Come over to tier 3 where everything’s a challenge. On Eredon Terrace. Should be the perfect place for people who have nothing better to do than brag all day about how good they are!

My issues with leagues was everyone transferred from lower spectrum of leagues to higher for those few greens and a rare.
Also for servers that are completely stacked, face rolling everyone, had some fights here and there that were a lot of fun but the more I die to a 5v50 and watch 30 people emote about it the more I lose interest in the game, congrats to those guys for stacking and pressing 1 for hours.

Need a repair vendor, looks good, not sure about GvG’s or duels though. Everyone in my match up is getting killed by FA, yes all those red names are FA in the arena plus there is about another 15 at spawn.

Heavy lack of roamers this match up or atleast at the moment, only one decent 1v1 in over an hour, every other fight has been me chasing people into groups of 7+

I would say Yaks Bend…. Only server I have seen since leagues to start to actually hold what they cap as frustrating as it was, seems they still hold onto the tactics > Karma train.
Otherwise after being on 3 servers, FA/IOJ/GoM…. IOJ has the friendliest community I have been on and I love it here, even though we get steamrolled everyday it’s always fun no matter what we try doing

Ranger isnt the best 1vs1 class.in the leaderboard is rank 1 guard, 2-5 is S/D thief, 6 is hammbow warrior. the best ranger is a spirit ranger, i think it was kenny and he also states that atm S/D is much more stronger. he always loses against sizer in 1vs1
Correct me if I’m wrong here but you keep referring to sPvP in both your posts, while you may be right about how bad ranger is in sPvP, I believe the OP made his original comment in a WvW thread so I’m taking a wild guess he wants to know strongest 1v1 build/class for WvW. Also judging from topic title 1v1 class I’m presuming he wants to roam and roamers need to be able to solo flip camps which is super easy when you have a pet
I’m not saying Ranger is best by default nor any class, Ranger is definitely one of the strongest classes in the right hands, but so is any class like a decent engie or guardian. Some classes click for some people and some don’t.
Rangers can be an easy class to learn, it’s nothing special but this is what I did as my 1st time roaming in WvW with a new build and weapon set, somehow came out ontop of a 1v3
IMO the strongest 1v1 class is ranger but only if you know how to play the class well, otherwise is you want it easy and dominant then a complete cheese warrior with perplex runes and traited for confusion on interrupt will let you stack 21 confusion on 2 interrupts.
In the end though I say it just comes down to how well you know your class and how well your enemy knows their class.

Go up to a YB zerg, poke around, very entertaining to continually have 10-15 people try and chase me, my favourite was being chased from duri, up the side of SM, across ANZ then finally dying at spel

This SS doesn’t show kitten. It shows red marks. For all I know the AC is built in the lords room behind you and your stupid enough not to know it. Get kitten it vid of where it is and show me his screens aspect ratio and I’ll believe you mate. <3

I think his point was that your screens didn’t show where the arrow carts were (looks like at least 2). The rings on the ground hitting your ac down there can be legit because of the gap above the gate. As for the ones on the supply hut, I don’t know. I’m not familiar enough with EGB to say for sure, but it might be possible to target the underside of the hut through the gap in the gate, and I think there’s also a hill or something to the South that might give vision up there. That’s why it helps to know exactly where the acs are.
To be honest I couldn’t find them by the time your zerg rushed in when wall went down, my sarcasm was only implied towards your team mate because he decided to be insulting instead of civil like yourself, and yer I myself use the door gap one, it was mainly just the supply hut that had me confused due to not being able to see an arrowcart on the hill next to pang entrance or on the hill opposite us.

Yay… More PvE shoved down my throat just to keep up with the people who prefer to fight NPCs over people….
The way this power creep is going in WvW and PvE shoved down my throat patch after patch, I really start to worry about WvW but then I realize the WvW I enjoyed 8+ months ago where golems were rare and it actually felt like a warzone > over karma farming is looooooooooong gone.
First wvw is part of PvE. There is a lot of pve in wvw and in a way wvw is not made to be a pure pvp like spvp.
This is in no way power creep. Its just adding in a new way of building there is a power version there is a healing power version etc.. why not add in more def version of them? 8 months ago karma farming was a great deal worst as in the rewards for taking camps where a great deal better for the time spend then taking towers and keeps. The game has moved away from karma farming and now is more about fighting other ppl in both open fields and for tower / keeps.
More then likely you “enjoyed” rolling over ppl who did not know what they where doing now that they do and they know how to use the tools of wvw you need to work to kill ppl and now your losing fights.

3: it was my opinion, not yours. (thought I made that clear with the use of words like “my and I”) And judging from the server you’re on “open field fights and no karma training” is lies, FA and every other server except NSP use our BL every day as a karma train. If anything FA is the worst for the k train, and I’m only making that judgement when you guys let a 4 man party flip your hills and garrison and when I say “guys”, I mean the 20 FA who stood around watching us on the roof of garrison. (refer to link if you don’t believe me)
4: PvE IS getting thrown down our throats, unless you only started playing WvW about the time of scarlette and all you know is scarlettes minions are attacking some where, atleast that would make sense why you think PvE is clearly not being thrown at us in WvW when they implemented that toxic living story.
5: 8 months ago, servers didn’t throw 10-20 omegas at paper towers and keeps due to golems actually being pricey and not being on the trading post and ram masteries didn’t exist making reinforced gates redundant.

IMO – gates should get fortified with the rest of the tower with the fortify upgrade….. Flame ram masteries is great and all but where is our counter for it?
Walls can get upgraded twice from regular to reinforced to fortify but the gates only go to reinforced… Oil does barely anything unless you can man it without dying in the first 2 seconds and same goes for cannons and if you do live then thank the 15 necros below for placing 40 staff marks on it with 10 fears to keep you away.

Yay… More PvE shoved down my throat just to keep up with the people who prefer to fight NPCs over people….
The way this power creep is going in WvW and PvE shoved down my throat patch after patch, I really start to worry about WvW but then I realize the WvW I enjoyed 8+ months ago where golems were rare and it actually felt like a warzone > over karma farming is looooooooooong gone.

Great siege towards our IOJ EB keep from YB, was really impressed with the amount of golems you guys threw at us but meh, fun siege over all in the end

If you plan on following the zerg then Ranger with valkyrie gear, scholar runes and sigils of force running 30/30/?/?/?
Why would you do that?
Just take a look at runes of the ranger. They are cheaper and better in every aspect.
A single opponent with retal is enough for you to drop below 90% easily, while the runes of the ranger will yield you +5% damage regardless of circumstances, cause even if the pet is defeated, it’s still there, thus, the 5% damage bonus will apply.
On that build with that ranger I have troll urgent heal (not sure on exact spelling) and it’s something that works well for me in the back lines dropping DPS onto everyone else, not everyones builds will work the same for everyone else, was only trying to help out the OP with a rough ranger guide due to me having 2 rangers as my mains….. I can’t comment on other classes for DPS in zergs and my other ranger is set up for group work, roaming and sPvP…
