Let me present to you: Casual PvX with active WvW team guild Dynasty Warriors.
We’ve been around since 2003, started as a multi gaming clan and then made it into Guild Wars 1 and later Guild Wars 2 with 40 of our core members. We’ve since then recruited another 70.

We have an up and coming, still casual, sPvP team and we’re constantly looking for more and active members within all aspects of the game.

I’m recruit and WvW officer of Dynasty Warriors. We are a casual PvX guild and active in WvW, some of our members are setting up sPvP groups as we speak. We are recruiting active players for all of the above, and we do not care if you are not level 80 yet, you will get there when it’s time and you are ready.

We have a little over 100 members with about 40-50 of them that log into game on a daily basis.
The guild-chat is social, and we have a TS server (That’s part of the Far Shiverpeaks public team speak as well, win/win!)

Is this when I add that DW was an guild during Guild Was 1 as well, and that I’ve been with the community for 7 years myself now Still going strong! (With a few breaks inbetween)

We have a very successful night crew as well as an up and coming morning crew on Far Shiverpeaks, but we are organizing all the off peak hours. And I’m letting you know we’re doing partly through the form of a new guild. So we do not loose our footing just because one or a few people go away for a day or two.

Are you a typical off peak player, based on Central European Time (GMT+1), playing on or interested in Far Shiverpeaks? Look not further! We see off peak as between 00.00-14.00. Live in North America, or maybe Oceanic this probably works for you too!

We have got a guild waiting for you, it’s a tool to help you find each other at these hours. One rank will display commanders we have (structure being built as we speak of it). This is not a guild for fame and fortune, you never need to represent it. This is a tool to find other people, organize. Not just to follow the big zerg.

Guild Wars 2 supports more than one guild at the time! Let’s utilize that.

(I’ll add as a bottom note here that DW are also recruiting internationally)

Simple rules?
- Join to find contact list of a lot of other off peak hour active people! Commander rank inc as well!
- Never need to represent. No worry about loosing influence for your own guild!
- KICK kitten DURING OFF PEAK HOURS!

More elaborate:
- Preferred activity a few hours, at least 4 days a week during these off peak hours (00-14). Not The entire slot of course.
- Help each other find each other. We’ll be using rotating motd to display where we are so some people do not get flooded in all the whispers.

Dynasty Warriors definitely need a few more necros for their necro only teams! We tend to want to have fun and play around a lot with both the meta in the game, and just general madness.

We are actively recruiting (which is why I am here and writing this to you right now). The guild is active (as can be at the 3 month hump of any new game) and we are looking for more active players.

WvW is definitely our most active aspect, tho some of us still love em Fractals and dungeons and dragons!

The guild is quite mature, and the average age is 28yrs. Some of us hava families and some in the guild are even couples (yes we have girls, wtf!? Even as officers!)

Casual guild/active guild, you will never be kicked for not appearing at an event, and not for inactivity (after you’ve become a fullscale member) unless we reach the 500 cap.
We aim to do the craziest things we can imagine, especially in WvW, which often ends up in getting us killed and with a lot of laughs. What about capturing Woodhaven in all nudes, because gear doesn’t matter in this game, and then dance in the roof as the enemies recapture without seeing us…

Dynasty Warriors started their multigaming community August 2003 with divisions for Diablo2 and Savage. In the years following they expanded towards UT2004, GuildWars, World of Warcraft, Quake4, CounterStrike:Source, Tribes Vengeance, Ogame, Sacred, Enemy Territory QuakeWars.
Eventually only the GuildWars division still existed, consisting of casual players. Most of these members have now moved to GuildWars 2.

Dynasty Warriors are looking for members for:

We are in WvW daily, planned or unplanned. We are currently looking for people to be active in the Morning/Mid-morning and early afternoon hours, if you are an Oceanic player we would very much welcome you. However any activity is welcome.
- casual PvX. We do enjoy dungeons, holiday events, crazy jumping puzzles and so forth. As well as sPvP.

- social attitude
- knowledge about the game content and mechanics is a plus, but not necessary. We’re very open to teach you anything you want to know as long as you’re open to learn.

Oh Speaking of camping! The epicness from Riverside on EB, of Panglos Supply Camp.

You were being hit from both sides by FSP and SFR.. Still you stood tall. During the time we kept trying to get that supply camp we were stupid enough to loose 2 towers (fail at tunnel visioning of FSP).

I however am a bit saddened to see the hostility from you whom I used to play side by side with for a very long time. Especially when you do know the effort we who are still here still put into WvW on this server.

In no way is TNA a PvE alliance. I’m sorry to say. But all guilds in it has a major PvE section, because the server is PvX.
I can only talk for DW within the Alliance tho; We’re a casual guild, PvX but happen to have a huge PvP/WvW crew. We will never force any of our players to do anything. However we do continously arrange events, and after having had 5 WvW events/week for 2 months (not counting the morning and night crews we’ve been running with other guilds) we felt that we needed to give our PvEers a good event, and used this weekend for it.

And guess what, WE HAD FUN! Which is what this game is about to be honest.

I’m sorry Diablo, but saying that FSP doesn’t have one single organized guild left is kinda cruel, especially to the guilds who are still here and organized.

FSP has always been strong in PvE, even tho most of us haven’t accepted it.

My own guild is a casual PvX guild, even if we have a very strong presence in WvW as well.

It did NOT help that the reset timer was 1-2 hrs late from what it was supposed to be. I think some of us had time to head to bed (even if it wasn’t me, but I know our team of 30 lost about 15 before the reset hit).

However, it will be intersting to match up against people that have recently left our server.

I use AutoHotKey when I command to macro things like “Group up on my icon”. When you’re commanding and trying to focus on 20 different things at once you don’t have time to waste extra seconds on typing. I could be spending that time looking at the map.

Unfortunately this is frowned upon by ANet.
Why not set up the macros, with a variable ? I mean you ought to be able to get it to randomize a message that means the same thing! Get ahead, codingmonkey!

Not a straight answer to the question since I’m not a developer from ANet (hard for me to answer the question as one then).

Hopefully they will make significant changes to how the commander works. Right now having a squad gives little benefits, and being a commander basically only gives you a blue dot over your head.

Suggested changes / improvements:

• Give Commanders a Squad UI, even if it is windowed, so you can see it sometimes only. Choose to display only to Guild Members?
• Auto-join to Squads, allowing Commanders to choose if it should be “Guild members only/everyone” (or some other parameters). Alternatively have it radius based, for checking supply.
• Make it easier to join a Squad. Most people do not know they need to click the commander. Popup when joining the BG saying “These commanders are on the field, which commander would you like to follow”
• Max 3 Visible Commanders / map, Dependent on Squad size. Could still allow guilds to use the Commander for smaller runs, but not interrupt other bigger squads with yet another commander mark.

How many of you even know that a commander can set marks on the map for where to attack next?!

Necromancers were stiffed on the FUNCTIONAL +Healing again. A bit sad tbh. I love my transfusion as it is, if ONLY it would work as intended.

I also want to thank Kodash and Augury Rock (btw DW’s initial home was AR before it was officially declared French.. Them betas!) for the AMAZING fun battle after FS killed the Grub (after the patch) in EB last night.

Both trying to fight us, form one side each while we were Catapulting a reinforced wall of Durios. Pushing back and forth. Keeping the supply camp. Inefficient turtling (with the new patch change), just pure craziness!
Pushing back and forth, then when the tower was capped, we killed off more of you, pushing up to Orgewatch, all the way to Pangloss rise. Then back down to Umberglade.
And back again. So many lolz!

Yes, the 5 target heals absolutely, without a question, must be “clever targetted”. So they heal people who actually have lost health. Absolutely.

Already I can tell you there’s some clever targeting. The Necromancer trait Transfusion, which heals Allies while using the Life Transfer (I believe) never healed a target that already had full health. You would not see extra numbers pop up unless they were low health.

Personally, and quite honestly: I would rather have seen full out aoe + full out heal.

However, I do together with a lot of my guild mates and some other comments I’ve seen here, have a lot of confidence with Anet to make something good out of WvW longterm. They have always nerfed the most popular spike teams in GW1, so why not continue it now with the balancing.

Also: I’ve heard that the next big content patch might be more WvW centric? Hooray!

I know plenty of players who only playg GW2 for the WvW. How would it be fair to them to close it down?

I mean we’ve just forced them into a gear grind that they DO NOT WANT (I mean even I am considering leaving Guild Wars 2 because of the Ascendant gear…) and were promised they would not be forced through, closing down WvW as well for a PvE event would be even more unfair.

I totally agree.
If we account bind the siege, just make the JP chest account locked, open once / day. I know people who creates alts just to farm the puzzles. Delete the character and goes in again.

I think it’s a very valid tactic, actually!
You can kill them when they are in stealth, just spam your auto attacks, if you’re a group of people spread out any ground based attacks (them circles) within the circle, and they will keep triggering it.

Learn what you need to look for (I’ve chansed down thieves in stealth myself, as a bugged out necro so go go)

We’ve really reorganized on Far Shiverpeaks. And it feels amazing and great. I usually help lead the morning crew, but iwthout the commander sign It’s a hassel.

I will admit to you that we currently have a night crew. Time will tell how long it will last.

Kodash have a solid pressence during the day as well. Saying that it’s because of “Nightcapping” is a fraud :P We were ahead in points still at 6am this morning.

We had the most epic fight over Bay in the Augury Rock Borderland (I believe) this morning. 2 Golems, breach the gates. 5 players. Get met up by another 5-10 players inside the keep.

We wipe, go again. Brute force both gates down that were barely repaired. Wiped again. One more try! And we got it. :> Was great fun.

I had a dream about this… It was weird, but gave some interesting strategies.

I’m not sure if I’d fully support this, but I would love to hear more discussion about it and other suggestions!

Yes it’s hillarious. Especially since I personally hate people going to the jumping puzzle when kitten is going down!! :P

I used to take the orb to the jumping puzzle, and protect it with siege when we didn’t ahve a keep. Good times, GOOD TIMES!
