Honestly, it seems like there’s still the opportunity for this game to have an attitude of sportsmanship. No need to have a CoD-style troll fest.
Well if you’re spotting treb-shots for your team or whatever, it is to help your team. You shouldn’t be offended by a few emotes if it is helping your team! Turn off emotes if they bother you or ask your team to send someone else to spot their shots. It isn’t trolling. I have been on both sides – emoting on corpses that don’t release and lying dead to spot for my team; it doesn’t bother me at all, as long as the purpose is served. As the guy that doesn’t want you down there helping your team destroy my toys, I’d do everything in my power to make sure you don’t do that job again; as a guy who’s helping his team, I wouldn’t care if you laugh/cry/dance on my corpse if I’m doing my job right. Get over it!

Here is the thing though: I logged in yesterday around 6pm pst and we had 65 ppt. well, of course we tried to ninja towers, get garri back and all that, but every time we would even touch a tower, a 45+ if not more zerg came to destroy us. We were around 15-20 people.Believe me, he was there and we kept trying for 2 hours + before I started getting frustrated.
8 people try to take bay gate down and gets steamrolled by almost 40 players. We finally get woodhaven back, the whole entire zerg runs there and doesn’t even need to keep up the rams, no they pvdoor!
The part that frustrated me is when I get steamrolled over and over by a giant zerg that outnumbers us clearly and then all you read in chat is laugh emotes. If the fights are somewhat more balanced like 20+ vs 30 the fight actually gets fun, but 1 giant blob vs a much much smaller number get frustrating after a few hours believe me!
I think, in EB, a couple of nights ago, we were siege-capped because our lovely spy has upgraded our inner lord room rams to catapults. So we had no choice but to PvDoor gates down or build golems.
Also, if I find my chatbox spammed up with emotes from an enemy group, I turn off emotes and just ignore it.
oh dear, i remember those times when we always had siege cap because a spy built tons of siege at hidden places. Really really low of people doing such stuff.I would not accuse u guys of only pvdooring.I used this as an example that has happened many times.

If we’re to Pvdoor, we wouldn’t be placing point blank trebs at the southern towers apart from the rams (on Sunday, I believe?, well it was just for lolz though :P), we also used around 7-8 ballistae once (a few weeks back) to take down a tower door, purely ballistae, which we could use offensively as well as defensively.

As for all the QQing about TC being too powerful… Even with this score, TC only wins 15 ranking at the moment.
If TC only wins 15 rankings at the end of each week, it would cost another 8 weeks of this to move to T2: TC needs 115 points to go there and no one looses more than 2 points in T2.
And the higher the score of TC, the less ranking TC gets for this point gap each week!
I know this is COMPLETELY off topic, but do any of you in FA or KN see if their Dawayna Temple is uncontested? It’s bugged in TC and I need the Rabid pieces to wubwub with!
last time i got my temple exotic accessories, i guested to TC because at the time it was not opened in Kaineng… to be honest i rarely see temple opened in Kaineng…. i know this because i mine orichalcum everyday so i pass through all these areas…. you probably should to try JQ for that….
Funny, the last time I needed my exotic gear for one of my alts, I guested to Kaineng where Dwayna temple was open.
^ The Hobbit was good, gets a bit slow in between. Otherwise its funny and sweet, ofcourse nothing like LOTR. Hopefully sequels will have more interesting stuff.

I was simply pointing out that the reason some of the TCers were kinda…blunt…on the forums earlier this week was probably partly due to that. I replied/quoted an FA guy who was talking about how this thread hasn’t been very enjoyable lately. :-/

The “support” from TC was for your NA primetime recruitment efforts while we’re looking for a few more able bodies during SEA primetime to throw a few more bodies to defend what we have, without pushing our NA primetime guys to put in extra hours. The other server many on TC also gave our “support” to was Yak’s Bend, when we didn’t even have another matchup with them, and when we didn’t even get any guilds transfer from them to us nor did we wish to. Only reason – we respected them as our opponents and wished to face them once again. But yeah, we’re very evil to do that as well. I’m pretty sure what I’m posting here will be turned and twisted as well and pretty much many others will fall for it – honestly I’m giving up on it, they’d still keep coming. Just thought I’d put things in the right perspective.
Please release the ridiculous idea that anyone in tier 2 will move up to tier 1 any time soon. No matter how well you did this week, there was never a chance that you would have gone to tier 1, so please don’t try to use that as an excuse or reason to not take first place.

I don’t know which server you’re on, but I’m pretty sure TC didn’t think it’d make it to T2 when it was in T3 either. Even after entering T2, we thought we were here only for a week or two, we were a T2.5 server – between T2 and T3.
Anything can happen; KN is your live example for that. Don’t discount possibilities based on prejudice and don’t outright insult a server based on what “you” think. And I don’t know what gave you the idea that FA (or for that matter any current T2 server in fact) would make it to T1 by just winning this or any week – you definitely don’t understand how glicko works.

Ya it looks like FA has mostly given up meh we could of came in first this week but i guess the want to be in T3 is stronger then the will to win. I guess good job to TC getting to T1 soon i hope that what you wanted.
I don’t see either FA move to T3 or TC moving to T1 any time sooner. Nor do I think either servers are willing to or playing to end up there. FA has pushed quite harder this week since reset, so much that FABL reminded me of Yak’s Bend BL back in T3 – highly impenetrable (where everyone was basically poking fun at FA that they don’t defend well). If anything, you must be proud of every single soul from FA that made it possible this week. I don’t think FA is in any danger of dropping tiers, and god forbid if it were to happen 2-3 weeks down the line, it would be similar to the vacation TC had in T3 around 3 weeks ago. They’d come back stronger. We all are destined to be here for weeks to come and gonna have fun while we’re at it.

Not sure if its honesty or sarcasm, but it is what it is. A few regular trolls from all sides post something stupid whenever they think they got a hot topic to troll about, and they go round in circles, thus making the thread look trollish, whereas the rest of us go on about our normal work of killing each other in-game and talking and laughing about it in here. Forum wars would be when all 3 servers go all “your mom is …” stuff. All I see here is a few handful of regular trolls that don’t post anything nice, going on and on about things nobody cares about. Most populated =/= most WvW populated. TC has more PvE population compared to WvW. We have nonstop Jormag and Maw announcement services on our WvW map chats and our commanders take their hog zergs to kill the dragons first as a warmup before hog-zerging over WvW maps.

Not really sure about that. I do get thrown into overflows when Jormy uncle pays a visit during NA primetime. Probably guest hogs? idk..but I guess that’s the problem almost every very highly populated server is facing. But otherwise I’m not really sure about overall population size.

Not really. We understand what you meant, well atleast I do. However it would be good for everyone if people understand that TC is merely repaying KN’s kindness with kindness. There’s no grand conspiracy scheme here or anything. We saw KN as a stronger server and didn’t bother to notice it’s weaker timeslot and I guess I could say we were also a little selfish with our own coverage issues. I personally was selfish that we might lose KN’s awesomeness to T1 (not that I don’t want you guys to succeed or make it to T1, but you guys are just too awesome to let you go anywhere :P) like how we lost BG so didn’t really bother with bumping that thread. This week KN’s weaker timeslot is more visible and we decided it’s the right thing to do to help in their effort so that (I know I’m exaggerating here) we won’t see them drop tiers.
KN is one of those servers that TC has been consistently facing in T2, for almost 2 months now and they’re definitely a class act and has earnt loads of respect from TC. Lots of great WvW guilds that don’t mind having fun when they have to. TC has learnt quite a lot in terms of strategy from them. I’m sure they could use some NA guilds to balance out T2, the most awesome tier to be in.
Hi peoples, I’m new to these wvw threads, but I’ve been a long time WvW player. I used to be in IoJ but almost everyone I knew left to FA so I’ve been there since the big move.
I’ve been following these for a few weeks and I don’t understand what all the hate is about : ( I get that rivals will be rivals and have the competitive spirit and all that, but why is there a certain group of people (from all three servers, not just one, TC seems to be the best though) that are always upset with some other guild/player from another server. I used to read them because I enjoyed seeing how our servers interacted with each other, but now it’s got too much drama and isn’t nearly as fun to read.
I know I’m just some random person you don’t know, but could you at least think about it? Every time you call people out like that you make your server look bad to anyone else reading it.
Hi Revans, welcome to forum wars 2 lol. Seriously though, welcome to the forums!
Let me give you some perspective as a regular on these forums. Things start out pretty well at the beginning of the first week together. Then someone poops their pants to see how it feels and to let the world know that they’re special. Someone retaliates by pooping on the carpet, someone else responds by pooping graffiti all over the walls and that’s when the poop hits the fan and flies beyond.
The thing is, it’s like Chicken/Egg mystery. Nobody knows who started it, but it’s pretty much similar. “Hate” is too strong of a word to have for your opponent in a virtual world. If it is real pure hate for some people, then they need some psychiatric help. I’m all fine with friendly competition. BG, TC and KN had it going for almost a month – 3 matchups under one thread with almost no infractions. So yeah, it’s all about all 3 opponents finding that common ground where they can all agree to have a civilized discussion. TC has learnt to speak up against our own trolls; I don’t see much of any trolling from KN; some of FA have started to shut their trolls. Once we all work on ourselves internally, things would eventually be perfectly fine.
Kaineng is falling pretty far behind at this point. I think the biggest reason is the latest WvW patch drawing people back in. Kaineng having formed together with a lot of “hardcore” WvW guilds didn’t see as many people come back, because they were still playing. TC on the other hand has a much, much larger PvE/casual crowd that seems to have come back to grind wxp and play now. And from seeing the large TC zergs and the level of organization they show, it’s no surprise that casual players want to come back and play with them every night now. As much as I hate their deathzergs of death, they’re some of the friendliest people I’ve seen in a PvP setting and their commanders really draw them together.
You guys could easily take the lead by end of the week if you guys wished to. From what I understand many of your guilds are on a vacation or are going to put less hours in WvW to recharge their batteries so you can always count on them to come back with a bang once they feel refreshed.
As far as TC goes, yeah we did manage to attract lot of PvE’ers with the new WvW features and are also training our militia in open-field combat. Even when we’re totally wiped, we’re making sure that our militia takes it as a lesson and learns on how to counter things. I’d really like to thank commanders like Jadon, Odinzu, Nightlight, etc for putting extra efforts into training casuals while also being some of the most awesome commanders that they really are.
No offense meant, but from an outsider POV, you guys are doing just great. If anything, most of your players are burnt out from endless hours they’ve put in for the past few weeks or should I say, months? They’ve done quite a lot to get a hardly known server to T2, which is almost a T1 contender now. Sure, huge population helps a lot and most of them were transfers. But honestly which server hasn’t gotten any transfers? I think most of them deserve some break – and no I’m not saying so we could get easy wins. I don’t want a repeat of T3 where nobody has much to do than wait for some fights. I wish they get as much of a break as I wish TC’ers get after the overnight hours some of our commanders have put in the last week to get us to win the matchup, just so we could say we did it, and if/when FA pushes as hard and wins a matchup, I’d wish the same for them. I wouldn’t say any of the three servers are done or dying, etc just because the reset wasn’t a blowout. Reset is never an indicator of final result, which is always observed to be true. Have faith in your server and your guilds and friends. We’re so closely matched right now that any server can be green next week and anybody can be red – all of that could change within hours before next reset. What else could you ask for, if not this kind of excitement?
Also wanted to mention that bashing AoN is really not going to accomplish anything except make them wipe your groups even harder.
I just rolled with them for a while this morning and was really impressed with their gameplay. They wont even let other FA groups roll with them just so they can find outnumbered fights. These are the types of players that FA loves to have around.
I don’t think anyone bashed AoN really. Just someone reminding a pot that it is as black as a kettle is. We also have AoN on our server forum once in a while making posts to organize small-scale fights, so I don’t think anybody has any ill-feelings for them infact the very same Theon admired their strategy and gameplay on our site – you’re free to ask Covenant. Stating simple facts is all it is, and he did it without using any derogatory or troll-worthy stuff.

This is really a nail-biting moment for TC.
However, FA definitely brought more pain this week. I’m sure once the Adventure Box mania fades off, they’ll bring even more in the weeks to follow. Great fights from all 3 servers this week.

Call it pride or self-respect or whatever; but I’d rather win a week because we fought for it and won, rather than the enemy deciding to try something new and lose purposefully. It wouldn’t be a victory for us, it’d be a big slap in our face in fact, and yeah all those “riding/sucking your whatever whatever” accusations from the 3rd server. And given the fact that it won’t change anything for the next week due to 13 rating gap between TC & KN at the moment, it won’t make sense. I’m sure most of TC can agree with me. I’d rather have us give our best against the toughest odds, and lose than have victory handed to us on a platter. Atleast we could smile that we did our best, than grab a easy-mode victory.
To whoever is planning to do anything similar to this (if there’s anything like this in plans)- please don’t embarass us as your opponents. Let’s not defeat the purpose of WvW.

Not required. There are tools certain classes have that can do considerable damage even with enemies of smaller groups. They can also constantly stealth themselves so that lazy scouts don’t even notice anything fishy. I don’t know why is it so difficult to run for a minute if a nearest waypoint is contested? It’s similar to people who just fall off a cliff or get ganked by someone and ask for a rez on chat – you just have to respawn and run back. How difficult can it be?
Have a scout at all structures to report any enemy movement. If it is used as a distraction, you’d know by asking your scout. If it is being a pain and delaying your movement across the map, well… your enemy did his job well.

With culling gone, we managed to get quite a number of our NA crew back including many new WvW’ers and are currently holding strong in T2 ending the last week with a mere 4k gap from 1st place. What we currently lack is the ability to field enough numbers during SEA/Oceanic primetime to give challenging fights to our opponents, and this is where you can make a lot of difference by being the part of TC; all while having the perfect fun in a way only TC can have, even just hours before the reset such as:
- 15+ Omega golems per each map wreaking havoc all over (with fireworks)
- Full naked zergs capping whole enemy maps
- Dolyak parades
- Stomping enemy zergs while in animal forms
- Princess dolls taking keeps
- Trivia quizzes to keep players from burn-out (yes, all during the fights).
- Most importantly the most stable and friendly environment while also staying competitive in the most balanced and fun tier.
I’d like to thank TC and KN for not even trying to hide the fact they aren’t interested in fighting each other in FABL. I am usually the first person to poo poo the conspiracy 2v1 theories but omfg this is silly.
Am sure you also saw a few reptilians amongst those KN and TC who later were dressed in black hoods to perform some ritual

Although being Green in the next week seems highly impossible for us with the 15-20 rating gap between TC & KN, whether we end this week on top (for the first time ever in T2) or would KN beat us before reset; or hell, the way FA fought back today makes me wonder what can happen in the next two days and who’s gonna end up where.
