Saw a level 8 engineer in the human tutorial area one run through, so some guys have the amount of patience to stay there forever…was quite annoying as he’d set his little turret up and kill things before you could get a hit in.
It was probably a bot, you get like 3 xp per kill or something, you’d need at least 10,000s of kills to get to that point without leaving the tutorial area, and probably more like 100,000s…
I don’t think it was a bot…if it was it was a closely watched bot. I hung around it for a bit, and I think whoever was running the engie noticed and moved away from the area I was in. Either guilt or scared of being reported, not sure.

People don’t get addicted to coffee the same way though. Are we really this pc that people can’t crack a joke now (see what I did there).
Can’t we just station the bots at the edges of Orr map (and other key spots, away from our DEs), so they can help cull the overabundance of Risen =)
GMs use your special GM portal skills and zap the bots in the corners of the map for us.
Repair costs in pvp is off-putting. More people would jump into pvp without these.
+1 to no repair costs.
Carrying that on to Orr though, what I would have liked to see is essentially massive, shambling zergs. 1Ø times as many risen, moving shoulder-to-shoulder as a giant wave you have to cut through. Make them less obnoxious and less resilient to compensate for this, but make it actually feel like a rotting nation of the dead rather than just a dreary-looking enemy kingdom. As it stands, they’re just a zombie-themed version of Kournans or White Mantle, or any other enemy military.

Just make them easier to kill, let us plow through them, but let the shambling herd keep coming. But you can’t make tons of them, give them fast repops, AND give them hard hits and high hp.
Also make them visually scarier (make bits fall off them when we hit them – like in Hellgate London oO) and more diverse in appearance, and have them say less of the “over here!” crap.
Gawd I hope not, as far as I know I’ve been getting the rewards. What happens to you – does the gold etc medal come up and you just don’t get the karma/xp, or does the event just end without any medal popping up?
The xp/karma is applied before accepting the medal btw, so adds itself automatically. Same with the heart quest – should just stack on by itself.
@OP – do you like personal achievements? Or are you just into more powerful gear than other people? Seems you don’t like hard to get gear just for its own sake (dungeon skins)…so what’s your idea of a good carroting?
Love to stay and chat with the OP, but let’s just keep it short and sweet – too bad, the game isn’t going to make changes for you. The game is designed around having no gear disparity. Learn to play with these rules – if you’re so much better than a casual I’m sure you can learn to handle it :P
Just wanted to add that with the pvp in this game, playing without gear disparity IS skill, and OP is the one who wants easymode by farming his dungeons then pwning it up in pvp with his imbalanced farmed gear. We see through you.
Completely disagree with the OP. This game is a different game, one which most of us came to play specifically because of the no gear disparity thing. In my opinion, there is already too much gear as it is.
Jeez OP – you should’ve researched the game first before buying. Took you two days of playing and $60 to realise what you could’ve learned after a free 5 minute search on google.
Should be allowed to discuss the possibility there’s been some hasty moderation with the community, although be aware OP you’re risking trouble by making a thread talking about a closed thread. I would imagine this will be closed, though I hope the decent mods see this and not the rogue mod whoever it is, so they don’t go nuts on it.
Items are random as far as I can tell. You’re at the mercy of the RNG.
TBH I don’t see why you can’t just AOE the same area everyone else is.
Just for your information: some classes (ie mesmer) can’t aoe effectively. Not enough time to send in a clone bomb for aoe, because all the mobs are already dead: those clones take forever to run in and get to the target. And the main aoe we have is on such a long cooldown. It sucks.
Try playing a mesmer in DEs :/
Yeah completely agree – would be a good idea to be able to pick up the skill icons and place them where we like on the hotbar.

@lollie mods can make mistakes, misread things, or misclick and remove the wrong post by accident, particularly on a very busy forum. If you think a decision was incorrect, just sent a polite PM to the moderator involved.
I tried – you can’t pm mods, had to send an email to Arenanet.
I wouldn’t say they’re agressive. Compared to some forums I wouldn’t even call them strict. But then yes they are stricter than some other forums.
As far as I know for most minor infractions there are no consequences other than the post getting deleted, so I just shrug it off and try to remember what they didn’t like for next time.
The thing is, I don’t get what their brand of issue is, look above at an example of total wtf with a removed post.
Why don’t they just download/buy all the bot programs and fix the code that way?
I’ve reported the mods to Arenanet, hopefully they get investigated. Had one post removed that said “Err this thread is about Orr, not dungeons”, posting to someone who didn’t get the thread topic (the thread was about Orr – https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Frustration-level-is-so-high-it-s-simply-lame/first). What was wrong with that, I don’t understand.

Orr is a poorly designed zone, looks like they ran out of time on this one and copy pasted everything until it became a a zergfest.

You can’t properly kite dodge and roll in Orr area, which is how we’re supposed to play the game, because of the mob density/respawn rate.
This is obviously a total ballsup.
@the guy above. Either you only run in the DE zergs, play pvp and nothing else, or don’t care about moving across maps quickly as you do in any other normal game.
Or haven’t got to L80 yet. Or just trying to flex your kitten (and failing, because any honest person is going to say mob density and etc is completely off in these areas).
I’d like to see the Risen nerfed. And then they can start looking at increasing respawn times (so we don’t get crazy repops before we’ve finished killing the last mobzerg) and reducing mob density. Needs to be done or tons of people once they finally get to 80 (looks to me like there are still a fair number of people without one L80 still) will /ragequit en masse.
Agree with OP. They should have an option to join a universal server whenever they need, just so people have somewhere to go to do DEs. The tech clearly exists.

I just closed the launcher and opened it again.
I didn’t notice any rollback, then again had been afk for at least 10 minutes before server crash.
They need to fix the leash range, if they insist on taking our hp down by so much each hit we HAVE to kite. I don’t think how this game works is properly understood by the people who made it. They really need to play their own game some time, and see how it is.
Only if they add an auto decline option for lame dueling spam.

Shouldn’t they announce this stuff through the official forums? Who in their right mind lives in Twitter or Facebook?
And while you’re fixing it make the hero npcs you give us more powerful, especially when you enter the story quests solo. They die so easily, and have the most reta.rded AI ever. They have the kind of AI I’ve only ever experienced when playing a low budget indie game. This is not a compliment.
And tone down the risen mobs, I think I can safely speak for us all when I say we’re sick of those OP mobs.

Okay this is the buggiest quest ever. No idea how it progressed properly in end, as even the quest objectives got ticked in wrong order (one was white and still needing completion above the grey completed objectives). That’s how buggy it is. Cutscenes play at random, in middle of fights. And I’d have to say the mobs are overtuned. It’s just a crappy, buggy, overtuned quest and the guy who okayed this needs his head checked.
Taking the reward and running…should’ve got ten times this for doing the impossible. Was on my mesmer too :F

Also Trahearne is useless. I’d let him die repeatedly just to see him suffer, but when I do your stupid AI bugs out and screws our quests up.
Yes >.< this stupid quest keeps bugging out on me too. Useles AI party keeps getting stuck and won’t move forward. They get stuck at different spots, even when you exit and re-enter quest you might get lucky and get them to move to ambush area, then they can get stuck at other spots. Getting sick of this crap AI.
Anet also stop giving us melee heroes to “help” us. Melee is useless in the game you’ve made and these idiot AI heroes never hit the mobs we have to fight – because we need to kite because mobs hit like trucks; and you gave us no defense and kitten all heals…and thought a crappy dodge key would be enough, so all in all they can’t keep up with our movements…put simply melee really is that bad. WTB ranged heroes only.

I’ve noticed no discernible movement speed increase. This is to say – if there actually is a move speed increase, it’s not worth using the trait to get it.
Especially given how fast the undead guys move…
Yeah often seeing the illusions die soon as they are spawned because of this.

Same hairstyle same bug: my asura now has a completely brown face. Only noticed this today.
Is the trading post supposed to be up right now? I’m getting “invalid authorization” when I open trading post and the gem store, this has happened before…doesn’t always happen but right now that’s all I’m getting. I’ve been able to access both the trading post and gem store previously. Right now I can’t. Again. I have gems, and I can’t use them if I want to (denial of service, paid for goods but can’t access them). Can someone official fix this?
I also get the same message (“invalid authorization”) when I go to the gem store website —→ https://gemstore-live.ncplatform.net/ so repairing the client won’t help, I’m just not able to get into the gem store/trading post at times.
