I drop kitten food all the time, mostly birthday cakes…… the most amusing part of it is, dropping a tonne of em in a zerg v zerg fight then watching ally and enemy eat em all up in a desperate struggle to loot before they die.
It’s almost as amusing as dropping siege on a dead/downed enemy driver and watching his allies spam all their abilities to clear that siege before they rez.
Throwing rams on your own backlines is funny… people assume ARROWCART MUST BUILD, but no, just a ram….
Blowing up bridges in EotM.
Spectral walking off cliffs as commander (fixed).
Running 3-5 laps of SM before the zerg questions your motives.
I’m a little curious though why you think action needs to be taken against a person for trolling around, the purpose of doing such things is to get a laugh out of the people who mindlessly run around spamming F…. I never see roamers fall for this sorta stuff, but zerglings jump on it like fly to kitten. I could be wrong, but perhaps pay a little more attention when you’re in a PvP zone? Everything I listed wouldn’t work or be as funny if people paid more attention to what they we’re doing.

90% of the armor including the cultural armor clips. You can’t have hair below the neck or it clips.
True, but in this case, the leg of your char clipped through the skirt, in certain positions, which is why they made it far larger and more flared.
Unfortunately, this “fix” has completely changed the proportions of the outfit.
Hope they fix this too.
With respect, you’re missing the point.
No, not missing the point at all, Anet are releasing buggy outfits and I spent 800 gems on a buggy outfit that I would appreciate fixed… If it was a skin where I could get rid of that part and be selective with armor pieces I wouldn’t mind as much, but this is an outfit.
The point is the same, the severity scale is what’s different.

If you’re fixing bad skin designs, please fix Imperial female Norn when using a greatsword… the collar part of the design goes into the face and glitches the face a little.
I strongly agree with 2. WvW Legendary gear and skins. Let us use our badges and ranks to earn Legendary gear and unique skins that can ONLY be earned through accumulated badges.
Since they removed WvW from map completion due to many PvE players complaining they were being forced to play a game mode they did not enjoy to make their legendary, I feel that WvW players should have access to buying legendaries through WvW map completion + badges + ectos and WXP rank. I also feel there should be a reward track that could take maybe 3-6 months to complete in PvP for legendary weapons.
With those options, Legendary weapons would be available to all players equally and not just those who enjoy/tolerate PvE.
I was about to buy gems so I could buy siege and foods for WvW, soooooooooooo thankful I read patch notes first.
If my company put out this level of bugs to our customers , we would not be in business for long.
Whats the name of your gaming company and which MMO type games have you guys developed? Would love to read some reviews and maybe try a new MMO out.
He doesn’t have to be a game producer to have bugs in software, an old job I had was in transportation using real time tracking devices to relay every bit of information back to it’s employees such as speeds they did that day, how long they parked at certain locations, how heavy the truck should be with x amount of y valuables/deliveries left.
1 fault, customers would ring and let us know, instantly we would have to drop current projects to get the devices up and running 100% again as they had paid for a product to be 100%, if we could not deliver a solution then a refund or referral to a sister company was the next step depending on customer.

Thanks for the answers everyone!
(have tried my own group but I got kicked because I didn’t have story unlocked)
But will for sure try after reset from now on when it’s not a work day lol
About the kick part you just let someone else go into the dungeon first then join in.
If you advertise for explore and then go and open story ofcourse people are going to kick you.
It wasn’t like that, no one in the party could open it and I was kicked lol but since then I’ve decided against dungeons now…
I was running phallanx war and was kicked for refusing to use double banner in TA cause I wanted “shake it off” instead…. Then I Finally joined a fractal and said “just letting you know im lvl 1 if anyone can show me what to do”… Kicked….
The only group I managed to complete a dungeon run with was an elitist group, luckily everyone was yelling at the thief for “not doing his job poperly” and also the ele was getting roughed up a bit for not dropping Ice bows, they argued that much after the spider chick up/up path that I was able to sit and wait for them at the next boss and have a smoke before they even bothered to try and get there.
Thanks again though to everyone, but PvE is not the most fun place to be.
Agreed… I want more “prostitution” clothing options for female heavy….
After all, the camera is behind my character
I’m trying dungeons for the first time in 2-3 years… I did 2 before I got bored again.
PvP aspect of the game is currently a mess with certain classes having bugged bursts.
If you guys don’t mind a complete scrub who wants to learn dungeons then hit me up
(3 yrs and still level 1 fractal)
I use earth/water/fire now.
prepatch I was running 56021 zerk/valk/knights

I need help with builds for dungeon runs, I exclusively play WvW/PvP but recent changes to certain classes + bugs (looks at engie) have not made that an enjoyable environment to be in.
Was hoping someone knew what classes would be most valued and what builds are most effective?
This is the warrior build I thought was ok but people were questioning my build in TA last night, mostly the trooper runes was pointed out.

Well…it’s not surprising at all that a game she doesn’t play is confusing to her.
This would really be the same case for any MMO out there.
May be true, I have a friend who I tried to get into GW2 but he has the same problem as OP…. He’s the biggest gamer I know too, even creates his own games and separate programs to overlay games he already owns.
If I remember correctly he said “The coding is faulty, the animations make zero kittening sense and the game looks like it was designed for primary school”…
I’ve tried showing him there is more to the game but unfortunately when I showed him PvP he made comments confirming the age group of the game by looking at play styles and various other “stand still and spam builds”… The only thing he thought GW2 had going for it was the thief mobility and playstyle
I almost exclusively only know nerds, and I’ve never once heard any of them try to say “the coding is faulty” with a game. I’d be curious to see what sort of grown-up games he plays.
I would definitely argue there are too many flashy AoEs, too much boon spam, too much condition spam, and the graphical effects don’t seem to match up with the affect abilities have on the game (huge damage in tiny animations, etc.). They give you the ability to dodge, but pack a lot of damage into instants for some classes, and as mentioned, those instants are often not super flashy, so a viewer has no idea what happened.
However, I think part of the problem is that from a spectator perspective, the game focuses you on said combat, and not on a larger strategy. Most often, a spectator sport will reel you in by allowing you to first understand a simple concept players are trying to achieve, such as:
- Get the ball into the other team’s goal, and keep the ball from going into yours (generalize “ball” and “goal”, and you have football, basketball, hockey, and soccer already)
- Destroy the enemy team’s throne before they destroy yours (most of the popular MOBAs)
- Wipe the enemy team/player off the map (round-based games, RTSes for the most part, though the RTS genre is sadly dying)
Conquest doesn’t really lend itself to a super easy explanation that you can watch from a distance. “Get to 500 points first” is abstract.
I do love conversations like this though.
In the fight he was watching I fell under the map twice using ride the lightning (pretty sure that’s what he meant by coding)
PvP map too.
Also I get what you’re saying about a spectator perspective, he would have had no clue what was going on, all he would have seen was me charging into a bunch of turrets while being spammed then watching me run off point again aahaha
Maybe he would have enjoyed the game or had a better opinion if I was a better player
Do that fancy letter thing….
Me for example is:
Knightrift
Knightrïft
Knïghtrift
Knïghtrïft
- Mesmer 3 – 80
- Guardian 3 – 80
- Necromancer 2 – 80
- Ranger 2 – 80
- Elementalist 2 – 80
- Warrior 1 – 80
- Thief 2 – 80
- Engineer 1 – 80
16 toons, 7k hours. WvW /PvP only.
Thanks for the answers everyone!

I’m OCX player, all I want is a full set of armor from TA but using the LFG I will sit there constantly checking for groups for nearly an hour to never see anyone doing TA…
Do people do this dungeon and if so, when?
Also it’s the same story with fractals… after 3 years I never fractal but I never see any level 1 groups I can join…
Ive been doin PvP and WvW nonstop in this game since release so if there is another way to join these groups can someone let me know?
This, Engie grenade bugs and other 1 shot builds has me logging off the moment I go against it, due to most players exploiting the crap out of it, im only logged on for about 5 minutes at a time.
If you are on T2 and like to roam, it could have been me…
My new ele build since patch has so far not lost a 1v1 against any class, it’s a complete cheese build…
The easiest classes to kill are: Engies, necros, thieves, guards, wars, mesmers.
Rangers still f me up from 2k range away and ele’s running similar builds is just a pure stalemate, no one goes below 90% health.
Try using a shaman/apoth perplex with doom and smoldering sigils, fire/water/earth cantrip build with passive cleansing fire + utility version – Your burst lies in the insta 13-15 stacks of burn mixed in with confusion and poison… This build is only good until they nerf burn into the ground tho. Ring of Fire alone is 6 stacks of burn on cast and after they chase you over the circle.
No, you often have like 5 from one team standing around waiting to fight one guy in addition to the guys afk at the keep, the ones using the crafting the guys standing around killing harpies and the guys running around looking for tree nodes.. What you wind up with then is 15 on pin fighting 40 from the other team. JQ has multiple guilds running on maps at once, not an “omniblob” like the other servers in our tier. What winds up happening when you have all the randoms come in is massively outbalanced fights due to roamers/ afkers.
There is nothing wrong in dueling or roaming. If anything, that’s probably a whole lot more worth while than blobbing up with you.
Trying to ruin the gameplay for people who don’t blob with you won’t get you any less AFK people.
Having AFK people in the keeps and spawns can be frustrating, but you won’t find the answer to that problem in a thread about dueling etiquette.
Having proper builds, parties and fighting equal numbers =\= blobbing, which in our case, we are usually not facing equal numbers, we are usually outnumbered. Cooperative team play =\= blobbing. We could actually hop maps on reset night, and you cannot do that when you have " map blobs." That is what it means to have large scale pvp. They already have a place for small scale pvp, and tbh it is better than dueling in wvw since the playing field is leveled and it is more skill based than gear unlike dueling in wvw. Why duel in wvw at all when we have PVP for dueling?
PvP is not for dueling LOL….
I’m just curious though, what entitlements do you have that makes you feel you can tell other players how to play WvW?
Last time I checked I played games for my own enjoyment and not yours, unless I’ve been mistaken for the last few years.
Did you play GW1? If you didn’t cooperate with your teammates you were blocked from the matches. The thing is in cooperative gameplay is you are not the only one on the team, just like any game or sport, you are expected to work with the others there or they don;t let you play. This should be no different. They had a system to deal with that in GW1, they should implement it in GW 2.
Last time I checked this was Guild Wars 2 mate, if you love GW1 so much then go and play it.
Also duelers don’t stay there all day, it may appear so because a roamer will see it, stop, get a few even fights in, then back off to be chased by your blob skills….
YOU as a person have no right to tell other people how to enjoy the game mode created by developers for them, if YOU have the problem, then YOU need to fix it or complain to the developers that other players are not playing the way YOU want them too…. It’s almost borderline selfish from what you would expect from an age group of 9-15 maybe
They have been bringing in quite a bit from GW1, hopefully they will bring back our tools from Gw1 as well, considering this is the sequel it would only make sense. However, yea it was " you" that determined who was playing the game right and who was not, and if they got enough votes from their team, they were blocked from matches for a bit..
Duelers are not the biggest complaint atm, like I said earlier it is due to design not a problem with actual duelers. However, they should not expect people not to kill them in a multi combat zone. Really Anet needs to give them an area for them to do so without being roadkill, but are set on not doing that atm. This is a design issue, not a problem with players who enjoy this play style.
Couldn’t this system be abused though?
I enjoy all areas of WvW but on a roaming day I sometimes have up-levels follow me, I usually port or abandon them at a sentry, with this system I would be allowed to just kick the up-level out for being a potential rally bot. There is nothing fair about that in the slightest.
Also any roamer/dueler already knows the complications of trying to stay alive in WvW, so many guild groups running around getting wiped by eachother they like to vent steam and chase roamers/duelers as far from ANZ to BRAVOST (happened to me today by a YB group, WCC I think it was). It’s frustrating that people kill us when they see us yes, but the frustration mostly stems from “using a 40 man to wipe a few duelers? really? Geeez” and not from the actual defeat/death.
I think it has been 2-3 years now duelers have asked access to dueling options, while we may have Obsidian Sanctum, during active hours it’s mostly used a GvG arena and we respect the players and let them have their fun, so we return to WvW, get a duel in and get rekt by a guild group/zerg/ rangers on walls/siege/ganksquads and so on.

Not all of us have the brain deficiency to be entertained by following the leader and smashing 1.

By adding Spock and Lizard.
I run a settler fire/water/earth burn ele.
Ring of fire + 2x Cleansing fires = everyone on point dead.
To me, it’s burn that is the problem, until they fix that, I will abuse it.
Duelers for the most part are great…
Being in T2 as a solo roamer I quite often come accross the duelers near SM or where ever and it’s good to just sit and watch from time to time, I don’t duel duel because of my perplexity, dueling is usually reserved for power only builds.
But Occasionally I’ll meet other solo roamers and after we fight, if it was a decent fight no one will get stomped, instead we let each other rez and go again, and again, and again until the 3rd server comes along and tries to gank but ends up getting rekt
Golems should be buffed but a limit of 3 per team per map or something.
Or get rid of them completely.
Celestial is the only thing the ele has. Nothing else is really viable for competitive play.
Try settler Burn Ele with Balth runes.
Fire/water/earth.
I thought the mortar kit was suppose to be our option for that long-range damage weapon.
Instead it’s become a crappy ranged support weapon with all of those combo fields. So basically a long-ranged elixir gun.
So instead of cutting the grenade’s range, basically nerfing it, can we instead find a way to nerf the elixir gun now and make the grenades what it used to be?
why does everyone want nerfs? I want more buffs!
Been awsome fun in WvW with the high damage outputs, more intense when the fights start
I was having a lot of fun as apoth/shaman ele before patch, even more fun now as my burns tick for 5.5k+ lol
Ive run a condi ele for a while now, way too hard to solo roam in t2 unless you’re a bunker with some sort of damage output.
Zerker A kills Zerker B, Zerker B demands Zerker A be nerfed for it.
As someone who used all 5 trait lines for traits and used gear to balance the stats I have to agree…
Build crafting was fun as there we’re limitless possibilities, 21614, 21641, 01661, but now im forced to use 666, required to use traits that don’t synergize well with eachother or my playstyle…
I do see what Anet are trying to Accomplish about more dominant roles for each class and more of a specialization feeling when selecting builds though.
yer not a fan of using 5 trait lines then being forced to use only 3…
Felt it on all 3 of my mediguards running 21614 variants for the last year o so
My girlfriend wants to know why is there no hermaphrodites in the game, they don’t have a choice what gender lol
BUT seriously, my opinion is it’s great but now you have the ball rolling you will have to implement Asexuals, gays, cross dressers and the rest to save yourself from discrimination or a form of bullying… Bugs Bunny pulls it off well
Conditions are awsome right now!
Coming from a perplex bunker healway condi removal ele I can easily drop a condi burst on a zerg in WvW and atleast down 2-4 people.
This is not what you guys wanted no? reducing outputs of power and focusing on buffing conditions?
I use Auto detect which puts eveything to lowest, then I make it slightly shiny by putting shaders on medium and animations on medium.
After I do that, I can actually see the gold in my juggernaut.
All these passives and no one cares about passive boons / procs… DATS WACISTS
Same boat….
Old customers/loyal player base are expected to pay more for the same game than newer players…
I’ll explain as simple as I can:
Player 1- Bought the game at release for $60-$80 depending on situations. (mine was $80, EB Games Australia)
Player 2- Still hasn’t looked at Guild wars 2 because they have been enjoying other games for the last 3 years
With the expansion coming out:
Player 1- Will now have to pay a further $50 for an expansion to a game they own, which I believe no one would have cared about, making a total of $110-$130 spent.
Player 2- Randomly walks into a game shop with some birthday money or spare cash, see’s Guild Wars 2 + expansion on sale for $50, takes it home and enjoys full benefits of a game, a total of $50 spent.
The loyal customer has paid more money just for the original game without the expansion while the new player pays less and acquires more. – Understandably making vet players a little angry and left out after having stuck with Anet for so long. The best compensation they can provide is a free game copy in which they hope player 1 will use to bring in player 3 but all that will most likely happen is a bunch of forgotten codes, hack accounts, alt accounts, spy accounts for wvw and what have nots… It will also provide an unrealistic view of how many actual players are on a server or play the game…. kinda adds to population balance problems even further.
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: sephiroth.4217
You really want them to pay the original price plus the expansion and thats not how you make money as a business.
No. I want Anet to offer them GW2 + HoT for $50, and offer me a separate option for just HoT.
There are 2 layers here. New players get GW2 for free, AND veteran players cannot buy HoT alone.
I kinda want Anet to make new customers pay 60 for the game like everyone else did, then make them spend another 50 for an expansion like what is expected of us.
Please dont add dire to pvp….
someone running PVT does next to no damage but can take a lot of hits… Adding Dire would be unbalanced as you would have a tank who can also do damage
A movement speed passive for out of combat.
Even maxed at 10% would help.

stability change and the kitten boring pirate ship meta since the patch
Yes, if I quit WvW its because of the pirate ship and commander focus meta.
Who’d ever thought we would miss hammer trains lol
6. I’d rather play CTF
Hurl is not a channelling skill
I’m aware of that, the example is 1/4 skills I have found to work in mist form.
A dev did say in the wvw section of the forums that they would be looking into changing the current wvw achievements to something more realistic. That was over eighteen months ago (approximately) so dont go holding your breath
They changed Master of Disaster (25k supply used or something) to “use 10 supply to build siege”
It used to be 1m used for building siege and 10m supplies used in total (building+repairing)
This man knows!
I must have been on the 25k tier lel, didn’t know it was that high.
GREAT IDEA!!!!
to make it fair for roamers: IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 3 PEOPLE ON YOU THEN YOU ARE INVULNERABLE – this is to prevent commanders using 50 man zergs to chase roamers.
nah its your fault if you run around alone in a game mode about large fights and battles.
I hear that all the time… “killing people doesn’t help your server, flipping camps and killing yaks does nothing to help your server”…
Cant wait for auto upgrades to be in effect where roamers will be forced to zerg to “help their server” instead of playing the game mode the way they enjoy it
Yay this thread again, I knew i forgot one on my list of topics that appear every 24 hours..
Reported on, waiting on devs response, etc. etc. etc.
Congrats on this being the 35th thread (i think) within the 2015 year. Here is your celebratory beer hat. Enjoy.
