I think there are some significant bugs with the queue and number of players right now. We have folks in queue for EB but the people inside say there isn’t anyone there. Strange goings on.
I know its reset night, but the rankings according to http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA at the bottom of the page look hilarious. It looks so f’ed up. Lol.

I only know one fact that TC will fight hard, and fight strong, unless queues kitten with us again not letting anyone in, only to find 20-30 people.

I know there’ll be a dolyak parade some day; I know someone from FA will try to grief the party; I know how it will end; I know how the consequences will be regardless of how many Oceanics FA has gained. I wouldn’t care about anything else as long as there are crazy stuff like this to talk about for months to come

Good for them, maybe? I’ve never used TS or any other VoIP software apart from Skype for personal use, since I’ve never played MMO’s before.
Regarding your question, there are times when you try to enter a camp or something and all of a sudden this zerg appears infront of you. I’ve seen many run away, I prefer the opposite. Atleast I can delay them for a couple of seconds and report their movements before respawning.
Yea, me too. I’m sure NPC’s by camps or Tower lords etc count, but not sure about skritt or krait and stuff like those. I usually get my WvW kills on day 1 or 2 of the month so I don’t worry much about it.
WvW is more of PvE + PvP; so I guess it makes sense. However it isn’t that tough to get either. Sit on siege and kill zergs/ flip camps (even NPC’s out there count) or flip quaggans by killing krait or there’s a centaur camp with a DE attached to it where you can easily get 30 kills (not sure if it counts, but worth the try..atleast you get some free space away from zergs and some drops, karma and stuff like that :P)
Emoting is common on all servers honestly. There are always going to be
- people who like to cause grief to others
- people who are new to WvW/server and not aware of how core group works
- people who got emoted at in the past and emote back by killing the friends of the enemies that emoted at them previously
All we can do is just ignore them and laugh at them IRL.
I get laughed at a lot when I rush into a zerg solo to tell them that I ain’t scared of them, maybe they think I’m stupid to rush in instead of running away? I wouldn’t know.
As of now the only ascended gear available are amulets/rings and backpacks. Amulets and rings and infusions can be obtained from Laurels. More will be included in future, as per Anet, hopefully in the big Feb patch.
Nope it isn’t supposed to. Are you sure you have covered all the POI’s and Vista’s and skill challenges? I have done this in the past and have got my rewards. If you’re sure you finished everything in the map, perhaps submitting a bug report to Anet should help.
Edit: just saw your edited post. It has nothing to do with a wp being contested or anything as long as every POI/Vista/WP/Skill pt has been covered. Sounds like a bug to me, probably due to the new changes made to Orr maps. Maybe the rewards need the new WP’s unlocked as well but somehow doesn’t show in the map progress?
@Lanthrudar, I’ve already quoted Kerithlan’s post which “clearly” mentions why and when it happened. So yeah, we’re all aware of what else is to do in WvW apart from fighting. There’s a difference between something people “can’t do” and “won’t do”. What you’re saying is about people who are new to WvW and don’t know what to do at all. Trust me, Kerithlan has led lots of groups into flipping camps and such and if you’re a forum frequenter, you’d be aware that she is one of the best persons that gives the best and accurate analysis of scoreboard of the current matchup and its impact on future matchups as well. People who took part in that parade are regulars as well. They know what they were doing.
Neither I or anybody has any problem with Nordey’s “spirit” to fight enemies as it seems many of us have done it together to bring the server to where it is now. HOWEVER, despite being a non-RP’er, I take issue with him looking down upon those having fun for a brief moment. Also as I suggested, he could’ve hit a diff. map or hell, could ninja cap a tower or something by forming a small group. There’s absolutely no excuse for him to insult others for doing what they’re doing as long as they’re doing it as a team.
Do you realize that Nodrey did the same thing by looking down upon those who were just having fun for a brief time? Were we not fighting for the remaining day? Yea for those who look at it negatively it always will be “booo these guys gave up so they’re having some party”. If you look at it from the perspective of those who actually partied down there, it was a middle finger to spawn campers.
Many people in that “party” are regulars who have fought and still fight for TC (I see lots of PiNK guys in that pic, who are on of the top WvW guilds we have). A brief moment of fun doesn’t impact the fighting spirit nor does it mean anybody gave up. If Nodrey or You for that matter are so worried about fighting you guys could’ve done it regardless on a diff. map. I don’t see the need to look down on them either!? Yes TC is an RP server, I hardly RP, but I respect their sentiments. I don’t ask them to look for another server! I don’t understand what you mean by “there’s an entire server to RP”. THIS is that server. When you’re in WvW you’re not in a diff server FYI, it’s a different map that’s all. And a party =/= RP’ing.. Its just having fun for a short time, hoping for enemy to join it OR to give them the finger if they don’t.
Do you realize you just insulted all the RP’ers who also fight against the odds everyday and night on WvW while having fun? You say you don’t fight to win but to prove that we have the spirit. What do you think the rest of us are doing? Nodrey wrote “this is why we can’t have victories”.. do you realize it is an insult to the entire server and also to what you wrote about fighting regardless of what the result is?
I’ll have you know that we tried grabbing some people to take camps and get rolling before settling in with our fireworks and fancy cakes. It was more fun and more productive to have a picnic — it broke up the spawn camping at the very least.
Besides, complaining about TC holding a picnic is to lack a basic understanding of the server.
So yea, people have “tried” and done things they could’ve done as you’ve mentioned. It was later that it all happened. Don’t try to disregard what people do just because they take some time off to relax and have fun and eventually accomplish something by having fun.

Ok I’ve been pretty vocal here with regards to this issue in the past and just gave up ranting out of frustration. But after the 28th patch, I managed to get atleast 6 rares (total 5g) in 4 hrs. Possible that it is due to the widely running speculation that drops are good usually within hours after reset and then it starts to get worse. Maybe it is or it isn’t, not really sure. I didn’t get anything remarkable (rares) on 29th though, however many greens did drop.
Porous bones are still the trending drops along with Heavy moldy bags. Did Melandru event earlier and got 4 greens – no rares. Gotta do more Orr events later to comment on any possible significant changes made to loot. They mentioned that drops in Orr have been adjusted in the last patch – whether increased or decreased is still a mystery. I hope they use a more straight-forward language in the future than trolling us with such ambiguous wordings.
Posting threads regarding a server’s internal matters in here and trying to drag them into dirt fight… am sure you guys are ready for T1. I said one thing to a certain buddy of yours who spies on our forums now and then and trolls us. I’m sure he can pass the message to you. Too bad my post had to be deleted. Yea we had some internal issues which are quite common when tiers and environments change and new guilds move in. Not a big deal. We all can dig lots of dirt on each other.. I remember BG specifically mentioning YOU complaining all the time… so let’s not get into that. TC is above those dirt tactics. If that’s what it takes to be in T2, I’m better off in T4, or hell, T8. As I said again, you’re definitely ready for T1… good luck!

@Indo, we have fun where the fun is to be had – balanced fair fights for all 3 servers in a Tier. If it means we belong to T4/T5 so be it. We never had any T1 aspirations given the kind of server we are – we’re lighthearted guys overall who just want to have some fun with friends and have a good time while staying competitive.
We haven’t reached T2 due to any massive influx (and I’m definitely not pointing any server out there, merely speaking of my server). We started at lower tiers, and climbed all the way up learning new stuff, making new friends (even amongst our enemies!), facing some great opponents, and so on.
As long as that tradition continues, I don’t mind staying whatever Tier TC is in – since I know the friends I made here are to stay here and will fight regardless of the odds and ratings!
^ Honestly some of the posts just make me wonder if I’m in T3 all of a sudden, as a part of a certain arch rival server of ours!
I don’t think many of these were even in W3 or on TC when we faced BG/SoR during Orb era. This “spawn camping” is nothing compared to what happened back then. Most of us got tougher after being camped for not an hour, but days! So yeah…

The problem is with culling getting fixed, John Cena won’t be much use though, after 28th and Feb updates, he can’t say “You can’t see me” anymore. So anyone who doesn’t RP “Superman” Teletubby is fine with me.

I don’t understand why people are fighting over “concrete data”! It isn’t players’ job to do, it’s Anet’s job. And thousands of users posting here for the past 2 months aren’t idiots to keep on bringing their experiences already. People have shouted for one full month and then they come back asking for concrete data. Which map? Every map. Which mob? Every mob. A cave spider can drop a rare, rarely, and a champion risen priest can drop kitten if at all. There’s no consistency or anything to analyze. The drops are screwed…that’s been talked over – we don’t have to give our everyday experiences with numbers whereas Anet can detect Dye drops within hours and fix it.
@wildcode, excellent points, especially on dye drops thing. I guess this is only an attempt to further delay any actual response on this. Two more months will pass and then they’ll come back that things are running well as intended, so stop “perceiving” things.
Here’s a simple info any dev can look into and decide for themselves if drops are bugged or perceived as such. Claw of Jormag event – the whole event finishes, people loot the chest, head back to see the Champion Icebrood Goliath and 3 Veteran Icebrood mobs still roaming around. Around 10 people start killing the Champion mob including me, full of MF gear (silly me, bought another MF gear on TP and trinkets and kitten) – zero drop. I mean not even Glob of Globby kitten … nothing. Nobody got anything. 3 remaining vets – no drop. I only ever have gotten one rare out of Jormag chest even. Of all countless events I’ve done – only one rare.
I’ve started to wonder if I should buy a new a/c and farm on that and transfer to my main a/c via mail to see if my main a/c is “cursed”. But I’m also worried that the great intelligent system of GW2 would perceive me as a gold buyer/seller and ban both my accounts so in the end, I’d be kittened. I don’t see a reason to play anymore when I’ve 100% map on one char, 4 lvl 80’s and finding it boring and tough to level up remaining alts.
Pls give us atleast some ETA when it would be fixed so we can just quit the game now and return when you have a fix. Also, one original thread with so much data, then a merged thread with even more data and now this thread with 15 pages of data isn’t enough for you guys? So are you guys just branding your customers as fanbois who try to throw dirt on you and don’t trust us? You still need someone to test it intensively only to come back to us saying, “its only perceived nerf you fools, the game is working as intended”? So basically we’re being taken dump on. I’m sorry but after so many hours into game, so much money spent on gems to gold, and time spent into reading and replying here with info, we find being cheated! And I was told lots of great things about Anet from GW1 fan base.
We don’t want or care about Ascended gear when basic system isn’t working as it should be!
My problem is, if there’s some fix related to this in upcoming patches that Colin talked about, atleast pls acknowledge it so we can be at peace. The uncertainty and lack of communication is what’s bothering us more than lack of drops in-game. We paid for the product, and countless gems and stuff, we deserve to be heard and talked to!
And I can’t tell you how many times i’ve auto ran into a green camp, and can’t figure out why I can’t pick up supply or why the claimer is hitting me lol.
Much like the reset day of our first match in T2 against you guys. There were loud cheers on TCBL map chat that TC took SM, some of us went so emotional, looked at the screen and wondered why TC is showing as Team Red while SM looks Green. Then we all realized we just Derped big time :P and yeah many on EB actually thought of walking straight into Lowlands keep thinking it’s theirs.
@Indo, Kerithlan is just being a true “Men of Science” as per the guild name – by putting things in detailed perspective with facts & figures; just like [Choo] "choo"s and brings the Pain on the field.

And it was an honor that you actually liked the fight and talked to me to acknowledge that. Sorry that my friend had to get involved at the last moment by when I almost had you on low health. I guess that fight lasted for what, good 5-7mins (I’m not much into duels and never stayed alive that long)?

The point of doing it in PvP zone is that it becomes a challenge (traversing dangerous territory and all) and then people can have a fun fight afterwards. Honestly, I don’t care if you kill us. I never have. I expect people to kill us every time we have a parade. That is part of the fun.
Buuuut I suppose pretending you’re a battle hardened warrior in a fantasy world with magical weapons is such serious business and SO much higher brow than bovine flash parades. Excuse me for being light hearted and civil! Perhaps the only kind of discourse you’re capable of using and understanding as a surly warrior from the brawny school of the brave is the kind that starts with a kitten remark and ends with an air of superiority.

Honestly, the only thing I do these days is WvW, although I do want to explore and level up alts, I simply don’t find any use in it with the crappy drop rates. Did FoTM just a couple of times, nothing significant both times. I turn down any dungeon run request from guildies at times as it makes no sense with all the repair costs and stuff, while drops are kitten. Pls don’t tell me dungeons are fine, they are not. I don’t find any useful drops there other than normal tokens and greens. Only one exotic drop in my entire GW2 life. I want to play and enjoy and love the game – solo or with guildies. Pls give me a reason to do all that.
We [Thai] also will hold a WvW call out for all our guildies to attend WvW today (GMT+7 20.00) for practicing our tactic and stuff. Be prepare!, Oceanic SoR/TC

And yeah, regarding the event, while I am not a dueling guy really, but if this is gonna happen, I don’t mind sitting in the audience and cheer for winners irrespective of the team. Sure the yak event ended in a disaster, but it did bring lots of enemies together for a sweet good time. While the servers win/lose and move up in tiers or go down to the bottom, what remain in everyone’s memory are those special moments that people think are not possible. Although the DOLY (dolyak) guild was from CD, many from TC as well joined the guild and still represent it from time to time. The battles that stand out are not the one’s with most bloodbath, but those with enemies who have utmost respect to each other in the end.
For some Blackgate players:
I honestly do not know why Blackgate server want to ruin their reputation leave T2 with such a bad impression. It has been fun all along, fair play was there until Tarnish Coast joined T2. For some unknown reasons you are helping them out. I know this because I was there when IoJ was there and this never happened.
I do not know enough Tarnish Coast so maybe this is their tactics where ends justify the means but I do know that BG is better than this.
Hopefully you care enough to do the right thing, no more crowbars to the knee cap please.

Well we on TC have this gossip running around that SoR is helping out BG so they can leave the Tier, but well, rumors are just that, rumors, just like A**holes. Everyone has one.
My question this week is; will TC “play for first” aka stay in third forever or actually try to make a move and move up into 2nd this week? No shame trying to move yourself from third into 2nd place.
We’ll be playing for fun for sure, and bring our best on the field, even if its 1 vs 10 during our off-hours.
@Doomdesire, thanks for the kind words from SoR and you’re right about what’s causing imbalance in T2. I’m not blaming the winning party here at all, since its all good for them to have a better coverage. We could however use more numbers during Oceanic primetime to fill our coverage gaps and make the battles more fun. We do have a very few Oceanic/Asian players, myself included. However we’re most often outnumbered yet we try to bring our best onto the field with our pugs.
