We really prefer killing FR, they’ve been a big thorn in our side. Have to give it to that thief and mez team around Durios this morning though, you guys were good.

This is our fourth match with them and we have lost first three so you can imagine how we feel. At least they don’t have another french server holding their backs this time so we have a fighting chance.

Of course we can imagine. Far Shiverpeaks we up agains Viznuah Square for 5 weeks in a row. (if not more in the 24h resets)
When we started dropping tiers we’ve met other servers as well.

Now the interesting thing is going to be if we will hold our ground or drop a tier, last I checked the numbers were close. It is getting interesting.

We joined Far Shiverpeaks for launch. Did not participate in WvW much (maybe once or twice) before the week long reset. That’s when it started to matter to me.
That was when we eventually started to loose guilds to other servers.

People complained that we were a loosing server when we lost 0.9 in rating. 0.9!!!!!!!!!! You know how well that’s played? Yet it wasn’t good enough to keep people around.

After having lost like 10+ of our major WvW guilds there is still a tight core of people here. A few new guilds have joined. The smaller guilds are bonding together.

Do I feel server pride? Hell YES!

Not in one fight when I head into WvW do I care if we’re behind or ahead. I actually thrive when I have the outmanned buff. That’s when I want to show people around me that you can do crazy kitten even if you’re few in numbers.. I absolutely love it.

I think that a lot of my server pride right now comes from that I did not give up and leave. And that I know we will bounce back.

I’ve been running the night crew this week under the banner of DW or CIA from Far Shiverpeaks.. Having some good fun. I’m still trying to learn to organize our PuGs. A lot of you do amazing work, some just don’t bother and listen (and probably will never read anything here). Soon enough I will learn how to utilize it to my advantage tho. Moah! ( First week with my commander icon btw )

We held some decent ground in WvW this night. And Diabolos we didn’t loose your Langor for you! We did however make an amazing save of Garrison in our own Borderland and proceeded to take back Bay just before 6am.

Still winding down, browsing forums, catching up. But now it’s time for some well deserved sleep.

I noted that you said that you’re willing to transfer to any US server, but I still feel I want to give you the option of something else.

Over on the European server Far Shiverpeaks in the guild Dynasty Warriors we had an average age of 28, but recently we’ve had like 15 members at 35+ join us which probably dragged that up a bit.
We’re an international guild, casual pvx and active in wvw. We already have quite a few NA players and are looking for more. Some of our members in EU play at crazy hours anyways, so there is always people online in our guild.

There has been a lot of sandwiching lately. And it’s hilarious! I’ve done the “OH KITTEN RUUUUNNN!!!” a few times myself lately.

FS are going back to basics, a lot of smaller teams roaming, it is working out pretty good.
As for my own guild (DW) we’ve gained 33 new recruits (that have been invited) in 3 days. We took a huge chunk of them into WvW tonight (at 20.00 CET) under the Flag of TNA (The Northern Assembly, Alliance). And Oh my the fun!.

Props to FR for holding hills in Far Shiverpeaks all night tho, we did several attempts.

Gandara have done a few good tries on our keep in EB as well, but yeh.. We’ve practice well and long how to defend that place successfully with few people.

Even if we’re not ahead in points, I still feel that Far Shiverpeaks are doing great in this matchup, considering the circumstance. More and more people come up to me and tell me taht they are not leaving while others are abandoning us. We will bounce back, eventually.

There were some nice fights last night but the sheer numbers of Fort Ranik are overwhelming us. We did have some nice fun when Tortun led a revenge operation in Fort Ranik borderlands. We held a keep and two towers for more then an hour with barely a skeleton crew after starting with outmanned buff.

Too bad FS is MIA, we could use somebody to put more pressure on Ranik.

Unfortunately Gandara applied pressure on us while Fort Ranik was as well, when the map was more covered in green than anything. I mean going for our only tower instead of attacking more green when the map is covered in green. You do the math.

But yes, we are probably MIA, then again I put in 8hrs on reset night with my team when most went to bed after 2.

As stated, Far Shiverpeak is reorganizing, a lot. We might need to hit rock bottom to bounce back, but we’ll see.

Personally DW have gotten 30 new recruits in 3 days. Which will help some with organization.

If you wouldn’t mind moving to an European Server, with NA as well as AU players, Dynasty Warriors on Far Shiverpeaks is probably something for you.

Our average age is 28+ even if a recent recruit was 16, but a group of other new recruits were around 40.
We have about 70 active members who log in on a daily basis. With our player base being international and people from all over the world in the guild we have people online on all hours of the day. Not even our EU base sleep at night, me included.

We’re a very social casual PvX guild with an active WvW team. We help our members settle in and give them all the info needed, and answer any questions in the Guild Chat.

Had some pretty epic Inner Keep fights last night on FSP Borderlands and was after omg I wish I had fraps’d those, turns out a member had.

We had so many hard Inner Keep fights this week defending and attacking I thought I’d throw it up here.

I’m the tiny asura on the arrow-cart that totally goes “OH kitten” when I see you coming over the ledge from the barracks ad 2.30! (first video) I loved that fight against you, and I found hte video very inspirational. I mean in a fight like that it hardly matters who won or lost in the end, it’s just pure epicness and sneakyness and trying new things and keeping the circle safe.

Server loyalty is a kitten. I mean. I appreciate the invitation DW got to join Desolation, but because we got a lot of things invested in Far Shiverpeaks, both emotionally and other things it is hard to just pick up and move.

Good morning, currently 7am here in the EU.

We in Dynasty Warriors have been a community for 9 years, I’ve myself been in it for 7 years. We have a very social guild, with both old core people and new recruits. At this point we have about 100 new players and 40 old-timers. Not that we make a difference. We’ve always been international so we currently have a strong EU base, with a lot of NA and AU players.

Our active members are about half of our total membership, on a daily basis. This is not a problem since we’re a casual guild and GW2 is not pay to play. People can come and go when it suits them.

We still arrange events on a regular basis and try to have them about 2-4 times a week for different parts of the game.

Our focus is casual PvX with an active WvW team. A few of our members are forming a sPvP/tPvP team as well.

Personally I’m very dedicated to the guild, the server we’re on, and to my recruits. I take great pride in having a good idea and keeping an eye on them at least during the probation period.
I also host another guild on the server which is for off peak hours (EU time) in WvW, to get some more organized people for those hours. (It’s not a guild guild, just a tool).

I am the WvW/Recruit officer of Dynasty Warriors, an old gaming clan started in 2003, teamed in GW1 and moved on to GW2 with a core of 40 people who’d stayed in touch over the years. I’m very dedicated to the game, my guild and the server we play on (Far Shiverpeaks). I joined DW in Nov 2005, and have stuck around since . Even if I disappeared into heavy raiding in WoW for a few years myself.

Why I think you’d make it home with DW even if we’re not a super small guild:
We are social, casual and dedicated. Yes a weird combo maybe. The guild is Casual PvX with active WvW team. We help each other as much as we can and you can always ask a question in the gchat and get an answer.

When it comes to WvW we’re going back to basics a lot and always have a strike-team on the side of our bigger groups and we’re going to start working on more strategies and tactics where we split..

With 140 members we have about 60-70 active / day (dunno yet, because of some new recruits). It means there’s always someone online. We’re an international guild which means we have players online all hours of the day with members from EU, NA and AU.

We are looking for players who can help us arrange events of different kinds, and lead a bit more in WvW.

More roamers to WvW! Hey there.

From Dynasty Warriors over on Far Shiverpeaks we can offer you a dedicated guild with a very social guild chat. DW is a PvX guild with an active WvW team, and we’re trying to get more people to it. We’re completely international.
Currently we host about 1-2 WvW events, with the guild and with the Alliance we’re in. When we go out hot we’re at least 30 people in WvW together with the alliance, and lately 15 from the guild. But I do not have fresh numbers as we’ve gotten a stream of new members.

We do not want drama either and have been quite free of it lately. Myself am 26, our GL has lead this guild since 2003 and has since gotten kids and family. The guild’s average age is 28 or above (doesn’t indicate drama free, but you get the idea)
We do not have a limit to the age of the people we recruit, but we’re quick to decide / discuss if someone is causing too much trouble. However we’ve not had to kick anyone from the guild for any such reasons since Launch of GW2.

I finally recruited my first female the other night. And good things always come in three, so I ended up with getting 3 females in total into our guild that evening.
Dynasty Warriors is a guild that’s very social, casual PvX and active in WvW. Soem members are currently setting up a PvP team. I am one of our 2 female officers (out of 6 total leaders).

We’ve expanded quite a lot in a few days, but are still looking for more people to come over to our server and guild. We’re located on Far Shiverpeaks (sister server to your current). We care for our recruits and try to get them settled as soon as we can.

On Far Shiverpeaks we are currently going back to basics. We’re not at a point where we can pull together a reliable zerg continuously and are starting to rely more and more on small strike teams.

If you were to find your home on FSP you would meet a server at a turning point for WvW, where we are reorganizing and finding our strength back.

Best small strike-team things I did in the past few days were:
- Distracting an entire zerg with 5 people capping a tower at the other end of the map in order to save our keep from getting taken. (EB)
- 3manning 2 gates of Bay while our commander focused on Garrison and had the enemy there.
- 4man harassing inside of Bay with 2 mesmers and keeping half a zerg distracted for 30min.

Short story for FS.

Once upon a time, there was an EB on the Piken Square server. It had no leaders and no guilds on it. Just randoms that gathered in small group scattered across the map. Amongst those randoms, there was a scout. He would tell of enemy movements, say how many there were, directing ppl there to defend.
People started recognizing this scout, and started to listen to the scout. He was there every day, just telling numbers and directing people.
Then the scout got a guildinvite from a new WvW guild, and got promoted to officer.
The newfound officer started directing bigger things, such as attacks on towers. And people still followed him. He earned their respect by making good decisions and in return they followed him to the end of the map and back if he so desired.
Unfortunately, the guild didnt last long, cause of an inactive leader, so the fresh officer decided to start his own guild, and unite all the randoms in the EB, under a single banner.

That scout was me, and i am now leader of Goodgame [GG], the guild that is pretty much Solo running the EB for Piken Square. Quite succesfully i might add, holding our third is quite a challenge since we have to spread out across the map, but I am proud of all of my members.

Just an inspiring short story for all the FS out there, i hope you guys get your act back together.

Our issue is not as much this (well some of it is) as many of the organized guilds we had leaving… And just totally demoralizing people.

However those who are still here fighting tooth and nail day in and day out, we are having fun (some of us) and reorganizing. You’ll see, you’ll see.

I’ve usually made 1g, not including selling items on the TP, by the time I’ve damamged my gear enough to need to actually repair.

If you repair every time you die you’re wasting money. Repair the first time 1 item breaks, and it will be less expensive in the long run.

Dynasty Warriors are looking for more members, casual PvX and active WvW players.
We never care about a player’s level we still bring em in for the fun. Some joined during leveling, some at level 80 through WvW.

We have about 50 active members / day, but it’s all through the day and all hours of the day. The server also offers an umbrella guild for people who play during off peak hours, to find each other in WvW.

Humour is always welcome, I have the worst, and my mind is in the gutter most of the time.

Let me reflect on what you said to show that I’ve read, then I’ll introduce us a bit more.

Unfortunately we use TS3, we quite like it, and we got a server for free which helps. The TS3 we use is the public voip for the server we’re on tho so you never need to switch between when doing guild events and events with other guilds and such. We just invite everyone on to ours.
Our guildchat is very social, and a few people do not use mics when we’re on TS so they just communicate answers to us in guild chat or party chat, that works too. We also have people for whom writing is a pain, so the voip works as a conduit for them in that manner.

We currently have 50 active members in our guild, but I believe that the influence count counts alts, so it might be closer to 30-40, these are logins on a daily basis. We do a lot of WvW, and have a few planned events a week, but mostly it’s open door.
Thus far we’ve not really had any drama except for once, but it ended with that member leaving the guild on his own volition.

Currently in WvW we’re going back to basics. Small strike-teams are a lot more fun than the big zerg. Example tonight; 3man team took down 2 gates of Bay while the zerg were keeping them occupied at Garrison. So much fun Also 4man team with 2 mesmers inside of Bay keeping half the zerg busy for 30minutes. (We laughed a lot at that)
I believe we have players in WvW on all hours of the day. Being an international guild we have NA, EU and AU players.

We are planning to do some more PvE events, other than dungeons, but it has not fully gotten off the ground yet, we do however have some people farming in Cursed Shore from time to time. My goal is to get a “let’s do all the events in a zone” day, and just run around for crazy fun.

We’ve had our ups and downs but moved from GW1 to GW2 on release with a core of 40 people that have connected through the years. I myself have been with the community for 7 years this month). Having matured during 9 years makes our average age quite high (last we counted it was 28, but I believe it’s higher now) and some of us have families to attend to as well.

DW is a casual PvX guild with an active WvW team that is looking to expand and get even more active players. We are on the Far Shiverpeaks server (EU) and we’re here to stay even when a lot of other WvW guilds have left. Call it server pride if you will.

As I said we’re international and we have people online all through the day, and quite a few active NA players by now. As you can see, many servers need it. I’m going to tell you why Far Shiverpeaks need it.

During the past month or two we’ve been loosing more and more of our “hardcore” WvW population, to other servers. This is no secret.

Those who are still here are very likely here to stay, and we are here because we are not quitters we are here to fight. Currently we are restructuring our communication between commanders, we are working more towards appealing to the strong PvE community that we do have on our server, and we’re bonding together to become even stronger.

We have a night time crew, be it small, that would be morally boosted by you guys joining us. We also have a token guild for our Off Peak Hours, which is your prime time. To quickly get in touch with people at that hour.

Our website might not be as fancy as some others, but that is also currently being worked on, baby steps! Our forums has just been rebooted after clearing out a lot of people and opening up to regulars and letting guests see alittle bit more. Dynasty Warriors is a very social PvX guild. Casual, but with an active WvW team. We are already known for bringing onboard players while they are leveling to start calling our guild their home.
We reside on Far Shiverpeaks, a European server but we have NA, EU and AU players alike, being international.
The guild itselves stems from a 9yr old community, but have recruited a lot of new players with Guild Wars 2. We have different backgrounds within MMO, FPS and other games.

The age range with in the guild is quite large, we have both boys and girls and even couples among our members. We are lighthearted and aim to have fun when we play.

For me when my members aren’t having fun I try to ask them what they are looking for to see if we can solve it together. The latest was “I want more WvW events again” good thing we got one planned, too bad he had missed we had 5 the previous weekend.

How did you accidentally promote him AND demote yourself?

If you are still at the same rank there is not difference other than the fact that he also has the same rights as you.

There is no way to reverse this, nor can people of he same rank kick each other (which I think is brilliant btw)

We’re a mature guild with a casual PvX core and an active WvW team.
Community started back in 2003 and have had it’s up and downs since then. Some of us have been friends for many years, but most of our current roster are new recruits in GW2.

We have a lot of groups of friends that have joined us for the same reasons as you are looking for a guild. We’re Casual PvX with active WvW team. International and on Far Shiverpeaks.
The guild itself has a 9 year old history, and I’ve been with the community for 7 years myself. We went into GW2 from GW1 with about 40 players that we’ve gathered up through the years that were still in touch.

Some have made friends, some have found partners through the years within this community.

Our “requirements” to join are quite simple:
Little requirements
- social attitude
- knowledge about the game content and mechanics is a plus, but not necessary. We’re very open to teach you anything you want to know as long as you’re open to learn.

We use TS3 for voicecoms.

I must say, that I had a ridiculously fun night the other night, when the Kodash zerg was trying to take our keeps and towers in EB.

My 5man team kept attacking mendons gap, and catapulting the Piken keep double gate almost down to 0 health!

5mans to distract a while zerg, while the rest of your map can focus on defense. I mean we were not more than 15 people on that map, against 30, maybe 40 Kodash?

Was the most fun in ages. We held the Keep, and Langor and Bravost through the night..

Thanks for your response. I think I would prefer a NA based guild because my playtime is usually like 5pm-midnight CST (11pm-6am GMT I think) on weeknights. Also, I was hoping to not have to server transfer, although I would consider it if I thought the guild was a perfect fit.

I understand this concern. As I said however we do have members from NA already, and a lot (well plenty) of our EU base is up the whole or half the night.
Which is also why we are recruiting more player from that base.
