wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
Can’t talk about warhorns, since I don’t really use them much, but personally I do like the hammers and depending on the skin, there are several that look and feel VERY heavy.
http://dulfy.net/2013/01/20/gw2-hammer-skins-gallery/
I do agree that there are some that look more like greataxes than hammers, along with some that intentionally look like something else (maces, anchors, candy canes), but still I like the variety so far.
And I know it’s subjective, but personally I disagree that all hammers are thin and lacking impact, specially when comparing it to a RL sledgehammer or a real warhammer.
You’re welcome.

Just one hint. Do not choose the pistol. thats all…
Why not the pistol?… my mesmer is loving his.
In case anyone wants to level up armorsmith quickly for the armors:

It’ll cost you a little over 9g (with the posibility of recovering a little over 1g by selling the results) to go from 0 to 400 following that guide, assuming you don’t have any of the materials and buy them all from TP.

I’m going to make a bossbattle playlist with nothing but this on it..
Found the exact quote:
“Eric Flannum: Each of the five races has unique skills available to them. Our philosophy behind the design of these racial skills is that they are slightly weaker than equivalent skills determined by profession. While they may be less powerful, the racial skills capture the flavor of each race and provide additional options for the player. For example, a human playing a profession that normally doesn’t have a good way of dealing with conditions could take the ‘Prayer to Kormyr’ racial skill, which removes a condition but is a fair bit weaker than comparable skills provided by a profession specializing in condition removal. By doing this, we hope to give the various races access to skills that make them feel unique without making them overpowered when played as a particular profession. – See more at: http://guildwars.incgamers.com/blog/comments/guild_wars_2_interview/#sthash.YcrZ8DiO.dpuf "
That was on februaru 22, 2010, long time before the game release.
What? So they’re pretty much saying “don’t use those useless utilities/elite skills and stick to profession specific ones”? Where’s dat link cuz this is completely stoooopid
I’ll try to find the exact quote if it’s still availabe, since it was long before the game was even released. Basically what they said was that the racial skill and utilities were meant to be less powerful than the profession ones, and were mostly to add flavour to each race.
That being said, if you want your mesmer to use it, they’ll only be able to use it in sPvP since PvP items that go in the PvP locker are for PvP only.
I know this is off on a tangent…..but what’s the difference? Doesn’t it all happen in the same area (heart of the mists)?
sPvP is short for Structured PvP, if you’ve ever played WoW think of it as battlegrounds. Basically small scenarios where you and a small team fight against other team of players, in the heart of the mists you can join matches.
In sPvP all gear is normalized, basically all your gear has the stats of the best level 80 gear in game, and all characters are upleveled to 80 and all traits and skills unlocked, regardless of that character’s level or gear in PvE, PvP gear basically works as unlocked skins to customize your character the way you want it to look. When you get a piece of PvP gear what you do is that you “unlock” that gear’s look on your account, so if you get a light armor piece, for example, go to the heart of the mists, add that gear to your PvP locker, and any character you have or create from that point on that can use light armor can pick that piece while on sPvP.
Personally I want the helm, but I’m trying to save for it. I have some gems saved I’ve bought for gold over the lifetime of the game when I saw them cheap (I was intending to buy a new char slot and bank slot eventually, but since I’m a slow leveler I still haven’t filled the slots and bank as it is, using one character as a bank mule), I’ll wait to see how many scraps I manage to get until the event is closer to completion and see if I buy the rest.
We might see it in the future, I guess. When you talk to Mai on the cell in fort marriner she does warn to watch the skies, so I’m guessing that the aetherblade will return in future living story issues.
Unfortunately your options are limited to either talk to your ISP, go to a different ISP (not always an option) or use a tunneling service which might have monthly fees.
The one I know is battleping, http://www.battleping.com/ , that seems to have servers in germany, but it’ll cost you some money ($5.45 a month or $14.95 for three months), reading their website they have a free trial that will disconnect you every 20 minutes but will let you see how does it work, and they do list GW2 as a supported game.
They’re PvP weapons and armors, meaning you can use them as skins on sPvP. Go to the heart of the mysts, go to the right, and there you’ll see the PvP lockers, open one and deposit them, then you can just wear them on any char you want while in sPvP.
From that dulfy page you linked
“A whole selection of Zenith weapon skins will be available, not just the five shown below. You can pick only one skin to unlock per achievement chest. "
Think of the childr…eeer.. low level characters that are going broke over waypoint costs!!! Vote Kiel!!!..
(Also I didn’t have a chance to try the AR dungeon so I want it to come back..
)
there was a show? I just got there saw the assistant standing by himself and sudden I got an achievement.
That was a bug, I got it like that as well. People were getting the achievement sometimes by just going by the area without the show (I actually thought that the show might have ended while I was walking nearby when I got it and I hadn’t noticed it), just like in the dragon bash people were getting the dragon helmet skins in overflows before the fireworks were activated.
It was fixed in last night’s hotfix.
According to some DAT files mined, Evon is offering cheaper black lion keys and the return of the molten facility dungeon in the fractals, while Kiel is offering lowering waypoint costs and the return of the aetherblade retreat… sooo…
KIEL FOR COUNCIL!!!..
i think it cant be dyed because of the particle effects, no other particle effects can be dyed in the game, not yet.
lazy? they have just released 3 armor sets with versions for all races (helms etc differ slightly) in both male and female versions, as well as new weapons skins every month, with 2 last month however un-obtainable as of yet from the aether blades.
how can you begin to think that’s lazy?
on a side note there are so many particle effects that the skins are pretty much that one big particle effect, the theme also (rocks on fire i think) and an angelic theme well…can go wrong with the same skins.
different types of skins for male/female and races would of course of been preferable but they are not lazy, not in a long shot there has been more content added in the last 3/4months than any other MMO out there (excluding expansions ofc)
It’s not the particle effects that make them no dyeable, IMHO.. the zephyrite helmet also has particle effects and is dyeable, and so were the molten gloves.
Trion has a simmilar system for Rift, they have a mobile app where you can use guild chat, contact list and even let you know of specific events when they happened.
Frostgorge Sounds to the north, it still has hearts and is very solo friendly. Plus you get the waypoint for the claw of jormag fight.
Every 1000 achievement points you unlock one weapon skin, so you’ll get it eventually.
Can’t really help you with a die name, but my advice would be to go to the TP, search for dye and start previewing. It’s hard to pinpoint a specific dye that would match a specific weapon because most dyes look different depending on the armor you’re using it on, and even depending on where in the armor you put them on. Heck, I like to mix and match sets for my characters, and sometimes I’ve had to use different dyes on different armor pieces to get them to match colors.
The event scales, so the 30 players that showed up for the boss didn’t negatively impact the previous events of the chain. If anything they helped you with the final boss. And, trust me, if it’s the Ulgoth chain and you struggled with the prior events, you needed that help badly. Nobody forced you to do the other events, and nobody made them worse for you either.
I am sure that they helped a lot. 5 people against Ulgoth likely would have been a fail. That really isn’t the issue though. It would have been much more fun to have the people playing along for the event chain. It needed not be a struggle. There were clearly people available.
Plus, I was asked what event i was doing this time. I’ve seen it plenty of times on others. You argue that no one forced me to do the event. True enough. I do events because I like doing events. they are much more fun with more people.
I so see and agree that there is an issue here.
There are several chains where people stand around waiting for the final boss, but don’t bother helping with the pre-req events to get that boss to spawn. I do agree that something should be done to get more people to help on the pre-reqs, especially if there is only a small group and they are struggling; however, I’m not sure what could be done that wouldn’t potentially harm innocent bystanders.
I guess wonky scaling of some pre-events are also responsible for this.
For example, the shatterer pre-event to recover siege scraps, lots of people are usually asking others NOT to go do it if there are already people doing it, mainly because it takes longer. You have to pick up siege pieces that spawn on the ground and sometimes drop from the ghosts in the area, thing is, the amount of siege pieces needed to complete the event scale up, but the spawning points and drop chance remain the same. More people means you need more pieces to hand in, but the same amount are being spawned, which makes it last longer.
Can’t talk about the voiceovers and in-game text, since I play it in english, but the spanish version of the website is good enough, but be aware that it’s heavy on spain slang. That’s the difficulty of spanish localizations, the slang in Spain and among the several latinamerican countries can be very different, which is why I usually prefer to play the games in english even if there’s a spanish version available (I’m in Venezuela)
I find it annoying when I’m watching a show with no accent at all, and when a character tries to sound funny suddenly has a heavy mexican accent when he previously didn’t have one (and it’s something I’ve heard all my life).
And BTW, guardabosque is a proper translation for ranger, at least in the sense of the game, the way it’s used today in spanish is to designate people that keep guard on forests. Think of Ranger Smith from Yogui Bear, in spanish he’s the “Guardabosques Smith”. Also in the spanish versions of Lord of the Rings, Aragorn is called a “guardabosque”
Unless it specifically says it increases condition damage, then no, it doesn’t increase it.
In my experience what happens is that in most big boss DE’s there’s usually a pause between the last pre-event and when the boss shows up (except on some of the level 15 bosses that die too fast), like in shatterer when the siege scraps event is done and the NPCs are on their way, when you finish fighting the centaurs for the champion centaur boss or even the 5 minutes wait on the fire elemental. Most people use that time to start doing callouts in guild chat and/or map chat that they couldn’t do before while doing the pre events, which is where that influx of people come from.

I understand the aggro system in game. I just don’t understand why Gaurdians don’t have a signet that generates threat such as the paladins do in WoW. They’re Guardians after all, but the way the aggro works in this game, anyone doing more damage then the Guardian takes aggro. The aggro in PvE in this game would be a lot better if one of their signets generated threat, that way the squishy dpsers don’t get two shot by a skill they can’t dodge. All I’m saying is that the Gaurdians need more tanking ability, and the aggro system needs to be better.
The answer is simple, you’re not supposed to be tanking them in the first place. Guardians are not paladins.
While you might be able to tank from time to time, there’s no reliable way to get agro because the game wasn’t designed around the traditional trinity (with mixed success). Instead it’s supposed to use a soft trinity of damage, control and support, control being the closest one to tanking.
Using the guardian as an example, you’re not meant to be taking all the hits like a traditional tank, instead you should be trying to control the enemies so they’re not hitting your allies, and the guardian has plenty of tools to create builds to do that. Knock them out with hammer’s banish (actually one of my favorite guardian skills), zealot’s embrace to inmobilize them, create a ring of warding to either prevent them from getting to your friends or trap them in a specific area, along with other weapons like line of warding from staff (creates a line foes cannot cross), chains of light from scepter (inmobilizes foes), shield of absorption from shield that pushes foes back, and utility skills like sanctuary, wall of reflection and so on.
Hey look, more boxes
But at least this time you can still get the items if you open lots of boxes with no luck.
According to dulfy’s review there are two kinds of “scraps” in the boxes, the golden one that is rarer (I expect to be the “I opened thousands of boxes with no luck” rare), and the regular one that has a much higher drop rate (Dulfy talked about 10% or so), you save them up and then when you get enough, you can buy the skins you want.
At least it’s an improvement from the straight up low RNG chance we had before.
What I hate about the the 2 new armor sets is that it’s 3 pieces only.
You won’t see me putting effort making a legendary weapon or one of the many weapons you can make at the Mystic Forge. I get armor for stats and/or for how it looks, I get weapons for stats only. This game doesn’t give much attention to stats so no reason for me to put a lot of effort into making a weapon.
You’d think they would give armor the same attention they give weapons but for some reason they don’t.
The reason is simple…. weapons are easier. Making one weapon is basically a single model scaled up or down depending on race, while a set of armor is basically 6 independent models, of which they need to create at least 4 different versions of each (assuming male-female for human, norn and sylvari and male each for asura and charr, since females usually share the same armor).
I personally don’t know any mature players who like this style of gear.
I know plenty of mature players who like fiery gear. On the other hand, I don’t know any mature players who criticize other players’ taste in armor style.
I want a blood and bone armour set + weapon. It would look really cool and different.
You should check out the Godskull weapons. They’re bone themed, look cool, and not a lot of players use them.
All I want is for PvE versions of the armors that are currently only available for PvP.
Such as? I can’t think of any off the top of my head, but I’d love to check them out.
This set is available in sPvP but not in PvE so far:
http://argos-soft.net/GW2ArmorGallery/index.php?weight=1&race=2&color=10&sex=0&armorSet=voodooi
Also some pieces of the guild armors aren’t availabe in PvE either.
That said, I know quite a few people that could be considered old geezers that rock the firey themed armor… though I know that old isn’t the same as mature (and that’s coming from someone that considers himself old but not mature in the first place)..
As a side note, I think one reason they’re not creating full sets of these armors is because of WvW. One way to try to guess which profession an enemy is is because of their armor, and these new armors will share the look on all three kinds of armors.
The next mini game is a race. So achievement farmers will actually have to try to finish to get the achievement. As long as the achievements are tied to finishing the race and not just being in it.
Only two of the achievements are tied to finishing at a specific spot (one for the top 3, one for the first place, I guess if you do the second one the first one is also done by default), the others are for completing a race, picking up items and grabbing crystals
According to Dulfy, they seem to be at least experimenting with a system like that for the achievement skins:
“For every achievement milestone you hit that ends in three 0s, you can expect more rewards such as Zenith weapon skins (full set) and 3-piece armor skins (armor skins require higher achievement milestones). You are given a choice to pick between a number of skins and once that skin is unlocked, you can withdraw and use that skin as many times as you like (like HOM skins). "
Source: http://dulfy.net/2013/07/08/gw2-bazaar-of-the-four-winds-patch-overview/
Walking around the streets, a pigeon flies low above someone, I wonder whether they just filled a heart or something..
Reading dulfy’s guide on the new bazaar of the 4 winds event, and seems that is evolving in interesting ways.
Mainly looking at this one:
http://dulfy.net/2013/07/08/gw2-fortune-scraps-and-zephyrite-skins-guide/
So, the way I understand it is this.
There are golden fortune scraps, these seem to be the regular RNG system, if you get one, you get the skin, like the jade tickets. I expect the drop rate to be very low on them.
But then there are also regular fortune scraps. These drop from open world containers (kite fortunes, which can also be bought on gem store) or from mobs in the new area. While, according to dulfy’s guide, drop rate is still fairly low (10% is the mentioned number), it’s much higher than the jade tickers (for example), and then you can use 150 to buy a back piece skin, or 250 for the helmet skin. Note that if the 10% drop rate is true, it might mean you need to kill mobs/open containers 1500 times for a back skin and 2500 for a helmet skin.
So while there’s still a luck factor that someone might get a golden one in the first try and someone else might try thousands of times and not get one, there’s also a way to work up your way to get the skins, so we’re at least progressing there, IMHO.
They could do this as they did with prophecies, but to be honest I don’t see the point.
The name “World of Guild Wars” just make me think too much of trying to mimic “World of Warcraft”… and really there’s no rule that says that the sequel needs to be just like the original.
For example Aliens is completely different in feel and style than Alien (to name a movie), first one being more survival horror, while the second more action oriented, and if you come to gaming, there are no games more different than Dune and Dune 2 (any other old timer can say the same)
Dungeons start at level 30 (Ascalon Catacombs story mode, 35 for explorable), and a new dungeon is unlocked every 10 levels. When you reach the apropiate level, you’ll receive a letter with the dungeon introduction and location in your mail. It might be hard to find groups for dungeons if you’re just the right level, though, since they’re easier to do at 80, lots of PuGs only want 80’s on their groups, but can be done, specially with guild or friend groups.
All starting areas have big bosses at level 15, but with level 80’s doing them all the time they can get over rather quickly so you might probably miss them if you’re not there already. The big dragons you see in the preview are the Shatterer (level 50), and Tequatl the Sunless (level 65), plus you also fight the Claw of Jormag at level 80 (ice based dragon). Here you can see a list of events with a bonus chest attached to it, I’m sure you’ll find LOTS of people on any of those when they’re active:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bonus_chest#Bonus_Chest
Medium level areas can get lonely depending on your server, but sometimes if you can’t do an event you can just call on map chat and sometimes people will come to aid you, it’s a good idea also to link the closest uncontested waypoint when you do it (while typing, hit shift and click on it on your map). In my experience, though, at least on yak’s bend where I play, while there are fewer players in lower level areas, I usually find more than I did (for example) in lower level areas in WoW while leveling an alt, not sure how it is now that they merge the areas when they become empty.
As for PvP, you can jump in right now. There are two kinds of PvP, there’s sPvP (equivalent to WoW battlegrounds), when you go there you and your gear are leveled up to the level cap, and all skills and traits are unlocked, so whether you go in at level 2 or 80, there’s no difference, nobody has an advantage of gear or level there. When you get there you show up at a lobby, which is also a great place to do things like trying different builds when 80 (there are NPCs you can fight there).
The other form of PvP is WvW, which is basically a big on-going weekly battle between 3 different servers. You’re upleveled to 80, but your gear and skills unlocked remain the same, so you are at a disadvantage there if you fight 1 on 1 against a true level 80 (but not to the point of WoW where you couldn’t even touch it). However, if you stay with the groups you can still help. Usually it’s a good idea to look for the commander icons if you get there (blue square icon) and try to get to them, usually there are groups you can join.
Also, don’t be afraid to ask anything in game, so far I’ve found the community rather helpful (might be my server, though). Also, if you’re curious about anything, you can also type in game /wiki anything, it’ll load up a browser window with a GW2 wiki search of that.
Probably the most annoying thing about this game is that… every name is practically taken. This has led to people using accent marks in names, the problem with this though is a lot of people do not know how put them on so they find another player for parties, dungeons, etc. So here’s to hoping that this gets sticky’d so people can learn how to use them or, at the very least, be able to quickly look up the letter here. There are two sets I am putting up.

Also, when fighting claw of jormag, several champions are spawned around it (along with several veterans). Even if you don’t manage to kill them, they die at the end of each phase or at the end of the fight, and if you’ve done damage to them it counts as a kill. Also, attacking and killing them counts as event participation so you don’t miss on the chest.
Also depending on how active it is on your server, several events in orr spawn champions, like the penitent and shelter camp attacks and some of the temples.
For me, add things every 2 weeks, make them last 1 or 2 months at least (I’d rather be permanent)..
For example, the aetherblade dungeon. I haven’t tried it yet mainly because from what I’ve read, it’s hard (which is good in my book), but because of that, it can take more than an hour to do, which at least for me it’s bad because it’s rarely that I can have that kind of uninterrupted gaming time (older guy with wife and baby here). Heck, even with the flame and frost one, which is short, I had to get up for a couple of minutes at least twice.
I don’t want the dungeon to be nerfed, I don’t want it to be made shorter, I just want them to stay longer so I have more time to get to it and learn it on my own pace.
BTW, I’ll add my request to make the dungeon permanent, even if the rewards aren’t…. (maybe add the weapons skins as a drop or toke reward from it? hint hint).. .:)
Crafting can get you about 10 levels each profession, you can find several crafting guides on google, this one looks good:
It would be the fastest way if you’re willing to spend money, since it would also be the most expensive.
Other than that, faster leveling would be just exploring, doing hearts and events, and doing your personal story as you reach the appropriate level for each step. Another option is to join WvW and see if there’s a zerg doing the karma train, some guilds do it weekly and you can just join in.
Assuming simmilar builds, skill and gear stat distribution, I think (not sure on this) that it has to do with the equivalent level quality of the gear depending on level.
For example, at level 28 the best gear quality you have access to is masterwork (green), so if you have all green gear you already have the best quality you can get. Your girlfriend, at level 65 has access to rare (yellow) gear, so greens are a step below of the best gear she can get. I think the downscale system takes that into account.
I’m not big fan of firey armor, but I’d definitely wear some pieces on my guardian if I could only dye the flames blue
Sorry to tell you. Condition builds being bad have nothing to do with condition stack as rarely do stacks hit 25. Maybe warrior teams with 25 vuln, but removing that would make encounters only more lulz. It has everything to do with power being way better than condition damage. So removing the 25 limit would do nothing to change the meta.
My mesmer alone can very easily hit 15 stacks of bleed on its own in PvE (precision – cond damage – toughess gear, illusions apply bleed on crit + phantasms get fury which gives them 20% extra crit chance), and before the nerf on the underwater trident autoattack bleed, I could reach 25 underwater from time to time, and when doing open world bosses seeing all conditions capped all the time is the norm. I do agree it’s several things that currently make the conditions weaker than direct attack, but the cap does take a big toll, specially in dungeons if you have more than one condition applier.
WvW requires three servers, so…
This is the main issue. An official oceanic server couldn’t be properly matched against other servers, and there’s probably not enough oceanic presence to fill 3 servers.
i’m usually focused when im gaming…i never alt tab out for anything so i went with a much larger one screen monitor, rather than 2 smaller monitors……..
except for this one thing in gw2…
so idk about buying a 2nd 800-900 dollar monitor for something that should be coming in game soon…thus becoming useless after that
If you have a smartphone you can also get the lfg app, it’s what I do, at least.
Do you want not to be killed ? Run a thief.
Seriously…..
So what you are suggesting is that to do the achievement we should all create a thief and level it up in a week just for the pleasure of being able to get a ->PvE<- achievement?
I can only imagine what everyone else is thinking to that suggestion…
I don’t know, but the fact that they stuck the chest in a ->PvP<- jumping puzzle in a ->PvP<- area makes me think that the achievement is not a ->PvE<- one..
It’s a Jumping Puzzle… You go through the Jumping Puzzle to do one of two things… You either go through to complete the Puzzle, or you go through to grief other people who are only going through for Chest… If you are going through for the chest, then you have to deal with people who are griefing…
I play PvP, both sPvP and WvW… I go there consensually, and die when I die, and don’t cry about it. When I am introduced to an aspect of the game that is DESIGNED to grief other players, I call it out for what it is… A piece of content that is DESGINED to GRIEF players.
It’s a PvP jumping puzzle… you go trough it to do one of two things, to get to the end to contribute to your team’s effort with the rewards (which include siege equipment, for example), or to prevent enemies from contributing to their team’s effort, and being a specially designated PvP JP in a specially PvP area, it’s not griefing if PvP happens, it’s actually expected. Would be like saying that a veteran mob is griefing you in PvE because it’s not letting you grab the skill point, or that a dungeon boss is griefing you because it doesn’t let you go any further.
It might be unfortunate for some (myself included, as I’m the worst ever player in PvP and I can prove it by getting killed by anyone..
) that the achievement chest was placed in the PvP jumping puzzle, but the fact that it was makes it very clear that it isn’t supposed to be an easy achievement to obtain, and that mastery of different areas of the game (including PvP) is needed for it, and that it is NOT a PvE achievement, but a PvE and PvP one. After all, whoever you think is griefing you really has no way to know whether you’re going there just for the achievement or to get siege blueprints that might end up blowing up the wall of their keep for your server to capture, and doesn’t have to care either, if you’re there, whether you want it or not, you’re part of the war effort, and therefore a valid target.
It’s a PvP jumping puzzle, in a specially designated PvP area you have to intentionally go into, and with PvP rewards at the end that it’s in your best interest not only to get them for your team, but to prevent the other teams to get them… how is it griefing?
How I’d like them to be obtainable, from best to worse.
- Ticket obtainable after a set of solo and/or group instances, sorta like the journal from the dragon bash story. Further tickets available directly from the gem store.
- Ticket obtainably by achievements (either a single hard achievement or a meta like the holographic shattered wings). Further tickets available from the gem store.
- Weapons a direct drop from the bosses in the dungeon, chance not as rare because of the limited time of the dungeon. Ticket available from gem store.
- Direct sale of weapon skins or tickets from the gem store.
- Semi RNG system. RNG boxes drop from the open world and tradeable with the same drop rate than the dragon coffers, but with either a higher chance of a ticket, or always containing something like ticket fragments, where you can trade a large number of them (500, for example) for a ticket. If boxes are sold from the gem store as well, make them either have a guaranteed ticket, or at the very least enough fragments that you can get a guaranteed ticket from a small bunch of them (10 or so).
What I don’t want to see is gem store exclusive boxes with such a low drop rate of tickets that it’s common to buy lots of them and get nothing in return.
More options would always be nice, but I can see several armors that could work for a dark necro look. Check here:

Since you talk about the mary poppins look for cultural armors, I’m guessing you’re a human, since norn and sylvari get some good cultural armors that are not like that.
Also, remember you can mix and match sets to get a more unique look, and dyes can make a difference on how you look.
1: Arah armor
2: CoE armor
3: Twilight armor
4: Named armor
5: Dry bones armor
6: Tactical armor
7: Vigil armor
8: Whispers armor
I’d also add named armor (though mainly because I played an ritualist in GW1, so I like armors that cover the eyes like that)

Acolyte (specially the mask):

Two things.
First, you can bypass it… which might result in a suspension or a ban. From the forum code of conduct:
“Do not circumvent the word filter. The Support Forum, like the game, is filtered for appropriate language. Any attempt to circumvent this filter will not be tolerated including the use of “creative spelling” or of forum names or signatures that contain a word that is censored by the prohibited words filter.”

And second… you don’t have freedom of speech here. US laws for freedom of speech apply to congress and public places, this is a private forum, they don’t apply here at all, as they don’t apply in any private space, real or online. For example, you can call me a kittening kitten anytime you want, and there’s nothing I can do about it… but if you do it in my house, I have all the right to stop you from calling me that, or remove you from my house…
So in short… their house, their rules..
