Matchmaking is terrible and you would assume this means that the MMR calculations are terrible. Of course, we don’t know the MMR ratings because if we did we would be rolling on the floor laughing to hard to play.

I don’t care about leaderboards, mini llamas, or loot. I want match-ups with people who aren’t terrible. Random would be a huge improvement.i HUGE.

My last two games…. 4 people camping far on foefire against 2 without taking it while we don’t have either of the other points and . A 5v2 win on khylo.

Please show us MMR.

They won’t show the MMR until the system is “perfect”. Wait for it in 2018

I would like a leaderboard of most deaths too with gold/silver/bronze level.

Noticed the default builds given to new characters are actually meta builds now.

When we had MMR based leaderboard people stop playing after reaching a certain level or played fewer matches. Esport doesn’t grow.

They attempted to fix that, but turned into grindy leaderboard. People still played less because there was no point in playing. Esport still won’t grow.

The winner here? Casual or PVE players. Which is fine, fun to troll them. But actually thats only thing left to do .

Also, I generally don’t like to PvP unless we’re at least a 3 queue or more. I find anything less is sort of like a slot machine.

Find/Join a party of low MMR player like from PVE guild or something. Your Q times will be much faster.

Assuming all players are equally skilled, being in a full or partial premade will give you considerable advantage over pugs. Don’t think the current match making system even accounts for it and if it does then not enough. Synergy of premade can be strong.

I heard a protip that if you put some olive oil between the phone or cable jack your internet lag issues goes away. 100% virigin olive oil works best. If that doesn’t work try putting modem in dish washer, but be sure to use the right soap specifically designed for it.

does it even matter if it affects mmr and/or rank pt? Q still 7+ minutes and mis-matched mostly, plus LB is pretty much tally of how many game played.

Hahaha yeah I was coding it as an int to start but then I changed it to a bool…but forgot to change its declaration to a bool lmao.

Should probably use assembly language, you wouldn’t have that problem as much.

But depending what language you choose party =5 should be party == 5. If not, party would be assigned the value 5 and the if statement would always be true.

I dunno… only see like 20 different people playing over and over again after 7min Q so who knows.

Anet should allow those with non-uber-slow computer to queue anywhere after passing a benchmark test.

Alternatively, anet could let players put a 100G Deposit down before Q’ing outside the mist. If you don’t load in time. Deposit goes bye bye.

Basically, if a player starts the season with high MMR, and had similar W/L records to the low MMR people topping the leaderboards, the high MMR players would have virtually no points, and the low MMR players would (and are) completely rolling in the points.

The thing is, high MMR players no longer have any ability to carry when solo queuing. In the old SoloQ leaderboards, I had a 70% winrate, but if I were to try the same for the new leaderboards as a solo high MMR player, I bring SO many matchmaking handicaps to my team just for being there, my win rate would be around 55%, just like the OP here, due to the handicapped matchmaking.

So the matchmaking balances the odds quite well, but yet still expects the high MMR player to win everytime, effectively awarding this high MMR an absolute pittance of points.

I could farm ranked all day as a solo high MMR player, but at the end of the day I’d probably barely have any points.

If I farmed ranked all day as a low MMR player, I would have a metric sheet ton of points.

That means that as a high MMR player, the only viable strategy to make progress on the leaderboards is to team queue and avoid the handicaps. Enjoy 8 minute queues, and only being able to keep a full group focused for a few hrs a day, say goodbye to all your point generation.

I still get a fair amount of 4v5s. Especially if the que has taken long.

What if they D/C while loading into the map after already passing the ready check? Fewer 4v5s, but could still happen.

SoloQ + TeamQ (full party only) + old LB /w proper decay + seasons + ready check = win?

Prob too hard to let go of all the work they did to revamp the current new system.

I really tried but it looks like i’m retiring you once again and going back to PVE. You just rarely feel balanced or fair and it’s getting far too stressful for me to play and enjoy you. Maybe it’s my fault because i never followed meta, just played my own builds. Matchmaking has always been bad no matter what they done because the player base isn’t there and growing smaller probably.

Actually, i’m surprised they actually did so much for pvp considering how small it is compared to PvE/WvW

new feature of the game for those who spent over 10k gems the past month.

Either you got really bad or good.

The average player with average MMR will get the average 2-3m Q. Once you are no longer average…. Q times will be 2-3x or longer.

btw: MMR is a hidden value, and not tied to LB standing or in-game rank level.

New feature bonus for those that spent more than 10k on gem store items.

I train daily in the mist by killing 1,000 golems as a warm up routine.

How do you match make when there are only like 20 people playing?

I play on both NA/EU. You will lag about an extra 100-200ms , but the worse part is the random lag spikes. It varies depending on the time of day you play.
