It sorta is since it’s all the activites/quests that the devs have provided for us to play. I think they can easily reduce the number of achievements and bring things like the sample collecting achievements under an actual heart NPC. Finish all his tasks and he will offer the backpieces for some number of karka shells or karma.
Yeah, I guess I’m out for trying to get the Consortium Negotiator acheivement. I did all but 2 with the Settler buff (23/25) and now I don’t have enough (non crab and non JP) achievements to do under the Consortium buff. Rats.
You just need to do regular events not achievements with the buff on.
There are plenty of mesmers offering portals to the JP and sample in both overflow and home server.
You get an achievement just for loading into the crab arena. You don’t have to play or win for that one.
I don’t find that site very useful. Most of the armors look pretty ugly just by looking at that site because of the way the color dyes they use. Picking the right colors and mixing up different armor sets can make or break the look.
One issue is also the green arrow that shows you are not true 80. From my experience it makes you an immediate target especially in smaller groups. I’ve tried WvW several times with my L20ish and it is almost immediate death if you are in a group of say 3-4 and you run across a small enemy group of true 80s. I’ve had enemies run right past the players I was with just to wipe me out first for a quick kill. In the zerg you can try to hide in the middle at least.
You can also spot a non 80 right away from their mismatched colors and armor.
It’s even missing a POI that does pop up when you first go there. I think it’s called Steampipe Steading.
They just kicked off an event in a high level zone, everyone has dropped their alts and is out doing that. Last month’s event took place in low level zones and there were people everywhere.
If you are looking for a group, PM me and I’ll see if I round up some guildies and come over.
Speaking of this event in the shores, it actually upscales your level. I would suggest porting there from LA.
Don’t send a new person to his death!
If he’s looking for group content, that’s the best place to go. Southsun Cove is not that solo friendly.
Personal story quests are instanced and you need to party up with someone to bring them in. Events in the open world have replaced quests in this game and you need to explore the map to find them. The heart icons are like quests in that there is an NPC that tells you he needs something done, but act more as a signpost that have events in the area related to completing that heart. Scouts are NPCs with a telescope icon on the map and they will point out nearby hearts for you, but don’t rely on running from heart to heart as a way to level. Exploration to find events are the main source.

Dungeons are divided into story mode and exploration mode. You need to finish story mode once to unlock exploration mode. Story mode has a few cutscenes and NPCs follow along. Anyone else running it would usually be either first timer or someone experienced and willing to help. Speed run farmers would only run exploration mode because the higher level rewards are there.
You can still run exploration mode even if you haven’t done story mode as long as party leader has done it.

I don’t know if the bonfires are still there, but they are at the refugee camp on the beach.
Now that more and more interesting backpieces are coming out, the issue of tiny backpieces on asura needs to be addressed. There isn’t any extra artwork that needs to be created because each backpiece seems to be scaled to the body size of each character. I suggest that they simply increase the size of asura backpieces by at 50-100% of their current size.
The passiflora require mithril level tools and I think there is a minimum level to use them.
The naming system of gear is based on the stats they give and in what amounts.
Here’s the list http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Prefix#Triple_attribute
I think elementalists have a skill to drop an ice bow and fire sword for others to pick up and use.
There’s a new asura gate in southern Lion Arch that will take you there. I think you can still take a boat there from the Lions Arch harbor. You will see a sailbot icon on your minimap.
It’s a combination of things. A non 80 will be scaled up to have the same base stats as an 80 but you won’t have the same stats as them from gear.
-Higher quality gear at 80 gives them an advantage in stats
-Access to all skills
-A build designed for PvP and/or PvE combat
-Experience with their class and how to fight other classes

It’s pretty clear to me that no amount of information overload is going to help some players. During every stage of F&F, I still saw lots of players asking what F&F was and where it was taking place.
Some players just don’t visit the official site, browse the forums or wiki, read patch notes, open ingame mail, or look at their UI.IF you where solely to use the in game information you would find the amount of information disturbingly small.
If you’re playing the game off and on and not paying attention to anything except ingame info then this game is not a priority to you. It would mean you’re not looking outside of the game to read up on news, patch notes, or class builds. You are not investing any personal effort in this game and are just playing for fun and to kill time. Events that you miss should not be upsetting you because it shouldn’t be important to you.
If you are upset that you missed out on an event, then this game is a priority. You would not be relying on purely ingame info.

Exploiting vulnerable people? You mean people with poor self control and decision making skills? It’s like those fat people suing McDonalds for making them fat. This exists regardless of economic status. Rich and poor people can waste their money just the same.
You have to go to the area with the lava and destroyers to the west. There is a cave entrance under the heart NPC and she is down there.
You shouldn’t get a replacement for your carelessness. If you were making a new character to equip the fervid censer, shouldn’t knowing where the item is be a priority? This is no different than people that salvage their legendary or delete their character to see if they can unbind their soulbound equipment.

There’s the new Job-o-Tron asking one of the refugees employment questions at Southsun.
I know there’s a limit on how many Passiflora nodes you can mine per day. I’m wondering if this limit counts towards the Blooming Passiflora. If so, then I should be looking to mine only the blooming ones first and then finish up the rest with regular ones.
Server populations are based on the number of accounts on that server rather than online players. I’ve checked on weekdays at 3am and the populations are still veryhigh/full.
Don’t buy keys. Nothing inside is worth the money and the chance for rare drops is incredibly low. The first thing I bought with gems was the Molten mining pick. It was worth it for the savings in bag space and the looks. Bank tabs and bag slots are always a good buy. I’m waiting for them to go on sale and also any other unlimited gathering tools that might come out later. Fine transmutation stones are good too if you like to customize your looks with the right stats.

If there are a bunch of buy orders at the vendor+1c, maybe it won’t let you list at that price because that would just be selling to the highest buy order.
You have to think of the living world like events in the real world. You may not be present for many major events in the world, but you learn about it later from the news. It sucks that you missed it, but life goes on as with the living world. I would see this as a problem if we paid for the living story ahead of time and missed it or if they were to never release any more content. However, new events will keep coming and going like real life. Enjoy the ones that you can participate in.
I wasn’t here for the Karka event, but I visited SC during F&F because refugees kept talking about being sent there. They were already building stuff for the refugees.
Players who run out of room in their bags/bank put things on the TP with no intention of it getting sold to free up room. They list it at the minimum price to minimize the listing fee.
Probably an oversight. They can just remove the required level on this item.
I like the fire one more. The robotic arm in #1 doesn’t match the color for the rest of your armor.
Try contacting someone at http://www.guildwars2guru.com/ to post it on their front page.
What about putting it in the news feed on the login launcher window?
F&F has taught ANet if they release it slowly over 3 and a half months, they get complaints of players missing out on things because they couldn’t log in for 2 hours during that time. If they have things progress each week and change, then even more players will complain that they miss out.
It is a game mechanic. Sigils that apply an effect after a crit or weapon swap have a cooldown. This cooldown will stop any other sigils from your weapons with a cooldown from activating. It is best to only use one sigil with a cooldown and one without so that they do not interfere with each other.
Read this for more info:
You just invalidated your own argument. You want a prestige item that is hard to get so there are less players with it, but at the same time you want it to be easier to get so you don’t have to grind.
The new asura gate in LA does not say its destination when you highlight over it on the map.
-Berserker refers to the stat combination on the gear people are wearing. Level 60+ gear have 3 stats that they offer. One primary and 2 secondary. The primary offers more than the secondary. There is a different name for each combination. Berserker is geared towards maximum damage.
Here is the list : http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Prefix#Triple_attribute
-Indeed, zerg is a reference to starcraft
-Bunker seems to refer to builds that are designed to stay in one area and defend.
-Agony is only for FotM and doesn’t do anything outside of it.
-Item rarity chart: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rarity#Quality
There will always be something new to wear and even now I don’t see my server full of those fire gloves from the flame dungeon. There are also a lot of people that don’t care about achievements.
SLI in a laptop? I have a feeling it’s a heating issue.
As Chrispytoast said, it’s relative value that matters. What you’re asking for is just a 25% discount on everything in the store.
I salvage whites with basic kits. Vendor all blues and greens. I have found most rares sell for about the price of an ecto on TP so I just use black lion or master kits to salvage level 68+ rares and vendor anything lower. I check the selling prices of exotics level 68+. Most sell for much more than an ecto so I will TP them. If not then I will black lion/master salvage.
What is the level of your gear? You can only place upgrade components on items that have equal of greater level than the required level of the gem.
Topaz nugget has required level of 20. If your shoulder is a level 20+ item then it will go in. If your headpiece is level 19, it will not go in. This is to prevent players from putting higher level upgrades on weaker equipment to make themselves overpowered.

I don’t know too much about AMD cpus but your quad core is definitely not the problem. It’s the GPU. It looks like the 8200 is an integrated card on the motherboard rather than a dedicated GPU. It was meant for running windows and maybe watching movies, but not games.
Tom’s Hardware has a good list of pretty much all GPUs over the last 15+ years.

Here’s the wiki entry: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Upgrade_component#Types_of_upgrade_components
Gemstones, medals/talismans/crests – Universal
Jewels – Trinkets
Runes – Armor
Sigil – Weapon
You can see this glowing effect in the character selection screen. To me, it looks like a blueish light source coming from behind the character no matter where they are. It makes it really hard for me to check out the look of my character without having to open up the hero panel because the blueish glow in addition to whatever other sunlight throws off the colors.
If WXP is changed to be proportional to the amount of contribution/dmg to the kill, then sure I am all in favor of your suggestion, because I agree with the base issue.
If it stays the way it is now, everyone that tags get’s the same amount, which already devalues WXP too a meaningless level, then I would be opposed to the suggestion because it is already to easy to get WXP, making it so everyone in group gets it because one person in that group gets a tag… just too excessive, imo.
Overall how you earn WXP has made it meaningless to me personally so I am not sure why people even care that much? Outside of a few OP siege masteries the abilities are junk and since WXP rank directly correlates to how much of a zerger you are, what is the rush to have more?
Its the principle…
Why should players who “tag” as many targets as they can in a zerg fight get more WXP than the ones who cant "tag’ as many targets due to dropping CC and healing?
Every one should be treated equal, every one should be offered the same amount, regardless if they DPS or Support.
You have equal opportunity to attack and support. You only choose to do one of those while others are doing both.
You can leave a squad the same way you join. In addition to the chat command:
-open map and right click on commander tag and leave squad
-open party interface on top left and click leave squad.
I didn’t even know that existed. I just opened the options menu or turn on FRAPS.
