I just finished twilight arbor and got an oversized tonic. I used it on my asura engineer with a backpack and now he’s a tree looking dude with a backpack floating between his legs. Just wanted to mention it, not a game breaker.

This game wants each player to be responsible for keeping themselves alive, but for those of us that are support minded, the party UI is useless. Most of the healing abilities are AOE so looking at the UI and then figuring out which person that is on my screen during a fight means that person is dead by the time I can cast.

Coated bullets for P/S?

I don’t have the trait yet, but a normal pistol shot will hit a target and explode. The explode will damage enemies around the target. With coated bullets, the bullet will go through targets and make an explosion each time it goes through a body. So if you have two targets in a straight line, the first target gets damage from the pistol shot and the explosion from the bullet hitting the second enemy. The second target takes damage from the explosion from the first target and then the bullet hits him after as well.

I like to have my camera a little above my character looking down at the action. The problem with asura is that you can’t look down at the action because they are so short. I’m constantly having to lower the camera so I can look up at what’s happening. I would like ANet to move the camera center from their head to something a little higher.

Whenever I pick up an unidentified dye, I just use it right away without really looking at it. I was wondering if the game stops you from using a dye item that you already have?

The integrated cards on intel chips are built into the cpu and do not occupy an actual slot on the motherboard. If it is a desktop, then you can pop in any graphics card and go into bios to switch it over.

Less events in starting areas?

Some events start on their own, but there are some that need to be started by talking to the NPC. With less players running around starting areas, it would imply less people talking to them. It’s possible many of these events were occurring while you were walking by and were started by other players.

I don’t know if older letters get deleted if your inbox gets too full, but you can’t actually delete letters with money in them until you collect it.

This is one of the reasons why engineers aren’t using turrets. In a game where mobility is important, a static turret is useless. Another reason is that they are super fragile. I personally only use the healing turret.

Currently, the cooldown on turrets start when it gets destroyed or picked up. This gives engineers a big handicap when trying to deal with many short fights like when we are exploring or a mobile boss fight. We kill a mob, pick up turret, and then have to wait up to a minute before we can fight again. My suggestion is to have the cooldown start as soon as you drop it down and then if you place another it will destroy the first.

I don’t know if this problem affects the other classes other than engineer. During a fight, I tend to try and pick up loot because to save time and in dungeons the rest of the party is halfway to the next fight. I run into the problem of picking up my turrets unintentionally. With the way turret cooldowns work, they don’t start until you pick them up so now I have to wait 20-45 seconds before I can use them again.

What I’m suggesting is have an option to allow loot to just go into your bags when you walk into range without having to press the loot key. Some might say that this will only enable botters but I don’t think that coding in the spamming of the F key for botters was much of a deterrence to begin with.

I like the idea of being able to replay personal story missions. What about the choices that you didn’t pick? I guess that should be something left for your alts to do.

I think the hammer for engineers is a great idea. There would finally be something to use with bombs which is essentially an exploding melee weapon. I hate using bombs right now because everything else I use is ranged

How to fix insane high gem prices

I don’t understand why players complain about high gem prices. This is a player driven supply and demand economy. Why should ANet be regulating this? People spent actual money on the supply of gems. They can spend it however they like and that includes getting what they feel is a good value in terms of gold for the gems. The price will naturally go up as like any real world economy with inflation and more disposable income.

The gem system is all about convenience. If you value your time then you can spend real money on gems to get gold and save time. If you don’t value your time then grind the gold to buy the gems. The lack of subs require that income come from somewhere and I would prefer not to have Monster Energy Drink billboards in Lion’s Arch.

You can turn on the option for fast ground targetting or something like that. It will throw the grenade at what wherever your mouse is when you activate and not show the targetting circle.

Cross Zone Dynamic Events

My suggestion is for events that take place across more than one zone. I don’t know if they exist already because I’m still level 46 on my first character, but I think it’s a neat idea. I think the meta events in zones reset a little too quickly and because these events are a little bigger in scope, I don’t think they should occur as often as the existing events. Maybe 2 or 3 times a day.

An example would be like pirates landing off the coast looking for buried treasure. The treasure hunting party could be like a champion boss, some veteran officers, and regular mob minions. They will start at their ship at the first zone and then start moving to certain “camping” spots in other zones where they start an event. They can raid the local town for supplies or kidnap peasants for slaves. These spots would be predetermined but I think the order that they choose to go to do them in should be random. It can be explained with the pirates being lost and are just wandering or some funny story about finding the map in fortune cookie. Eventually, they will reach one of these random “camping” spots and they will start digging for the treasure. Once they have the treasure they will start to travel back to their ship and leave. If players are able to defeat this group before they get back to their ship then a chest would drop. The reason for the random camping spots is to prevent players from camping the final treasure spot.

There’s a bug(or maybe intended) that the regen from the healing tower drops to 5hp/sec when the tower is gone.

I’ll help people that ask for it in chat or if I see someone dying in front of me, but I won’t group up with strangers. I like to explore and talk to all the named NPCs to read their dialogue text and I know most players don’t care about them. Something that pisses me off is when I complete a heart before I can get to the heart NPC to talk to him. I hate not knowing the reason doing them and they just thank you if you talk to them after.

One of the biggest reasons wowhead is so comprehensive is the addon that can log item pickup info from players and then sends it straight to the site.

The healing turret reapplies its regen buff every 7 seconds or so. When you activate cleansing burst, it’s not instant. It continues following the 7 second cycle and applies the cleansing burst the next time it would be reapplying regen.

Has anyone been finding the cleansing burst on healing turret to be a little…….intermittent?

I’ve been testing it and haven’t seen this actually work all morning. It goes on cooldown just fine but there is no heal nor condi removal.

What are my options?

I personally hate switching between so many kits. I use pistol and shield with the elixir gun and stack on condition damage/toughness/precision. I do like explosives so I carry mines as well.

I get this problem too. It only happens when some characters are talking in the personal story quests. I’ve had the same thing happen in diablo 3 but that was everywhere in the game especially when there was fighting. The only way I could get it to stop was to turn down the bass and treble in that game. It hasn’t bothered me enough here yet.

I’ve been playing an asura and going through Metrica province and Brisban wildlands and the one one thing that’s bothering me is the lack of explaination for who or what some of the NPC factions are. I’m the kind of player that stops to talk to most named NPCs that I run across to understand the general story of the zone and they usually talk about stuff related to a nearby heart or dynamic event. I can usualy piece together what’s happening from the hearts and dynamic events. It’s good to know about what they are doing there but I have no idea who they are. An example would be in Metrica where I stumble on a Lionguard fort. Talking to their NPCs, they are under attack by Inquest but who are the Lionguard? Sometimes the heart guy will answer questions for you, but if you finish the heart and then talk to him they only thank you and sell you stuff and can’t get any info. I always have to look up stuff in the wiki page to find out.

My suggestion is to add some more dialogue options to heart NPCs or maybe the scout NPC when he reveals nearby hearts.
