I had a similar idea, with fear still “hitting” enemies even if they have stability but doing nothing (so you still get the terror damage) and removing a stability stack each tick.
If you kit out your home instance and visit it everyday, the gift of Sprokets will generate a blade shard or 2 and about 10 silver of Watchwork Sprokets every day.
And if you get 4 nodes in you home instance, such as the free Aurilium node & the laurel bought candy corn and quartz crystal nodes, then you get super easy “miner” daily achievements just by visiting the correct home instance.
Laurels should first be used on getting ascended trinkets. But, after you have those, the nodes aren’t a bad purchase.
What’s the drop rate on reclaimed metal plates like? I Can’t get one to save my life.
Reaper is crying for an axe buff. Axe’s awfulness is probably why Reapers are o terrible in pvp.
I just went through the challenge mote on story mode for the Mordermoth fight. Migraine Achievement..

Dungeons aren’t dead.
They are still needed for legendary weapons and all sorts of other prestige weapons. There are still dungeon master and dungeoner tracks to complete. They still give out silver rewards. People will still do them.
I think it’s important that people complain about stuff that is actually broken. B/c there is some of that in HoT

The challenge mote suggests a party of 5, but how are you supposed to get 5 ppl in your party when there is no WP and the only way people can one help is to finish the previous story mission?
Also did you just beat the meta or did you wait for the map to change? In Verdant brink, the boxes come at dawn after a successful meta, not on completion of the meta.

The guy above said “we don’t want ppl to cheese with nomads”. What game is he playing? One of the reasons for the Berzerker meta is 1HkO mechanics that kill through nomads.
At this point, nomads would be welcome. Groups that could beat a boss with Nomads could beat it faster with better gear.
Maybe a future festival could dump some extra supply of pig,nets and flax oil into the market to satisfy short term demand while keeping the long term sink stable.

This kind of already is true.
Necromancer minions do very low damage and mostly exist as defensive buffs for the necromancer. Kill the minion, the necromancer loses its defense.
I’m ok with the initial guards being weak.
It’s something that attacking teams need to commit at least two players (one to take out guards another to take out anybody on the treb) to at the start of the game, which limits what else the team can do.
A group condition damage or duration buff, similar to spotter, is what curses needs.
Add that and necromancer gets a meta role, even if condition necromancer has all sorts of other issues.
Ok, Devon seems to think that the $$/time rewards in WvW are good.
But where are the exclusive rewards?
Where are the achievement points (fewer for WvW than Pvp/PvE and harder to get)? Where are the WvW exclusive armors? (Some actually exist but are priced too cheaply making their acquisition trivial). Where are the exclusive weapons (the tournament reward weapons are a nice start) and minis?
And how come XP gained in WvW gives you nothing? Not even advancing a reward track? I think WvW lost a lot of people to PvE mastery grind. It’s lost me. I’m trying to finish my mastery before the PvE rush dies down and it becomes a slog to complete events or find people for story achievements.
Xp earned in WvW should do something.
Advance a mastery track somewhere or occasionally give out rewards (like spirit shards on the old system)
There is very much a competitive scene in EoTM, there is constant movement and action and you get 2-3 big Zerg v Zerg fights per hour.
Many of the people are there to k train and the place is still full of up levels. Also the no server setup means coordination is bad.
But EoTM is a legit game mode. If anything it’s like the PvPvE of other successful games.
EoTM needs to be un nerfed too.

Sylvari are dragon minions who basically prepare the world for the awakening of Mordremoth. Although part of a collective, They have individual jobs to do, individual programming called a dream. Trahearne’s job was to take out Zhaitan.
Once Zhaitan is gone, what’s the point of Trahearne? He did his job, he fufilled his reason for existence. All that was left for him to do was to retire.
I got a chest of Ascended Rampager Armor (I get to select the piece) yesterday.

Maybe the drop rate was not nerfed in pvp and maybe Pvp is now the place to go for ascended armor drops. But what about Tequatl, TT Wurm and WvW? Those places are probably still reliable for ascended drops.
GS is bad in Pvp.
I dont think it was intended to ever be good in Pvp either. I think GS was just the Devs “how do we up Necromancer DPS from rock bottom to mid tier without breaking Pvp.”
If I’m wrong about this and greatsword was supposed to be playable, here’s my suggestion:
Increase the attack speed on the third hit of the autoattack. This makes the third hit a reliable execute, and punishes enemies for not avoiding the really slow first and second hits.
I got an ascended ring from the daily box for finishing 3 fractals. That’s where the rewards are.
I don’t see an achievement (and daily box) for 50+ fractals. What do I have to do to unlock this so I start getting a chance at fractal loots? Mastery Related? Finishing all 1-50 fractals related?

Rune of the Lich was maybe the worse runeset in the game.
The minion, even Traited, was awful compared to the Ogre or Parrot. And the other runes had good bonuses, such as Ogre’s 4% bonus to damage that Lich didn’t have.
Maybe they can fix Lich Runes now. My fix: have them pop a lich #4.
U can run with the train in plague form.
Use #3 or #2 Traited and you’ll be fine. You will not do much damage but you will tag everything for loot and you will separate players from their zerg with your cripples long enough for them to be picked off.
I also am not sold on what Reaper gives you that necromancer doesnt already give you.
It needs the floating toxic cloud that marsh drakes have.
Reaper is crying for an axe fix. Crying… The major thing holding back the reaper is lack of ranged pressure.

I’m worried about the Blighter’s Boon nerf. Necromancer couldn’t get access to boons because of Blighter’s boon, but now the trait is bad and the Necromancer still doesnt have boons.
Would have much rather had increased boon application across all trait lines than the 25% or whatever increased heal they gave.
There should be a mystic forge recipe to make the endless batwing tonic.
This is all.
Would prefer condition duration over toughness and a better, entirely new, #6 bonus.

How do the new map bonus rewards work?
Do they work like a progress bar that you cant see? Does your progress reset? Do you have to stay on the map to get progress? It the progress account bound or character bound? Is there a popup that shows you when you got the loot, or does it go straight into your inventory?
Obviously none of these answers are on the wiki. The wiki is being updated very slowly.
And anet is terrible with explanations/tutorials. It’s hard to figure out what to do sometimes.
I saw somebody in Auric Basin with the Pumpkin Head Moa, so it exists. But where do you get it? Doesn’t seem to drop from ToT bags. It isn’t on the TP.

If you didnt run spite before and still took blighters boon then it only shows how OP it is cause that trait is like made for spite.
If its made for spite, it should be a spite trait.

correct me if I’m wrong, but are there any incentives for joining the losing team in a hot-joint spvp match other than moral ones?
If not, wouldn’t it be nice if A-net would give them?
Here’s why: So far, if I join a losing team and the other ones are just bulldozing us down, this will not change till the next map. This is because new people are very likely to join the winning team, no the losing team (“I want my daily pvp win done”). So not that the winning team is much better anyway, they are also outnumbering the losing team most of the time.
This leads to me getting frustrated and leaving or enduring till mapchange. Is anyone else experiencing that?Thanks for discussing,

If you auto balance over to the outnumbered team, you automatically get credit for a win, plus you get bonus Pvp XP.
So, there’s not zero incentive.
I love unholy Samctuary. It is a lifesaver against focus fire every time. It fixes a major weakness of the necromancer.
Bligher’s boon is a lousy heal over time that depends on you running spite, boon runes, and landing attacks or it does nothing.
It’s somewhere in the middle of all the classes.
Still way behind the top tier classes. And even less ingame than what theory crafters will admit. Everytime you dodge, your gravedigger goes on cooldown and ranged damage for those times when it’s too hot to tank is pathetic.
Maybe they should have just let the Reaper receive allied heals in shroud.
Well if it has to be selfish switch it to Conditions Applied instead of Boons received. We have no consistent source of Boons but we don’t lack for condition application.

Life Force: 1%I actually suggested that, making a thread that is below this one. And agree 100% that this would make the trait much more functional for Condition and Power builds alike. It would fix Condi reaper’s problem with LF generation (a bad necro problem) while also helping power builds sustain themselves.
The key thing would be to make it so that applying 3 stacks of vul at once awards the same amount as giving 1 stack of vul, so then it doesn’t spiral out of control like the orginal BB did.

Decimate defenses still makes reaper shroud do less damage than dagger/greatsword. We’ve got too many shroud traits already.
The Chill trait suffers because your chills are too short and the damage gets overwritten by allied chill stacks.

Only the Warhorn daze seems effective against break bars. I would love to bring a condition removal on a weapon, but there’s no space.
The 400 point elite track would have been fine if it was 250 points to unlock the skills and traits, then 50 points to unlock the weapon, 50 points to unlock the weapon and 50 points to unlock the armor..
We all would have loved that.
