IF its possible, pet health and vitality should scale up according to the number of enemies in WvW like reaper shouts.
Pet stats should also scale to a maximum of +5% stats depending on the number of ascended gear equipped.
Also, pets do not benefit from vigor
And this https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/191360/Pet_UI.jpg PLEASEEEEEEEE don’t worry about cluttered UI, this would make it sooooo much better

I understand the nerf needed for quickness and protection uptime.
But
Really? Cap on might stack sharing with WHao? Might stacks from sword or axe mainhand are only 3 seconds long anyways. You’d have to invest in Str runes, Jungle stalker, off-hand warhorn while sacrificing your heal skill to maintain healthy lengths of might duration for you and your pet anyways.
Forceful GS + PS on warrior can easily dish out 25 stacks of might for the entire party
Scepter/focus eles can easily achieve 21 stacks of might for the entire party
Engis can easily achieve high amounts of might stacks for the entire party
It was a fix:
Lingering Magic: Fixed an issue that was causing this trait to be applied twice to your pet.
The trait was giving 100% boon duration for your pet before. Now its down to the correct amount of 50% boon duration.
Can confirm doesnt work in pve as well.
Was playing with Heal as One with cheesy boons. Blew up after eating a corrupt boon
No. You said:
“-No cap on the number of people that can blast it”
There is a cap on the number of people that can blast it. It reads right here https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Combo
" Only 5 unique combatants can combo with a given combo field.1"
And is also easily tested in game.
If you have 1 waterfield and 10 guardians with hammer 2 jumping to it you only get 5 blasts.
Ohhh okay. My bad. That changes everything.
Druid will get water fields as well. Also, not everyone may have their blast finisher ready to use in every water field.
Range is a big concern though. For support skills, all of them, a radius of less than 300-360 is too small.
Druid having water fields isn’t the point. It seems a waste that we have so many healing skills when we can plop down one water field [Tidal Surge] that is sufficient enough to heal everyone up.
I know Druid is going to be a huge supplementary to current builds, but I have doubts about support builds built around the elite specialization.
Water Fields vs. Druid Heals
Water Fields
-No cap on the number of times it can be blasted
-No cap on the number of people that can blast it
-No cap on the number of heal due to no cap on number of people that can blast it
-Most commonly used water field [Healing Rain]: 450 radius
Druid’s Skills
-Heal skills are capped to 3-5 targets
-Radius of druid heal skills: 120-360 radius
Anyone else think otherwise? Please explain how druid heals will be needed when there are more efficient ways of group healing.

I have full ascended:
-Clerics
-Apothecary
-Berserker
-Sinister
-Dire
-Rabid
-Celestial
-Cavalier mixed Assassins
across 8 rangers. So will be experimenting
Yea can confirm as well. Doesn’t interrupt the heals of sentries in WvW.
It seems buggy in PvE.
I wouldn’t jump on healing power gear just yet. We don’t know how well it scales. The baseline could be pretty good already.
Regarding the class:
1. Does the Astral Force bar need to be full to gain access to Celestial Form?
2. What is the cooldown for the Celestial Form F5?
3. Can you exit Celestial Form prematurely?
4. Does going into Celestial Form count as a weapon swap?
5. Will Celestial Form Glyphs share the same cooldowns with regular Glyphs?
Other questions:
6. How will Druids compete with zerker teams blasting on water fields?
Yea the Druid was nothing I had hoped for, but its not bad. Rangers still not gonna be picked up for dungeon/fractals, but I think we’ll see it used more often in WvW and PvP and maybe Raids depending how its designed
I have never EVER not been booted from a dungeon or fractal for being a ranger. I think this urban myth should just die already
I’m not saying that rangers will get booted from dungeons/fractals. Rangers are just… not as desirable as other classes?
They [pets] will get either 400, 700 or 1000 condition damage.
+ Expertise training + Companion’s might
2000 pet condi damage anyone?
Druid + Marksmanship
Moment of Clarity + Lead the Wind
Tag stuff with longbow
Even though they said zerker won’t be meta. I still have doubts. Can probably get away with zerker druid and still do enough heals.
Ditch the staff and the glyphs. Use survival/signet and non-staff weapons depending on power/condi build. Pick up druid trait.
You’ll have a pretty good selfish offensive druid.
I still don’t think Druids will be used in PvE instances much.

The livestream trivia is killing my hype lol
Actually slotted MDG for an hour while roaming in WvW. How the hell did the devs think this trait is overpowered back in the specialization stream???!!! Takes 9 kitteng seconds to get up to 9 stacks of might.
Have you tried main-hand axe? Pretty much the more they pump out clones the more you kick their backside up around their ears. Bounces see through invisibility just fine…
Yea I’ve tried berserker axe before. It improves your chances of winning by a little bit, but it still takes 2-3 hits to kill the clones since the axe AA has scales horribly with power. You’re still at a disadvantage.
The condi pu pretty much hard counters ranger. We have too few aoes to get rid of clones and we receive double the amount of conditions since a lot of their condi-applying skills will bounce between the ranger and the pet. It’s even worse if they trait for reflect on manipulation skills, even if you’re a condi ranger you still rely on quite a few projectiles to apply condis (s/t & a/d builds).
I disagree. You are comparing an elite skill to a utility skill. I’ll admit that Sic’Em is pretty limited due to its niche functionality, but elite skill are supposed to be semi-game changer abilities.
My concerns are that even if they do make druid a really interesting specialization – and maybe get us viable
- they’ll just drop any fixes and changes we really need because you know… They did a good job and they can take a cookie, not ever sticking their noses into our class again until they find we have something nice and nerf us back again (hello GS Swoop). If they fail – we’ll basically get a chance to rebel and fill their boxes with ideas how to fix things they did wrong, from the very core since that place is overflooded by problems and issues.
I’m really curious about who’s calling the shots to ranger nerfs like:
Shortbow range from 1200 to 900
Shortbow attack speed
The old [Vigorous Renewal] trait with Healing Spring that allowed it to pulse vigor
Greatsword double leap
I really didn’t understand these nerfs. They weren’t even overpowered. The second year after launch was the worst year for rangers if you guys recall. Nerfs like these came wave after wave at every balance patch that year.
I agree with Tragic. I am far more concerned with the core class balance than the Druid specialisation.
Spirits active need to proc on death
Move [Trapper’s Expertise] to Grandmaster and move [Most Dangerous Game] to Adept. Improve Trapper’s Expertise.
Hi rangers.
Long time necro here just wanted to pour my sympathy out to you guys and let you know I think it is kittening bullkitten that ranger is last to be released while other specialisations get to go through 3 beta weekends of constructive feedback whereas ranger will have one. I don’t even play ranger and I think this is stupid. Great job anet, letting down your playerbase once again.
/riot
1 beta week constructive feedback – 3 beta week constructive feedback – 3 years constructive feedback. It doesn’t matter, still the same outcome for rangers lol
Pet attack speed is low and the number of times they can successfully land their attacks is low as well. A single 6k crit evens it out into a pretty reasonable dps imo.
Not what I’d usually run but looks interesting. Got some sinister gear on my pve ranger, will give it a go
EDIT: Just tried it. Not bad. Rapid fire hits like 5k, applying 10 stacks of bleeds. If somebody gap closes, I can insta-stack up to 7600/s of conditions.
yeah if I was running either shortbow or axe or combo of those I would totally rock sinister instead ;-)
In a way I probably could but instead of sigil of corruption I would run sigil of perception and toxic maintenance oil (precision instead of condi dmg). So 350 stats.
according to wiki major stat vs minor stat is 420. 70 precision loss in marginal when it stays in condition dmg anyhow.
If you follow what I’m saying between rampager and sinister. Either stat set is completely fine if you balance out +precision from gear/utility buff to aim at 70ish% base critchance.
Yea, you get +10% crit chance for flanking and quite a fair bit of fury uptime. So thats a total of 30% crit chance already.

Rangers been a beta-ish class for 3 years. Its about time…
Instead of picking tiered levels in a dungeon (like fractal levels). Each instance type dungeons/raids should have extra challenges that will determine the tier of rewards you get.
With this design, people may choose to experiment with builds that aren’t zerker/sinister in order to achieve higher tiered rewards for the given dungeon/raid.
E.g. (see attached)
Sword’s combo is only as fast as running with Swiftness.
Count only the greatsword’s Leap (Swoop).Nope, we are pretty immobile. Your subject would be Eles and Guardians.
Those who are best at everything, naturally.
^ This. Ever since they changed how movement skills worked, the sword about face leap isn’t really worth doing anymore when you have swiftness/SoH.
TBH, I usually don’t agree with Heim’s ideas. But will bump coz I actually like these this time
Though… I still don’t really like the effects of Brutish Seals and Most Dangerous Game
Spirits should be changed to a coat that envelopes the pet. That way we don’t have an issue with “the petting zoo” and immobile buffs.
I put my ascended gear/legendaries, extra sets of runes/sigils in my bank prior the beta testing.
Trapper runes doesn’t work with the trap heal skill [Purification]. You will not gain stealth + super speed.
And what happens when you master all masteries?
Oh okay, so you get nothing from lvling past 80 right now since mastery systems still not in place?
What about the people that aren’t buying HoT?
So filling up the EXP bar after you’re passed Lv80 doesn’t give you any spirit shards… So whats the point of having an EXP bar after 80?
The “+20% Experience from Kills” infusions can only be used by Lv80 characters. Will we be able to get a refund for these infusions?
EDIT: I just leveled up 3 times in an hour using +20% Experience infusion, celebration booster, and exp booster on an 80 character. Didn’t get a single spirit shard.
Sinister gear with axe/torch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVQnUXrh0n0 (build specifically for pve)
I’m thinking maybe 1 AR = 1 Fractal level? So 100 AR for 100 Fotm?
[Throw Torch] cooldown is not affected by [Ambidexterity] trait. Both traited and untraited have the same 15s cooldown.
Can we please revert the animations on the Royal Ascalonian Longbow back to this https://youtu.be/_sHZ4qAfeWk?t=1m55s ?
LOYF and MDG are so bad lmao
I have trouble with condi mesmers. Their stuff keeps bouncing between me and my pet and I can’t do much about it. I just accept the fact they hard counter rangers.
Only if you’re using birds coz they’re more consistent. Other pets are likely to miss their taunt since they will do it instantly when you press F2. Due to the small radius of taunt, they will most likely miss. Birds on the other hand will track down their target before using taunt.
Birds or canines. With a wolf you can chain 3 hard CCs in a row.
Yea I know. But I’m preferring birds over canines now. I’m finding canines’ taunt harder to land due to the F2 telegraph + small radius. Birds taunt pretty much land every time.
