Since the headstart event, I didn’t ever come across this problem of someone else stealing my loot. I tried to look at it from the perspective of “quest related drops” unique to particular quests, but OP said he didn’t even touch the mob yet stole it. Even quest related items don’t drop that way, unless OP is in a party and just tagged it with AoE. No way can you steal another player’s loot in this game.
All they see is “<server name> invader beckons”. So unfortunately, nope they can’t see custom emotes. Would be nice if they could. People do all silly emotes while camping a mesmer’s body in a keep :P
I know people had Final Rest for a while now, and I bought it off TP earlier for my necro, since my luck with exotic drops used to be real real real bad (only one drop ever when I bought it). But last night I did SB event and when I opened the chest I couldn’t help but ping it on chat (which I never do). I guess it’s just the feeling of finding something unique (even though it isn’t really unique atm but THAT was totally unexpected) and an exotic one at that. I didn’t want to sell it but keep for myself so I can just look at it and smile occasionally :P, but I’m going for Bifrost so every penny counts so I can get precursor off TP eventually. (Here’s hoping I get my precursor as a lucky drop as well :P)

lmao. But seriously, something wrong with the way EB map is handled. Most of the times I don’t have same level of lag on BL’s that I have on EB, even during some of the biggest zerg fights. I think rendering the castle is the issue? idk. Gives me the bad memories of a certain one-time event done in LA… shudders!

I was guesting on KN last night SEA to do Balthazar temple event with KOR. There were like 4-5 KOR tags in there. I got to help revive some KN, got my shards, waved at commander Jksaber (hope I got it right?) and vanished back into the Toastland. Was nice!
And in less than 24 hours it’ll be 2-14! Whooo suck it TC!
Kidding of course =) I dunno if a second place over TC even counts, so really we could still be at 0 lol.
But you know what… arrow carts will still be OPsauce in 24 hours.

But yeah, congrats to DB and FA. Regardless of the result, it was refreshing to see some great action over the weekend after two weeks of easy wins.
I know we’ve gotten a bit complacent over the past few weeks when KN started fading and this week our defenses (which was once a thing we used to be proud of) has been slightly slacking. We never underestimated DB as an opponent, the last time we played against them during our one-week sting in T3 they handed our kitten to us during SEA time even though we won the match due to their lacking NA coverage and Maguumba being Maguumba :P . And now with their major coverage hole being filled, especially with T1 guilds we’re seeing some new tactics being used, new strategies being implemented so we’re gonna take time to adjust to it. Along with that I guess there are some exams in US (I’m from SEA so am not sure), but a lot of regulars haven’t showed up this week and it only gotten worse after the new dungeon.
So we’re more or less trying to take it a bit easy on ourselves, trying to adapt to new patch stuff, new opponent, new strategies and everything else that’s new (so many new things in one week —> system overload). Hopefully for the next matchup TC can bring some challenge your way. Those who are still showing up and fighting the good fight on TC, regardless of the score, you guys are awesome. <3

A minor buff to AC might have been ok, but this is ridiculous honestly. If you’re not on siege you cannot help but feel useless as a player. Before you could throw down your CC and stuff, AC’s on the outside can easily take you down (with heavy toughness build and 3 levels into Siege bunker – not sure what’s their purpose now). Siege wars would’ve been fun when both defense and offense teams had equal level of fun. Now it’s just stupid.
The reason they got so strong is they got buffed. Then add the new WvW skill to it. If they didn’t buff it alone it would probably be ok.
Yea I am aware of that and was a bit excited when I read the patch notes from defense perspective, however reality seems to be a lot more different that it is pointless to use any player skills when both teams can AC each other out. Sure even I specced into AC (level 1 only after spending the rest on siege bunker), but I don’t see the point of double-buffs to it. Siege must act as a support to players, not other way round. Earlier you had AC’s keep enemies in check, while the rest of your team would flank the enemy and wipe them. There’s strategy involved in there. Now it’s similar to killing rabbits and chicken – pointless and boring.
It’s definitely not the worst change or game-breaking, but makes fights a lot boring.

Great fights tonight on FABL. Thanks to everyone who came out, Agg, Tsi and Dis. I gotta ask though, what was up with the fast building on the Omega Golem inside the SE tower TC? You let us get the gate down, then let us take then high ground, then built an omega while we took down the lord. I think it is safe to say, we were all very confused. Particularly after we downed the golem just outside the gate. Anyhow, thanks for the fun times, keep that kind of thing up and I will rush home early from work everyday to make sure I can make our campaign time.

I don’t think build sites attribute to siege cap. Only finished siege counts afaik. Also it would despawn any time or get destroyed by enemies anyway. Sabotage siege inside towers and keeps is the actual problem in WvW. Nothing you can do about it as of now

I wasn’t there when this happened, but I saw a few from our server bug through it as well, I guess it’s been happening since last patch. That tower seems to have buggy doors. Hopefully Anet fixes it sooner, and thanks for coming on forums to clear it up.
Actually we were outnumbered all the time, maybe we were around 20; I guess it was somewhere near the end of the final push by DB, few more people just logged in but were standing by the spawn. When I ressed back I thought I don’t have to pay repair bills but I was surprised that my armor broke and wanted to yell at those extra few who logged in costing me the bills :P. Good fights regardless. You went overboard with those catas and ballistae during your… 4th or 5th push? :P

The thread starts well, then someone talks crap, someone responds, poop flies all over, someone diverts the topic, everyone becomes nice, some random guy wakes up to respond to a 2-day old post and the poop defies gravity again. Then the thread gets locked and a new one starts.

Atleast you won’t be getting random party invites from us to hear trakittenalk like Mags do. A couple of days ago I got a party invite from a FA group. I said hi and had to leave due to obvious reasons to not let them spot us :P, but I spoke to them in PM’s. It was a nice conversation though, so am glad I’m atleast not in a tier with the Goons despite all the forum trakittenalk.
I don’t understand the argument “if you don’t want to play with others, stay away from MMO’s”. Nobody here is saying that the dungeons shouldn’t be there nor is anyone against group play. The finale of a story arc (which has been solo content all the time) cannot be a group activity. Keep those separate. Let a player play his own story, not share it with others. I don’t think it is that difficult to grasp/comprehend. Sure bring a new dungeon with every new update, but keep it separate from the main story being told.

But it can’t end without doing Arah story mode, which is a group activity. Why is personal story all of a sudden a group’s story? Also a lot of people face difficulty finding groups for certain dungeons, even though they are willing to play with groups. Isn’t it preventing them from playing a certain content they wish to play? If there was an option to play them solo, with scaling, they’d atleast be able to do it when they’re not able to find a group.

I get what you’re saying. But the basic personal story shouldn’t be depending on a 2nd person, let alone 3 more. Sure, keep optional dungeons group-oriented. If I want the dungeon gear or tokens for legendary, I’ll have no option but to do them with groups and I have no problem with that. But don’t make grouping mandatory for personal stories; or in this case, living story, which is a concept they’re planning to adopt to future content. The concept is fine IMO, but why ruin it by forcing a dungeon in it which requires a 5-man party?
No, I am denying that dungeons are always such an awesome experience for everyone and that everything is oh so awesome as a group. What would it take away from you if the dungeon would scale down so it could be soloed? Or is it, that most people would run solo if they are not forced.
I do not mind 5 people dungeons in a game, but I am very disappointed it is supposed to be the end of the living story, because that is cutting me off from that experience.

LFG – F&F, speedrun, 80+ only, no noobs – when this appears for the first time, tell me how much people cooperate and how awesomely they communicate.
So because a small group of people are elitists and don’t do stuff for the sake of doing it but only for rewards they should remove all grouping? Or am I misunderstanding you?
We already see these kind of LFGs for the other dungeons, and yet it is still very possible to get a normal laid back group as well. Why would this be any different?
Nobody is asking for grouping to be removed. I play with groups, and I also prefer to play solo. Just don’t force me to play a certain way. Scaling should happen with the party size, much like how DE’s are scaled. That will prevent frustrations amongst all kinds of players – newbies and hardcore players alike, so that one doesn’t hinder others’ experience.

Alright then. I’ll say it right now:
Guild Wars 2 is a MMO. Assuming you will be able to solo every single thing they add is extremely naive and will most likely never be the case.
So, now you can skip everything for the chance that there will be group content is very high.
If GW2 is just another MMO, how different is it from rest of the MMO’s. This game was advertised and mostly designed with casuals in mind. Sure, dungeons are designed for more hardcore players and have nothing to do with the main branch of your story (optional).
a) Finishing your personal story – how is that optional? Why should it be a dungeon where I’m sharing my personal story with 4 other people?
b) Living story – the story arcs so far were told in instances, which could be solo’d. I did them solo, because they’re designed that way and I can’t be LFG’ing forever only to hear crap from elitists. Now why all of a sudden should I be forced to share the end of the story that I’ve been going through alone all while long, with four others?
Well we keep on reminding people to go through proper channels like asking for guild to contact them, or report to Anet. But you know how it goes, every day a new poster is born and it’s difficult to bring them on board with “forum etiquette”.

To me him being a troll and all that does as little damage to FA’s rep as it does to [PiNK]’s because he was in an obvious troll guild.
It only damages FA’s reputation because of prejudicial bias by the reader and witness. I have never heard of any [pink] guild nor seen any running around. This is the first time hearing about it. Notice that it wasn’t even an FA person confusing the guild for [PiNK] on TC? Some unknown individual from an unknown guild that no one associates regularly with Fort Aspenwood can never objectively be representative of an entire server’s reputation.
It would be much appreciated if people refrained from further generalizations about an entire server just because of one unknown. The troll-free course of action is to take a screenshot, report it to the Anet exploits address, and ask for someone from the [pink] guild to contact you.

I’m a bit annoyed at the KN recruitment that’s going on in this thread. It’s disrespectful.
Actually I agree with this. Except for CO nobody publicly mentioned that they’re willing to move on or are looking for a server. If they want to, they’ll announce it; until then maybe not spread rumors and cause panic among their server? I mean, as things stand now the only thing that can happen is they’ll stay on T3 unless they dominate it and bounce back up, thus moving between T2 and T3 for weeks to come.
@Usagi.4835 @ sab (whatever the number was): So when is FA gonna man-up and report their thief from Pink that is using exploits. Don’t say he is not he was just on our keep walls a little while ago.

I would say that, in general, just cause someone is inside your keep that you own…doesn’t 100% mean they are hacking, could just be very skilled at hiding, espec thieves or mesmers. If he is using exploits…long as ANET hasn’t called it off limits there’s sadly little that can be done except when you report they’ll say they’ll foward it to their bug department or something silly like that. I would say that…PiNK doesn’t condone the use of hacking or real exploits at all, we prefer to win the real way so…in the future if you see a guy with the PiNK tag in TC who’s hacking or something…take a screenie, send it to one of us PiNK that post on the forum, we’ll foward it on, kitten will be kicked if its a [pink] tag, sorry…but not us, there’s a few imposter guilds out there
The game allows multiple guilds with same tag, so there’s nothing like imposter guilds unless they’re using same/similar guild name :P. afaik this is [pink] and he’s contesting TC’s keep on EB, so obviously nothing to do with TC’s PiNK. Anyway, just report him and move on people. Anet will definitely ban him by the BWE1 of GW3.
We have also helped FA tremendously with our transfers, they now have more fights to pursue in the open field.
So we did ourselves and FA a huge favor.
And more lootbags, you know, with us all going 11111611111611111…

Really just curious here though, why do you think FA had superior coverage prior to the remaining CD guilds moving to TC? I mean, Kaineng had the best Oceanic/SEA coverage by far, balancing out that timezone. Nobody except TC has any EU (early morning NA) coverage.
But you guys still have the better oceanic/sea guilds than TC, you saying it was our EU guilds that made the difference?
I don’t know why all the whining about anybody wanting to play as they want. I care about PPT, you care about your lootbags and your leetist videos. I get my PPT, you get your lootbags and videos. There’s nothing for anyone in either of those. Nothing for those who win a matchup and sit at #1; nor there is any incentive for those who collect all those badges and make those videos. People will forget in a week and move onto the next big thing. I don’t see the reason for so much whining about everything any particular server does.
When he can’t jump them off of cliffs, he apparently likes to roam around the borderlands in them and pick random towers to try to beat on. Sadly, in many cases, we already hold said tower.
You see, here’s the thing: I don’t get to play the whole day. I work for 10 hours a day then I go home and get to play for maybe 5 hrs max during SEA primetime. These forums and discussions are the only thing I got to keep up with what’s happening. And I’m sure there are more like me. So try to keep these threads worth reading and visiting. Don’t throw your poop all over the place, and this is for everyone from every server.

To the guy who just bumped our recruitment thread just now, thanks for the help. We really stopped it after we got the little SEA coverage we needed, but you took your time to actually bring it alive so thanks for your support.
Really I was just trying to point out that not all of TC is nice, friendly, etc that they claim to be. They do recruit from servers in their tier actively and will strip a server of their guilds if given the chance.
How is recruiting actively, any pointer of a guild or server being nice or not? DB has its own WTB coverage threads, FA has its own, BG has its own, KN has its own..
Every single server and their grandma has their own WTB coverage threads, so don’t BS here. The thread from which you only selectively bothered to post the initial post has all the facts and how TC feels about it. The guilds in question were approached, and facts about TC were put on the table. Its upto them to make the decision. I don’t see how is it stripping a server? I don’t see how an entire server of TC respecting guilds from DB that stayed and looking forward to have them back in T2 to face them if they make it to T2, is “stripping a server”?

It doesn’t make any sense for someone from any server to post a request to initiate a discussion on transferring and not responding at all for 5 days. And from the post, since it seems that guy thinks TC is aiming for T1, he definitely isn’t on TC since the general opinion of the majority on TC is to not hit T1 at the moment. Maybe months later, if we ever are gonna make it. But I can’t really blame him if that’s what other servers think what TC wants, and if he is on any of those other servers. Our forums are not a secret since we have FA and KN guys posting on our site now, they can see our feelings on “getting into T1” for themselves. I’m too lazy to search for the thread where we talked in detail about it, but if you’re so worried pls feel free to browse through for yourself.

Literally, every WvW guild on DB was approached to transfer to TC after this thread was shown to us by a friend on TC. Obviously, DB is loyal to our server and will not transfer regardless of what we are offered. I think I will go back to my own thread though enjoy the impression you have made of your server TC.
