You’re suggesting a group of 5 people are pulling off a massive collusion scheme on the TP. You know why that can’t work, because there are probably 5000 groups of 5 players that can just as easily pull this off and each one will compete and undercut against each other until margins drop to nothing.
Ummm, now you are talking about collusion. I’m going to stop commenting on this thread and put on a tin foil hat.

Yeah he can, if he can make a profit above the listing fee, meaning for example.
By increasing the value of the legendary, he creates the false illusion of the item’s value. So in turn any items that is used part or in making this Legendary item (Which basically the whole set up of the Mystic Forge and Trade Skills in this game), can be increased as well.
So as long as the seller makes 150%, 200%, or 300% profit on the materials used to make this Legendary; that was based on the inflation value of a legendary in the first place; the listing fee is voided.
This would only work if they were the sole supplier of legendaries and its materials on the TP. The whole point of connecting the TP to all servers and players is that people can undercut someone overcharging.
I’m not disagreeing with you that there is a lot of market speculation on items. I’m disagreeing with you on the point that they are creating inflation through this.

Inflation occurs when the general level of prices increase in the economy due to a loss in purchasing power. Legendaries are one type of item and a extreme luxury good at that. Boeing can price their 787 jumbojet at 100 million dollars, but that does not suddenly mean that Walmart will start charging double on all their products. Legendaries/Boeing 787s are not used as a benchmark for price levels because they are a speculative luxury item.
He can’t freely increase the price of the Legendary. That is why there is a 5% listing fee. That 3200g legendary would cost him at least 160g+ each time he relists.
You realize that the value of an item is not the price being offered, but at the price it gets sold. There is no inflation involved here. Just greedy players overcharging on impatient players.
[Now what I learned is that to cause inflation, you play this little game called, “I think I can sell this for a higher price” or “Hype of the value of an item threw Rumors and deceivement”.]
This is also not inflation. This is called market speculation.

Every class is going to say that jack of all trades line. You already know that there’s no true tanking, but every class can do it. You just need to adjust your mindset of a tank as a damage sponge to damage prevention and survivability. Learn to dodge, throw on protection buffs, get some vitality or toughness gear, and use slowing abilities to kite.
So here’s my suggestion:
New unique backpacks for our class that act like signets. Gives a passive bonus when not in use, but has an active skill. These new skills would take up a utility slot or maybe allow it to be in elite slot. These could be ascended level or maybe even legendary items. Examples would be a proton pack that gives extra power or a rocket pack for extra movement speed.
The population status is how many player accounts are on that server, not how many are online.
The confusion damage reduction only affect static shot for me. It was great to bounce it off of a ranger and pet or thieves trying to burst. On the flip side, hopefully this tones down mesmers.
I don’t use bombs or grenades so I’ve never tested it either.
I don’t know what the actual range number on it is, but it is melee range. It will push back anyone close enough to hit it. From the wiki, it says melee is around 130.
I don’t see the big deal with the Incendiary powder trait change. I’m using a condition build without grenades and I’ll still be able to keep burning up with blowtorch from pistol and Incendiary powder and 30-70% condition duration.
I was concerned when I was listening to the changes on that SOTG. There is still no reason to keep it out longer than the inital drop. The only effect this has is that we now have to press the heal skill key one extra time before detonating and we get cleanse on top of that.
(Assuming 0 healing power)
Before:
Heal on deploy: 4,920
Detonate: 1,320
Now:
Heal on deploy: 2,460
Overcharge: 2,460 + 2 conditions removed
Detonate: 1,320
The healing turret change is the only thing I’m concerned about. One of those dev guys said he mained engie so I’m confused when he said most pick up their turret when they actually detonate. And they also mentioned they wanted to make the overcharge generate a water field which it already does since it only goes off when the turret refreshes regen. Who actually relies on healing overcharge to cleanse? You have to stand still and pray that your turret survives the 1-8 seconds that it takes to actually go off.

I don’t think it shows the reduction on the tooltips, but as soon as you use it you will see that the countdown timer is shorter. I only have 10 points in it and it works for me.
For all you that have mega rigs but are not getting your super performance, would you happen to be running SLI/Crossfire? I’ve always avoided multi-gpu setups because lots of games just have problems with them. I’d rather drop more money on an single expensive card because it is much more reliable. At 1080 resolutions, multi-gpus really aren’t needed.
Don’t forget to update your drivers
I think most people know this and NO, this doesn’t help even a bit
Most people actually don’t. They buy a laptop or premade PC from a department store, take it home and start using it.
Do you have a SweetFX that Won’t crash the game I can download?
I can’t do much about that. Could be some sort of hardware incompatibility. I’m running an i5 750 cpu and amd 5850 gpu. I’ve been using it for 6 months and got my friend to use it too and he loves it. All I did was d/l and extract to the game folder and it works.
I’m sure you’ll still be blaming us when it keeps happening after we’re not matched up anymore. Griefers exist on every server, it’s not some conspiracy to bring down your server.
There’s not a lot of variety to the temple armor. As a condition-based engie, the only real choice are rabid gear that have condition damage, precision, and toughness. Most of them can be purchased from the vendor at the waypoint right outside Arah dungeon. The headpiece will need to come from temple of balthazar and the boots from grenth. The problem is that most temples are usually contested so it may take some time to actually be able to buy them. Try guesting on other servers to see if they have open temples.

Try using SweetFX on GW2 with user made presets. Makes the game look much nicer and sharper.
I don’t understand why all of your examples are non-MMOs. You can’t compare the two. I played SWTOR for a while and I was getting bad performance at max settings and if there were more than 20 people on screen the game would run like the 100+zergs in GW2. WoW had pretty good performance but the engine is so old and the graphics aren’t very detailed that it doesn’t really tax modern PCs. It does have culling even though it does it more subtly than GW2. There’s also no areas in WoW where you would have such a large number of players running around casting. I haven’t played in a few years but raids were only up to 25 players. The only place I would imagine a large congregation of players would be the hub cities.
I’m constantly fiddling with the graphics and my 3 year old comp run everything at max at around 35-60FPS depending on the area. It’s only zergs in WvW that bring me to <20. I find the biggest drop in FPS for graphic settings comes from “Use best texture filtering”. When it comes to the culling settings, the quantity of detailed model settings actually gets me a bigger boost than the number of players shown.
If I have more than 5 conditions on me, it usually means several enemies are focusing on me and new conditions are getting applied as soon as I cleanse.
It would be cool if they changed Elixir C to convert all conditions received for 5 seconds into boons.
I was reading over the AMD catalyst 13.4 release notes and saw this.
-Significantly improves latency performance in Skyrim, Boderlands 2, Guild Wars 2, Tomb Raider and Hitman Absolution
The game has always run fine on my machine, but any improvement is good to have. Anyone notice a difference after installing?
That site is great for finding groups for anything. Just copy the name you see on the post and then type /w and paste their name to whisper that player. One thing I do recommend before you join a dungeon is to get the waypoint outside so that you don’t join the group and then have to run there on foot.
Did you even read his post? He said he’s looking for a sigil that procs on crit. A weapon swap sigil doesn’t count.
Once you target the mesmer, don’t change targets and you will always be aiming at the real one even if he makes clones. They have a skill to go stealth for a few seconds and I just back off. Clones will either stand still and autoattack or run straight at you. Wait until you see one of the clones moving away from you or dodging and that is the real one. When they go down, it seems like they can make clones still. When real players go down, they have red arrow hovering over their body. Clones don’t.

Sigil of earth. It has a high(60%) chance on crit for 5 second bleed and only 2 second cooldown. You can stack a few bleeds on its own or if you have condition duration.
Sigil of accuracy for the other hand. Extra 5% crit chance and no cooldown to interfere with sigil of earth.

I get invites sometimes when I am in the WvW JPs or after a 1v1 fight, but I don’t know how to do it myself.
Doesn’t http://www.gw2spidy.com/ already show updated prices for items on the TP?
Go with either warrior or guardian. You can have a working build, which doesn’t require that much key presses.
Avoid engineer at all cost if you want to avoid key presses. Playing engineer effectively requires much more key presses than any other profession.
I disagree on this statement.
Engineers don’t need the toolbelt skills (f1, f2, f3 and f4) to be succesfull, just like a guardian doesn’t need them. They are just a nice addition, besides that they don’t have a weapon swap button, actually giving them the same amount of buttons as the guardian.I only sometimes use my F1 skill on my guardian to give other players a bit of healing. What your ssaying only goes for certain engineer builds wicharen’t more effective as others.
The one with the least amount of buttons is the Thief (only weapon swap, F1, 1 to 0)
Engineers need toolbelt skills to be effective. Some of our utility skills are terrible and only picked because the toolbelt skill is awesome.
As for the OP. All the classes are limited to the same number of skills. Theres a few extra on certain classes but it’s only a hassle if you don’t rebind your keys to something comfortable for you. Using the default number keys is not preferred.

Even if you reset the ranking, in a few weeks or months they will end up generally where they are now. You can pretty much look at the rankings as a measure of the server’s WvW population and its ability to provide 24 hour coverage.
With the current 3 server matchups, if you are second place in your tier each week then you are where you are supposed to be.
If you are on top or bottom of the tier then you will always either be dominating a lower tier or getting crushed in a higher tier.
This is a pointless thread. OP is just trolling. Close it.
Or you can just whisper them and ask. I saw someone with a cool back piece in WvW and asked them what it was and they said it was the fractal capacitor. I’ve never run fractals before but now I’m interested in this item.
I’m against this because this will only encourage gear/build checks in groups.
I’m not a fan of fighting krait now that they’ve been buffed a bit. Plus I tend to patrol the waters of BL hunting for players busy fighting krait.
I keep all the ones that I report on my friends list until they are offline for at least a week. It seems like they don’t do anything unless they get more than a few people reporting. I usually get my friend to report them as well.
I’ve never tried tPvP but I don’t see a big problem here. Any good player that rerolls and starts out with a new character will win a lot and get pushed to higher tiers quickly. If they reroll and are terrible then they will lose and stay in these lower tiers because it is appropriate. It’s a win/win. ANet gets money and lower tiers get more people playing.
I’m not sure if this is related but there’s if you get interrupted while casting golems/supply drop then you see it drop down and disappear.
The wiki is there for a reason.
I’m a P/P condition build as well and there are plenty of crit procs for us.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild
Every guild starts with a limit of 50.
What I do when I alt-tab is uncheck the mute sound when running in background. Once I start hearing myself getting attacked, I come back in.
I was in a one man guild and just playing the game normally has gotten me a guild bank. I now have a friend playing and we’re going for the next guild bank size.
Anything that keeps you from dying is a leveling build. You should be using this time to experiment and figure out what works for you so that when you hit 80 you know what you want rather than always following someone else.
I started playing the game with the Karka trial weekend and the server I picked is the same one I have now.
I didn’t know you could even switch pistols after you get the stack and still keep it. There is a shared cooldown between the sigil of earth and sigil of battle. What I prefer to use is one sigil with a cooldown and one without so there is never a problem. A sigil of earth for the cooldown and the sigil of accuracy for permanent 5% increase to critical chance is what I use. If you play WvW, it is a waste of time trying to kill things to reach 25 stacks and you can die easily and lose it. The sigil of accuracy bonus will always be there.
