You all put up a good fight tonight! I can tell you this much: TNA (Alliance) and DW had a great time fighting you tonight!

This will be an interesting week.

However I would like to ask, have you lost any guilds since we were last matched up against you? I mean we’re all in T4 now. Something has to have happened.

Oh and I’m sorry that we took Stonemist.. And Garrison..

I have to tell you:

Even tho Necromancers are really broken ( mean even their + heal doesn’t scale as it should do not go for this stat!) I love playing it in WvW.

Then again, it’s the only character at level 80 that I’ve played, and she’s full exotic now. Very few things can take me down one on one.

I play a very supportive necromancer, which gives all of my mates healz <3 (even if they don’t scale :P)

I’m still gonna wait for GF and Nug to come back to the place (and person!) they know they love..

However, the game is still new. We don’t even have the 14 day locks yet, we’re still being matched. And transfers doesn’t cost anything yet.

We’re just at the baby years of what WvW will become. And for some it might be worth taking a break till things stabilize.

Anyways Holska, I’d rather recommend you joining the morning crew, than the night crew. Either make an earlier morning crew than the current 7am (it was easy and worked well for us who work from home or take care of their kids), or join the existing one.

He is actually making it as well, we are keeping it updated and discussed on the far shiverpeaks own forums as we speak.

Mynx, I feel that you’re missing the point. It is during the prime time that you are doing the difference, or at least we were. Enough to stay in no.2 for 5 weeks on the 1 week reset. Which is pretty darn good if you ask me.

However, we are working hard on organizing off peak hours. Myself lead a morning crew on almost a daily basis, and we have other people organizing the night crews.

I guess people would view me as hardcore tho, because I enjoy the fights no matter what. But right now the fights we’re encountering are laughable. There’s only one force from Miller’s that I’ve had any problems with, and they probably know who they are, the rest die like flies, scatter and have no organization (are all leveling charactesr in WvW?).

When a group of 6 can fend off two hordes of 20 from both sides at the same time… It’s laughable.

Yet, we are going to loose this matchup because the presence of the FS server is really low.

We’re currently focusing on recruitment, both within the server and from the outside. FS has dropped from High pop to Medium, which means there’s a lot of room for people to transfer and no Queues!

There are plenty of counters to these balls. and effects that “target more than 5 people” even if it might counts as an AoE.

We’ve done amazing splits and killed off a 40man ball in 15s (felt like it at least, but think 30s if that helps you), with just about 25 people, because we knew what skills and utilities to use!

What Holska says pretty much covered it.

I mean people complained that we “never won” when we ere no.2 among the EU servers, which made it sound to me that people wanted to be no.1 and steamroll everyone else.

All the complaining wore a lot of people out. It’s even worn me out even if I never give up.

We on Far Shiverpeaks would actually want Dragonbrand players to move to our servers. We’re in the EU, the latency is next to nothing and we have a good solid WvW krewe, but need a stronger (in numbers) force on all times of the day. We might be EU, but we have a strong solid English Speaking community, and all of mapchats and open communication is made in English.

Just do what DAoC did, once a guild claims a keep the guards will report to that guild when people are in the area. “15 Invaders attacking!” This is simple and easy and wont take more graphics (we already have culling issues, imagine another animated object on each keep and way point?).

FS had problems with organization from start but Anet killed FS with free transfers.

No the impatient cowardice fair weather guilds did.
I don’t care if they were respected WvW guilds or not, jumping ship to servers with a night team or to a low tier with no chance of a night team as opponent, is just the easymode way out no matter how you look at it.
They could’ve put in some work to change it for the better, but no they whined instead of taking action and then jumped ship to look for greener grass.

I don’t care about the people jumping ships. It’s a non issue for me. It will just give me more interesting and dynamic fights.

I’m not here to be a crybaby, I’m here to win a war. I might have lost the fight today, but I know that I will persevere and you will see Far Shiverpeaks in glory again, after all we have many a years ahead of us.

That’s not by any stretch of the imagination “most” of our guilds, just saying.

However I must say, I miss my GF & Nugs (ZDs are still on FS!)

FS is far from dead yet.

And everyone from my Alliance (TNA) are having a blast in this matchup.

However I’m not surprised that this thread is quite empty.

That we’re not in T1 or T2 is more because some of the guilds that played a major part of it have left this server. Doesn’t mean we who are left are giving up by any measure tho. We’re regrouping and reorganizing. Will be fun to start climbing the ladder again, even if it takes a week, a month or two.

Once Guesting + Payed transfers are in place I think we’ll see most servers balance out and find “their place” in the tiers.

I believe however that next week, we’ll be back on the GMT +1 Schedule, because PST goes back to PDT; I might be wring tho?

I’ve been thinking about this for quite a while, and the Guild Roster always says “World vs World”. Upon which you either have to ask in Gchat or whisper people to find out where they are.

Having WvW Blue, WvW Red, WvW Green, WvW EB or something similar would probably help solve the situation. I don’t know if the full World vs World Blue would be too long?

What do you guys think?

We opened the door for you as 4 people with 2 golems. Unfortunately our communication wasn’t clear enough and we ended up wiping our golems on the lord the first try, the second time you came at us from behind.

What about giving Anet a chance to fix Guesting first, so they can lock down free-transfers completely?? :P

I think that’s the best thing. Stop complaining at every change Anet does, the 7day stop is better than 24hrs, and you know it.

Unfortunately one of our guildies who transfer the day before, got locked out of transferring back in time.

There is already a limit to how much siege can be built in an area, try stacking Woodhaven full of Arrow-carts and ballistas and you’ll see it’s fewer than it used to be a few weeks ago. Annoying but good change.

However it’s terrible when ONE PERSON helps put out / build the siege units and then goes offline/disconnects, and you forget about refreshing and they disappear.

It’s unrealistic that they will disappear on their own. It’s enough that the quaggan power nodes lightning destroys em, isn’t it?

I’ve said for the past few weeks. I Don’t care about the orbs! Let the other servers fight over them. The advantage or usefullness of them is not high enough for me to bother.

And if I don’t go for it, the other two servers will fight for it.

Now for reset tonight I had thought “Maybe I should fight for an orb this time”.. Guess I was right?

Hello all! I have not engaged much in these threads yet, and I appreciate seeing you all keeping it classy!

If we look back: I loved the matchup we had against Elona Reach the first time, when they joined us in T1 and kicked kittens! For me it was a breath of fresh air, until then we hadn’t really been loosing it’s been more or less stalemate in the way that VS never gained points on us, only the lower opponent that often got kicked out of the matchup.
I smiled that entire week and loved every single fighting moment of it.

Far Shiverpeaks is far from giving up btw. Some people might be leaving, some guilds or parts of guilds. But we are also seeing new people joining, and getting more people interested in WvW that haven’t been before. So worry not we will be back in full force.

To counter some rumors:

Well if it’s true that FSP guilds are moving to Desolation, then Desolation is going to become one scary WvW beast.

A few members from one guild switched server, upon which they were kicked from their guild. I will not name names but that’s the only thing I’ve heard about it.
Other than that there were members from that same guild that suggested on the Far Shiverpeaks forum that we’d all jump ship. Everyone from all other guilds shot that down.

We’re building a home and a community on Far Shiverpeaks and it will take us a long time to consider even switching servers.

It’s no where near everyone that think “American” players should be banned. Of course some people think it’s a problem. But keep in mind they will only think it’s a problem if it means we’re loosing. If we had people on our server doing the night stuff for us “we” probably wouldn’t mind.

The deal is, when it was against Vizunah Square we were fighting the French/Canadians (who are just very active night players most of them anyways).

There are a few old GW1 guilds on Far Shiverpeaks that are very open to American players or international players over all!
