Yes the holiday stuff is just aesthetic it is temporary and offers no real end game in terms of pve content. PVP has not been neglected in fact it is getting new mode with the expansion. Not to mention of all the WvW changes and patching and upgrades that have just recently been brought about. The continued displaying of PvP tournaments you don’t see Anet streaming on twitch dungeon runs. Living story omg your right you really just added so much to the conversation I forgot that I can run living story and that it is both challenging engaging and offers actual rewards worth the time spent. Please spare me the woe is me about PvP when it is quite frankly the only thing that Anet has focused on. Also the seasonal stuff you speak is literally 90% regurgitated content.
It does seem like anet just kinda doesn’t care about pve content though. The focus really is more for them seemingly aesthetics and pvp which if thats the case I suppose I will be exiting stage right once something better comes along. Shame cause I love this game so much he combat system is really addictive but to only focus on such small parts is wasteful and selfish and very inconsiderate to the community.
I am wondering if this is considered a violation of the EULA or any terms of service. As I have seen a number of people glitching these 2 paths apparently there is a way to run them both simultaneously. I find it pathetic tbh that people play the game to use shortcuts as such. Why even bother but beyond that I wanted to see if someone from anet can let me know if this is a violation so as to maybe deter those that are doing it from doing so. I value my account to much and enjoy the game as it is meant to be played to much to even bother with this but I was in a party tonight that had advertised for p2-p3 and upon getting to what should have been the chain boss they went to p3 burrows and I asked about it they stated they were doing both at the same time. So my question is, is this a bannable offense or does Anet not really care?
Yea, Mesmer dps is pretty subpar. It is definitely in much need of rework clones die almost instantly at times. We feel more like a support class most of the time with offering reflects, mass invisibility aoe condi cleanse etc. it seems our dps is an afterthought. Don’t get me wrong its not like we offer nothing but we are most certainly towards the bottom of the latter which is really un fair when you think about it. Looking specifically at Ele for instance they have amazing might stacking vuln and swift stacking and have some of the highest dps in the game. Heck necro would be better than Mesmer in pve if they only offered more support to the group.

It is ironic in a way SOE did the same thing with SWG calling it a NGE New Game Enhancement similar to this NPE New Player Experience and for SWG was the downfall of the game I would have gathered Anet prioritized a bit better and worked on overall balance and class improvements rather than the new skill system. Its a joke in and of itself to me I just farm skill points from pvp and then buy my skills so all anet has done is prolonged my ability to get my traits and such. I would love to come out of this Zerker meta in pve and be able to rock sinister stats or even celestial on my engi in dungeons and have that be actually viable. Eh anyways yea I have deterred from recommending the game myself because of recent changes and the recycling of old content.
So I decided id like to try out the sinister armor but Anet in all their glory decided to make it only obtainble by crafting it which is just really poorly thought out, it feels lazy as if the over a million karma i have sitting collecting dust should just continue to do so why not add in karma vendors with the new armor rather than forcing someone to blow all of their money to craft to 400 then buy the recipes then aquire the mats which drum roll requires even more money.
Your accusing anet of being lazy because they make you craft it? Adding something to a vendor is far more lazy than creating new recipes, new mats and new areas to obtain all this stuff so you can craft it.
Sounds like you are the lazy one here. You just want to be able to log in and use currency you already have so you can get the shiny new items right away with little to no effort.

Ever hear of the pot calling the kettle black maybe before you judge and insinuate something you should think logically. My idea of adding it to a vendor had thought behind it thanks it would require the player to accumulate said currency to purchase it similar to dungeon tokens or wvw currency. My stating about the lazy aspect was because it is only these new stats that are required to be crafted to be had. This is lazy as it goes against basically ask other forms of ascertaining gear in the game. So next time your decide you want to judge and accuse someone you should think first.

Yea, I know i already looked in to celestial I main an engi and both sinister and celestial are stats I wanted to play with but being more of a casual player don’t have the patience nor inclination to try and ascertain these items the way that Anet has decided to implement them. So either anet fixes what is clearly a broken method or meanwhile I will just bite my time as there are a lot of good looking titles coming. Heck if its better Ill take a sub based game over this really gets frustrating when you play for as long as I have and really feel like the time you have put in really hasn’t been rewarded nearly as much as it should.

I am trying to save for a precursor but now am at a crossroads do i blow my gold on 1 armor set which is really just overly ridiculous i would have to spend approx 30g to lvl up leatherworker then however much for the mats that i lack. I am just sick of this game not rewarding time spent as opposed to implementing such poor methods. In closing Anet please reconsider how players aquire gear with new stats like celestial another set id love to try but dont have the gold stash to just blow on. Although, I do have so much of other types of currency that you seem to have compeltly forgotten about like karma. \

If this is going to the future of the game introduce a new stat and only way to aquire is through crafting then make gold gain more obtainable. Make a players time worth the effort or omg encourage end game pve by i dunno adding in raids or something that offers these rarer stat types for players actually playing.

^^^what they said, its okay we approaching the release of so many other mmo’s with mac support for native clients I am sure the population of GW2 will be impacted enough then for the support team to realize how much in poor taste it was to release a gw2 wrapper port and then neglect us the way they have for over 2 years. I am slightly over it at this point not going to say anything nasty about the company but def left a sour taste in the mouth after being here since beta.
This does not surprise me at all we have had subpar lackluster support as it is to say the least. I don’t ever see the mac client coming out of a beta format which is sad its a poor reflection upon the company for even saying they support mac taking our money then throwing their game in to a wrapper and sticking it in a buggy beta for over 2 years. I for one am very turned off of NCSoft and specifically ArenaNet after this I will continue to play Guild Wars 2 until something better comes along currently there is not enough support for mac and not nearly enough end game content. The game in and of itself seems lost at the moment they have too much focus on the PVP trying to turn it in to an ESports game rather than just a mmorpg as it should be or at the very least giving pve content the same babying that pvping gets.

Holl I can tell you from personal experience that its really up to you. There is no great hinderance in distance because in any spvp and tpvp you should not be chasing off point anyways. If they want to run let them. maintain the point and with bombs you have the best way of doing so. I typically run grenades but that is just a personal preference. I have run a triple kit with bombs and really enjoyed it. gives you more ranged as well but do what you enjoy not what ppl tell you. The minute you start to worry about what others have to say on how you should play is the minute you stop enjoying the game for yourself.
I don’t see anyone else posting about this had an entire map complaining about it and it was absurd like 30 seconds long lag spikes. Would be hitting someone spike then they would be clear across the room.
How do we hard counter them with their perma knockdowns and seemingly tankyness. It is a bit of a ridiculous mechanic imo but how do you all counter it.
It is clear how op it is just by the influx of ppl playing the class now as opposed to before the god mode was inserted. I just got out of a match with 3 thieves and 2 rangers and yea just ridiculous. Makes a person question why they bother supporting the game much more if this is really what is to be expected hambow warriors and lb rangers thieves spamming number 2.
I have a ticket 991671 that I submitted and then responded to as I had not heard back and still have not. This is the second time in a 1 month period in which I have submitted a ticket and it has taken 3 days or more for any response. Just really disappointed in the lack of overall customer service offered by Anet at this point. The fact that I have had to reach out this much, I am going to move forward with a BBB complaint.

I am new to engi and really enjoy it but am struggling in spvp with rangers specifically they just melt me with their lb 2 spamming. I am running a celestial build 6/0/0/4/4 with names and toolkit.
the update for mac is bigger than windows maybe perhaps because windows is better maintained than mac beta 2 years in.
a whopping 2 fixes yay.
I keep trying to hop in to sPvP and it keeps saying connection error check your internet but I am in game so obviously my internet is working lol.

Thinking about it id love to see our dagger 2 perform more like rangers rapid shot does now. I think that would make the skill more viable to use. It just has such a long cast time I dont both with it nor does it feel rewarding enough.
I think it would make it more useful as it is right now I just pretend like d 2 does not exist and thus, I never use it unless by accident.

The popup window you speak of firstly appears outside of the actual game which is a contradiction to the like also the popup window does not display a time frame again a contradiction to the line I quoted. I did not leave out the line you referred to out of maliciousness. This is a direct violation of their own guidelines as I to this moment now over 24 hours into the blocking of my account have not been notified nor told the specifics of length of time nor reason/s. p.s I am not arguing the validity of weather or not I was in fault of using poor words and / or name calling profanity , typically as a lash back at someone who initiated the conversation with me. At no point have I outwardly sought after another player harassing them only in returning said whisper of harassment. My anger stems from the fact that this is terrible support of any kind. There is no customer support number, there was no slap on the wrist or warning giving that I had been in breach of anything nor that a blocking would be imminent and then when I proceeded with opening a ticket I was brushed aside and told that the matter had been escalated. Yet was still not given any idea of what I had done or an idea of how long the time period would be.

It has been roughly 24 hours and I only have received 1 email back in the ticket I opened and that was passing the buck along stating that the ticket has been escalated and I would hear from someone which never happened. So not only have I not heard any formal reason as to why I was unable to access my account, in my request to inquire as to the length of the block I was given the run around.
Thanks, yea my real issues is that I have been playing this game since release and never had so much as a slap on the wrist. So to go from that to this makes no sense. I would understand had a GM or Support rep emailed me in r/l or in game letting me know that I had been reported and that was a warning but that has never been the case thus this is the first documented case of any “unacceptable” behavior and so if this is how Anet / Guild Wars 2 support staff handle this kind of matter than I would hope the Ban Hammer is strong, cause just as I may have said some less than desirable things I have been the victim of the same thing, I always look at it as such an eye for an eye. Secondly is the fact that while agreeing to the EULA I may allow them to do whatever with my account it still does not justify my consumer rights being used against me in a questionable manner. Did i probably say some offensive stuff sure, does most of the people in game or a large ammount you bet ya. So my only real problem is that this did not escalate in any way, that it only happened to be right after I had just made a purchase of gems matter of factly and started a new character. Which I am sure has nothing to do with it but regardless shows that I have continued to support this product and expect some level of respect fot the fact that I am a consumer and have said rights.
