I revive whenever possible. If I can’t, I’ll atleast throw them a heal, protective boon, or snare enemy so the player has better odds of reviving himself.
Best of all has got to be to give Stealth. I do it for him, or to both of us if I’m reviving them. It’s pretty much guaranteed they’ll rally.
I make it my personal motto to never let anyone become Defeated. Getting downed is okay, it’s part of fighting.
A lot of people think it’s OK to let your allies get Defeated. It’s not. If they get defeated, chances is you’re not doing your job in fighting with those around you.
Everyone should place a heal or a protective boon immediately on someone who becomes downed. This should make them rally right away.
Yes, sometimes it’s better to finish off an enemy, since the downed player will rally, but a lot of times that won’t work because the Downed player was targeting another enemy…
I personally never say Thank You and I also don’t expect it. If anything, I get a little angry when people tell me Thank You. It’s my job as a player, why are you thanking me? You didn’t thank me when I killed a monster, did you? Of-course not, because that’s my job!
Another vote for avoiding these people. Otherwise you’ll just be wasting your time and promoting bad/unskilled game-play.
Make a comment in chat saying that in this game you don’t use dedicated healers and tanks, just to make other players aware, then ignore them. It’s the best you can do.
If they’re willing to discuss politely (in /say or /map chat) then you can explain about the new roles in GW2: defensive/offensive support, movement and skill control of enemies, and damage. Everyone is supposed to do a little of everything depending on the situation.
But after that it’s up to them to learn, it’s not your responsibility. Leave them alone to their bad game-play.

If you read your skills you’ll see that some of them say “Combo field” and “Combo finisher”. So what happens is that one player puts down a combo field, and another player uses a combo finisher on that field.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Combo
The link above gives some examples. The first one (Dark field + Blast finisher) will do a “Area blindness” effect, which means enemies in the area will miss their next attack. Pretty cool, uh?
As a Mesmer you have a lot of Ethereal combo fields, so if you for example set a Chaos Storm, you can then use Magic Bullet for a Projectile finisher, which will Confusion on your target. You can actually do this by yourself, if there aren’t any other players around.
Check the link for more ideas.

The idea of the table, would be to be shown only in the end of the event, so you can get a idea what happen there. You should not have access to it during the same.
Yes, then every event will go like this:
“OMG $*!&#^ kill kill kill!!!”
“OMG #(*&!^# heal heal heal!!!!”
:OMG (@*&$ faster faster faster!!"
It will become about getting a better number rather than having fun helping the citizens of Tyria and becoming a legend.
Sorry, I don’t want my game to be like that. You should try structured PvP :-) press N and it will tell you how well you’re doing. How’s that?
Could you add "Game Menu" keybind to Control Options
in Account & Technical Support

It’s been too many times now that I accidentally press ESC and log out, or worse, quit the client. Most of the time it just gets in the way and the battle goes wrong because I get distracted from what needed to be done. Protect a friend, knockback a foe, or whatever it was.
If I need to see the game menu, I can simply move the mouse to the top left corner of the screen.
No, no I don’t want to use AutoHotKey for something like this because I need ESC in other programs.
Thank you.
I’d be happy with them just letting us equip a utility skill on the Elite slot. Because a lot of elites are useless or boring or unpredictable in PvE. I’m looking at you, Elixir X and Mortar!
