An Engineer with huge access to knockbacks, launches and immobilise – they can build to be pretty reasonable bunkers and then cap points while bunkering due to their incredible amounts of CC.
Automated Response (AR) is a grandmaster-level trait that currently stops new conditions from being applied to the Engi while they’re under 25% health – this means that condition users can’t take advantage of the Engi’s lack of condi-cleansing options.

Hopefully with AR changes we’ll at least see some people moving away from this terribly broken build type, since most players running condition-heavy builds (especially Necromancers) will be able to take them out easily.

Since I want to try out new builds, I have done several hotjoin games again. Almost every match turns into zerg-runs-from-point-to-point (and I only join 5-player-maps).

Is this really fun for some of you? I don’t get it.

yea PVP players are rich! all those winters day giant gift you can buy with glory now sells for almost 10g a stack. All those dyes you can craft salvaging chest or buying chest with glory if you held stacks of them and sell now you be rich too. Those cheap blue dye that used to sell for like under 1 silver now go for 20-40s.

I just don’t really get one thing.. We need the map gift for a PvP legendary.. This is the biggest deal for me, to be honest.. They force us to do the most PvE for something that I want in PvE.. I mean.. Just make some PvP gift?

The tables should be turned. To get a legendary you need to reach max PvP rank aka r55 in today’s value.

As I understood it from the stream, they are still going to get lvl ups (and stay at 80 like in pve), until the levels correspond to the rank points. So it’s actually going to be a lot more than 10 chests an more like 50? 60?

No, a dev comment earlier said no one would get more chests than 81-(current rank). So technically an r79 player would get 1 chest. That’s it.

good thing there are no R79s around, they would sure be MAD!

ok guys how many rank 70+ do we have now in pvp? ill guestimate around 20 and that maybe exagerating by a lot. thats a minority even in a really small pvp community we have. your saying that when 15k players who play pvp, harcore or casual who likes the changes have to listen what the 20 rank70+ players want? gtfo

Let me try to put this in perspective for you. I’ve played this game, /age’d, for 5,000 hours. Minus afk and PvE/WvW time I’d guess that’s about 4,000 hours. Four thousand kittening hours in PvP. That’s almost six months IN GAME. I’d guess that I could have every class leveled to 80 with at least 10 legendarys in the amount of time I’ve played this game’s pvp.

If you want your free dragon emote then so be it, I sure as kitten can’t change it, nor do I even care. I find it shameful though that there will be no carrot on the end of the stick for those that do (or did) actually care. I feel even worse for those that spent even a second grinding rank after rank 55.

Just have a little respect for those like myself who are getting screwed. No retroactive rewards, no extra title for hitting rank 70 before it was free, no rewards after hitting rank 80. I have legit never even SEEN one of those new reward chests and I never will. I honestly don’t give a flying kitten that my time spent playing PvP won’t be rewarded at the end of the day. Phoenix was cool for the exclusivity, sure, and it was great for kittening too.

It’s ok, you’ll get 9 chests. I’d guesstimate the value in gold of those chests are… 3 gold.

All of these r50’s rejoicing makes me want to vomit. Like you said, they could at least have a bit of respect and not rub it in.

i dont really care if they make r55+ dragons or not… i enjoy all the game modes. i played 2.6k hours of both pve and pvp combined, did 5 map completion and 4 legendaries, full ascended gear. im not rank 55 i wont be a dragon and sure as hell i like shark finihser better than phoenix. but like i said your a minority of minorities in pvp community. maybe who knows you guys who are r70+ will get precursor in your bag of goodies when you reach r80.

I would like to point out that I am going to get less bags than anyone because I won’t be leveling up as much as others are. In otherwords I’m getting punished for being a higher rank…

Whats the point of redoing the rank scale, when in the end, you still have sth left.
Not to mention, how I understood that the rebalancing will work, we would get a lot of ~t20 Dragons. If Rank 55 is already enoug for getting Dragon, players with rank 60 / 70 will, thanks to the way the required Rpoints increase, have enough rank points in order to get so far.

Cuz then you can still obtain dragon rank (satisfy the casual players), but still be able to progress further to unlimited bounds (satisfy existing players above R55). Rank has always been a quick simple measure of how long a player has been around, but the new system will abolish that.

If they are going to make current R55 become dragon R80, it should be character bound not account wide. Just like PVE.

Now that R80 dragon rank (8.9M rank points) got scaled down to R55 (~1.3M) level, can we have like a super saiyan dragon rank system?

You know, when Goku reach super saiyan he was uber powerful, then he reach SSJ2 and SSJ3 and then SSJ4….. then wayy godly imaginable SSJ5

Be cool if we can have Super Saiyan Dragon levels too. So that those currently with like 3-4+ million rank points can be SSD2-3 and continue progressing. I would like to be SSD2 maybe SSD3!

Why would it increase playerbase? Ranks are ‘meaningless’ and the finishers in the gem shop are far superior.

A proper reward and ladder system needs to be in place. It sounds like PvP is just now a less efficient way of getting PvE items.

The population exclusive to only pvp is likely too small to make a dent in the current supply&demand

1/3 Luck (Cant always avoid 4v5 or really bad inbal teammates)
1/3 Build & Carrying Ability.
1/3 Queuing Time (You can increase/decrease your odds depending on what day and time frame you queue at.)

Don’t mind the meteor shower as you can easily kill the squishi ele, but my problem is the aoe is large and doesn’t have a ring indicator on the ground. Sometimes you think you went out of the radius and still get hit.

but without the QQ, skyhammer isn’t fun for me to troll!
