Got Bolt on my guardian. Am at around 75% to forging my Bifrost, but still confused if I should get it for my guardian or my necro.
Personally I find Bolt to be awesome (although I hardly use it on WvW) due to the lightning effects surrounding the whole body of the character.
And my day has been going great, and hope yours is too.
Just wanted to say great fight last night in the very early morning for the SoS BL garrison to TC. Those superior arrow carts x5 were nasty. That 1 hour take was sure a great fight. Amazing coverage at that late at night. Keep up the great fights. Curious though, RE guild what is with the running in circles in EB with a larger group getting wiped by groups half your size. I must admit it is harder to collect bags while laughing, but has that strategy ever worked for you? Also is there a point to it that we are missing out on? Not trying to be mean but I was truly amused. =)

We play our game all the time with a large group of militia or just with our guild, we don’t care just about PPT, we care about being better WvW players every day. I hope you cringe when you see me on the field.
I watched the first 1:15 minutes of the video and had to stop. The maker of the video didn’t even target one enemy during the zerg v zerg at the beginning. In other words, all he/she did was run forward and spam skills, ignoring everything else. He couldn’t even care less what the enemy players were even doing because he didn’t even target one of them!
How is that possibly any fun whatsoever?
First of all, it is from the POV of a staff guardian. Staff itself is a AOE group control weapon for almost every class that wields it. That’s why it excels in ZvZ fights. And ZvZ fights are all about what enemy group is doing rather than what an individual is alone doing, group maneuvering and positioning. The guy in the video is also using lot of consecrations which are ground targeted (if traited, which most of consecration builds prefer), for which again you don’t need a target. As a well necro you don’t need a target, but if you run Corrupt boon, epidemic etc in your bar you need a target, so on. Targeting/no targeting depends on what build a player is running and what the situation is. CC/Conditions/Tankiness wins ZvZ fights; not targeting an individual, then hitting all your AoE in the wrong direction (Guardian Staff auto attack is AoE hit), and end up losing your DPS in thin air.
Not trying to teach you anything nor am I saying I’m better skilled or whatever (am a MMO noob) while I also don’t mean that you don’t know what you’re saying , but the guy in the video plays his class perfectly fine for a ZvZ fight.
They had a 2 months gap between the mining pick and harvesting sickle, if I’m not wrong, both with different flavors relating to the corresponding living stories. So my guess would be logging axe should be out in July living story update, if there’s one planned. Also note that Harvesting sickle is still available on TP. I think once the limited time offer is up, next unlimited tool will be made available.
Why not take it up with players in question in PM’s or talk to their guild leaders? What’s the point in painting whole server for something done to you personally by a few trolls?
I don’t think anyone from TC has ever posted on a forum daring two servers to get them below 200 PPT. I personally enjoyed that – nothing like seeing EP and Odinzu have a goal!
We didn’t specifically challenge anyone to push us below certain PPT coz we always knew our weaknesses and TC got used to going to single digit PPT many times, but once we did ask FA & CD to actually 2v1 us back in T3. But of course that was for a different reason that majority of TC was getting complacent after many easy wins and the tier started getting boring and we needed a spanking, just like when we were thrown around like ragdolls by BG and SoR when orbs were in effect. We wanted our backs against the wall. And well, FA and CD DID deliver a big-time spanking after that.
Return of the Toast is inevitable, and we WILL bring all our Wookie and Ewok friends with us.

Maybe most of them fell in love with Jar Jar Binks? You know, like “Yousa bombah 2v1 Wesa. Mesa thinks this unfair!”. That can do stuff to your mind. LOL after reading my post, I edited my edit and took that statement out – had some really good open field fights tonight. Flipping stuff was pretty hard without being able to toss down a ram or catas, though.

Ironically WvW seems a lot more enjoyable now that you don’t have arrows raining all over you while your breaking down a gate or in the tower/keep. I was initially for the AC’s but after how it got so painfully slow to the point you just ran around flipping camps for the most part.. it really wasn’t that fun anymore.
Now were getting far more World XP, gold, and Karma. I don’t really think anyone will argue against that one.

We’re having a small issue with our patch notes we are attempting to resolve currently. The Meta Event is not yet active on the island.
That makes no sense. How exactly do you have technical “issues” with a text file?
It does make sense. Nowhere did he mention “technical” issue but just a small issue – either the person responsible to post/edit notes being unavailable or being busy working on it or was having donuts while Robert was posting this.
If I have two enemies and one enemy has his house being burnt by the other enemy, I wouldn’t wait till the fires are put off, house is rebuilt and the second enemy vanishes. I’d make use of the situation and make sure the rest of the house and everything else of the guy who’s already suffering is wiped, and then move onto the other enemy. It’s called strategy, tactics, and everything else that is WAR. Or we could all just hold onto our own BL’s and our 3rd’s on EB and merrily dance around SMC holding our hands. No need to fight or defend.
All 3 servers at one point of time go through the “guy with the burning house” phase, and it’d be idiotic to cry about it, since that’s the point of having 3 worlds in a matchup and not just two. WvW is all about “being opportunistic, forming alliances, backbiting, etc”. You won’t see it or be bothered with it when you’re having a ride and are utterly dominating; when your enemies man up and push you to the extremes that is when everything seems as if people hold some personal grudge against you. Sometimes they might have something against you, sometimes they just go for easy vulnerable targets; sometimes they just stand there and cheer for the other enemy or help them take down your walls and leave when they had enough fun harassing you while the other enemy caps your stuff. These are the dynamics that make WvWvW fun and frustrating at the same time. Whining about it after 8 months of the game sounds nomadic.
Well, ANet didn’t really want us in TC bl, haha. Entire guild was disconnected from that map. Oh well! :P

looks like FA and TC like to work together agaist DB. No its not because we are in first place, it happens even when we are in second or third. of course its not the entire server but I wonder if some guilds from FA and TC are using the same ts to plan atks in DB.
When TC get SM FA almost never atk them, even knowing that is hard for them defend their land and SM. when DB has SM FA and TC will atk SM and our 1/3 of the map
It’d be wonderful if Anet has an online API to show server status as well like many MMO’s seem to do. This way all you need to do is press F5 on a webpage rather than restarting the client which is a tedious job. Please look into this Anet.

Sorry for the needed clarification……TC(some benefactor) did offer to “assist” with our move, a nice healthy amount. WE turned it down. (I personally glad we did.)
As I stated in another post we were looking for various things in a server and found what we wanted/needed on FA, so we farmed our own gold and moved over 30+ players over to FA and have enjoyed each day here thus far.

I’m sure by now that many of you ladies and gentlemen have access to our forums. I don’t mind that FA gets transfers, they need it badly. I said it on TC forums and I said it here. I don’t mind in this case with TVB either. But the fact is – TVB came to TC repeatedly asking for gold while we were clearly hesitant to “pay gold” but were willing to “help farm gold with you”, as evident in the thread rather than US approaching YOU and YOU turning it down. I’m not saying there’s anything WRONG with asking for funding, but denying it or publicly taking a higher moral ground while trying to insult TC whereas the facts are something entirely different is disgusting. Atleast the other TVB person above you didn’t say what you said.
So, a couple (two people) looking to play with friends on another server is the same as guilds of over 300 members transferring? Ooookay, maybe!?

I think that DB is purposefully lowering their rating because they think they can eat up some easy points on two “fattened pigs” later on when they get whatever guilds they are currently farming for.

To the NNK thief I fought inside your garrison after we capped it – that was one of the longest solo fights I ever had (especially against thieves; I always die to them ). I guess it went on for around a good 10-15mins. Our commanders moved to a different objective and I guess your guys were knocking on the doors but I just wanted to finish it off one way or another. Shame it had to end when someone else ran in and killed you (but I already got you to 5% HP by then :P), but yeah I thought you deserved a bow. It was a great duel! Cheers!

Yeah I actually edited my post because half of it was me pointing out that you don’t need to post score updates anymore because DB cannot win. Congratulations are in order for sure, but at this point posting score updates is like rubbing salt in the wound. By my crash calculations, DB would have to tick close to 550 for the rest of the match to win.
I’m really fond of T2…TC is insanely strong through the week!

I’m biased of course so take this with a grain of salt, but during the hours I usually play I don’t really feel threatened too much by the TC zerg. You guys play a great PPT game, but your tactical execution is middling. We apparently lost it eventually anyway, but by the time I logged out last night I had gained like three ranks, a few hundred badges, and filled my bags two or three times against TC zergs trying to rush in our home keep on EB. Honestly I think the best tactical guild in the tier is probably BT on Fort Aspenwood, but I don’t really think FA has the coverage to be consistently competitive here. If TC were to turn a corner with her tactical metagame, she could be ridiculously powerful.
It’s against my philosophy to brag and I never did it before but, I gained 5 ranks, over 800 kills, around 250 badges and made 5g – all in 5hrs of wiping DB repeatedly right outside their keep, inside Aldon’s lord’s room, in open field and in every corner of EB. So yeah, I didn’t know that a good tactical decision = loot bags and ranks and badges. I might throw my body 100 times at your zergs purposefully to keep you occupied at a certain place so that another team paints the rest of your BL red.

Pls enlighten how YOU are sure that the other side has the same map queued? Or did you mean something entirely different?
When we see a group of 100+ players in one spot on the map, we assume it is a full queue. I take it by the posts around here that the assumption is quite accurate.
Honestly, let’s give it time to see how things play out. But I personally think FA (instead of DB) could use more SEA coverage at the moment to make the tier a bit balanced because they have next to no SEA presence.

Was having fun as a quaggan on FA BL except for the BT that killed me anways, Score Update!! Didn’t think it possible to take Hills as a quaggan but I’d like to thank many people who helped me my parents, my teachers, and many more who inspired me through out the hard times in my life. . . .and I’m rambling again aren’t I?

For the last two weeks I’ve done everything that has nothing to do with WvW – visiting maps I’ve never visited, loads of nodes farming, regularly showing up for every mega boss event, hell I managed to atlast finish my personal story on one alt out of 11 alts! The idea of doing a whole dungeon full of undead always sickened me. Saved up enough gold to get a certain precursor off TP. I feel fresh and satisfied after reaching that milestone. It’s good to take a break from anything routine and come back fresh with a renewed energy. Now WvW feels more fun!

Last reset, FA brought 60 people with 7 golems to T3 Hills keep on FABL and flipped it within 3mins. Our people (whatever amt of them were awake) couldn’t even use WP before we lost it. There were only two defenders in that keep at that time including me. I felt helpless, but I also realize the fact that when one side is sleeping, someone else would be awake and in force. It’s the nature of the game. Maybe next time you guys message whoever you find in that keep and verify if there are enough people inside and THEN try to cap it? Things are fine when it’s done by your side, but when the opposing side does the same frigging thing, people go bonkers over it. Anet said it’s legit, so stop singing a 6-month old song. This is T2 for crying out loud.
errr… did a “Kick from server” option upon a player’s selection magically appear out of nowhere in-game? Honestly, not sure what’s the point in posting all these hackusations on forums when nobody can do anything.
