There’s only one dragon that has the rank “Shatterer” at a time. He gets it when the previous dragon who had this rank was killed.
The other dragons you see may not be of the rank “Shatterer”. Doesn’t mean they shouldn’t exist.

To the JQ thief and BG guardian with whom I had an awesome 3-way fight for a good 20minutes by NW camp to Bay keep on TCBL last night SEA primetime, thanks for the fight. One of my favorite fights till date. I doubt if the fight would’ve ever ended if the JQ thief’s necro friend never stepped in to interrupt and stomp us :P.

7-8 teeth in Sparkfly are in the vicinity of Risen-infested areas or areas where there are Dynamic events involving saving a location from Risen or taking back a camp from them. That’s how I got around 7 of those. A couple were mentioned on map chat. 10th one was dead difficult and out of place so had to visit Dulfy to check.
Again guys, Dulfy didn’t find clues by herself. If you look at comments you can see people posting full maps of 10/10 clues. Other players, not Dulfy. She even thanks them by their names in the guide. People managed to find those on their own. Toughest one is Blazeridge if you ask me, since most of the clues were outside the Brand which seemed out of place to me, considering Sparkfly and Frostgorge were nearby the areas of dragon influence.
Tee See
I found 7 or 8 teeth on Sparkfly without visiting Dulfy. I did use the guide for remaining 2 or 3 because some of them were very difficult to find. It lets you explore the world. And if you have read the comments on the guide, you’ll know that Dulfy hasn’t found all clues by herself, just like all champion weapons data etc. Visitors help her in comments and she updates the guide accordingly. Now I wonder where did those players find the clues before Dulfy updated her site. Some folks have given a full map of Blazeridge and Frostgorge with all 10/10 clues. How did they find those clues without exploring?

Do we have any exact or approximate timeline on when Thaumanova reactor incident occurred? Is it possible to have happened much before than we realize, before Asura came to the surface upon Primordus’ initial stirring in the depths? Although it is stated that the incident happened recently, I don’t think we have any concrete info on how recent.
In a topic related to Thaumanova fractal, Colin (if I remember correctly) mentioned that the reactor incident has changed the entire world and that its impact on Tyria is much larger than we realize.
Is it possible that the release of the huge amounts of chaos magic was what actually caused the ED’s to rise this time to balance it? Maybe Inquest were actually conducting experiments on a bloodstone fragment (one of the two which are still missing) and it leaked magic that caused the incident in the first place. Just a weird theory that just popped in my head.

Classic!
Tee See
Just because Arenanet or someone posts here claiming their server defeated it, doesn’t make it true. They are most likely just saying that to get people to stop complaining about it.
TC did it 3 times, BG did it twice and many others did it. Not sure how hundreds could lie in unison on public forums? There’s nothing to complain about except if you’re too much used to mashing button 1 while akitteng in a safe spot.
Pls tell me that you are being sarcastic. There are videos of Teq being beaten by almost every server that got him.

There’s a video showing a 3 year old girl playing SAB, SOLO. Nuff said.

jkI agree, that was really fun. I think GW2 needed a PvE event like this, “let’s press 1” was getting very boring.
Yea I agree. About GW2 needing events like this, and Trax being so bad. Ok, let’s forget that I ever said the second thing…
It’s not even been 24hours since the event has been revamped and a server has already beaten it. Heck, Fire elemental used to be dead difficult when the game launched, and before this patch, for one whole year a lot of people couldn’t do Jormag properly. Sure it was beatable but half the people would die and many wouldn’t care about the golems.
Eventually everyone will beat Teq. Will take time and understanding of mechanics at player level to get used to it. The only thing that is temporary is Boss Week meta. Actual Tequatl achievements are permanent. Folks need to give it some time to get them. There’s no rush here.

I’d rather try to make it onto my server TC’s map and try to help our server succeed rather than guest to BG for myself to succeed. But dem queues and overflows… pfft.
Tee See
I have to admit I’m disappointed in you BG. You used TS to coordinate the teq fight. All the other servers are pugging it like how it was ment to be played. BG may have been the first to beat him, but having the coordination over TS is an unfair advantage over other servers who can’t get so many people in a voice chat. Beat the event with pugs like how all the other servers are playing it and how it was designed to be played and then I’d consider it the actual world first.
Anet made it clear that the event needs a lot of co-ordination and tactics to play than pure afk-zerging. BG did it in a way it is designed to be played. It is frustrating when event utterly fails due to lack of any co-ordination on a server, but it shouldn’t in any way discredit the work BG folks have put in to beat the event in a way it is supposed to be beaten.

The OP image does look a lot like Caithe, but I’m more interested in that black Dragon-like background in that image that stretches from the Sylvari’s dress.
I don’t think that’s a dragon it is Caithe’s right arm holding a dagger.
Maybe you’re right. At first glance it looked like a dragon background so I thought it could have something to further dragon storyline. But again if it her arm, it looks too muscular lol and looks like it is popping out of her back instead of from her side, where an arm is supposed to be. Again, its just a concept art, so I am just nitpicking things for some lolz. Maybe just wait and see what its about, if it’s anything other than revamped TA.

Wow BG! Grats!!!
Tee See
The green patterns on her face and her body say that it’s a Sylvari. A concept artwork is most often something that looks simple and human-like. I’m really curious about that black/olive dragon-like background extending from her dress or is it just a cape? It looks too much dragon-ish to me.
Edit: Meh, after looking closer it could actually be her hand holding a dagger.
Tee See

Its a concept art so most often they look like humans (Rox artwork during Queen’s Jubilee anyone? We even thought it was centaurs), and the green patterns on the face and green pallette used makes it clear that it is a Sylvari similar to this pic of Caithe:

[Meow], I hope you guys are finding fights while you’re on FA. Lol. I know it’s what you wanted.
[RISE], please do not consider coming back. I hope you have the patience for them, FA.
LOL liked we’d want to come back. FA fits nicely; less PPT obsession and very skilled allies in the open field.
You mean FA is RISE’s new pet project?
Tee See
I’ve seen many posts from both TC and FA claiming they’re not interested in PPT and like the open field fighting, yet when you’re facing even numbers, you get wiped or mostly run away. I saw it repeatedly tonight. So to quote Jack Nicholson “Go sell crazy somewhere else, we’re all stocked up here”.
Yup and I just saw Madonna perform Haka while standing in the middle of the sea singin something like “No Jimmies yet rustled, try harder try harder”.
Tee See
Ah, my bad. I linked the wrong item. Here, for example is one recipe you need for individual piece of armor:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Recipe:_Celestial_Draconic_Boots
You need to search for corresponding recipe on TP or end up lucky from Zephyr boxes which will let you craft these. Again, the celestial items are NOT discovery items, but rather require recipes to be unlocked for inscription/insignia and the final item (armor piece/weapon).
Tee See
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Recipe:_Celestial_Orichalcum_Imbued_Inscription
This is what you want. As of now, two ways to get it:
- Trade any Zephyr Fortune scraps you have left for Zephyr boxes from Black Lion Weapon trader in LA and open these boxes for recipes (RNG based)
- Buy them off TP.

While transmuting, there are usually 3 sections that you get to choose for your end product -
1) Skin (topmost section) – which should be derived from the legendary
2) Base stats (mid-section) – weapon strength, stats, yadda yadda
3) Sigil
So while transmuting onto white item, top section should be Purple/derived from Legendary, mid-section should be from white item, and sigil is upto you if you want to keep it or you’ll lose it permanently. Haven’t tried the other way round i.e., choosing white item skin and legendary stats, since I’d have lost the legendary skin so I’m not really sure if splitter gives legendary back. But I’d say, just go ahead and try it. Would be awesome if it works, if not you could file a support ticket and get your legendary back and repeat the process in a proper way this time.

What’s with all the FA alt+f4 players? Had 12 of them thusfar tonight. Did they not read the patch notes when they fixed that as a means of getting out of jail free? Not a complaint, ’cause I get my loot anyways, just wondering…
Those are all my accounts on FA. Their sole purpose is to Alt + F4 during fights and give Fort AltF4wood (a name from good ol’ T3 TC/FA/CD matchups) a bad name. Grats on the bags, you can pay me back later. Thanks in advance.
So… you’re stalking me? O.o

Btw thanks to the Bunker Charr warrior from DB with whom I had the honor of dueling on my Guardian for a good 5 mins or so on reset night on DBBL, by the lake behind SE tower. We both knew it wasn’t ever gonna end. It was impromptu, and it was awesome.

If the recipe of the end item to be crafted is already discovered, you won’t find the inscription under discovery tab. Instead you can directly craft it if you have all required components from craft tab (with the hammer icon) from the list. Discovery is only for those items where you don’t have/need recipe but need to discover (like potions etc).
All celestial gear are crafted from recipes and thus can’t be discovered.
Actually it seems they didn’t reset discovery on potions.
I couldn’t do any discoveries to level my Artificer. All the potions that were discovered before the patch are still discovered.
Afaik, they have reset only exotic discovery recipes so you could level up crafting by rediscovering. At 400, all potions are of grey color and don’t give any XP if I’m not wrong so there won’t be any point in resetting those since players won’t benefit from rediscovering. I could be a bit wrong here though!

Changes to Legendary Weapons
- Legendary weapons now have increased stats to keep them in line with the new ascended weapons as “best in slot” items.
- Legendary weapons now have functionality to allow their inherent stat combo to be changed to any other stat combo when out of combat.

The resulting items from splitter remain soulbound so you aren’t really benefiting from it in terms of currency. So I don’t think it would be considered an exploit. If it becomes tradeable, yes it’d be an exploit. And people with legendaries get splitters for free (I got 2 for 2 legendaries) so initially gem store isn’t involved unless you’re doing multiple transmutes in which case you’re opting to do so.
Tee See
I know I posted this in a couple other threads but here’s how it goes:
Before there was Transmutation Splitter:
You’d transmute your legendary onto a white item, which makes it account bound thus allowing you to transfer it to an alt. But it becomes Transmuted instead of Legendary. Then you’d transmute it onto some exotic weapon with stats of your choice thus ending up with a transmuted weapon instead of a legendary, with exotic stats.
After Transmutation splitter is introduced:
Transmutation of legendary onto white and transferring to alt still works the same way. BUT you don’t have to transmute it onto exotic anymore. Use a splitter on the alt on which you want your legendary (splitter makes all split components soulbound so you have to use splitter on the alt that you want legendary on) and it returns:
Legendary (with legendary stats and everything) + white item used for transmutation + Sigil – all of these soulbound. And the stats on the Legendary returned can be perfectly switched when OOC, and infused etc since now it is no longer transmuted. It follows same rules as a freshly crafted Legendary.
I know, long wall of text but hope it’s helpful for you guys out there. And yes, I’ve tried it 3 times with 2 of my legendaries and works perfectly as explained above.
Tee See
Did you spend your 500 tokens on the Gift of Thorns from the dungeon vendor (at Fort Marriner in LA)? The crafting recipe accepts the gift, not the tokens used to buy the gift.
Basically what’s said here.
What you have are Deadly blooms or Tokens. As shown in the recipe, what you need is one Offering of Thorns that you get from the corresponding dungeon vendor in LA for 500 deadly blooms/tokens.

Good fights with SoS at Durios and Mendons tonight, and of course, the crazy fight with TW inside SMC.
Also, earlier in SoS BL, this was taken. Can anyone on SoR tell me how many? I estimated 50ish
It’s very clear that it was just 12.
Tee See
Didn’t Teq kill our mentor in my story. As far as personal vendettas go it probably should be most hated dragon among the player population. Is this part of lore for Teq?
No it didn’t.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Blightghast_the_Plaguebringer
It was Blightghast who attacked Claw Island and caused your mentor to die in the process. Although they both use similar models, Tequatl is an open world Champion of Zhaitan and doesn’t show up anywhere in your personal story.
Tee See
That really shouldn’t be an issue. But from my observation, it seems to give baack the legendary and the item onto which it was last transmuted, which was in my case Invader’s staff since I didn’t want the original white item stats and since you only transmuted it onto a white item it gave you the white item back.
TL;DR: Splitter breaks transmuted legendary into :- Original Legendary + Last item used for transmutation + any sigil that replaced the legendary’s sigil
Tee See
Yup. I did transmute Bifrost onto a white item to transfer it to an alt and then onto an exotic, and the splitter basically gave me back the original legendary, the transmuted exotic and the sigil. But the legendary remains soulbound to the character it is currently bound to.
Tee See
PYRO, stop sneaking into our Citadel. Hope you liked the roses :P
Tee See
You need to stop 5 invasions first (5 different invasions), so you get Vorpp’s field assistant achievement. After that you can get all 3 items as stated above. Maybe communicate with Vorpp once you get this achievement so your character knows how to proceed. I think this is automatically communicated to you by Vorpp, but talking to him might help.
Tee See
When the event isn’t happening on one server, it’s happening on some other server on some other map. So practically there’s NO perfect time to launch a patch without screwing someone. I understand the pop-up message mere 3mins before patch is kinda bummer, but Colin confirmed that the invasion events are permanent. So, hey, you have time to repeat the event until GW3 comes out (and if achievements disappear after 4 weeks from now, you still have FOUR weeks to finish it).
Tee See
Queue the QQ.
To be honest, personally I’m not much bothered with the LS route. They’ve been enjoyable so far for me. Whatever content/achievements I didn’t find interesting or couldn’t finish I simply ignored them.
I’m yet to finish Gauntlet meta-achievement, and am glad that it’s separate from QJ meta. I doubt if I ever will finish it and that’s the best part from gameplay perspective – you can choose what you want to do and what you do not want to do.
From story perspective, I love the whole theorycrafting that I see on the forums and the anticipation on what the Queen is about to say, and who Scarlet is and what she’s gonna do at the Speech and how exactly are all the living stories going to be tied up, along with references to GW lore here and there, like Glint and Canthans and Elonians the Brotherhood – it’s interesting. The best part is not how the story is gonna end up when the patch hits, but how wild the speculation has been so far – with all kind of probable and weird theories.
Tee See
Report for trolling and move on folks! Nothing to see here.
Tee See
No, the problem with the OP is that he doesn’t understand what “full server” means.
A full server means that there are a max number of accounts housed on that particular server. It does not mean how many people are playing online at that moment. So just because certain times of day have less players online, the offline player data is still there. For example, if each server has a maximum of 100,000 player account slots, and it’s full, that means there are 100,000 accounts housed in that data center. Going further, if only 5,000 people are playing online, there are still another 95,000 offline account slots taken up.
If your server is popular, chances are that there are a lot of other players who are willing to pay Gems to transfer over. So now it becomes a game of cat and mouse. If someone just so happens to leave and open up an account slot, it’s first come first served to whoever wants in.
I really doubt if that’s the case. My server TC has reached full status quite faster every time server caps were increased, yet people who tried transferring at particular timeslots where the server had a little lower activity, actually made it. And this trend would continue almost everyday for some time. And many servers conduct organized blackouts to allow newer players or guilds to get in. So I think it has more to do with players online rather than the no. of players registered on that server.
Tee See
You should’ve reported them and moved on. Nobody cares about your credentials nor about your habits once you step into a “social game”. It’s called verbal “Abuse” for a reason. If the other person is personally offended by it, they have every right to report you. There’s no justifying your actions by saying the other person started it – doesn’t really fit with your descriptions of yourself being quite older; it only proves the opposite.
Tee See
Doesn’t matter it should JUST sensor it like it does on the forums. Not my fault anet didn’t do that.
The moment you “Accepted” the agreement while installing the game, it starts mattering. Doesn’t matter if you read it or not, or if you care or not.
Tee See
There’s a difference between saying stuff like “kitten it” and abusing someone personally as in “kitten you”. If you did the former, I doubt anyone would have reported you or if you’ve gotten suspended. Profanity filter is for the former cases where people aren’t personally bothered with such chats, yet would like to have it censored on their screen. It’s not a license for you to abuse some individual. You deserved the suspension if you did abuse someone.
I say “kitten It” many times – it doesn’t bother anyone. I’m not directing it at anyone so people wouldn’t report me nor would there be an action over it. That wouldn’t fall under “Abuse”. It’s generic frustration meaning no ill-will to any individual. I also say “kitten you” to a friend in PM’s with whom I regularly chat, but hey its my friend and he wouldn’t bother to report me as he returns it in kind, but had I said it to some stranger and got suspended for it, I’d accept it as it’s my fault.
Don’t blame Anet or those who reported you for you being a kitten.
Tee See
Nice to read about your experience during early access. I had similar feelings back when servers went online. I still love the game, for what it is – a game, something to take your mind off RL things and relax and at the same time to set some virtual goals if you’re more into that kind of stuff. It has its cons, major or minor (depends on personal opinion and how it affects one’s gameplay experience), but overall GW2 is the only game I spend my spare time on. I enjoy spending time on working towards the goals I set for each day. And if I’m confused as to what to do at any point of time, I just roll a new alt and start things fresh.
I’m equally excited to see what is in store for GW2’s and our first character’s birthdays!

Welcome to GW2 and enjoy the ride with the rest of this wonderful community!
