Shorten the requirement for some dailies would be a good idea. Also group dailies to convenient bunches, such as kills, kill variety and aquatic; or maguman killer, maguman veteran killer, maguman event completer etc so people can get all 5 done at the same time.

Maybe it’s because I never played GW1, I really don’t get Tengu, they are just another beast race to me and I hate birds! I would very much dislike if they just added in beast race after beast race and the game started to look like a zoo.

I already bought digital deluxe last year. I really want the heroic edition, if this is included in deluxe that would be great. If not, I would like the opportunity to pay a few more gems to get the other stuff.

I suggest they bring up the price of the digital deluxe for the sake of fairness. Offering more to new customers and leaving the old customers without reward for loyalty sounds too much like Blizzard to me.

People who bought deluxe long ago are loyal customers and should have some fairness at least.

The assassin race is Largos, they are so cool looking :} Imo much cooler than the playable races currently in gw2, and way more awesome than Tengu or Kodan. They are sleek, mysterious, individual… So very different from humans, yet still somewhat human or elf-like so that I relate to them. This race would be very popularly played, I guarantee that. /beg
I hope they don’t add in Tengu as a race, I would hate that as much as Pandas in wow, and that’s why I quit wow.

I did combat healer in my first week and I always expected another tier in the achievement. Sadly not, and it feels that bit more boring to revive NPC’s for one, it used to feel like I was reaching towards a goal but not since I finished the title.

I think that they have intercourse like humans, since they are modeled on humans. The females have chests and I assume they have the other parts too. They don’t have children though, they are born from the Pale tree.

In this game we can’t even see basic details about someone, they could be in level 40 green gear and we couldn’t tell if they had it morphed (which I always do). This is a massive problem. Not only does it take away from the reward of a player finally getting the gear they wanted for a long time, and being able to show what they have. It also takes away from our personal play time by having our time wasted, and by not being able to tell what the person next to us in LA is geared like. It would be much easier to make some of the harder Dungeon runs if you could at least start to communicate with random people with suitable gear.

A LOT of time is wasted getting groups. Dungeons on here can and have taken me over 4 hours before. I DO NOT want to be stuck with carrying through people who have made 0 effort to try and make themselves ready for harder content.

I CAN HELP, if and ONLY if I can see their items and build to give advice. I have played multiple MMO’s and I learn classes fast. It’s not rocket science, and I’m not the only one doing this. To advise new people as to the options of builds that they have to choose from after they tell me a bit of what they want from the game. I have always helped with advice, it takes me a few minutes, it’s easy and most of the time you make some friends. Spending 4 hours trying to get someone through an instance who is semi afk, is not something I am willing to do. That is where I draw the line. I will not boost people who haven’t even tried and I should not have to. If you are badly geared, go play with other people of the same gear level and good luck to you.

If you don’t want that, work some more on your gear and make some friends.

Finally, I would like to add that the GW2 community is more friendly and forgiving, I would suggest that not much elitist bullying would go on. However people who do not try to make their gear good enough in the first place should not waste the time of others.

This may or may not be of help, but you can remove the loot window by selecting auto-loot. You’re right though.

When you R-click to change camera angle/movement direction, the cursor completely disappears. Fast-cast Ground Targeting becomes a complete guess when I am moving, joy of joys. I have to go from memory. Can we have some options?

I like the animation. My suggestion is that if you wanna look strong roll a female norn, or even better a female norn with a staff. Nothing is more intimidating than that animation. Love it.

This goes with the suggestion of adding new weapons, maybe learnable.

Inspect is an infinitely useful tool to someone trying to learn the game, as well as skin collectors. How many times I see someone looking awesome but afk T__T

They could add new weapons for us to expand into, for example throwing spears and greataxes could be for warrior.
This would keep the personal growth going while still keeping each profession unique and awesome.

Personally I would like to add a wide choice of armor sets and some really long wild hairstyles too.

Why not have the option of buying a Dual Trait so you can switch between them for PvE or WvW.

As mentioned already, if you make your norns smaller they don’t seem as slow, the bigger you make them > slower their run looks. Also think about a profession with a lot of swiftness or a signet or trait for permanent speed. I would recommend a warrior with the constant 10% from traits, thief with amazing 20% signet and general mobility like jumps and flashes, guardian with more than enough swiftness for 3 classes, necro, ranger and ele with signets/traits too. Mesmer not so much, I have one and luckily I constantly play with my bf so he speeds me up <3

I love the /cheer animation. Norns don’t cheer, they get cheered at.

When she gets a skill point she says ‘I get it now’, in a little bit of a more humble way than usual. It’s cute to show that you’re still meant to be a young norn just out of the hunt.

I also love the part where my norn NEVER says ‘I could outrun a centar’, which I find immensely annoying XD

Actually I respect that not many of the styles of humans and norns are even similar If you look closely though, some of their hairstyles are the same.

I would like them to add maybe buyable styles into the game, such as ‘The Druid’ a long tangly style, which can be adapted for all races and be all leafy with flowers for sylvari. I feel truly long loose hair is missing, I love to look like I have been out in the wilds exploring for 10 years. Some of the concept art of the races has gorgeous loose hair, and I have already seen many threads of people asking for it. There are ways to do it with minimal clipping though it’s not an issue for me anyway. I use the longest style in the game atm, the fluffy top ponytail on female norn and it doesn’t clip too badly.

This could open them up to add more styles, one by one, tailored to what people want the most.

The female norn voice just feels LIFELESS to me, yes the lower tone of the voice is just fine, but I feel like it lacks any emotion. Granted emotion is something this game’s voice acting tends to lack, but to me the female norn’s lack of emotion is almost painful. (This is of course referring to cutscene acting and not combat lines.)

Yes you can cancel skill 2 by moving, dodging or jumping. The same is true if you go to use an ability and move, dodge or jump as you do it.
It’s a bit of a pain for someone as impatient as me, but I guess it’s necessary cause we need to keep mobile and responsive in fights to survive.

I suspect they will add hair styles in at some point and why I suspect this is that a lot of NPCs have been added recently with unique new styles. I hope that’s the case.

If that’s the case, ArenaNet could consider dragging more of NCSoft’s Korean artists stateside. As a general difference between the aesthetics of Western vs. Eastern MMOs, Asian artists often go for a more refined look for armors and emphasize style over function.

This post has examples of armour that represent the look I am after. I especially love the 3rd one, it’s fully covering plate but really gorgeous and elegant. I think this style would not look out of place in gw2.

Yes but there is already armour to your taste in the game, there really isn’t much choice for people like me. THAT is the point of this thread. I am not arguing that everyone should like what I like. I just want choices of armour for people with similar tastes to mine to use. If they added 1 pair of heavy boots with a slight heel and elegant looking, I bet you would start to see 50% of the playerbase using them, at the very least. But at the moment we do not have that choice.

Kal Spiro I play a ranged only guardian, I stay back in fights and support/revive. I am pretty much a mage/priest hybrid. I am in no way a soldier.

I would wear Light Armour on it if I could, but since I am not able to do that, I ask for something suitable for me.

Ake, if I did not feel strongly negative about the current sets, I would not feel the need for new ones.

Personally I mean a beautiful kind of decorative armour, somewhat like the Order of Whispers set. It’s feminine, fits perfectly. It could do with a few more touches here and there but it’s something. I just have to level up fully, finish all of the story and THEN think about buying it. Fair?

I would buy a decent set from the gem store but the ones on there are not to my taste at all.

I feel like the heavy armour is designed only by men, there is never a feminine touch like a belt or cynch/ an intricately engraved pattern/ differently shaped shoes.

I think it’s reasonable to expect such a beautifully designed game to have more than 1 well thought out set of armour for heavy. I would even like to design some myself at this point, that is how frustrated the lack of choice makes me. I wish I could add mods, even if only for my own visual enjoyment.

What I really think is important for us is to recognize that agreeing with the OP isn’t necessarily “stupid” or “sexist” or “anti-feminist.” If she as a woman prefers more “elegant” armor in combat, even if it’s less realistic, then that’s just her choice.

Yeah. Feminists are also (if female) women, and women unsurprisingly are not a hive mind. We all have differences of opinion over what’s feminine and what isn’t, and honestly everyone gets hung up on the word too much. If a woman likes it, fine. If a man likes it, fine. Who cares if it fits some vague definition of what’s traditionally associated to their gender.

I’m all for better diversity in the armour sets for both genders, although I’d point blank prefer to see much less gender imbalance in the sets. Some of the male versions vs female versions of one set are so different they could have been two completely different armour sets – and that would have given better options for characters of both genders, as well as stop locking out the male-default races from some of the prettified and skimpy sets that female characters seem to get.

It’s not evenly distributed across the classes, either. Light armour needs a lot more less overtly feminine sets for the ladies, and a lot more revealing and/or sexy sets for the men. Medium armour could use more revealing options across the gender board, and desperately needs fewer trenchcoat looks. Heavy armour does better, with plenty of revealing options for men and non-revealing options for the ladies, but I could get behind some more elegant-looking heavy sets. Some of the sylvari cultural stuff for the ladies is beautiful, for example, and personally I feel like I’ve got my sylvari guardian looking almost like a ‘caster’.

I know Anet probably wanted to make each armour class distinct, but they have fallen into a rut with the design patterns for each one. More diversity within each class is desperately needed, for both genders (and available to both genders, please).

You make a very good point, there needs to be some diversity for both male and female armour sets. I would defenitely agree with you there. I was only thinking about what I would want for myself personally and trying to explain, and since I exclusively play female characters I didn’t consider the other side of the stream.
I have not researched into male sets as extensively as for females, but I do know that the medium and light options not too great, especially all the medium coats. Sometimes in LA I feel like I’m being followed by private detectives.

If you want more detail on why Anet did not give the Charr breasts, you can find it in an early design document about the Charr. The design of both races would have suffered from such a modification in my opinion.”

I’m not going to answer to the entirety of your comment because I feel you completely missed the point there. However I want to clear up this point here, that I am not AT ALL referring to the physicality of the races Asura and Charr. I am only referring how their armours look identical from male to female, to me at least.
I don’t see how it is sexist to let a woman choose to do what she wants. If someone, male or female, does not like an armour set they don’t have to wear it. I just want some sets that I do want to wear.
I am a gw2 player and a female, I also believe in gender equality. Gender equality means we need to have our choice and freedom. It does not mean our clothes need to look exactly the same just incase someone gets offended. I want freedom of choice and new sets to fill a gap which I think needs filling. There are plenty of practical and masculine heavy sets for people who think a woman must look the same as a man. I love being female, I celebrate it and enjoy it. There are certain style aspects that for sure I would have on my armour if I could.

Also once again, I am personally not against plate bikini’s but in this thread I do not ask for them to be put in, I only ask for armour that covers but looks womanly. However if it’s unrealistic and I would die going into a fight in my plate bikini apparently (in a world where I can heal myself and dont get any real wounds mind), nothing is stopping me from running around fighting mobs in my underwear
