A majority who plays tPvP would prefer they actually kittening balance the game before moving on to other gametypes in my mind.

baaaaaawww…

Balancing our other two modes as much as they have already, just for you guys, wasn’t enough…. No you need even more changes until not even the number crunchers can point to a couple of mathematically superior builds. …Never mind that our 2 modes only have 1 build that’s ever worth running

5. Dev team see lack of incentive to fight when loosing as number one issue in WvW, they are brainstorming however no concrete plan has yet be revealed.

It’s NOT an incentives issue. If it was, current Outgunned buff & “world bonuses” would have already addressed it. It’s a kittening NO BRAINER that no one … nomatter how skilled or determined they might be …. wants to be rolled again and again by “the Blob” simply because that server has 2x the attendance for twice the coverage. People on the underdog server simply give up early b/c they cannot find any balanced fights.

And balancing those fights would be pretty simple … and more importantly —> beneficial to BOTH servers. PVD’ing gets boring for the winning side too. The longer they refuse to just outright balance or “scale” these uneven populations in strategic coverage/quadrants of the maps…. the less patience everyone will have for all the other crap (like bloodlust or other redundant & unpopular minigames) that skirts around the main issue.

I know this, b/c I’m on BP and this week we actually have a matchup that functions EXACTLY like a matchup should. Most fights feel pre-scaled on their own, naturally, organically. There is no rote response or “only one way to win”.

Every

Single
….
Decision

…every option on the table for us… feels just as viable as its alternatives.

It never comes down to “Well if we just had more people”. …No there’s so much more depth to it for us right now because most fights have equal STRENGTH on both sides. This doesn’t even include the plentiful 3-ways by the way. The tighter “elite” groups are not so far outnumbered that they can’t possibly win. The newby blobs are not SO evenly matched by veteran Band-Wagoners that they can’t win either. Most fights feel pretty well scaled in group survivability and DPS and thus are allowed to last more than 10 seconds. Some fights rage on 3-5 minutes no where near anyone’s spawn.

It’s basically… like the difficulty scaling we were promised in dynamic events in PvE, except this week it actually was delivered in the world of Guild Wars Two instead of merely promised. Hence why I’m spending all of my time here instead of in PvE land where I usually have to spend most of my time just to find any kinds of fights that even attempt to scale challenge and rewards evenly. Even better, this part of the World, actually has good A.I. most of the time

Nobody likes difficult content, it’s a myth.

There are 2 different sets of players; those that want easy content and those that want exclusive content.

The first set wants the game to be incredibly easy so they can relax, socialize and generally progress with minimal effort.

The second set wants content that is tuned specifically for them so they can beat it and subsequently brag about it to players unable to beat it.

Notice, no where in there did I say either set wants difficult content. When given the option of being handed a $100 bill or being given a days worth of work and being paid $100 for it, no rationale person is going work when they can get the same reward without working.

+1 to this post…. …with one major modification to the “Bragging Rights” part….

And not as an echo’er of “dwaaahhh, it’s too hard guys” …. no, as the second camp of desiring Exclusive content. Case in point: my guild team on our first run-through, wiped twice in this new Twilight dash pirateship is steampunk assault cartoon… and both times were due to glitched/bugged sections or an achievement-kittening part of it, not in the areas that puggers get completely kitten-blocked in.

This was clearly designed as content that even Anet themselves struggled with and had difficulty on if you watched their LiveStream where their guys (in Sentinel gear) who had done it several times by that point, were still taking too long. Thus their expectations for all of this content … is somewhere along the lines of extended replayability for those who struggle but never give up on it, followed by what I’d assume is casual bragging rights afterwards. Just like how they were convinced this Tequila thing would take everyone several days before anyone beat it, and lots of guilds giving it their all weeks after that.

But that’s not where reality goes usually, and definitely not where opinions go either. Exclusive content gives us a sense of purpose in a world that otherwise is devoid of meaningful rewards for skill and problem solving. But we don’t rave about it or brag about it usually until it reaches a point that 1 of the “Exclusivity” players puts out a video for solo’ing this content that 5 pubbers still couldn’t beat after a dozen attempts. And it’s not that the content was ever truly challenging. It’s because the content was mostly artificial difficulty that we are seen constantly patronizing more casual players and Anet itself over.

Thus we’re the ones who are considered the bad guys here simply because we not only embraced this content, but we completely dissect that content into it’s most base mechanics, and then demonstrate our results with working models and videos…. much like doctors or scientists do (with the exception that our work will never benefit all of mankind or save anyone’s life … nor should it be expected to since this is only a hobby). And as was the case with this latest dungeon path, we even published our theories on it a whole day or two before it went live. A lot of people who don’t subscribe to this exclusivity niche may find that really annoying, grating even. Especially Anet themselves. And as a result, will continually look for excuses to ignore our input and theory crafting. IE: mistaking our modus operandi for malice.

It’s not Malice though…. It’s just how we operate.
We don’t want more gimmicky content anymore than you casual folks do…
Hence why we criticize it and dissect it and then trivialize it the way we do.
Yes we have a messaging problem, obviously…. Who doesn’t at this point?

.

If anyone seems to revel in the fact that it’s exclusive content….
It’s not because it’s excluding too many people…. it’s b/c it proved our theories.
As long as it keeps playing to our strengths like this? … we will embrace it.

While discussions like that are valuable and demonstrate how the dev team and the player community can have valuable discussion, I’ve also seen many other issues that apparently are ignored. I’m sure they aren’t being really ignored, but the silence gives that impression. An example of that might be the dozens and dozens of threads in the Ranger forum about the need for multiple improvements in the Pet mechanic. Maybe there have been constructive dev interactions on the forums about ways to improve Pets, but if there are I apologize I’ve overlooked them.

The “devs” have interacted there. And I don’t mean the CC / CM people either … we’re talking about heads of the skill functionality team here … Sharp & Peters. And the entirety of their interaction all year long, has been to tell us that we’re fine overall b/c the perception is that we’ve been almost too strong in sPvP. Everything else that we have a problem with, report as bugged or bad design…. is just a non-priority for them. ….Basically… the entirety of end-game PvE, and WvW, is a non-priority…for them. This is not exaggerating & paraphrasing just to attack their character. No this is exactly what they have implied and re-asserted again and again with regards to our role in these game modes. Even our arguments that we have to “Play the UI” more than we actually “play the game” are brushed aside. They’re not interested in changing that. They’re focused on bigger things like trying to make Conquest mode “LoL-popular” eSport tier addictive etc etc.

They have written/collaborated probably, FIVE TIMES as much explanation on this issue of priority (than Whiteside has here), over in the sPvP forum with little side jabs sometimes on the ranger forum. Maybe they’re not as well received as Colin’s posts typically are, but they’ve interacted, and MADE THEIR POINT. They are not budging on this issue. It does not matter one bit what our suggestions are. It does not matter how much we try to refine our reports and work-arounds to solve this problem for them. They simply do not consider it a problem that deserves priority. It doesn’t even matter that a good number of their Ranger players are now on a trend of failing major portions of the living story content being added. That’s not their department. Even us ranger players are split on that argument of whether it’s the content-builders who screwed up or the balancing/skill team.

.

Regardless of what we could ever say on the topic, they have plausible deniability here, and they will use it to its full extent for years into the future. Not only that, they will get away with it too because they got away with it in Gw1 where Ranger and Paragon are still broken/1-dimensional classes in most game modes simply because the need to address it with a very jaded and possibly hostile community …. is such a low-priority.

Okay, for a dungeon where the action is faster and everything including the trash hits harder (or builds up stacks of Frenzy like aboms), yeah several wipes might be fine. But this just seemed more gimmicky to me so all that had to be done was dodge early and dodge often (assuming you still have space to dodge in or the floor doesn’t bug or all the other crap we’ve heard about Bugs in this thing). ….yeah it’s definitely gimmicky and not everyone here played Gw1 enough to be comfortable with just watching what happens first to learn the patterns before going kittens to the walls on the main objective

Try F3’ing to save your pet when you’re Melee’ing Lupicus and he does the Swipe/Cleave.

There’s nothing crazy about that either… to compete with every other class, we HAVE to melee, and without Pets that can stand in Melee with us and “phase” when we dodge, we’ll never measure up to the DPS of other classes.

That’s why I showed the math. So everyone can see where I got the numbers from. Not make up things like “warriors have 2x the DPS of rangers.”

Yeah, and I’m saying that math is faked, because you’re using the base*power numbers for a warrior’s weapon skill (WRONG Weapon by the way… nice try), to also calculate a ranger’s. That’s NOT what happens in-game though. Our weapon skills do less damage nomatter what the hover/“help text” claims. ….therefore your entire spreadsheet brings into question your actual “Ever really PLAYING the ranger class” experience.

Also this is a big part of why part of Anet’s blog or “Plans ahead” includes a much more detailed UI or fact sheet for skill/damage calculations … I’m not even going to elaborate on the fact that someone else has already de-manipulated your math, but much thanks to him for just offering a second opinion….

I don’t think players hate Raid dungeons because they are Raids or large groups doing things together. I think many players just don’t like treadmill grinds and that little beast that comes with that, the “Power Creep”.

No it’s because most of them want to be lazy scepter camping guardian and BearLonbow rangers who Point-blank-Shot the vet Subjugator I’m trying to hold the aggro of (which causes the whole kitten event to fail instantly).

They also like to ignore map chat and never have to dodge or use waypoiints once they die. In other words, they’re all the people who WOULDN’T be invited to Raids and would miss out on the next round of SHINIES … SHINIES … …. SHINIES . . . . . . SHINIES

Please do not take even more skill out of pvp.

Or PvE either … IoW: my guild went into this “Friendship is steampunk Assault” whatever it is, and just rolled over everything b/c we were already all experienced with the Gimmicky-ness of Anet’s dungeons (we ran Manlyspike for everything in Gw1) and most of us had 2-3 Ascended weapons already. I’m building my 4th one today (offhand Axe for reflect/pull utility). It was nothing at all like the first time we had done AC & then COE & then Arah where coming up just a little short on DPS meant we had to completely reformulate our entire approach, learn the telegraphs, and even change traits. …Nah, this was just a matter of letting the higher base damage & RNG crits decide the outcome for us. We might as well have been sitting at a table rolling D20’s and firing magic missile at the darkness.

But that ship has sailed and it doesn’t excuse the Quality of Life issue here that we’re staring at empty slots and the whole thing just feels….. incomplete right now. It’s this uneasy feeling that probably drives completionists crazy I would imagine. I’m only 12.5% autistic and it drives me crazy every day I see them and make the mats for the next one. …. There’s absolutely no reason the cost should outweigh the benefit by a factor of 10 here. Anet’s better than this (usually). We can’t excuse how arbitrary this is, just b/c 10% more base damage can trivialize their very poorly designed Zerker-only DPS-check content. That’s a separate issue that they need to fix later.

Just need berserker stance, stability, and healing signet to do that. And greatsword for the disengage. Pretty common setup nowadays for war.

Okay thank you for the answer, so here’s my Follow-up….

Despite all this Tankability and Escape this Warrior had (which I can live with! ….“Glass” shouldn’t be the only setups anyone ever runs) …. they also had more DPS & DPA than me in my pure Valk’s armor (I was evading a TON to stay alive). Now here’s where Anet comes in: When Rangers and Guards were “Bunkering” too well but still having great DPS through their core class mechanics, things got changed (read: Nerfed HARD) and they’ve been pretty careful not to allow that to transpire twice in the same egregious fashion.

Whhhhhy… do they still get to keep their big DPS/DPA attacks and base stats & still have the capacity to spike with this “class mechanic”? What is their whole “trade-off” here if they also have massive disengage & offensive-Buff + Rezzing support on top of that?

Is this all just a community Perception thing I’m not quite getting here?

I saw a warrior last night on IOJ that confused the hell out of me.
“she” (probably not IRL gender) was completely immune to all of the following, all of the time:

  • Cripple SPAM
  • knockback
  • burning (litterally stood in my fire trap, never caught fire)
  • Immobs
  • any physical damage (just out-regened it!) … poison didn’t seem to debuff this btw.

…3 of us all tried to focus her, she just teleported away with that sword whirl faster than any FGS Ele I’ve ever seen before. …. like if this game had 50% faster movement speed?? Well she had like 100% … that’s how fast her disengage was and I’m on double sword roaming ranger which even Ele and Thieves have trouble disengaging from. ….My guild leader just said ignore her. “She’s trolling us”.

I don’t understand this and I need someone to explain it to me. …Just like a month ago everyone was whining that Warrior was the weakest crap there was in PvP’ing. There was a survey where they were dead last. ….someone explain how all those things are allowed, b/c yes, I’ve heard people say that warriors can build to shrug off pretty much everything

in WvW

Posted by: ilr.9675

ilr.9675

All of these threads telling ANet how much more fun match-ups are when they’re roughly even…

…and we still have no acknowledgement that they’re even CONSIDERING a different way of doing match-ups.

Matching-up can only go so far because some Tiers themselves are just light years away from eachother. ….Even with Anet’s Theorycrafting that the two weaker server would work together more to keep the strongest Zergiest one in check…. it just DOES NOT WORK. …2nd place never wants to team up with third place because the Meta’s mechanics just don’t allow it.

It’s far more incentivized for 2nd place to go take all of the 3rd place server’s candy while constantly running away from #1’s much larger zergs. That’s millenniums of basic evolution right there ….watch a pack of wolves going after the weakest in the herd. We’re no different. … our Cave dwelling ancestors didn’t bad together to take down bull mammoths… #1 too many of them died trying it … but also the Baby mammoths were more tender and just tasted a lot better.

.

What this comes down to, is the population leverage. Without a mechanic to make EVERYONE in the underpop servers into bull mammoths, nothing will ever change. Changing the scoring system itself is only treating a Symptom instead of the cause. Changing the matchmaking does even less. The only way to fix the root problem, is to address Defense better, and also give smaller organized/skilled guilds the leverage (or PvE scalng if Anet wants to be cheap about it) they need to stay alive more than 5 seconds against a Zerg of bads. ….Then you’d finally see a reversal of this Blobbing trend of everyone migrating to only the badwagon servers.

Why play anything besides guardian?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

ilr.9675

Because when/if they nerf guardian, everyone who thinks like you do will be totally screwed. At any rate, most of the world is easy enough and some people like to challenge themselves…not everyone, but some people.

As long as they buff Necro…. I’ll still be all set without having to roll a Warrior. A pure zerker power+crit necro still lays waste to anything that’s immune to conditions and also aces the Simin DPS check with flying colors … especially with Blade Thirst for the passive Spark-running speed increase. Life-Sapping wells is also easy-mode there and wrecks tougher solo encounters such as Veteran Nobles/Subjugators that even my Guardian seems to have trouble with… (It’s all in the gear + Omnom Ghosts)

And even if they don’t buff my Necro, I’ve got a level 50 Mesmer heading to 80 pretty soon too… Clone spam is way too versatile in this game and the DPS you can generate is even stupider despite not quite being on par with Axe Zerker War. (then, again what it is? … besides a really well played/chained Guardian that is).

The best part is…. we were all making these same exact predictions on Guru the first week that Guardian was announced back in ….. 2011 ….I think it was? So it’s not for lack of preparation and foresight here. I think it’s obvious that Anet just wanted some classes to be Easy Mode …. (meaning I’m forced to play Ranger if I want hardmode dungeons/WvW)

however the precursor building (and corresponding additional legendary items) is the one highest at risk to not make it this year.

Well thank you for finally being honest with us and not holding anything back in the details this time. …was beginning to think you guys lost your capacity for being frank after that whole GvG debacle.

TBH, they’re really low on my personal priority list too. Infact the only fascination I have with this is going to be in how Linsey handled the Scavenger hunt details and whether people who blow money on Gemshop items will have a bigger advantage like they have recently with regards to acquiring Darkmatter and other mats. And More importantly: Not being stuck with a skin they hate just b/c the only way to transmute them or split them, was with more Gemstore items.

….those kinds of details is where I hope you guys are really reading into these threads and actually taking your time to get things right and not exclude too many people who either can’t afford Gems, or just can’t do a dozen jump puzzles/dungeons every day… Or like me, prefer to actually scout for T6 nodes instead of cheating by looking them up on some Website that doesn’t always update properly every day.

The boss himself isn’t hard if you Zerker melee like regular dungeon pros.

The real problem is that he doesn’t pull properly when your entire team has to move to the opposite side of the room to have one of the Holo’s “meet him half way”.

In that sort of situation, there’s very limited amount of skills that can get the job done without killing the Holo outright just trying to re-position it. Ranger’s Path of Scars for instance which is well balanced in every other part of the game, will pretty much one-shot the Holo so I’m forced to run WRONGBOW just so I can reposition the holo without killing it instantly. Guard’s pull has a fairly short range and might also do too much damage. Bannish seems to do more vertical lift than actual knock, and also does a lot of damage. Necro’s grasp-pull is great, but again: balanced purely around sPvP and seriously needs a PvE split with a 15 second CD instead of 30. It also bugs out and might only pull them 2ft if you’re moving even slightly, or attempting to pull the holo accross terrain with more than a 2 inch vertical offset.

I could keep going, but I think everyone already knows that CC in this game has way too many limitations in PvE.

Just do an entire 90 minute dungeon again and again and again and again? ….yeah great, this logic works just fine with things like MadKing’s content and Teribulation mode where you don’t have to assemble a team every time and then go through an hour of super obvious TIME SINKS to get your 10 seconds of practice in before you have to start the entire thing over again.

Do you people even understand the average person’s pain-tolerance for stuff like this, not to mention the social-barriers attached to it requiring 5 players every single “try”?

Bonus round b/c I ran out of space above:

  • Who’s in Charge achievement’s a real pain for rangers b/c there’s nothing our pets can do in that fight in that tiny little alley off to the east of the Foreman. It’s no fun for us rangers either b/c his Spin-to-Win applies cripple but we’re incredibly lacking in the instant and/or mobile condition removal department. Not to mention the phsyics are pretty messed on that spin to win and his velocity and tracking will actually SPEED UP if we lunge to avoid it.

I think this topic needs more bullet points
… first the things they could have done a lot worse to make us hate it even more:

  • Atleast there wasn’t a broken boss mechanic (like with Lupi) where it generates MORE AOE’s/Missiles or Adds based on the player*+pet* count around it.
  • Not really any insta-kill traps, and definitely none in heavy combat areas.
  • With the exception of the Foreman, there wasn’t any huge-HP sponge Bosses that just COATS every last inch in front of them with DOT’s leaving your pet nowhere safe to stand
  • no forcefield blender-of-doom with boxes that the pet can’t even path up onto.
  • point blank shot can be a life-saver for getting reluctant holos in range of Clocky.

.

Now for the things that really bothered me or just seemed Buggy:

  • Pets bring nothing in the way of utility to the Lava/Ooze escort minigame … well the EB wolf sort of helps, but its fear is balanced around PvP so it doesn’t last NEARLY long enough … basically any ranger who ISN’T running Offhand Axe with Offhand training, is completely useless and dragging their whole team down in this section.
  • During our zerk fest to drain Slick’s unnecessarily high HP bar, ASAP, I noticed the fume stacks were piling and no one had Oooze attractant over their heads. I look over and it’s humping my stupid spider. This just shouldn’t happen EVER. It’s everything that’s wrong with the Jade Maw encounter and Simin’s stupid Spark parade too.
  • Melee pets die way too fast against Slick b/c he just spams PbAoE’s that quickly melt whatever non-player entity gets near him … and having to run spiders instead makes it really hard put out consistent damage and STAY stacked together with the rest of the party. ….constantly babysitting our pet and spamming F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 F3 F1 is NOT FUN nor is it actually a fair challenge.
  • Same kind of issue with Holo pirates when we’re all stacked around the gens playing that minigame. They’ll randomly aggro on a ranged pet instead of getting back near the Gen like good little Bombs. None of the pets have a Pull either (Where’s our gawddarned Canyon Spider?? THEY HAVE A PULL…. what’s with all these other craptacular spiders they gave us instead?)
  • That second room with lik 8 generators and the entire sections of the floor *(up to 75% of it sometimes) being electrified most of the time. And it’s not just “Oh I need to move off this or I’ll die…” … No it’s like, even with 24K health, I’m dead in like 5 ticks of damage from it and there NO TELEGRAPH OR WARNING as to which sections will light up next. … and I had perma-swiftness & double lunge disengages. I couldn’t even imagine how bad this would be for a pure zerk Ranger attemping to spiritway / shortbow or run anything else with limited escape options.
  • Both pets were dying CONSTANTLY at this point by the way b/c this floor just does way too much damage and so I reached the point where I lost too much DPS and even killing the Holos fast enough once I got to a gen, wasn’t happening quite fast enough to get the whole thing done in one go.
  • Right after that … instead of giving us all time to rally and refresh our health, CUTSCENE … followed by Clockheart spawning right on top of us. Half the team was already downed and now they’re insta-dead and so is my pet that was licking my wounds.
  • Clockheart’s Ultimate: Our shared anguish trait …. IT DOES NOTHZINK!! … okay Anet, we get it, you like spamming us with knockbacks in your “Elite” content, and for some reason only seem to want to give 2 classes any kind of answer to stun-lock inducing knockback spam. We get it…. now please stop it. Being the soccer ball between a bunch of elite Gravelings, Lupi rolling his barf-bubble twice in a row even when we’re only melee’ing him … and now this Seismic wave thing that’s like 60ft in diameter and even our wasp lunge doesn’t get us out of its range.
  • Atleast 2 times …. the stupid double/triple knockback launched me so far I ended up on the electrified floor 75ft behind me. ONE of those times, I somehow ended up on one of the little platforms where my Pet couldn’t path to me to lick wounds yet I was still taking damage from the floor somehow …. what the heck? Did an intern set up the trigger-zones on this stuff?
  • Melee pets died instantly just trying to get a few hits on this Boss … but ranged pets who had his aggro, also got insta-dead b/c they force his scripted range attack that also does Lupi-tier double bolt damage. There’s really no winning with this guy unless you’re a Warrior or distortion Mesmer …. us sword rangers just get locked into our animations and can’t dodge when we really need to … and the pets of course can’t dodge at all.

Why play anything besides guardian?

Yep, so glad it was the class I chose as my first 80 … it totally payed for all my other class’ gear no matter how crappily I played it in mostly MF armor

High survivability, excellent damage, wanted in groups all the time. Really no cons

You forgot it’s also getting more buffs this next patch and no nerfs.
Warrior’s getting almost the same treatment too it looks like.

.

PVE is easy enough that it doesn’t matter what class you bring.

Uh huh….. * looks over at the Twilight Assault forum * … ya keep telling them that :p
I don’t think the people who use the LFG tool can hear you though

You don’t have to kill the shades…. infact their HP’s scale up too meaning it would be a colossal waste of manpower to try and kill them…. All you really need are a couple unselfish but skilled Rangers (b/c lick wounds + fire salsa = live forever VS. shades) who can evade properly while still holding the shade aggro…..

…and…

…I just realized i used rangers(plural) and skilled in the same sentence.
My bad.

Grounded Achievement = Bad design

IF you can get a wonderful mesmer they can port to each panel an all four can get it. You just have to find a mesmer that has it or don’t care about achievements.

This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of for an achievement that’s supposed to be about skillful navigation of a floor pattern. OP’s right, this one wasn’t thought out one bit before they just threw it in there and now people are condoning cheating to get it. They could have just as easily made it “solve the puzzle without being downed” instead of “don’t get zapped at all”

Too frustrating, Too many Rage quitters.

But yes, a lot of gimmicks in this dungeon and that can make it hard to find out what does what exactly.

Yep definitely…

Can’t think of much to elaborate on this point either. Does not inspire replayability, no other reason for it existing than a 1-time slog through a bunch of gimmicks that penalize all the more casual players/builds.

Why all the hate on the ranger?

Power is the stat on the upper left of your hero sheet.

base*power … and that other guy’s modified power stat (food/etc) itself isn’t over 3000k, why would my unmodified one be? Say whatever ya want but it wouldn’t be there if Anet didn’t intend for it to mean anything

Your math looks faked too. ..unless you’re hiding something. Leaving out the pet and only seeing a 15% shortfall vs. warrior? How gullible do you think I am?

New to Ranger, sword auto getting me killed

in Ranger

Sword auto roots you because the other two skills are basically free evades on top of the evades you get with offhand and your dodge button. If you run Sw/D and GS you can basically straight evade/block for something like nine seconds straight every 20 seconds or so.

I still take full damage from every single thing that attacks me in PvE while swording
I don’t know where you’re getting this Evade crap from.
Are you confusing it with the dagger offhand?

C’mon CD, you’re still in this. 1 big zerg might spook some of the pubbers on our servers but ya gotta split up into squads and defend a few things if you wanna keep our Squads distracted long enough for ya to pull ahead. Don’t tell me things still haven’t changed in over a year

SM gettin more turns than a doorknob. There’s no battlefront… everyone’s just throwing whatever they got at the wall and seeing if it sticks. Finally gave up for the night when it became apparent that no one’s breaking out of this pack by more than 500 points.

Anet should get their kittens on here this week and take notes on what the opposite of a foregone conclusion looks like

Insider Trading appears to be going on.

I didn’t believe it before…. I thought everyone was just being paranoid as usual.
Nah this is definitely uncalled for price spikes on other stuff too that went up even more than Goss where the orders placed and sell amounts MAKE NO SENSE AT ALL. A bunch of people … probably not just Dulfy editors either and other Media kittens, but Krewe members too all seem to be getting in on this.

You Tinfoilers win …. this is as insider as it’s ever been before.
If it’s this darned apparent, then it’s time for Anet to do something.
…change their policies…. cap purchases for all Krewe & Media people until after patch.

More access to Transmute Crystals (besides ONLY through gemshop) would make most of these complaints go away for good.

Because transmutation stones

those are the ones you get for map completion, and they DON’T WORK on lvl 80 gear
