I don’t play sPVP for rank progression, but rather for fun. Don’t need a carrot to chase after. Much like how I play basketball; for fun.

PvP in WvW is entirely different than in tourney competitive nature of tPVP.

Queue solo into team arena, your chances of 4v5 3v5 are greatly reduced.

A lot of people still use use empty PVP rooms to duel/play around, but you will have to deal with random people entering in thinking its hotjoin, or just to troll you. I know I do if you’re in a skyhammer room

Maybe it is their master plan to weed out all the older pvp players so the will stop complaining. While the new crop of pvp player will just happily accept the current state of things to come.

If you really care about getting up on the ranking, there are specific times to queue and not to queue to increase your odds for both solo and team.

solution: farm more glory to make more dyes.

3. Win the games & gain alot of MMR because your difference is greater

No, there isn’t anything to spend the glory on. So for the last year and a half all of what I gained from spvp is worthless. How about adding some more pvp only items that cost glory and only glory before they do away with it. Or add a convergence of glory to rank points or the new currency (if it is gold, then let it be gold). Do the same with the pvp salvage materials, as they are currently they aren’t worth anything.

Yea, its worthless, so you’re not really losing anything then. You knew it was as you play sPVP… hopefully for the fun and not glory farm.

They’re revamping the reward system, should be happy about that. I rather not have Anet spend their limited resources on creating glory stuff to purchase, well you could have just converted them to glory like most people did with wintersday gifts.

Revamping is one thing, trivializing the previous system is nonsense. Have the glory convert to the new currency. Everyone plays for fun, but why we also play for progression.

We don’t even know what the new currency or if there is any at all. Glory was never meant for progression, even if it is you gotten all of it.

-Its fun to fight the worms down there.
-You can relog or switch to spectate
-You can dodge out of breaking panels or attacks that pull/knock you to it.
-I like skyhammer!
-If you obtain the skill to actually know how position/time your knock/pulls then you become god of skyhammer and people will whine/qq/rage at you. Its entertaining.

yay rank inflation to make R80 bit more reachable.

They should give character size special attributes. If you are bigger, then you get 5% boost in power or something. Maybe if you are smaller you get knocked back further etc.

Kill the creature at the start. Just…kill it. Don’t wait for the person at close to finish the job because an enemy thief is going to come along and steal it when it’s low on health. Conversely, if you see your enemy hasn’t finished it off, you know what to do…

Usually better not to kill creatures at start, it can be stolen easily and you will likely lose mid fight. You may have the creature, but have lost the momentum.

Silent storm:
Tranquility comes at 8:30. Do NOT forget it. If you think whatever you’re doing is more important….it’s not. If one person can stay overhead and get stillness, even better.

Tranq comes up at 2:30, but stillness is also important. Sometimes its better to backcap while the enemy is trying to cap tranq.

Hold close. Unless you’re bunking far and succeeding, there’s no excuse to allow close to be contested or worse, belong to the enemy. You might have some stud strategy at mid, but remember – holding mid is useful only if you have another point. Logically, that point is close. Sometimes though, the enemy zergs close, in which case you can go around and sneakily decap far. But unless you have far secure, hold close. Your blood should boil if you look at close and see it getting contested.

Its not the matter of how easy the solution is, but rather if there are devs with time to bother doing it. PVP just isn’t high on their priority list.

Please disable [Temple of Silent Storm] map until a fix is made.
