Are you insane? Everyone s conplaining about wvw lag ,queues and godawfull time to get the rewards in a game that has no new content that justifies 2more years of this.
What needs to be adressed is the bull they made that every border has long queues. If im getting in a border today you can be sure ill just move my char around every9m to make sure i can stay inside even if im making dinner taking a shower etc. I shouldnt have to wait 2 hours to play again.

i really think that cosmetics is no where near the big issue this patch brought… the queue that prevent wvwers only plaers from playing is gamebreaking. lietrally myself and most a i know that only play wvw will just give up if this continues and after the hype is gone wvw will be left even emptier.
Really nearly 100 queue on each border. when wvwers have to farm pve never afects pvers now that u made pvers have to farm wvw the people that only play this mode cant go and play toghether and are stuck waiting for hours. im thinking you will loose more players than you get this way.

Well if you want to zerg around i cant really help you because i dont like it but regarding smallscale roaming here watch one of my gameplays and see what you think.
No one focused you = bad opponents, which was also obvious as most of them were low ranks.
Not one single time a thief pressured you. He would two-shot you.
No one dodged your heavily telegraved GS skills.
The one time you were focused by 3 enemies your team babysitted you immediately but you still ended up in downstate.
I saw some solid gameplay, but also no competent opponents.
But thats what makes good videos a better player defating lower skills ones because 2 of the same skill level against 1 will always win or even if the 1 is above them this game does not allow reall skill to be proven.

If anything they should allow instant whispers instead of having the trouble of blocking type name etc etc.
Most of the “roaming” guilds these days are just gankers, either preying one smaller numbers, or pin snipers.

Thats funny when i roam with QQ before i had less real lofe issues to atend to, we would prefer to poke larger dumb numbers than ours rather than gank smaller groups. Well to be honest, if you aren’t at least solo capping the paper and t1 towers and keeps between the camps as well, the zerg duking it out on a wall somewhere are probably earning your server more score ticks.
So me doing the job or a small group already isnt enough? Im sorry but this game even if ot were meant to mass pvp doesnt appeal that much for the lack of alternatives when zerging. While roaming and outnumbered fights you will evolve much better as player while a zerg player from what i see gets picked off trying tp get back to the zerg by pro roamers.

Holtz let them be. Till they NERF all the op builds classes that have been ruling over wvw fpr years let necros have a taste. I despise condi gameplay because i disagree with anets idea of condi damage being as powerfull or more than ppwer based builds but for those that enjoy let it be. Ill just play this game till a better one comes around and even so im playing something else more fun after 1 hour of this boredom condi game.

No please no. Do not waste resources on this too much. If amyrhing add a newap with some underwater tunel to travel fast (with currents or something) and maybe some special speed boost shrine or like nthis. Not more.
I think it will for wvw players like myself. If i want good pve gw2 is not it OF COURSE i mean common. Anyway, how much more can wvwers take if next expac doesnt bring really good things to thw game mode? Continue to do the exact same thing ina game mode broken in terms of balance between classes either in smallscale or large scale? I thin the game will stay around but due to nothing fixed and added EXCLUSIVELY FOR WVW IT Will get a of 6 to 12months decent active population and then drop even more than before the expac.

There will probably be some kind of balance patch coming with the expansion based on internal testing of the new elite specs and balancing those in particular. There’s rumor that Reaper will get adjusted to be a power spec (remove chill bleed and make chill do direct dmg).
Ill love to see how power reapers sustain will be without BB. Unless you can one shot multiple targets with new deathly chill or increase sustain greatly fpr a ppwer reapa no one will take it in wvw.
Good tips, but it doesn’t change the fact that reapers are overtuned right now in wvw. Reapers, Chronos and zerkers are all in the same boat now as far as high reward and low effort go. They all do need to be tuned down a bit. I’m not saying you’re wrong, on the contrary, I agree with you. But they are overtuned right now and do need some shaving. The risk/reward factor is way off for all 3 of those classes right now as far as small scale fighting goes. Druids are borderline, but i’d say its mostly their pets that need to be changed. Shouldnt be able to build tanky and have a bursty pet.
No offense, but if you can’t avoid bristleback burst with the amount of evasion and blocks and invulns and most importantly the amount of reflects in this game nowadays then you need to adjust how you play in general and understand you are most likely a bad player.
Literally 2 pets, in which case smokescale doesn’t even have burst … Want to know burst?
~1700 toughness warriors w/ + toughness on cc trait dealing 7-8k arc dividers and 400+ hp regen a tick and 90% resistance uptime and an immense amount of gap closers, that’s burst with high tank and high mobility. All of which druid would not come close to even with a high concentration + power build.
I think with druid you’re mistaking boon availability (not even exclusive to druid either) uptime with being “tank”. The 2 are not the same, and is important to note when considering balance.
To even compare bristleback burst, which is on a high delay from the moment of hitting f2 and needs to actually be setup properly to work well to the amount of burst in this game by thieves, chrono marauder, warriors is unbelievably foolish – no matter HOW much tank you have.
Also, your idea of “high tank builds” is such a one dimensional way in thinking in this day and age in Gw2 as well. Evasion uptime , unvulns and blocks have pretty much replaced most “tank builds” and have the ability to push out massive damage in the same tune since HoT and elite specs came out.
I think the only 2 true tank builds would be druid tank build (no dmg output, not even with bristleback , sorry) and the minstrel ele support tank build – both of which do no damage at all.

I never said I couldnt kill druids or avoid their burst. It IS broken though that you can be tanky and still do damage. That’s just bad design whether its power or condi damage on any class. That’s not balanced any way you look at it. If you have tanky stats, you should do no damage. If you’re glass, you should do alot of damage. All I’m saying is pet damage should scale with player gear. If they go glass, glassy pet. if they go tank, tanky pet.
And any druid that can’t land their burst on someone is a terrible druid. I have zero problems ccing someone then getting my burst to land. I can easily 1 shot most thieves eles, and other druids with just my pet alone. With proper timing and cc, you can make the burst land. And when it does land it does a ton of damage, too much damage if you have tanky stats.

As far as condi goes if i have time to see the food of my enemy and its condi i switch eother the heall for condi heall one and “you are all weaklings” for signet transfer. But yes condi good players will kick ur kitten . Thats why i prefer durability runes. That one second or resistance saves u from a BIG TICK of condi damage.

Since they ate spirits i say make them untargetable and unable to be hit or cc at all for while they are up. Also make them faster on moving much faster they need to be spirits that can warp to targets.

Damaging Conditions have always kept the applying player in combat since the Beginning of the Game, and Stealth not revealing on Condi Tick and staying in Combat are two completely different mechanics entirely, this highlights my second to last point in my post you are replying to.
Again if someone stays put for a Thief to easily re-engage is a l2p problem of the defending Player.
No Stealth changes to combat mechanics have changed in regards to Damaging conditions and OOC they have always kept players in combat until no more ticks are on the player and the players are far enough distance away, it has been this way since launch.and Shadow Return has a Short time to use which normally expires before the Thief OOCs let alone reset their health completely……..
Lol, well, I used to use the technique of applying conditions on people, disengaging, resetting, and re-engaging back in Year 2, so I can say for certain that you’re wrong.
Also, if you don’t know how to disengage and easily re-engage on a thief, maybe you’re the one with the l2p issue. It’s seriously not that hard, and some people have made a cottage industry of it.
Seeing how I have played his game since launch, it’s hasn’t changed at all, it just sounds like you don’t know basic game mechanics in the slightest. Sort you haven’t noticed mechanics that have been in game since launch.
And nope and I saying I have issues with Thief Disengaging? Nope, I just don’t try to portray something as not being affected by basic Game mechanics, all I see is you complaining about it so you seem to have some l2p issues to work on.
Thieves aren’t this all powerful boogey man that can’t be killed, players just need to learn basic mechanics that have been in game since launch.
The game hasnt changed since launch? Really? Wvw now is NOTHING like it was at the beggining and nowhere as fun.
I’d hate to see this change. No downed state would reward stupid stealth mechanic builds and huge bursts to the detriment of more balanced builds.
Deciding whether to res the downed state or downed that low HP opponent in a small scale fight is part of the tactics and skill of small scale- it also means that stupid stealth burst or huge condi burst toons don’t get an auto kill.
If you remove downed state then it would push even more the condi meta as everyone would tank up in zergs and there would be even less build variety. Who would want to play ele when the enemy has 5-10 thiefs ganking squishies the whole time?
Get rid of downed state and we’d see stealth wars- or have you never met the 5 man roaming party of scrapper, mes and 3 thiefs (or two and a druid) that appear briefly to down you and disappear just as quickly?
Therefor NERF stealth classes so they wouldnt be able to do that easy. If they wanna one shot like they already do tbh they shouldnt be able to outrun when outnumbered. This game mode needs more atention and a diferent direction. The one it has is not working. Removing downsstate in OUTNUMBERED buf only would be awesome. There is no tactic for every class to cleave or kite after downing 1 in a 1vs3.and if its a 3vs 6 or a 3vs8 its the same. The players with smaller numbers should be rewarded that kill.
This would definitely make stealth/burst roamers even more powerful. There’s not any skill involved in showing up out of stealth with the help of massive teleports in order to burst someone down in a few seconds. I don’t think it deserves any additional reward.
I say this as a roamer that often fights 1v2 or 1v3 and often sees downed opponents rezzed. If their allies are busy doing that, I’m free to light them all on fire for a few seconds. That’s fine by me.
Therefor this stealth classes with INSANE BURST need to be toned down from one shoting people. Ome shot build exist in almost orvr game but the ability to outrun without a counter after the burst is whats wrong.
Single target immobilize in a Dagger (melee) it’s ok:
you have to get close to the target to use the AA
Maybe dagger need a life siphon buff like 2 condition transfer with the last pulseAoE immobilize in Axe (ranged) weapon it’s OP:
you can camp one weapon that have burst and keep foes away from you

There isnt even a WVW ascended armour vendor in that neglected game mode and now you r bringing new shinies for pve only. Even spvp got a decent way of getting ascended 2 seasons ago. And wvw we can go 600ranks and get AT MOST a pair of rimgs with fixed stats, not even able to select stats.
The hardest work has been making it animate. Now that is out of the way, I would expect it will open the door for more designs and across other modes. WvW feels prime for this, since it lacks a lot of reward incentives to bring new blood and it’s a signature part of the game.
I have litle faith in that but maybe if i get a DEV post on subject i can change my mind and the rest of wvwers that feel the same.

Have an icd of 1/2s for cc stun daze and after inturrupts after breaking theese. Not fun being stunlocked after wasting 2 or even3 stunbreaks sometimes. Its a bit too much.
The final strike should be 1s and deal a damage cone in front of the reaper with a 600range.
