How do you propose that the QA team properly test something that is due to go out to millions of players? Fact is, there’s no way to find every bug. Every game out there has them, and it’s because things happen that can’t be predicted until it’s in the live environment.

Given S1 rewards still haven’t been received I’d say it was a fair bet that the same thing would happen.

Wildstar doesn’t have an in built FOV slider its in an add on. But yeah thw ability to use addons makes this kind of thing possible anyway.

If you really think it is the same system in PvE as here you are rather ignorant.

In PvE it is simply “complete this achievement and get this reward as soon as it is done”.
In WvW it is “complete this achievement, and then at the end you get a reward based on your placement”.

But they could have done it the same way as PvE given the the issues with S1 rewards still unsolved.

As an active participant in the “Horizontal Progression: CDI” thread, I can confirm that many of the top requested things were addressed in the April 15th patch, and one of those things was a more interactive method of gaining traits. Many people suggested a system similar to GW’s skill-hunting. So this is clearly in response to that, and kudos to Anet for listening, and starting to make adjustments based on the feedback from players in the new system.

Based on that thread I envisaged this occurring around the utilities not the traits. Also all they’ve done is tie them to existing events which was not what people wanted. Plus there’s the issue of not being able to unlock traits when they are available because the event to do so is in a zone in advance of the player. Basically they took the idea and completely kittened it up in implementation.

T1 obviously isn’t really going to notice much difference than the usual though.

Anecdotally I’d say the turnout was less based on T1 pop and based on feedback I’ve heard from other servers BUT this is related to WvW proper not EOTM if EOTM is included well it quite possibly could be higher but then I don’t regard that as WvW. Plus there was nothing else on PvE wise during S2 and it was longer. This shouldn’t have an effect on reward functionality however.

Get 25-30 eles together and they melt gates as well should they be nerfed as well?

Issues with tournament rewards have existed since S1, anet knows they exist, they haven’t been fixed yet still went ahead with S2 and its rewards without finding and fixing the issues, seeming expecting everything to miraculously be hunky dory. That is unprofessional.

I’m going to voice an unpopular opinion, this is a good call. If its an issue, why should some people who are suffering from a bug be doubly affected, by not having their chest at all they’re afraid, and by seeing other people with their items they’ll be bummed out. Nobody has access to the vendor, everybody is on equal footing.

Really? Cause I hated S1 and S2 was worse. They complete ballsed up the scoring system to the extent that it made the season more meaningless than S1, this was a major major design flaw that even cursory modelling would have shown up.

Variety is a good thing but the swiss style system used for S2 was never going to result in that at least not in the gold tier and even a cursory modelling of possible results would have shown that.

As for future tournaments its pretty clear that the majority of WvW players do not want them.

What system do you mean? AvA in ESO is significantly better than WvW in its set up and conception. The issues with it are more issues with the game as a whole.

If you mean the megaserver it has nothing to do with the AvA, it has campaigns which for all intents and purposes are separate servers.

They asked for quick wins, obviously 5 months is considered quick by anet standards.

Sorry to re-post this but I wanted to update you all.

Below is what another unnamed MMO stated they would be implementing before release. Post release they have since recanted this saying it was a lot more technically difficult than they at first imagined.

Since what they are suggesting is exactly what most of us are calling for (some sort of RP weighting mechanism for the megaserver) it might be more difficult to implement than it seems.

I have no doubt this is correct, however the answer for anet then was to not implement the megaserver for capital cities and LA.
