Granted I may be a ADHD scrub in Arena, terrible at minmaxxing in general, and even mathematically dyslexic at times. But as far as prognosticating trouble ahead goes, my track record is pretty good…
…I don’t foresee Anet going down that road in the next 5 years b/c for right now, there isn’t that level of Hubris. Mike OBrien still holds the reins on this horse (I hope!). This isn’t even a nose dive yet. It’s a snag at best…. And all they have to do is just get over it. Do things that actually rebuild respect from us long-timers who’ve been with them since April 2005. Focus on bug fixes and skill splits like they used to do in good old Gw1. … don’t write off everyone with negative comments as a LOST CAUSE. Stop building Carnival Attractions and start building Trust.
(edited by ilr.9675)
I think Warriors need to make a decision here before Anet makes it for them.
Do you want to keep the highest DPS in game?
or
…keep the highest Disengage / passive Anti-CC and Health/Regen pool in the game?
You’re not a Thief or Assassin by the way who’ supposed to get stuff like that just to offset their TERRIBLE grouping utility. You have some of the best Group utility already next to Paragons & Mesmers, and more mobility than any ranger…. So when it comes to casual PvP you really have nothing to complain about. The volume of “counterplay” that is feasible against you, is really only limited to Condition Necros right now which is already something I heard rumors is changing soon with this continued tweaking they’re dong to condition “Volume” and purging. …..So what does that really leave when it comes to countering a warrior who knows what they’re doing? The rest of us all have a kryptonite…. some of us (rangers) have several. What’s yours going to be?
I’m not mad at warriors by the way. I rely HEAVILY on several very skilled ones every night in WvW. Nerfing Warrior & Guardian would really hurt my guild and make us all a lot less effective against scrubby blobs and bandwagoners. Furthermore it would trickle over to all the Dungeon running I do too, to the point that it would actually be faster for me to get gold & Empy shards by just doing nothing but jump puzzles. ….So yeah, I’m not going to tell anyone what’s better for THEM. It’s not my class. But it will negatively impact me so I hope they realize in time that they can still steer this ship aground before it hits the Rocks instead.
(edited by ilr.9675)
I think there’s some point where the player-hours would be insufficient to justify spending dev time on the game mode.
Ah, that does sound consistent with that latest reasoning they gave us on why TA Forward/Up was taken completely out of the game….. And why Charr Armor rigging (3D modeling/scaling) has not been scheduled for a re-do ….b/c it’s like the least played race.
((side note: F/U was a lot more popular before anet’s updates caused a bug in it that would spawn a ton of broken adds in the final boss room that didn’t despawn when the party wiped …. so it’s fair to reason its failing patronage had nothing at all to do with its original design & functionality …. same thing applies to the Temple of Balthazar event & other undocumented changes resulting from the “living story”))
(edited by ilr.9675)
Most 80s will kill an upscaled character quite easy. If you want to level in wvw you better run in a group. Most xp comes from keeps/towers/camps.
This isn’t an exaggeration…. my Monk (Clerics guard) put down 2 lowby players last night within 5 seconds of eachother. …infact we were outgunned @ our EB garrison when this happened and the entire outnumbering force broke through Inner gate … We were outnumbered atleast 3-1 but they all died pretty quick b/c almost none of them appeared to be balanced-gear level 80s. I think we have Video of it coming soon… hope we can get that uploaded soon….
.
I don’t think “up Levs” should ever get a damage bonus, but they should definitely get like 5000+ bonus hitpoints and about 1000+ armor rating bonus just so they’re allowed to make more mistakes and actually LEARN something from them instead of just dying in 2 hits when some Full Ascended giant enemy crab hits their weak point for massive damage
(edited by ilr.9675)
Because if WvW dies in the lower tiers (which is happening, slowly), there won’t be enough people playing WvW for Anet to bother supporting it.
Wouldn’t that mean a lot less resources they’d have to set aside to keep updating it?
…and a greater likelyhood that everyone wanting even-matchups would then finally settle for sPvP that they’ve obviously been putting the lion’s share of their Skill balancing around? They’ve already got this bloodlust arena to prepare WvW’ers for that transition ….gee, sounds like a win-win situation for Anet…. you might even say exactly as planned
