Been running around with almost similar build. I’m havin a “blast” for sure (pun intended). What kind of armor and accessories would you suggest with this build?

I don’t know how is “drop rates issue” – the backbone of in-game economy of any MMO is an issue of a small minority?

Yea, Cory’s been missing though. Wish he’d show up now and then. Always did great with fewer numbers with him. Phantom however has taken over his mantle by fighting zergs off with broken walls in NE tower, during our outmanned hours. That tower is his baby for a reason. :P

Yes, home border land’s defense can be very frustrating in T2, but try your hands with offensive BLs, your opinion of WvW being boring might change. And you play a thief, one of the funnest profs in WvW, once you get enough experiences you’d be able to pull off some crazy stunts

It’s not boring, really, it’s just that it feels like we’re against impossible odds. I don’t think we are bad by any means at all, we just don’t have the numbers. After a few hours, it starts to feel pointless to try anymore. But try we do.

Trust me, we’re in a much better position now compared to, say, last October.

Nothing can get worse than orb buffs. You’re lucky you started in this era lol. Just give it some time and you’ll appreciate the fight and the spirit that the server has. 3-4 days is too early to really judge. There are a few trolls, just like any server, but majority of the community is amazing. When things get frustrating, maybe form a small party and go yak sniping or camp flipping to understand the basics maybe? It’ll be fun. Sure we’ll lose them eventually, but we all know that already. We’re fighting because we enjoy the fights. I saw a fully upgraded keep being flipped yesterday in BGBL due to us being distracted at a camp by enemies and a few afk’ers inside the keep. But what was satisfying was that we also fought and have beaten enemy groups bigger than ours while we were outmanned in open field battles on the very same day. They have enjoyed it as much as we did and that’s what matters in the end. Take it slow, have some patience and you’ll appreciate WvW in TC overall.

Now I know who’s responsible for the bugs with the lightning hitting our siege even when we own all nodes. It’s him, ladies & gentlemen!

I still find it funny when people blame teams for culling and use the term perma-stealth thief. It just sounds… well… funny. Culling affects everyone of us – the zergs that use it to advantage and the groups that are the victims of it. Don’t tell me a group uses mass invi or veil or group stealth while approaching enemy for nothing. They do it to get that extra few seconds of advantage culling gives to their group.

As they say, “don’t hate the player, hate the game (game rendering engine in this case)”. I can’t see half the NPC’s in PvE either due to new culling mechanism that culls allies, should I blame those NPC’s as well? Calling out a group because of a fail mechanic saying that they don’t win if they don’t have that advantage isn’t really wise. Game also gave everyone AoE’s, make use of it.

How about Mae Young and her lovely child she gave birth to at almost 90… “The Hand”?

Are we allowed to talk all of this in a PG-rated thread, with Chuck Norris around?

That parade was a blast! I think coming together to have fun is what the game was made for in the first place so being creative about it only makes the experience that much more enjoyable.

Also, the duels at Bay with DIS and Esme from PLAY were loads of fun!

Well that’s the point isn’t it? In the end, we all have to realize that each red pixels have a human behind it (unless its a bot of course) and appreciate the work they have put in for their home server throughout the week, and that’s exactly what these parades aim to achieve. I /bow down to appledainty for the idea and for being committed to holding these events on a weekly basis.

I think we will hold a Yak Parade in Tier 1 someday.

I’d love to be part of it someday… I always missed parades due to time differences and I end up at work when the parade is on. If one day we make it to T1 and we hold a parade, I’ll take sick leave just to be part of it lol.

I find it funny that events like yak parades are more fun and get more participants from all servers in a tier like T2, which is presumed to be a hardcore tier.

Regardless of the score and coverage gaps and frustrations, I respect the hell out of both our opponents for realizing when it is time to fight and when it is time for some fun and appreciate what we’re trying to achieve here (even if these events end badly, most of it seems to have gone smooth and everyone seems to have had a great time).

I’m not sure which server he’s from and I don’t care. I also don’t know or care about what exactly happened as long as it has been dealt with in a more proper manner.

All I’d say is we’re in T2, let’s act a bit more responsibly than actually be called “hack/whine tiers” rather than “top tiers”.

I’ve been thinking this thread has been civil, funny, friendly, goofy and all that until now.

Should Anet put a tag line on top of every page of every thread in WvW section asking to not post any exploits/hacks in here, but instead report them to Anet directly and also in an unofficial way, we’ve been reminding each other to contact the guild officer directly without posting stuff in here so it can be sorted out in a more mature manner.

Painting an entire guild or an entire server as hackers/exploiters due to a kitten video with zero proof of so called “glitching” … hmmm.. lemme see the guild tags of 2 ppl posting about glitches. Sounds suspicious and there’ve been videos of these guys floating around as well. See where I’m going?
It’s easier to start a flaming war here than dealing with things in a more mature manner, which in fact would be a lot better for everyone and have a healthy competition. First of all, any mention of such activities in here only spoils the mood for everyone; second, actions of one or a few players are in no way representing the whole server or the guild in question itself.
Not only are you forcing the thread to be moderated/closed but you’re also
- spoiling the mood for every player involved in the matchup
- tainting the name of the guild or server in question
- making yourself look like a “kitten”. Nope its not censored, I did type the word K I T T E N, referring to cats.

I saw another guy post “oh its so uncomfortable for us wvwers”… we didn’t get where we are without ever WvWing, we wouldn’t be in T2. It’s equally uncomfortable to us when an entire guild or a server is painted black due to actions/words of a few while there’s zero evidence and is handled in a poor manner.

The temple itself is hidden and widely unknown. However, it is open almost all the time on TC, since we enjoy booting booties.

I think dropping incendiary rounds on FA & TC running around in bay last night for about an hour had to be one of the funniest things I’ve done in a while. Every now and then a group or of BG would go over to the shore and troll the vast, angry hordes on the plateau into coming down for easy bags and the next thing they know ‘oh god, oh god I’m on fire, it burns!’ and running around screaming.

Fire makes everything good.

Please mister TC, don’t report me! I joined your party to tell you that the guardian I was fighting with was pretty good, not to get accused. I have no bad feelings towards you, but I’d rather you post that video you said you got on youtube so I can see it too I promise it was infiltrator’s strike, not haX. Good fights all night from all three servers, keep it up!

With so many real hackers/exploiters running wild, you don’t really have to worry about getting reported or anything if you’re merely using your skills and unintentionally ended up on the wrong side. If Anet reviews the evidence (if they do at all), they would know it wasn’t any hack or exploit or anything (I’ll take your word on it since you came out here before someone called you out on hacks or whatever, and I wasn’t there at that moment). Some use skills and get unintended results, and some lack understanding of how other classes work and call it hacks. So for now you can stay relaxed and always present your case to Anet if it ever comes to that.
