Krall Peterson – Warrior
Piken Square
Add to that question:
When will the GW:Proph+EotN map be “restored” in GW2?
When we go after Jormag most likely, since J is currently “ruling” the north.
Well, they have released challenging stuff as well, so they quite clearly knows how to do it.
Keep in mind however that GW2 is a rather broad game, that want both casuals and hardcore players. Making stuff very challenging might please the hardcore but at the same time it might turn away the casual, and the casual gamer is a much bigger group than the hardcore gamer, thus they will most likely focus more on that group.
(but I rather have them delay it if they cant make it properly bug free before that)
If companies would delay stuff until they are 100% certain that it is bugfree they would never release anything.
They have 4 more updates before the end of the year. They have plenty of time.
The fractals is quite likely coming on November 26th. And we have already gotten a new skill, so that could be considered fulfilled as well.
Clearly using that music for the trailer works though.
I don’t think we have seen an discussion about a trailer as active as those about this trailer ever before
And as I have stated before, the music not fitting might very well be the point.
I am rather sure it won’t be a dungeon to start with.
But no matter, if it is higher than lvl 26 it will most likely apply upscaling.
if that was truly what he meant, than why is there no Hearts in Orr compared to the rest of the lower level areas?
Because it is a war-zone instead of a populated zone as the others?
Hearts were also not supposed to be in the game at all from the start, but due to testers having no clue what to do they were added in to assist people getting to areas with DEs and such.
Dervish will most likely NEVER come back, since it is tied way to much to the HUMAN gods. So unless they start making race-based (which they won’t) classes Dervish won’t come back.
Ritualist and Paragon technically already exists in the Guardian.
Only the first part. I never heard ANet advertise the exchange as a feature for casual players.
Nor have I ever claimed such a thing.
Which I think is kind of the point
You may have considered it a major selling point, I considered it a footnote. And at no time did they ever say that it would be an “affordable” way to do so.
I have pointed out that those with the mindset to buy gold to buy a precursor or legendary that now it’s 70% cheaper than a year ago. Right now it’s around 4g per $1. And the now nerfed champ farmers are complaining they need gold to boost up their crafting skills to so they can craft their ascended weapons. Well there you go, 4g per $1, what are you waiting for.
I understand, you what to play a game for “free”. Just like TV and movies are “free” and music is “free”. Just buy some gems you cheapskates or ignore the cash shop because the days of “cheap” gems for gold is long gone and isn’t coming back.
Hm?
Was this meant for me, because what I said was more or less exactly the same as you, but with fewer words
What makes you think it is random?
Based on hints dropped by the devs here and there it seems to be rather unrandom.
Unfortunately this has a negative side effect………detouring new players. There is one thing that any mmo needs and that is a constant influx of new players. Anything that detracts from such (imo) is not a good thing.
That would however only be the case if gold to gems was a major selling point for the game.
I wouldn’t say that is the case however, it is just a side-note and most people probably don’t even know about it before they buy the game.
Why fix something that is not broken?
The system is controlled by the players.
Players clearly prefer to buy stuff for gold rather than real money, thus the prices are getting higher and higher.
How is it lazy?
Does it somehow take less effort and time to develop something for the gemstore than something for in-game?
While I do see your point one have to keep in mind that making stuff costs money, and they need to get that money from somewhere. Thus putting certain skins in the gem-store to earn some money.
Early information release this week!
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/november-12-2013/
Seems like we will be getting some kind of randomized dungeon-like thing (based on the name of the pictures).
Looking forward to it!
It isn’t the league play bringing people to WvW, it’s the new achievement points. Once those boxes have been ticked the AP locusts will move on to the next great temporary thing.
And yet said APs are part of the league, thus they count.
And no, not everyone will move on. The league is a great way to get PvE:ers to try WvW, and it is quite likely that some of them will see that they like it and start playing WvW regularly.
I like it, even though my server will finish last in our league.
Simply due to the fact that it brings loads of new people into WvW, and that is always a good thing in my eyes.
Can’t people just stop with the whole “Buhuhuh the dev is not answering my posts!” and actually post stuff that is useful (unlike this post) instead?
Almost makes me think that some people WANT the initiative shut down.. But then again I suppose that would be perfect for all those claiming that ArenaNet doesn’t care about what the players want.
It was indeed confirmed by Devon that such a bug does not exist, and that the number of players are equal.
But then again, who am I to suggest that trusting the people with the actual information is the right thing to do? ^^
Maybe you guys should start thinking a bit about what/how you write?
The kind of posts we see here right now is most likely a sure way to get them to shut down this initiative and not do it again in the future.
Funny you should mention that because Devon made a post about 2 hours ago
The thing is that IF he would just drop in and say: “We are still looking” people would whine about him not saying anything useful.
2 weeks.
I prefer having some new content spread out instead of having it pushed out in a big lump and then being completed within a week and then have to wait for yet another month.
But as stated several times in this thread: If they lower the price they most get ten times as much of them sold in order to break even, and that is highly unlikely.
Depends on what you want to do.
If you are planning to do WvW I would say stay as far away from Berserker as possible, and go with Soldier or something like that instead.
Pretty disheartening when you see the number of Dev replies in Living World thread compared to this one, but not surprising.
Quite logical though.
They have WAY more people working in the Living Story teams than they have in WvW, thus it is much easier for that team to get some time to read and post on the forums.
levels matter, in fact this game also pushes you to be max level, as the lower level zones are generally deserted, and you will die instantly in WvW as an uplevel.
Levels don’t matter in spvp but spvp doesn’t reward you with anything.
Oh?
Funnily enough usually one of the busiest zones are Queensdale, which is definitely not a max-leveled zone, while most of the max-leveled zones are indeed quite deserted most of the time.
And no, you won’t die instantly in WvW.
So basically the players get the ability to report admins they don’t like (and based on these forums it is not unlikely that people would report them just for the sake of them working for ArenaNet) and thus creating extra work for the admin admins?
And if they added something “immediate”, the amount of faulty bans will most likely increase quite a bit.
The current system at least have somewhat of a fail-safe in that they are monitored for some time before being banned (in most cases).
As for point three that is completely out of bound. Players should NEVER get the power of admins, because no matter how much you check on them there will be people that will use it in a bad way.
You will die faster in WvW (which is the only PvP in the game that takes your real level and gear into account) if you are not lvl 80, but you will still stand a chance against a real lvl 80 if you are skilled enough.
The things mined from the node are not bound so you can buy them at the TP if you want/need them.
Currently they are only used to craft stuff with Celestial Stat (“small” bonus to all stats).
The item in question is called Quartz.
The home instance is in your races capital. If you have done the Personal Story you should have visited it several times.

The crystals are there if you have completed the meta-event for the Bazaar release back in July.
I personally find it quite pathetic.
But then again, if guilds are willing to sell themselves it is their loss I suppose.
They might not on your server, but earlier I was there in Kessex on ours and there was a group going around doing just that. And as I said some of the players only have small windows to play the game. Their progress should not be blocked by others.
And as stated: EVERY SINGLE Veteran and Champion in the WHOLE GAME can get the buff.
That means several HUNDRED possible mobs at ALL times. I find it highly unlikely that they manage to kill off all of those at the same time.
It is griefing when they do it to prevent others from getting the achievement as I already stated. There should not have to be any workaround. As I said if they are going to have these requirements they can do it for an instanced area and it won’t allow anyone’s progress to be blocked.
But they don’t.
At least not unless they run around and speed kill every single champion and veteran in the whole game at all times.
And my point was that it is an issue.
This is really only an issue if you try to do it in wellpopulated areas.
Every single Veteran and up in the whole game can get said buff, that means you don’t have to run around with the Champ Train in Queensdale or whatever to do it, as you can just run around in Snowden Drifts or Fields of Ruins and kill veterans and complete it.
Blood and Madness content and achievements will still be available to play until November 11
Is the only date we have, so it is safe to assume that it will be around to the 11th at least. So I would plan to do stuff before that date (even though it is likely that it will continue longer, due to the next update most likely ties in to this one).
They will most likely never give exact population numbers, so this wouldn’t really work.
I suppose they could show something like 57% full or something, but other on that it is unlikely that we will get more detailed pop-numbers.
Same here… was working to
Now i cant complete the livingstory
Yes you can.
The dailies are still available.
Isn’t however limiting the number of players to “even the odds” quite a bit like mechanically weaken a server?
Your reading comprehension skills need a lot of polishing. I’ve noticed it in many other threads, but it has become obvious here.
Oh, feel free to explain what he meant then, because as far as I understand it he simply wanted ArenaNet to make changes so that his server got artificially stronger.
But it IS a skill, and it is a skill for all classes. Sure it is not skills, but it is still a skill and can be considered fulfilling that point.
The only thing a thread like this will do however is create hate and flaming if they miss one of the goals, especially when the list involves stuff that have already been added and/or confirmed to most likely not make it.
/age will tell you how many days have been since creation at least.
It is one gift per character
1: Already added technically.
3: Already added.
6, 7, 8: Confirmed to most likely miss the deadline.
you literally get an item from this event which gives you a free skill point every day.
No you don’t.
It is a one-use skill node, just like every other skill node.
Oh, but don’t destroy it now!
Let people spam how awful Scarlet is in every single thread about everything!
Content every two weeks that is repetitive, basically a check list of achievements and can be completed in less than 3hours (if not counting the daily achievements for the meta).
True, we could instead get content every six months that was more or less the same but larger in scale.
